Investing in high-yield dividend stocks can be a solid portfolio move and give investors some nice supplemental income. However, not all dividend stocks are created equal. Pfizer took on significant debt when it acquired Seagen for $43 billion in December 2023 to strengthen its oncology portfolio. That has left the company with over $60 billion in debt and high interest expenses. The company paid out $9.7 billion in dividends last year while generating $9.1 billion in free cash flow, so it paid out more in dividends than it generated in cash. That has continued through the first six months of 2026.

CleanSpark just announced a Mag 7 tenant for its first AI site, in a bullish disclosure for the former bitcoin miner as it seeks $2B in financing for its first AI site at a time when capital could get more expensive following the Fed's rate hike yesterday.
CleanSpark announced its first-ever AI lease on July 14 – a 20-year, $6.6B deal for 175 critical IT MWs at its Sandersville, Georgia, facility. But at the time, CleanSpark didn't disclose the tenant.
An SEC filing from today reveals that tenant is Meta, the social-media stalwart turned digital marketing giant and burgeoning AI lab, by way of its wholly owned subsidiary, Anviran. But that's not even the most interesting part – this ******* ociation also means that Meta holds an LOI for 885 MW from CleanSpark's Sealy and Brazoria, Texas, sites, since CleanSpark in July said the Sandersville counterparty also signed an exclusivity agreement for those sites.
The filing says that Meta will serve as "guarantor of rent and operating expenses," with the parent company backstopping Anviran.
And this backstop is more important now than ever. As we covered on the show yesterday, the Fed's 25-basis-point rate hike could lead to not just higher borrowing costs but also tightened credit access for non-investment-grade companies.

Italian food-and-drinks group NewPrinces is dipping its toe into energy drinks, with the launch of a brand called Spartan in its home market.
In a post on LinkedIn, the fruit juices and soft drinks maker said the energy drinks line is being sold through Carrefour stores in Italy.
NewPrinces struck a deal to acquire Carrefour's operations in the country last year, as part of what it then described as "vertical integration between production and distribution".
The deal gave NewPrinces, which is one of Italy's largest food manufacturers, ownership of over 1,000 stores in the country.
Spartan is available in "original" and sugar-free versions. The drinks are "enriched with vitamin B6 and a source of vitamin B12", the group said in its social media post.

The rally in Circle (CRCL) stock could just be starting.
The call: With bitcoin (BTC-USD) prices coming back to life as the Treasury injects liquidity into the bond market, Circle shares have been rocking. The stock is up 23% in the past five days and trading at its highest level since mid-June, per Yahoo Finance AlphaSpace data.
Bernstein **** yst Gautam Chhugani reiterated his Outperform rating on the stock and set a $140 price target in a note on Monday, implying at least 75% upside.
Chhugani outlined three main bullish points on Circle:
"We believe the recent momentum in crypto markets can be enduring, and we could be at the beginning of a new expansion cycle driven by macro regime change, real-world blockchain capital markets, stablecoin payments adoption (not just crypto) and some nascent signs of a stablecoin-led agentic economy."

Airbnb (ABNB) stock jumped 17.43% on Aug. 7, closing at $178.07 at its highest level in four years. The move followed a strong second-quarter report and Airbnb's second full-year guidance increase for 2026. Revenue rose 16.5% year-over-year (YOY) to $3.61 billion, while earnings came in at $1.37 per share, ahead of the $1.26 ******* yst estimate. The stock is now up more than 35% this year, and its options market is pointing to more upside, with the high end of contract pricing near $200, or about 13% above the current price over the next five months.

On the heels of massive gains across the first half of 2026, Micron stock suffered a huge sell-off in July in response to earnings reports and guidance from South Korean memory chip leaders and potential threats posed by the rise of competition from Chinese companies. In addition to those bearish catalysts, Micron's share price was also pressured by macroeconomic and geopolitical dynamics.
