Sunday's 18-16 home loss to the Cardinals dropped the Rams to 2-4 and continued a start that has many people scratching their heads given how high the hopes were for the team heading into the season.
Everyone ******* ociated with the team is fielding questions about why things have gone so poorly, including running back Kyren Williams. Williams was asked about why he thinks the offense has been inconsistent from drive to drive over the first six weeks and he pointed to his role in his answer.
"I can't tell you, bro," Williams said, via Adam Grosbard of the Orange County Register. "Probably because I'm not out there."
Williams played 70 percent of the snaps in the first five games and he outsnapped Blake Corum 42-16 on Sunday while fielding 13 touches to 11 for Corum. Williams' workload is in line with last season, but down from its peak in 2024 and he's seeing fewer carries than at any point since he became a starter. He was asked if he'd like to see that change in the coming weeks.
"I can't really call that. It's not on me," Williams said. "But I just think no matter what, we gotta continue to have the energy. You gotta continue to, when plays are made, be excited, be happy so we uplift not only the offense but the defense and the special teams and just being able to have that camaraderie to where we're playing off of each other and I think that's what is going to allow us to be where we want to be."

On a night when Dak Prescott threw two interceptions, Schottenheimer pointed the finger at turnovers.
"The effort is right, the fight is right, but mistakes are killing us," Schottenheimer said. "We've got to protect the football."
At 2-4, the Cowboys are not a good team right now, but there are no good teams in the NFC East and the Cowboys are actually the betting favorites to win the division. Schottenheimer thinks there's still a future for his team.

There once was a time when people took the time to learn, gain experience, and work in a specific field so they're equipped to handle certain industries. A newly surfaced text message attributed to Kimberly Guilfoyle appears to reveal what she really thinks of Bettina Trump. Guilfoyle and Donald Trump Jr. ended their engagement in 2024. Bettina, 39, is now his wife.
"I was having a [expletive] great time Saturday and we had a [expletive] amazing time when we got home Saturday night that's a nonsense," Guilfoyle allegedly texted Eric Deters, a former Kentucky congressional candidate, according to a Thursday, October 8 report in The Daily Beast. "That's his ex-wife's friend. It's all lies, but she's a cloud chasing horror that plays the story in the daily mail to get attention."
Deters confirmed to the outlet that the message was about Bettina.
The Daily Beast cautioned that the texts may contain typos. "Cloud chasing" could mean "clout chasing," and "plays the story" could mean "placed the story." The outlet also noted that "his ex-wife's friend" may refer to Vanessa Trump, Don Jr.'s former wife.
The message does not say which Daily Mail story Guilfoyle, 57, meant. But the publication reported on September 15, 2024, that Don Jr., 48, had been seen kissing Bettina at a brunch on August 17 of that same year. While most, 78%, expect rates to stay the same at the Oct. 28 Fed meeting, an overwhelming majority of traders anticipate a rate hike when the FOMC meets on Dec. 9. Specifically, 67% expect a 25-basis-point increase, and 17% say rates will be 50 basis points higher by then.

Roughly 11 minutes into the conversation, Newton star asks the 30-year-old "All-American" star what he thinks about non-American actors getting American parts in television and film. The actor says there is a perception that Americans are lazy, later lumping Black Americans into the conversation when discussing why non-American Black actors may be cast in Black American roles.

The 34-year-old model, who became the first plus-size model to win Model of the Year at the Fashion Awards in 2023, made an appearance on Vogue's The Run-Through podcast and suggested the rise of Ozempic can be correlated to the rise of "conservative" and "anti-woke" rhetoric. "I think the Ozempic era that we're talking about is harmful because it kind of takes away the agency to live in the way that I would hope people and women and young girls and young people can think about their bodies in this world," she shared. On September 18, Prudential Financial (NYSE:PRU) announced it will sell every share it holds in Alexforbes, a company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Two buyers are splitting the stake. Alexforbes will repurchase roughly 372.8 million shares itself, and ARC AF Holdings will take about 74.1 million more. The package is worth about $185 million, a small number for a company managing $1.642 trillion. But the message matters more than the money. A plan Prudential laid out in August is now turning into signed agreements.
The logic is easy to follow. Prudential wants to operate in fewer places and put its money, people and attention where it thinks it can win for years. Andy Sullivan, the chief executive, says the aim is to lean harder on ***** et management, retirement and protection, and get those units working together more closely. David Legher, who leads emerging markets, called Alexforbes a successful investment, so this reads as a planned exit rather than a retreat from a problem.
The core business is giving management room to be choosy. On August 4, Prudential reported second-quarter net income of $985 million, up from $533 million a year earlier. That happened even though a charge from the yearly ***** umption update grew to $299 million from $134 million, so the underlying engine ran strong enough to absorb a bigger hit. The company also returned $743 million to shareholders in the quarter and held $4.2 billion in highly liquid ***** ets at the parent level. That does not look like a seller in a hurry.
Start with what has not happened yet. The deals are expected to close in the first half of 2027, and they still need Alexforbes shareholders to approve the buyback, along with regulatory sign-off. Until then, $185 million is an agreed price, not cash in the bank. Prudential also said New Veld's involvement continues before completion, so the company stays tied to the ***** et for now.
Then there is the size. Set against those trillions in ***** ets, this sale will not move results either way. Its value is strategic, and strategy takes years to judge. Prudential is giving up a foothold in a partnership it called important, and its remaining businesses have their own snags. TJX Companies is confident in navigating weather-related events such as El Niño due to its warehouse distribution model, CEO Ernie Herrman said in a Q2 earnings call on Aug. 19.
Herrman said since the company keeps its liquidity and shipping out of its warehouses, it has better control than traditional retailers. Inventory doesn't need to go straight to the stores if the off-price retailer thinks there's going to be an unusual weather pattern in a certain region, he added.
"[T]his is a benefit of our model where we stage goods in our warehouses versus goods at most brick-and-mortar retailers come into the warehouse and have to go out," Herrman told **** ysts. He added that the company's "planning organization is really good at reacting to any wild swings in weather or natural disasters or any of those red flags."

TJX Companies is confident in navigating weather-related events such as El Niño due to its warehouse distribution model, CEO Ernie Herrman said in a Q2 earnings call on Aug. 19.
Herrman said since the company keeps its liquidity and shipping out of its warehouses, it has better control than traditional retailers. Inventory doesn't need to go straight to the stores if the off-price retailer thinks there's going to be an unusual weather pattern in a certain region, he added.
"[T]his is a benefit of our model where we stage goods in our warehouses versus goods at most brick-and-mortar retailers come into the warehouse and have to go out," Herrman told **** ysts. He added that the company's "planning organization is really good at reacting to any wild swings in weather or natural disasters or any of those red flags."

Most crypto wallets have functioned as a home for buying and selling speculative tokens. Caroline D. Pham, CEO of MoonPay Institutional and former acting chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), thinks they are about to do something far more important for most investors.
"I do think that wallets are going to become the future, where you're going to have almost everything in your wallet," Pham said. "It's going to be your checking account, your savings account, your stablecoin wallet, your tokenized fund wallet. It's going to be your brokerage account."

The first step came Sept. 17, when WisdomTree and MoonPay announced a collaboration to expand U.S. access to WTGXX, the WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund, which holds short-term Treasuries.
WisdomTree said it is building an access point for its tokenized funds on MoonPay's technology, which reaches more than 35 million users. MoonPay also plans to use the fund in its stablecoin reserves.

Wall Street spent years debating whether crypto deserved a place inside the financial system.
Franklin Templeton increasingly thinks that debate has it backwards. The more important question may be how much of the existing financial system eventually starts behaving like crypto.
For Chris Perkins, head of Franklin Crypto, the shift is already underway.
"Every institution is integrating blockchain technology in one way, shape or form," Perkins told Coinage. "Market structure is changing overnight. We will be in an era of 24-seven markets. If you're not 24-seven capable, you'll be left behind and someone else is going to eat your lunch."
That is a notably aggressive prediction coming from Franklin Templeton, one of the world's largest traditional ***** et managers. But Franklin has increasingly been putting money behind that conviction, too.
