On September 15, Digital Realty (NYSE:DLR) made ServiceFabric MCP available, a software layer that lets AI agents design, monitor and troubleshoot network connections across more than 800 data centers, including third-party sites. That nudges a real estate company toward becoming a control panel for enterprise AI. It arrives after second quarter results reported on July 23, when Core FFO per share, the company's preferred earnings yardstick, excluding net promote rose to $2.13 from $1.87 a year earlier. Here is what the launch does, and what it has yet to prove.
The pitch is that enterprise AI needs more than servers. It needs power, cooling, and sovereign placement that software can control. ServiceFabric MCP handles four jobs: designing and provisioning connections, spotting capacity and watching live network health, managing access through OAuth 2, and handing troubleshooting to agents with links into chat and monitoring tools. It is also open by design. Customers do not have to live only in Digital Realty buildings or commit to a single AI model. An IDC research VP argues that public cloud interfaces alone cannot give enterprises enough control over data movement and policy, which favors providers that pair global reach with programmable interconnection. Digital Realty runs the system on its own AI workloads, and See All AI, a medical imaging developer, leans on the Boston campus and ServiceFabric to move large datasets quickly and securely.
The financial engine underneath is running hot. Renewal leases in the second quarter were signed at rates 25.4% higher on a cash basis, which shows customers will pay more to stay put. Signed leases waiting to start added up to a $1.9 billion backlog of annualized base rent at 100% share, so future revenue is already lined up. Management responded by lifting its 2026 Core FFO per share outlook, excluding net promote, to $8.15 to $8.20.
Start with what the launch has not shown yet. Digital Realty itself calls MCP an emerging standard, and ServiceFabric MCP is still being validated across internal, enterprise, and partner deployments. The announcement puts no dollar figure on what it could add to revenue, and the company describes it only as the first programmable surface of a larger architecture that may later stretch into ***** e, power and inventory. Until customers pay for this layer, it is a promising idea more than a line item.
Then there is the bill for the physical side. NEW YORK, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Oil prices settled $3 higher on Tuesday after shipping industry sources said crude loadings at Saudi Arabia's Red Sea export hub of Yanbu had been suspended and Riyadh had canceled some cargo deliveries to European customers, deepening concerns that disruptions to a critical oil-export route could persist for weeks.
Gains in U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude futures outpaced Brent on Tuesday, as fears that Saudi Arabia's supply troubles were widening sent investors rushing into U.S. crude as an alternative.
Brent finished up $3.07, or 2.9%, at $108.75 a barrel, while WTI closed up $4.44, or 4.38%, at $105.83 a barrel. Both contracts closed at their highest since May 19.
The port of Yanbu has taken on outsized importance for global supply since the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran caused the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway that was the conduit for one-fifth of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas supplies.

Former Australia opener David Warner found himself in a playful social media exchange with England's famous fan group, the Barmy Army, on Friday, and the banter quickly moved from Saim Ayub's ducks to Marnus Labuschagne's century drought, England's curfew troubles and Warner's long-running Stuart Broad problem.
It all started when the Barmy Army took a dig at Warner after Pakistan batter Saim Ayub registered a pair of ducks in the final Test against England at Edgbaston. The England fan group posted a statistic pointing out that Ayub had now registered a pair twice on English soil.
Replying to the Barmy Army, Warner wrote: "Interesting stat. When was the last time I went 42 innings without a Test hundred??"
The reference was not actually about Warner. The 42 innings was a cheeky dig at former Australia teammate Marnus Labuschagne, who had gone through a lengthy drought without a Test century. According to Geo News, the Pakistan duo have now been summoned by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) over information reportedly obtained from their mobile phones. And as if that wasn't enough, both players are also set to miss the opening round of the President's Trophy Grade-I after failing to undergo mandatory fitness tests.
It has been quite the homecoming.
Rizwan and Imam were among seven players sent back to Pakistan by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) following the team's heavy defeat to England at Lord's. The decision came after Pakistan's struggles in the Test series, but the drama clearly didn't end when the players boarded their flights home.
According to Geo News, the NCCIA has issued notices to Rizwan and Imam as part of an investigation involving information retrieved from their mobile phones.
The PCB had reportedly taken custody of the players' phones before handing them over to the relevant authorities. Geo News reported that Rizwan and Imam were questioned by the NCCIA for around two hours, with the inquiry reportedly linked to alleged dressing-room leaks during the England series.
The exact circumstances surrounding the investigation remain unclear, and being questioned does not establish any wrongdoing by either player. But for two cricketers who probably wanted nothing more than to forget the England tour, it is certainly an unusual sequel.

Eminem's ex-wife Kim Mathers is reportedly not behind bars and is now in treatment amid her legal troubles.
On Thursday, September 10, The U.S. Sun reported that Kim, 51 — who has struggled with substance abuse over the years — was released from jail in Michigan as the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office confirmed she "is no longer in custody at the Macomb County Jail."
A jail spokesperson told the outlet she was only behind bars for a few days and was most likely released because she secured a spot for treatment.

But the three-armed robotic salvager had to turn away because it was low on fuel, according to Katalyst **** e Technologies, which attempted the daring operation.
"We got so close, but so far," Katalyst CEO Ghonhee Lee told The **** ociated Press this week.

Transformers director Michael Bay recently revealed that he spoke with original franchise star Shia LaBeouf earlier this year. However, their conversation did not touch on the actor's legal troubles. LaBeouf was arrested in New Orleans on February 17 following a confrontation during Mardi Gras. He was charged with three counts after allegedly punching two men outside a French Quarter bar.
Bay, who directed LaBeouf in three Transformers movies, told TMZ that he last communicated with LaBeouf roughly six months ago. The 61-year-old said, "He called me, and this was a very nice call he gave. He said he went on the Transformers Universal ride with his daughter."
Bay said LaBeouf told him he had finally watched their movies through his daughter's eyes and cried. LaBeouf had never told his daughter that he appeared in the films, but she was drawn to the Transformers ride. Bay called the experience a "great story." LaBeouf, who played the lead character, Sam Witwicky, shares a four-year-old daughter, Isabel, with The Odyssey actress Mia Goth.

Smith was arrested on July 27 in his native Nebraska on three felony charges of first-degree domestic ****** ault, terroristic threats, and first-degree false imprisonment. He has since pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released after posting a $500,000 bond.
Gamebred FC has announced that Smith will return to the cage against Jordan Heiderman on October 2.

The Jays had all sorts of troubles with Guardians starter Gavin Williams. Well, really just one trouble. They couldn't hit him. Williams went seven innings and allowed just two hits and a walk with thirteen strikeouts.
Our one run was in the fourth. Kazuma Okamoto led off with a single. After Andrés Giménez struck out, Ernie Clement went to a full count and the Jays sent Okamoto (surprising me, Oka is not fast and the Jays were striking out a lot). Clement took ball four, but the Guardians threw to second anyway. The throw was well wide of second and Okamoto went to third on the play. After Myles Straw struck out (I really thought that he had to make contact or we weren't going to score at all today) Williams threw a wild pitch to Brett Bateman, allowing Oka to score. Oka going first to home without the help of a hit wasn't on my bingo card.
The Jays didn't have any more luck against Guardian relievers, Hunter Gaddis and Matt Festa.

The research shows that 38% of professional services employees spend at least 11% of their working week – representing upwards of four hours for standard full-time staff – handling complications caused by fragmented systems.
Around 23% dedicate more than a fifth of their working hours to troubleshooting difficulties created by disconnected applications and processes.

Famous Dex is once again behind bars, this time in Las Vegas on a domestic battery charge.
The Chicago rapper, whose legal name is Dexter Tiewon Gore Jr., was taken into custody Sunday, Aug. 23, and booked on the charge, according to TMZ. As of Tuesday (Aug. 25), he remained in custody at a Las Vegas jail.
The arrest marks a troubling reversal for an artist who had spoken publicly about getting his life in order. As recently as April 2023, Dex told TMZ he was 11 months sober and announced a collaborative album, Rich Forever 5, alongside Rich The Kid and Jay Critch.
The latest charge arrives years after a string of serious legal troubles in California. The Guardians scored early to give Parker Messick a small lead to work with, which has been rare of late for Cleveland's best pitcher and Cy Young/Rookie of the Year candidate.
Nathaniel "Knows What to Do With RISP" Lowe got a sacrifice fly in the third after a Kwan walk, Jose single and Jo Adell walk. Rocchio had flied out sharply to begin the inning and Angel Genao was putting up an excellent AB when Adell was caught in a rundown that ended with Jose getting tagged out at third.
Messick's only troublesome inning was the fourth where a single from Zach Neto and single from Mike Trout allowed a Moises Ballesteros single to drive in the Angels' only run to tie the game at 1. I am so impressed with how Messick never gets frustrated. He finds his center and gets himself out of trouble over and over.

Retailers' Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT) and Target Corporation (NYSE:TGT)'s shares are on two opposite spectrums when it comes to year-to-date performance. The latter's stock is down by 8% whole the latter is up by 64%. Cramer discussed the divergence between the two stocks and outlined that while he believed Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT)'s share price troubles had led to as tock that was too cheap, he didn't think the shares could drop further in terms of valuation:
"The one that I want to. . .I think Walmart is, I think you buy it and then you buy it after. Because we have not seen, Walmart does have a high PE, but I think it's worthy of it.
"I know that John Furner's unproven, as CEO. But I would say that Mr. McMillan, I love him and I think he's taught him well. And you still have John David Rainey there. I just feel like this is the stock that has already come down. I don't think it's going to get to a 20 PE ever again, I think it's got too much growth. But I recognize, it's unloved, it's only up 2.5%, everyone loves Target. And I do like the new management of Target and the comparisons are very easy. But Target's up 57%, 18 times earnings. . ."

The central theme for Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT), following the earnings, is whether the firm's gains in the online segment will transform into sustainable gains for the income statement. Starting from the basics, the firm beat ***** yst revenue and earnings estimates for its fiscal Q2.
While revenue in Q2 grew by 5.9%, Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT)'s global eCommerce sales jumped by 23% to significantly outpace revenue growth. More importantly, the firm also claimed that 50% US marketplace volume was through its fulfilment services. Additionally, media reports have also suggested that Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT) has managed to grow its digital advertising business by 26% annually to further complement its online growth. Yet, at the same time, the firm's status as a brick-and-mortar retailer generates worries about the impact of a consumer slowdown on the business. Walmart Inc. The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TJX) and Ross Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROST)'s shares have diverged in performance in 2026. Year-to-date, the former is down by 8.9% and the latter is up 30%. Cramer, on August 17th, discussed the divergence in the share price. He lamented the fact that The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TJX) was suffering despite performing well and discussed the firm's CEO in relation to the share price movement. On the flipside, the CNBC TV host attributed Ross Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROST)'s price performance to its CEO:
"Walmart and TJX, which are the acknowledged two best, have been the worst. And it's really rather interesting to see the best trade, not really as well, like Ross Stores has a fantastic CEO, I don't know if anyone remembers him from when he was at Boot Barn, Jim Conroy. But holy cow, is he good. And he has moved that stock up. . .Jim Conroy's come in there and he's just crushed it. In the meantime, TJX, which is doing so well as a company, people don't like. So there's a lot of front seat, back seat, Lowe's better than Home Depot, Target better than Walmart, Ross better than TJX. Almost a change in the guard except for the fact that the guard isn't as good."

(NYSE:TJX)'s Q3 margin guide of 11.8% to 11.9%, which was rather tight and generated speculation about the possibility of heightened global shipping tightness and higher domestic wages affecting the firm's stock. Additionally, the year-to-date price gains have also led to a forward P/E multiple of 27 which is at the high end of the historic range to leave little room for error. Similarly, The TJX Companies, Inc. (NYSE:TJX)'s Q3 EPS same store sales and EPS guides also missed estimates to hint that perhaps the troubles had already arrived.

Entertainment giant The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS)'s shares are down by 9% over the past year and by 3.6% year-to-date. One aspect of the firm that Cramer regularly discusses is its cruise ship business. For instance, in August 2025, the CNBC TV host predicted that The Walt Disney Company (NYSE:DIS) would make "a lot of money" with its cruise ship business. ZANDVOORT, Netherlands (AP) — Lando Norris says he doesn't yet have a car capable of vying for the Formula 1 **** le despite back-to-back Grand Prix wins but he could "win every race" remaining this season if McLaren manages to solve its biggest vulnerability.
The F1 defending champion boosted his **** le chances with victory at the Dutch GP on Sunday after a daring pass on standings leader Kimi Antonelli in the process.
"I know I've just won two races in a row and had two poles in a row, but at the minute I don't have the car I need to fight for a championship," Norris said after the race. He added that the right changes to target McLaren's troubles in slow-speed corners could set him up to chase down Mercedes driver Antonelli.
"We're very, very strong in high-speed (corners), and that's the place we've improved the car the most ... No one matches us in high speed, and that's a good thing," Norris said.
However, Norris added that "Mercedes' advantage that they have to us in slow speed is also crazy."

Manchester City begin a new era this weekend as Enzo Maresca takes charge of his first Premier League game of the 2026/27 season at home to Bournemouth.
City begin their first season since 2016/17 without Pep Guardiola at the helm, though there is plenty of faith in Maresca, who himself previously served under the Spaniard as an ***** istant manager.
The Italian returns in the top job after an underwhelming spell at Chelsea, and he is tasked with returning City to the summit of the Premier League.
He will have to do it the hard way though, with City having lost the likes of Rodri and Bernardo Silva over the summer. The 3-0 loss to ***** nal in the Community Shield comes too soon to cause real worry, but City will have to make a good start to the season to allay fears of wider troubles across the team.
As for Bournemouth, they begin a new era of their own under Marco Rose, with the German hoping to build on the foundations laid by Andoni Iraola as he leads the Cherries in their first ever season in Europe.

MONTREAL, Aug 22 (Reuters) - When U.S. President Donald Trump levied 50% tariffs on Canadian steel in June last year, a steel factory in Canada's mostly French-speaking province of Quebec lost about a third of its orders for bolts and fasteners in less than a week.
The factory owner - The Heico Companies - froze hiring, closed a plant in the region and laid off several dozen people, said David Jeannotte, an operations director, whose own brother lost his job. The cuts were part of 140 layoffs by the company, mainly in Quebec.
The factory's troubles reflect broader anxiety over the fallout from Trump's trade war in Quebec, which is due to hold a provincial election by October 5. But while some previous economic slowdowns in the province prompted an increase in separatist sentiment, polls show that this time around, support for an independent Quebec is at its lowest level in decades, at about 30%.
"As long as Trump will be in his chair, I don't feel that we even need to talk about that," Jeannotte said.

The UK's first national day for victims and survivors of terrorism is being held in London on Friday where those affected by the violence of the Troubles will be in attendance.
The day aims to recognise people impacted by terrorism including victims and their families, witnesses and the emergency services, as well as raising awareness about specialist support.
For the rest of the UK, these could be terror attacks such as the London Bridge terror attack, the Manchester Arena attack in 2017 or the 7/7 bombings.
But in Northern Ireland, many will be remembering the atrocities of the Troubles, which lasted 30 years and cost the lives of more than 3,500 people.
The government said it introduced the national day for victims and survivors of terrorism following campaigning from victims and survivors for better recognition of their lived experiences.
