The Golden State Warriors with Kevin Durant are widely considered to be the most stacked team in NBA history. But KD himself thinks it was his best roster.
Kevin Durant's move to the Golden State Warriors back in 2016 was one of the most unpopular decisions in NBA history. This was largely due to the fact that his addition made them virtually unstoppable.
The Warriors showed this almost instantly, too. The team won back-to-back NBA championships in ruthless fashion, barely losing any games on their way to winning it all.
Durant left the Warriors in 2019, but it wasn't the last superteam he played on. And even though the Brooklyn Nets never got to the promised land, Durant thinks that roster was even more loaded.

Umar Nurmagomedov thinks his brother, Usman Nurmagomedov, can compete with the UFC's best.
Usman (22-0), who became a free agent after knocking out Archie Colgan at PFL New York last month, could be UFC bound if he opts not to re-sign with PFL. His older brother Umar raved about his work ethic, and thinks he's ready for the elite of the UFC's lightweight division – including champion Justin Gaethje.
"He's an amazing fighter, and I'm a huge fan of his," Nurmagomedov told MMA Junkie of Usman. "I like how he spars, how he works, how he does everything as a professional. And even in the cage, he shows he's a high-level fighter. I think he can be competitive with anybody in the world.
"Sometimes people think in other promotions, (they're) bad fighters, but it's not like that. For example, Shabliy is one of the toughest guys, Alexandr Shabliy. Even Arman (Tsarukyan) knows that because he sparred with him a lot. He knows how he's tough, and I think Usman can compete with anybody in the world. Gaethje, Ilia (Topuria), Arman, (Mauricio) Ruffy, anybody."
Their teammate, UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev, has openly said he wants to see Usman in the UFC. Nurmagomedov on the other hand, wasn't as direct with his opinion.

Former NBA player Enes Kanter is making the media rounds after a very public display at a recent WNBA game.
Kanter was ejected from a recent game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever after getting in a verbal altercation with the Sky's Natasha Cloud. He was wearing a shirt that featured a definition of the term "woman" and seemed to be instigating the situation. He is now trying to make his overall intentions clear.
Kanter appeared on "Mornings with Maria" on Fox Business on Thursday and was asked how he would respond to critics who claim he is doing all this simply for attention. He was not happy about that particular criticism.
"I want to directly talk to America," Kanter began. "Many people think that I do this for attention. I have one message for you: Shame on you. I'm here to protect women. I'm here to support your little daughters and care about the next generation. And I'm here to stand with American values. If anyone thinks that I do this for attention please come say that to my face. Shame on you."
Kanter recently made headlines after he said he would declare himself a woman and enter the WNBA Draft. Then came his public display at the Sky game. The team has since banned him from the arena.

With the returning rally in the price of bitcoin (BTC-USD), comes the return of big calls on bitcoin by the Wall Street bulls.
Bernstein ***** yst Gautum Chhugani thinks bitcoin will notch several important price milestones over the next few years.
"In our base case, we expect bitcoin to reach new all-time high of $150K by mid-2027 and $300K by 2029 end. However, given the macro regime shift, if institutional capital actively chases bitcoin, we could see an accelerated timeline, with bitcoin potentially peaking at $500K in 2029 and rapid recovery to new all-time highs of ~$200K by mid-2027. We maintain our bitcoin price forecast of ~$1 M million by 2033 end across the base and bull case," Chhugani said in a note on Wednesday.
Bitcoin is having a price gusher to close out August.
The price of bitcoin broke through $80,000 early Tuesday for the first time in 15 weeks. In the last 10 days, bitcoin is up 25%.

Crypto has spent years promising that blockchain technology would eventually make financial markets cheaper, faster, and more efficient.
Figure may finally be offering investors a way to test that thesis.
The numbers from the quickly growing financial player have been increasingly difficult to ignore. Marketplace volumes grew 130% year over year. Revenue rose 95%.
And yet, Fundstrat Head of Digital ****** et Strategy Sean Farrell thinks Wall Street may still be valuing Figure more like a traditional lender rather than the blockchain-powered capital-markets marketplace it's trying to become. That could be an opportunity.
Farrell puts Figure at the top of his list of companies "that leverage the blockchain to improve their operating margins and increase growth".

Ex-Prince Andrew seemed to be unhappy with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's return to the UK. According to a source, he thinks that the Sussexes are getting something he never did. It was said that the former Duke of York is reportedly irked over King Charles welcoming his son and daughter-in-law back. For those unversed, Harry and Markle have returned to Britain; however, they are still non-working royals.
Ex-Prince Andrew has reportedly been annoyed by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's return to the UK. A source told the National Examiner that the 66-year-old seemed to be sulking over getting different treatment. He allegedly compared himself being "punished and banished" to the Sussexes getting another chance to mend fences.
For those unversed, King Charles stripped his younger brother of royal **** les for his scandalous past. The controversies around Andrew didn't die down; hence, he was reportedly "banished" to the Sandringham estate. He had to leave his forever home, Royal Lodge, as per the monarch's order.
Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan left the UK and stepped down as working royals in 2020. While building a new life in California, they gave interviews and published memoirs slamming the royal family. However, the Duke of Sussex extended an olive branch to his father last year. After the Sussexes' reunion with Charles in July, the family of four moved to the UK from California on August 26.
This change in relationship dynamics didn't reportedly sit well with Andrew. "[He] doesn't understand how they can be forgiven for saying these terrible things about the family so publicly. And yet here he is, excluded and blocked when he's never once set out to harm the family the way they've done."

True entertainers can charm the pants off even the toughest of critics. Although anyone with good Wi-Fi and a clean iPhone lens can go viral, it takes hard work, genuine talent, a whole lot of perseverance, and, of course, innate magnetism to cut through the algorithm and catch the attention of industry gatekeepers and fickle fans alike. And all 31 honorees selected for our 2026 Breakthrough List have done just that.

Actor-writer-director Eva Victor, for instance, went from posting (respectfully) goofy pandemic-era TikTok sketches to darling of last year's Sundance Film Festival with her debut feature Sorry, Baby; now, she calls Pedro Pascal and Olivia Wilde co-stars. For FLO, "Leak It" has established the British trio as one of music's most sizzling R&B acts, while campy duo Haute & Freddy's synthy whimsy and thoughtful lyricism earned them the stamp of approval from a certified pop icon: Lady Gaga. After cutting his teeth with one supporting role after the next, The Shards standout Igby Rigney proves he has what it takes to be one of TV's leading men. Meanwhile, Mexican actor Diego Calva has one Golden Globe nomination to his name, and we predict another coming his way for his tender performance in Jordan Firstman's already-buzzy Club Kid.

Whether they're topping charts with tomorrow's Grammy-winning earworms, delighting audiences in mega-viral social media series, or breathing new life into beloved franchises like Legally Blonde and Baywatch, these artists will remain at the top of our feeds, queues, and playlists for years. Below, meet this year's breakthroughs.

Calling Jon Hamm, Olivia Wilde, and Amanda Peete co-stars is no small matter, but that's reality for Aimee Carrero, a scene-stealer in Apple TV+'s Emmy-nominated Your Friends and Neighbors. A featured player in dozens of IMDb credits thus far, the Dominican-American actress from Miami has a starring role in the comedy One Attempt Remaining (with Jennifer Garner, Kate McKinnon, John Cena, no less) coming down the pike. As for who Carrero thinks will have a banner year? Inde Navarrette: "I love seeing a young Latina woman out there doing her thing."

What was your first job?
Working in a furniture store—West Elm. A celebrity who will remain unnamed came in and ordered a ton of sh*t. It was gonna be a huge commission for me. I went to ring her up, and the card declined. She says, "I'll be back tomorrow." Never came back.

Who should play you in your biopic?
Olivia Rodrigo. You want someone younger and more beautiful than you to do it.

What's the most underrated movie, TV show, song, or album of all time?
Well, it wasn't underrated at the time, but I do think this new generation needs to get into The X Files. Gillian Anderson was my first celebrity crush. There's a new one coming out—Ryan Coogler's—it's gonna be amazing, I'm sure.

Prince Harry reportedly wants to work on his relationship with Kate Middleton. According to an insider, he seemingly would want to mend fences with his sister-in-law. It was said that Prince William "won't speak to him." Therefore, Harry might try to seek Middleton's help to make amends with his brother.
For those unversed, the Duke of Sussex has returned to the UK with his wife, Meghan Markle. They arrived on August 26 with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Prince Harry would reportedly like to repair his and Kate Middleton's relationship. They used to share a close, comfortable bond. But things turned sour after the Sussexes moved to California. Now, they have returned to the duke's homeland; therefore, Harry might want to make amends with his sister-in-law.
A source told the National Examiner that Harry would approach Middleton even if he had to do it behind his brother's back. He seems to believe that the Princess of Wales can help her mend fences with Prince William. "With everything that is going on, Harry feels he needs to have some sort of dialogue with his brother's camp, and since William won't speak to him, it just makes sense to go to Kate," they said.
Furthermore, the insider suggested that Harry thinks Middleton will need the "most straightforward path" to reach out to the royals. "He hates to put her in the middle, but he says he doesn't feel like he has any other choice because William is continuing to be so stubborn." According to them, the future queen seemed to be "more reasonable" than her husband.

German football icon Lothar Matthäus has criticized new Germany coach Jürgen Klopp for announcing his first squad on a Thursday while players are readying for Europa League and Conference League club action.
Klopp will name the squad for four Nations Leagues matches starting in the Netherlands on September 24 on Thursday, September 17. Matthäus thinks it should be pushed back until the Friday.
"Even if they have already been informed in advance by the national coach, the players could be disturbed in their concentration by constant questions. It does something to a player's psyche if you are asked about it before an important match," Matthäus said in a column for broadcaster Sky.
"I would really ask Jürgen Klopp to make the nominations in future on a Friday morning or at midday."
He added that if a player is injured in a European match on the Thursday, no late call-up would be needed and a new player could be drafted in before the squad was made public.

Luka Doncic recently went viral during the Los Angeles Lakers' roster trip to Slovenia for how fit he looks, but Colin Cowherd isn't impressed and he thinks no one should be.
There have been questions asked about the shape Luka Doncic is in throughout his entire career. Despite being a nearly perennial All-NBA First Team pick, the Slovenian star has at times appeared a tad overweight.
He appeared on the cover of Men's Health magazine last offseason, with the NBA world taking note of his trimmed down physique. This summer, it has gone to another level.

Vince Young once led the Texas Longhorns to a college football national championship. Now, 21 years later, Longhorns starting quarterback Arch Manning is trying to do the same.
As a Texas football legend, Young made a point of connecting with Manning this offseason, hoping to share his experience and offer advice to the 22-year-old.
While it's one thing for Young to reach out to Manning with advice, it's another for the younger quarterback to approach a Longhorns icon like the former Manning Award winner for guidance.
Yet, according to Young, who spoke with DJ Siddiqi of R.org, that's exactly what Manning did. Manning approached Young and fellow Texas legend Colt McCoy for advice on how to build chemistry with his teammates. Young appreciated Manning seeking out his advice, and the two-time Pro Bowl quarterback is clearly in his corner.
For one, Young thinks Manning is going to have a fantastic year.

The situation escalated during the third quarter after Cloud scored and turned toward Kanter. Kanter stood up and stepped toward the court before security intervened and escorted him from Wintrust Arena.

Martha Stewart was accused of playing dirty in her simmering feud with Meghan Markle over lifestyle branding. The domestic lifestyle mogul recently questioned the ****** ss of Sussex's move from actress to royal to homemaking host. One insider claimed Stewart attacks when she feels "threatened." The report framed the clash around As Ever, "With Love, Meghan," and Stewart's long-held place as America's best-known lifestyle queen.
As per a RadarOnline report, Martha Stewart discussed Meghan Markle's royal visit. Stewart said they were both at a dinner party in California. She added that Meghan had "just gotten back from the palace." Stewart said she only exchanged "a couple words" with the ****** ss. However, she claimed, "I know she was talking about it."
Meanwhile, Stewart also questioned Meghan's lifestyle career pivot. The "Martha Stewart Living" founder said it was difficult to move from acting to royalty. She then added it was harder to become "a homemaking guru on a television show." The report connected the comment to Meghan's Netflix series "With Love, Meghan." It also framed the criticism around her wider lifestyle push.
However, an insider claimed Stewart's remarks were calculated. The source said, "No one thinks it's an accident." They added that Stewart made Meghan Markle look bad while getting "a load of attention." According to the source, Martha Stewart disliked "other people coming into the lifestyle ****** e." The insider added, "When she feels at all threatened, she goes on the attack."
Still, the same source said Meghan did not plan a public war. The insider claimed the former "Suits" actress was "fuming" over the comments. Instead, she reportedly wanted to hit Stewart through market competition. The source said Meghan planned to take "some of her market share." They added that Stewart's "nasty comments" proved she was "running scared." For Martha Stewart and Meghan Markle, the report framed the feud as a fight over lifestyle authority, not just one interview jab.

Alibaba fell after it announced a roughly $10.2 billion equity raise to fund more AI investment. The company is issuing 710 million new shares at HK$112.70, an 8.4% discount to the previous close. Shareholders will see their stakes diluted by roughly 3.6%, so the negative reaction was understandable. I bought (BABA) after the fall. What interested me was not simply that the shares were lower. A lower price by itself has never been enough for me. What changed was the combination of the price, the capital raise, and what management did almost immediately afterward.
Chairman Joseph Tsai bought about $10.3 million of stock and CEO Eddie Wu bought roughly $5 million, both at prices very close to where the new shares were issued. These appear to be their first meaningfully reported open-market purchases. That caught my attention. Alibaba has just asked outside shareholders to accept dilution so it can spend more heavily on AI. The two people closest to that decision then used their money to buy the shares created by the market's discomfort with it. Corporate capital allocation tells you what management thinks should happen with the company's money. Insider buying tells you what management is prepared to do with its own. I prefer the second signal.

Former coach Urban Meyer understands Kyle Whittingham's point. He just thinks Michigan's new head coach is approaching the Ohio State rivalry with a little too much common sense.
After Whittingham rejected the idea that he needs to personally hate Ryan Day and Bryce Underwood called Ohio State "just another game," Meyer offered a very different philosophy. For the former Buckeyes coach, hatred does not have to be personal to be useful.
During a recent The Triple Option podcast episode, Meyer said he never personally hated Jim Harbaugh or Brady Hoke, but that distinction disappeared once Michigan became the opponent.
"Do I hate them? Absolutely, I hate them, and that's your job to hate them," Meyer said. "You got to play the game."
Meyer predicted Whittingham may develop more of that edge after his first trip to Columbus as Michigan's head coach. More importantly, he argued that a coach at either program has to understand what the rivalry means to the people around it.

Micron (NASDAQ: MU) stock tumbled 5.5% in the first five minutes of trading Monday after tech news site WCCTech reported the Trump Administration has decided to permit Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) to purchase memory chips from Chinese suppliers ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) and Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp (YMTC).
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Respectively, CXMT is a maker of low-cost DRAM chips, while YMTC manufactures NAND. Micron produces both kinds of memory chips. According to WCCTech, the DRAM and NAND that Apple might source from China would only be used in Apple products sold in China.
As such, this news isn't a global threat to Micron. It is, however, at least a threat to the company's market share in China, and perhaps in other countries to which China might ship Apple products, should those start to filter out.
Not everyone thinks it's time to press the panic **** on. AppLovin's first revenue miss in four quarters triggered a 54% year-to-date collapse despite 52% revenue growth and an 84% adjusted EBITDA margin.

AppLovin (NASDAQ:APP) trades at $305.77, while the average Wall Street ***** yst target sits at $526.39. That gap implies roughly 72% of upside if the Street is right, and one bank thinks the disconnect is far wider.
AppLovin runs an AI-powered mobile advertising platform built around its AXON recommendation engine, which places ads inside mobile games and increasingly in e-commerce and consumer apps. Wall Street focuses on two factors: extraordinary margins (an 84% adjusted EBITDA margin in the latest quarter) and management's belief the auction technology can compound revenue at roughly 30% annually long term.

When offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb thinks back to how Keelon Russell won the Alabama football starting quarterback job, he thought of moments like this one.
Alabama was in the red zone on third down during the team's second fall scrimmage, and the offense faced a zeroed-out look, an all-out blitz. The clock was ticking and Russell had less than 10 seconds to work with. The quarterback fell back on his training. He made checks on protection and made the throw he needed to.
"Everything that you think like, 'Oh, is a young quarterback going to be able to do that?'" Grubb said. "But we have a ton of confidence in him. He's playing confident. He's operating at an incredibly high level right now."
It was the showcase of an athletic ability that set Russell apart in the quarterback battle against Austin Mack. But it was also a showcase of why athleticism was not the only reason why Russell won the job in the first place.
"I told him if that's all they ever say about you, that would be an insult," Grubb said. "And you know he he takes that very seriously that he knows you know playing quarterback and understand process and how to get through reads quicker is what's going to make him a complete player. And, you know, I would never want that stereotype for him that he ends up just being a a runaround guy back there. And he's not."

There have been questions about Kyrie Irving's future with the Dallas Mavericks, and an NBA insider thinks a recent change might suggest it could happen.
Kyrie Irving's time with the Dallas Mavericks has already seen the team make a run to the NBA Finals. That was in the Luka Doncic era, though, and injury has kept the veteran superstar out since.
With Cooper Flagg leading the way following a stellar rookie season, the franchise is going in a different direction. But the timeline isn't the same anymore, with a 15-year age gap between the two stars.
As such, there have been many questions about whether Irving will move on. And NBA insider Marc Stein has pointed to a 'notable' Mavericks departure as a factor to consider.

The legendary billionaire macro trader, Stanley Druckenmiller, has built his career on a simple habit. When he finds a bet he believes in, he sizes it big and watches it closely.
Right now, that bet is a cancer-testing company most people have never heard of: Natera (NTRA), and the reason he keeps buying tells you something useful about where he thinks healthcare is going.
His family office holds more of it than any other stock, and he added to the position last quarter even as the shares traded near record highs.
Druckenmiller runs his money through the Duquesne Family Office, and his stock holdings show up every quarter in a public filing called a 13F.
A 13F is a report that large investors must file with the Securities and Exchange Commission, listing the U.S. stocks they own.

The announcement by Browns coach Todd Monken that Deshaun Watson will be the team's opening day quarterback definitively isn't about business in the near term because the fans are certainly being ignored in the here and now.
It would be easy to ****** ume the team would want to make a decision regarding the quarterback position that would at least serve as an impetus to jumpstart ticket reservations for the team's new palace in Brook Park.
As a colleague so astutely pointed out in a column, the team doesn't seem to care what the fanbase thinks.
Logically speaking, there's little reason to start Watson over Shedeur Sanders given the former's failure on the field – much of it due to injury – but even when he was healthy, he wasn't exactly electrifying as his 9-10 record as a starter attests.
According to most eyes in Berea, he has been decidedly "meh" in training camp. He played decently against the preseason opener against the Chicago Bears, but was a train wreck in his appearance with the backups against the Buffalo Bills. That ineptitude led to fans booing him.

KYIV, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Ukraine thinks Russia is planning to draft an additional 300,000 troops for its war effort after Russian parliamentary elections in mid-September, Ukrainian President Volodymyr ‌Zelenskiy said.
Moscow's forces are pressing ahead with an effort to capture the rest of eastern Ukraine's industrialised Donbas ‌region, where its troops have ground forward at what Kyiv says is a great cost.
In comments to reporters released on Sunday, Zelenskiy said Russia could draft more troops in 2027 to reach an overall goal of 500,000, part of what he described as a "peripheral mobilisation" targeting Russia's far-flung regions.
"We believe it will not take place in the central cities," he said. "But I don't think they will be able to hide it very well."

Seahawks rookie receiver Emmanuel Henderson was a sixth-round pick, which means he has to compete just to make the roster. But head coach Mike Macdonald wants Henderson thinking about a lot more than just making the roster.
Macdonald said after Sunday night's preseason game, in which Henderson caught one pass, returned to kickoffs, and was a gunner on punts, that he wants Henderson to fulfill his potential, which should mean a lot more than just making a team.
Asked whether special teams is the reason Henderson is in Seattle, Macdonald answered, "It's one of the reasons, for sure, but why stop there?"
"That's the stuff that really popped, and gets you excited from his college tape, the return game," Macdonald said. "He should be trying to be an All-Pro returner, too. He should be thinking of being a great receiver in our league as well."
Henderson spent three years at Alabama but didn't get on the field much before transferring to Kansas last year. In his one year at Kansas, Henderson was chosen by the Big 12 coaches as a first-team All-Big 12 returner and a third-team All-Big 12 receiver. Macdonald thinks Henderson has just scratched the surface of what he can do.

According to one report which emerged on Sunday morning, Liverpool may be at risk of missing out on Bradley Barcola to a direct Premier League rival in the final few days of the summer transfer window.
The Paris Saint-Germain winger has been the Reds' main target over the past couple of months and has already agreed personal terms on a prospective move to Anfield, although the two clubs have yet to agree a fee for the 23-year-old.
French reporter Fabrice Hawkins claimed last week that 'everyone involved' in the proposed transaction 'thinks there will be an agreement' which'd pave the way for the forward to become an LFC player, although one source has now warned of a threat from within the English top flight.
As reported by CaughtOffside this morning, **** nal could re-enter the race for Barcola amid an impasse between Liverpool and PSG over a price for the winger, with the Reds viewing his maximum worth at £120m but the European champions demanding £130m up front plus a potential £15m in add-ons.
The Gunners are reportedly being kept informed of developments regarding the France international, who it's claimed could be 'tempted' by a move to north London despite already signalling his approval of a switch to Merseyside.

Deshaun Watson called the Cleveland Browns fans' reaction "disrespectful" after being booed during Cleveland's 31-7 NFL preseason loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Watson entered after halftime and struggled, completing 5-of-12 passes for 36 yards and one interception. It was his first game at Huntington Bank Field since he tore his Achilles in October 2024 and re-ruptured the same Achilles tendon in January 2025.

Watson thinks that the boos went beyond his performance against Buffalo. "I think the whole world knows it has nothing to do about the performance," Watson said. "It's a little bit more personal than that. So, I think it's a disrespectful thing."
He also recalled the reaction when he suffered his Achilles injury.
