In August, wages for Buffalo workers grew by 6.4% from the same time last year. ADP's figures are for gross pay, which includes overtime, bonuses, commissions, and tips.

A cryptocurrency ETF is an exchange-traded fund that gives investors exposure to cryptocurrency through a regular brokerage account with no crypto wallet, exchange, or private keys required. The most important type is the spot ETF, which holds the actual cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ether, etc.) in secure custody, so the fund's price tracks the real-time price of the coin. When you buy a share, you're getting direct exposure to the underlying **** et, wrapped in the familiar, regulated ETF structure. One technical note: U.S. spot crypto funds are structured as exchange-traded products — grantor trusts registered under the Securities Act of 1933 — rather than as 1940 Act ETFs, so they trade just like ETFs but do not carry all of the same investor protections.
This is a big deal because it removes the biggest barriers to crypto investing: custody risk, exchange hacks, and technical complexity. It also brings crypto into tax-advantaged accounts and lets investors hold it alongside their stocks and bonds in one place.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs launched in the U.S. in January 2024 and have become the fastest-growing ETF category ever. In 2026 they dominate the crypto ETF landscape.
IBIT (iShares Bitcoin Trust) was one of the first to market and is the runaway leader, with roughly $71 billion in **** ets — well over half of the entire spot Bitcoin ETF market. BlackRock's fund has become the default vehicle for institutional and retail Bitcoin exposure alike, prized for its deep liquidity and low cost. FBTC (Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund) is second with about $18 billion, and GBTC (Grayscale Bitcoin Trust), the converted legacy fund, holds around $15 billion despite its higher fee. For most investors seeking Bitcoin exposure, IBIT and FBTC are the go-to, low-cost choices.
Spot Ethereum ETFs followed in July 2024 and form the second pillar of the crypto ETF world. ETHA (iShares Ethereum Trust) leads with roughly $11 billion in **** ets, followed by FETH (Fidelity Ethereum Fund) at about $2.3 billion. Ethereum offers a different investment thesis than Bitcoin as it's the backbone of decentralized applications, smart contracts, and much of the tokenization trend. This means ether ETFs give investors exposure to a distinct part of the digital-asset ecosystem.

F1 drivers check out the new Madring circuit ahead of the Spanish GP, as they discuss the dangers, difficulties in overtaking and getting a lap done, and talk about the La Monumental corner.
Jeddah? Macau? Monaco? Baku? Zandvoort? The new Madring circuit has been compared to a lot of other tracks on the F1 calendar due to its nature and layout. The drivers are bracing for a hard and tough outing in this weekend's Spanish GP. The narrow and high-speed combination never works well for everyone, with the Saudi Arabian GP a prime example in recent times.
Of course, the F1 drivers eventually find a way through to get things right. But still, ahead of the start, they have mixed emotions, with most agreeing that it will be dangerous. Even though some feel it will not be as dangerous as Jeddah already is, the majority agree that defending will be much easier and overtaking much harder, as seen in Monaco.
Even getting a lap right in qualifying will be a challenge, which the F1 drivers accept. Almost everyone has had a run in the simulator, but they are waiting for the real feel, as the speed and power can only be ascertained once someone is really on track. One of its major attractions is the long, banked La Monumental, which, of course, everyone is looking to try in the real car.

The diversified S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) and the technology-heavy Nasdaq-100 are two widely followed stock market indexes that are packed with America's highest-quality companies. They have returned 12.7% and 17% respectively so far in 2026, as of the market close last Friday, Sept. 4.

The Vanguard Russell 2000 ETF (NASDAQ: VTWO) is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) that mimics the Russell 2000. It could face a reckoning on Sept. 15 and 16, when the U.S. Federal Reserve holds its next policy meeting. The odds of an interest rate hike are increasing, and for reasons I'll soon explain, small American companies tend to be more sensitive to such policy adjustments than their larger counterparts.
The companies in both the S&P 500 and the Russell 2000 come from 11 different economic sectors, so both indexes are highly diversified. However, the technology sector alone accounts for over one-third of the value of the entire S&P, whereas the Russell is far more balanced. However, with many stocks continuing to perform well, the index, which tracks the leading companies on U.S. markets, has thrived.
Gold, meanwhile, which investors typically turn to when they're worried about the stock market, has been going in the opposite direction. Its value has been diminishing, a sharp turnaround from earlier in the year, when gold was hitting record levels. The SPDR Gold Shares(NYSEMKT:GLD) fund, which tracks gold, is up only 3% this year.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) raised the price of Apple TV in the U.S. to $14.99 a month from $12.99 and increased the individual Apple One bundle to $21.95 a month from $19.95, CNBC reported.
Apple TV launched in 2019 at $4.99 a month and has since added significant content, including the film "F1" and a fourth season of "Ted Lasso." The move follows a $1-a-month increase to Apple Music in July, which Apple attributed to licensing costs. Apple reported $30.7 billion in services revenue for its fiscal third quarter, up 12% year over year. The segment's gross margin fell more than a percentage point sequentially, which the company blamed on product mix and foreign exchange headwinds.
The higher price shows a genuinely larger content library, not just a margin grab. Apple TV launched with limited programming at $4.99 a month. It now includes award-winning originals like "Severance" and blockbuster films like "F1" and gives Apple a stronger case that the price increase tracks real value added rather than outpacing what subscribers get.
Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is raising prices in step with the rest of the industry, not standing out as an outlier. Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and Peacock have all raised their own prices recently, reducing the competitive and reputational risk that price-sensitive subscribers abandon Apple TV specifically for a cheaper alternative.
Services remains a genuine growth engine with real momentum behind it. Revenue in the segment grew 12% to $30.7 billion in the fiscal third quarter, and price increases across Apple TV, Apple Music, and Apple One bundles all flow directly into that high-margin, recurring revenue line, reinforcing one of Apple's most valuable businesses beyond hardware sales.

Andrea Kimi Antonelli happy at Mercedes and he knows it is divided fan group with him leading and Ferrari doing well for Italian fans coming to the F1 Italian GP, as Lewis Hamilton chimes in.
When Antonelli arrived at the scene, it was not clear to everyone how well he could do, even though there was hype about him certainly. After how F1 2025 went, some enthusiasm dipped but midway into 2026, it is going through the roof for the Italian, especially in Italy.
When he went to pick up the Lorenzo Bandini Trophy earlier this year, there was massive stream of fans waiting for him. Even at race tracks, there is considerable growth in the numbers. In general as well, Italian fans are quite emotional about their sports persons and also teams.
Ferrari is at par with football if not larger, in certain sphere. For a top Italian driver to race for an Italian manufacturer is icing on the cake. The last to drive in F1 was Giancarlo Fisichella in 2009. It's been 17 years since and it will be longer than that as Antonelli is happy to be at Mercedes.
The Italian was taken up by the German team at a very young age and rose through the ranks, with Toto Wolff's backing. He is their prodigy, much like how Max Verstappen is for Red Bull and Charles Leclerc is in some ways for Ferrari. And for the near future, Antonelli doesn't see himself anywhere else.

After years of chasing his dream of becoming a professional race car driver, Frankie Muniz finally has a victory to celebrate.
Muniz earned the first professional racing win of his career Friday at Road America, taking the Am class victory in the Pirelli GT4 America Series alongside co-driver Tyler Stone. The duo drove the No. 30 TechSport Racing Ford Mustang GT4 to the historic result.
The victory was a major milestone for Muniz, who has spent years building a second career in motorsports after becoming famous as an actor. While Muniz has competed in several different racing series, including NASCAR, a professional victory had remained out of reach.
That finally changed at one of his favorite tracks.
Stone made the decisive move late in the race, taking the Am class lead with about five minutes remaining. He held off the competition to secure the win for the No. 30 Mustang, giving Muniz and the TechSport Racing team their first victory of the season.

The Miami Dolphins had to clear nearly 40 roster spots this weekend to make sure they were down to 53 players by the league's deadline, but during that process, general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan swung a trade.
On Sunday, Sullivan called up his old team and acquired quarterback Kyle McCord from the Green Bay Packers for a 2028 sixth-round pick. The 23-year-old just completed 65.7% of his passes for 446 yards and four touchdowns in his three preseason appearances.
Speaking to the media on Monday, Sullivan explained his decision to acquire the former Ohio State Buckeye.
"I've always been a fan of his," Sullivan said. "I feel like when you watch the kid play, he's a keep the train on the tracks kind of guy. I think he processes the game quick. I think he throws an accurate catchable football. He runs the offense, and I know he's a smart guy. I know he's a competitive guy. Scouted him in college, obviously followed him and tracked him through the preseason, and I thought he had an opportunity to come in here. We obviously want No. 2 out there, but if something happened, I thought he could run the offense and help give us a chance to win games."
Interestingly, the Dolphins had three other quarterbacks on their roster that they let go of over the weekend, as they released Cam Miller and Mark Gronowski and traded Quinn Ewers, who served as the team's backup last year, to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

A baseball season always comes with plenty of ups and downs. Nelson Velázquez's August alone included more than its fair share of downs.
The 27-year-old outfielder was designated for ***** ignment twice by two different teams, but just a week after that second team brought him right back, he delivered a huge home run in the Houston Astros' 6-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Monday at Daikin Park.
It was Velázquez's first hit for the Astros - the team that had designated him for ***** ignment just 11 days earlier - in a stint that had included just 11 at-bats, entering Monday, spread over two stints in August.
"Finally," he said with a smile in a celebratory Astros' clubhouse.
Velázquez was 0-for-12 with a sacrifice fly with his new team when he stepped to the plate with two outs and a runner on third in the fourth inning. He took a 1-1 belt-high fastball from White Sox starter Anthony Kay and blasted it 415 feet, banging it off the concrete barrier below the train tracks in left field.

The Houston Astros got key hits from Nelson Velázquez and Cam Smith to start strong on a tough stretch of games that could decide their fate in the American League West.
The Astros beat the Chicago White Sox 6-3 Monday night at Daikin Park in the first of 13 straight games against potential playoff teams with National League wild-card contenders Arizona Diamondbacks coming to town after the White Sox (72-65), who lead the AL Central, followed by a road trip to play likely NL wild-card team Philadelphia Phillies and Tampa Bay Rays, who have the best record in the American League.
The win pushed the Astros' record against opponents who are .500 or better to a Major League-best 26-14 (.650). They maintained their two-game lead over the Texas Rangers in the AL West and increased the lead over the Seattle Mariners, the defending division champions, to six games. Houston also climbed within 2 ½ games of the White Sox for the second seed in the postseason, which comes with a bye past the wild-card round.
The Astros (70-68) trailed 2-1 with two outs and **** ody on in the bottom of the fourth inning. After Smith sparked something with a triple, Velázquez delivered his first hit since the Astros claimed him off waivers three weeks ago, a two-run homer that banged off the barrier just below the train tracks in left field.
Smith helped add to the lead in the following inning. After singles by Christian Vázquez, Yordan Alvarez and Isaac Paredes loaded the bases, Christian Walker brought home a run with a walk to make it 4-2 Astros. The White Sox opted to pull starter Anthony Kay after he struck out Daulton Varsho so righty Trevor Richards could face Smith. It didn't work. Smith ripped a 2-2 changeup down the left-field line for a two-run double and a 6-2 lead.

Kyle Larson would like to see more changes to the NextGen car moving forward. The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion expressed enthusiasm about this Saturday's ****** e Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona, which will see a new rules package.
Larson believes the new rules package could be a game-changer in the type of racing seen at "The World Center of Racing." However, the driver of the No. 5 also is not sure it will make a difference.
Regardless, "Yung Money" supports the change and hopes to see more adjustments to the NextGen car in the future.
During a media session on Friday at Daytona, Larson said he is looking forward to trying something new in Saturday's ****** e Zero Sugar 400.
Because of the NextGen car, Larson said, things have gotten repetitive in NASCAR. In the weeks following Daytona, the Hendrick Motorsports star would not mind seeing different rules packages for other tracks in an effort to "spice things up."

Now that the Philadelphia Eagles' preseason schedule is over, the team's focus shifts to cutting their roster down to the regular season 53-player limit before the 6:00 PM Eastern deadline on Sunday, August 30. Here's our best effort at projecting what the INITIAL roster is going to look like. The Birds will likely make some tweaks (injured reserve placements, trades, waiver claims, etc.) before they actually play the Washington Commanders in Week 1. Note that this activity is about predicting what the Eagles WILL do as opposed to what we necessarily think they should do.

Hurts threw a lot of interceptions this summer, yes, but I challenge you to find a daily practice observer who feels like he had a bad camp. On the whole, the good outweighed the bad. It seems like he's embracing the new offensive direction. The Eagles are hoping Hurts doesn't get, well, hurt … because the depth behind him is very uninspiring. There was no clear winner from the Eagles' training camp backup quarterback battle. McKee somehow looked worse than ever after previously showing encouraging signs in previous years. Dalton looks somewhat physically diminished, which tracks for a quarterback entering his age 39 season. Maybe he gets traded … but what price is he even fetching at this point? I wonder if the Eagles might trade both Dalton (for very meager draft pick compensation) AND McKee (included in a deal for another team's quarterback, such as Anthony Richardson or J.J. McCarthy)? Payton has shown some promise but the Eagles didn't really do a good job of getting him more action in the preseason. Utilizing him on special teams in the final preseason game points to them trying to find a role for him. This is a tough position to figure out.

Investor demand for commercial real estate surged this summer, driven by increased liquidity in the credit markets.
Competitiveness in investment sales transactions reached its highest point in more than a year, while competition from the credit markets is higher than JLL has ever recorded, according to quarterly bidding and credit indexes the company released this week. For July CRE transactions, JLL recorded the second-highest number of unique bidders in the last five years.
"Liquidity is back — and building," JLL CEO of Capital Markets Richard Bloxam said in a statement. "The exceptional strength we have seen in credit markets over the past year is now directly propelling transaction activity."
Lender confidence has spread into the equity market with buyers stepping up with clear intent on larger deals, Bloxam said.
That momentum was recorded in JLL's Global Bid Intensity Index and Global Credit Intensity Index. The former measures bidder activity on investment sales transactions and the difference between winning bids and asking prices. The latter tracks the number of lenders quoting on loans and the average winning loan-to-value ratio.

WEST ALLIS – Felix Rosenqvist can point to hundreds of decisions in or out of his control that could have pointed his career in a different direction.
One of the biggest, though, was the choice by Brian Belardi, a Mequon native then running an Indy Lights team, to help Rosenqvist get to the United States, which helped him launch an IndyCar career and ultimately win the 110th Indianapolis 500 this May.
"I think Indy, when you win that race, it's the one race where you actually start to look backward a lot at how everything brought you to that moment," Rosenqvist said during a stop at one of Belardi's home tracks, the Milwaukee Mile.
"It's a cool thing because you don't really regret anything either, because once you're there everything led me here, right? But yeah, Brian was definitely one of the reasons I got here."
Rosenqvist, eighth in the NTT IndyCar Series standings, is still looking for his second win of the year following Indy and will have two chances in the Snap-on Milwaukee Mile 250 doubleheader weekend Aug. 28-30.

NEW DELHI: When Ishan Kishan walks out to bat, the image that usually comes to mind is that of a left-handed batter hitting big sixes, playing brutal pull shots and putting bowlers under pressure. Kishan is known for his aggressive style in white-ball cricket. But on Tuesday, the 28-year-old made it clear that he also loves the challenge of red-ball cricket.

The East Zone captain led his team to a massive innings and 210-run win over North East Zone at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 2 in Bengaluru.

"I enjoy red-ball [cricket] very much. I think people don't believe me when I say that smiles, but it's, I'm being very honest, I really do enjoy red-ball cricket," Kishan told Cricinfo.

Kishan has played 32 ODIs and 55 T20Is for India, apart from 134 IPL matches. His last of two Test appearances came in July 2023. Despite his limited opportunities in Test cricket, his love for the red-ball format remains strong.

"It's always fun to be part of it because I love that challenge when, you know, yes, it's easier to bat on flat tracks and it's fun as well, but the competition which goes around in Test match[es] is some different-level thing," he said.

The match against North East Zone was Kishan's 65th first-class appearance. His previous first-class game was against Baroda in the Ranji Trophy in November 2025. In the nine months between the two matches, Kishan played 59 games across international and domestic cricket, including the IPL.

As someone who has played plenty of white-ball cricket, he admitted that moving back to the red ball was not easy.

"Situations will get tricky," he said in Bengaluru, where the Duleep Trophy is being held. "It will not be easy for us as players to just move around from white ball to red ball, red ball to white ball; change of format, change of gameplay, but that is the fun part about this game," Kishan said.

He spoke about the pressure and challenges that players deal with away from the field.

"You need to understand, as a sportsman, life can be harsh on us. It just looks very simple, like [a] player just comes here, plays their matches, and they leave. It's not like that. They go around, they keep on thinking, there's so much going on in their head every time."

But Kishan believes players cannot keep making excuses if they want to succeed.

"If you want to make it big," Kishan said, "you want to make it count, you can't have many excuses. But at the same time, I feel you should just think about getting better and not cry about things which you cannot control."
Kishan's innings in the match lasted only four runs. He reached out for a wide ball and tried to guide it behind point before being caught behind.

The wicketkeeper-batter admitted that the shot came naturally and he immediately regretted playing it.

"I was in the middle of the shot, and I was like 'what the heck I was trying to do!' I should know this is [a] Test [first-class] match and I need to leave a few **** . So
