Meghan Markle reportedly despises the feeling of "begging for acceptance" from the royal family. The report comes amid the speculation surrounding the ***** ss of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry's relationship with the senior members of the institution, following their return to Britain. Now, according to a new report, a source claimed that Markle has been perceiving that Kate Middleton and Prince William have control over the public conversation. And, it has reportedly been getting quite frustrating for her.
The alleged feeling of inferiority with respect to the royal family has reportedly not been sitting well with Meghan Markle. As reported by Heatworld, a source revealed that Kate Middleton has been "hoping the brothers can somehow work it out. She'll always have a soft spot for Harry and would love him back in the fold." This comes despite the Waleses' dignified silence regarding the Sussexes since their return to the UK.
However, according to the source, the Princess of Wales is aware that she has to handle the situation "tactfully" with her husband, Prince William. Per the source, however, she refuses to give up the hope that the two allegedly estranged brothers can reconcile one day.
Per the news outlet, the insider further claimed that Markle "can't stand the feeling that the royal family has the upper hand – and hates the idea of being portrayed as desperately trying to claw their way back in, only to be repeatedly rejected." According to the insider, "It's like they're begging for acceptance from people who have no intention of giving it."
Furthermore, the source also explained to the publication what Markle has been feeling about the entire situation and what she might do. According to the source, "There's a defiant side to Meghan." The ***** ss of Sussex will "do what she wants and won't allow the royals to determine or stop her happiness or success," the source added.

The president said the defense secretary is "doing a great job."
President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth would remain on the job, even as he acknowledged that the war with Iran had contributed to Republicans' sweeping midterm losses and as Democrats prepare to use their new congressional majority to potentially investigate the Pentagon chief.
Trump dismissed the possibility of replacing Hegseth, telling reporters he was "doing a great job." When asked about speculation that Hegseth is eyeing Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn's soon-to-be-vacated Tennessee seat, Trump predicted the defense secretary would be "very popular" in the state.
Blackburn, who won Tennessee's gubernatorial race Tuesday, declined to weigh in on who might be picked to fill her Senate seat. Asked about who would be appointed, she said, "It's not a conversation for today."
Trump's remarks come as Republicans grapple with the political fallout from the eight-month war with Iran, which has driven up gas prices and fueled voter frustration over the cost of living. The war and its economic consequences are widely seen as a major factor in Republicans' crushing midterm defeat.

Vin Diesel wanted Judi Dench for The Chronicles of Riddick, so he sent flowers ahead of his visit to her London theater. In Dench's telling, the bouquet made it as far as the stage door. Staff couldn't carry it up the stairs to her dressing room.
Dench was appearing opposite Maggie Smith in David Hare's two-person play The Breath of Life at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. Diesel had flown to London to see them perform. The role he had in mind for Dench was Aereon, an ambassador who can glide through the air, in his 2004 sequel to Pitch Black.
She agreed to do the film without reading the script. In an interview published by The Spokesman-Review when the movie came out, Dench said she was still getting over the fact that he'd come all that way to ask her.
Now 91, Dench revisits the offer in Is It Too Late to Make a Run for It?, published in the U.S. on November 3 by St. Martin's Press. The book grew out of conversations with her friend Brendan O'Hea, who gives her a hard time about how readily she said yes.

Over-concentrating savings in a 401(k) creates a liquidity trap. Every dollar locked away carries a 10% penalty plus taxes if withdrawn early.
A spouse earning $45,000 should choose a Roth IRA over a Traditional 401(k), since low tax brackets make tax deferral nearly worthless today.
A Roth IRA conversion ladder and IRS Section 72(t) payments both allow penalty-free early retirement account access for households that over-saved in tax-deferred accounts.
Saving $1 million for retirement is a genuine milestone worth celebrating. Anyone who reaches that number is officially a millionaire, and the habits that got them there, paying themselves first and resisting lifestyle creep, are habits worth keeping for the long run. Once the celebrations settle, smart savers start asking harder questions. The Redditor highlighted below is doing exactly that: wondering whether continuing to pile money into a 401(k) is still the right move once seven figures are on the scoreboard.
After crossing that threshold, a conversation with a financial planner becomes more than just a good idea. The questions go well beyond monthly budgets. Choosing the right securities, maintaining a sound **** et allocation, and optimizing for taxes are the levers that can turn a first million into a far larger fortune over time.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Vince Staples reiterated that he's not as rich as his level of fame might lead some fans to believe.
Staples recently sat down with Jeff Ihaza for a conversation at New York's Cherry Lane Theatre earlier this month, and during the chat, he was asked about getting better as a live performer. He was then asked if he enjoys performing live, and he replied, "Yeah, why not?"
Ihaza highlighted that being onstage and seeing fans in the crowd is "a huge point" for some artists, and he said, "Probably, I mean, I don't know what to tell you, bro. … It's like, my job. I don't really know what to say."
He said that he understands the "escapism" of being a fan, but in the end, "It really all come[s] down to money." He added, "Nobody asking people that they don't think have money any of these f**kingquestions. So the question is, 'Hey, I think you're rich, do you like being rich?"

Space Exploration Technologies (NASDAQ: SPCX) has had a rocky start to life as a public company. After reaching an all-time high of $226 within days following its June debut, ******* eX shares have fallen roughly 38%, even as Elon Musk's aerospace and artificial intelligence (AI) company reported impressive financial results.
However, an upcoming event may give investors a new reason to reconsider ******* eX's long-term potential. On Nov. 6, Baron Capital will host its 33rd annual investment conference in New York City, where billionaire mutual fund investor Ron Baron will interview Musk during a fireside chat.
Missed AI's "Act 1"? Act 2 Could Be 16x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn't buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our ******* ysts, we're only at the end of "Act 1"—the R&D phase. "Act 2" is the global rollout. Continue »
The conversation could be interesting because Baron has been one of Musk's most enthusiastic supporters for more than a decade. With ******* eX now publicly traded, the conference provides an opportunity for Musk to discuss the company's vision and progress with an investor who has made billions backing his other businesses. My prediction is this conversation could send ******* eX stock soaring.
Baron's relationship with Musk dates back to Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) initial public offering in 2010. Although Baron did not immediately invest in the electric vehicle (EV) pioneer, he eventually bought into Musk's vision for the company. He later accumulated approximately $400 million worth of Tesla stock between 2014 and 2016.

The biggest market gains don't always go to the investors who buy first. Sometimes they go to the ones who have enough cash left when everyone else is rushing for the exits.
Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban made that case last week on the "Diary of a CEO" podcast, urging investors to be patient as AI-related stocks surge. His advice is to resist the urge to chase every rally, keep some cash available and wait for the market to turn. That's when he believes the real opportunity appears.
"When that happens, that's when the real magic happens and where the real money is made," Cuban said. "The delayed gratification."
Cuban's approach reflects a lesson he ***** ociates with late Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRK) (NYSE:BRK) Vice Chair Charlie Munger. In a conversation about long-term thinking and the temptation of get-rich-quick schemes, he pointed to Munger's belief that meaningful rewards require patience and effort.
"Even Charlie Munger used to say it all the time, right? There's no delayed gratification anymore. Never," Cuban said. "And if you don't realize you have to do the work first, you're not going to get the gratification."

Megan Rapinoe has never been shy about speaking up for transgender athletes, even as the issue has become one of the most heated debates in sports. And in a recent interview, the United States Women's National Team legend made it clear that her stance hasn't changed.
In a recent podcast, Rapinoe pushed back on the idea that trans women threaten fairness in women's sports, arguing that sports have never been fair in the first place and claiming that fairness shouldn't matter more than people's human rights.
The debate over transgender athletes in women's sports has only intensified over the past couple of years, with Republicans making it a central political issue and many states passing laws that ban trans girls and women from competing in girls' and women's sports.
The issue has spilled into the sports world, too. Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham sparked a nationwide conversation this year when she voiced her opposition to trans women competing in women's sports.
Even some Democrats have distanced themselves from the issue. Texas Senate candidate James Talarico, for example, has said that he opposes trans athletes playing in girls' sports "if it endangers safety or fairness."

Alessandro Bastoni remains a potential option for Barcelona as the Catalan club considers reinforcing its central defence, but any attempt to bring the Inter Milan defender to Camp Nou could hinge on a conversation with Hansi Flick.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the 27-year-old Italian is still willing to listen to an approach from Barça despite the disappointment he experienced during last summer's transfer discussions.
Bastoni was previously identified as a priority target by Barcelona's sporting department, with Deco particularly keen to secure his services.
However, the situation changed when Flick decided against making the defender a priority.
Months later, however, Barcelona's interest could return, although the circumstances surrounding a possible transfer have also changed.

Following his historic Ballon d'Or triumph, the conversation around Harry Kane's achievements has reached another level, with the UK Prime Minister's office being asked whether the England captain could receive one of the country's highest honors.
Per The Independent (via iMiaSanMia), a spokesperson responded with the following:
"On your question about a knighthood, I think everyone would agree, Harry Kane has given an enormous amount to English football, and this is a very special moment for him in the country, but as ever, I'm not going to pre-empt the honors process."
While there is no confirmation just yet, the response certainly recognizes the significance of Kane's achievements for English football.
From captaining England to a major international final to becoming one of the most prolific strikers of his generation, Kane has built a remarkable legacy. Now, after reaching the summit of individual football honors, could a knighthood be the next chapter?

I'm a fan of David Samson. The former Marlins executive turned host at Meadowlark Media speaks candidly, and usually supports his positions with solid evidence. He's been gracious with his time to our writers over the years. His prior conversations with Pablo Torre and John Skipper on The Sporting Class always made me think. Whether Marlins and Expos fans like him or his opinions are right more than wrong doesn't change my position.
But earlier this week, David stepped on a landmine. He declared that we don't need baseball on the radio anymore. David said, "We all live by the clock that is kernels of sand through an hourglass. So, radio will go the way of Kodak and Blockbuster. It doesn't mean the voices will go away. The voices will find a different way to get into your brain because you have a different way of engaging with content."
In my opinion, David couldn't be more wrong. The response to those remarks has been huge across social media. Most feel similar to yours truly. I respect David's knowledge of the baseball business. He ran the Miami Marlins for 15 years. He spent a few years with the Expos too. He's been a part of media deals on the team's side pointing out that teams "buy a block of time, and then go out and sell ads." Some clubs do that. But most big brands don't. Let's examine the issue a little deeper.
Reach matters in today's media climate. Nielsen data shows AM/FM radio reaches 87% of U.S. adults every week. Those numbers aren't from 10-15 years ago. They are from the first quarter of 2026. That beat smartphones at 82%, TV-connected devices at 78% and live TV at 71%. Even among adults 18-34, radio reaches 81%.
Is radio's revenue down from its peak? Yes. The industry produced over 21 billion in 2006. BIA projects local radio will earn $12.2 billion in 2026. That's still a lot of money even if it's less than what existed 20 years ago. Still, Samson said there is no money in radio. Twelve billion Benjamin's suggests otherwise.

Jaylen Brown's talk with Daniel Radcliffe offered lessons beyond basketball appeared first on ClutchPoints. Add ClutchPoints as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Jaylen Brown had plenty to say about basketball during his conversation with Daniel Radcliffe. The more interesting question, however, concerned how much power he plans to give everyone who talks about him.
Across discussions about personal recognition, public criticism, and Harry Potter, the Philadelphia 76ers forward returned to a consistent idea: Other people can judge him, but he gets to decide which judgments deserve his attention.
That distinction gave their October 29 podcast appearance substance beyond the unexpected pairing. Brown offered an approach to ambition that leaves room for achievement without making approval the ultimate destination.

A report says that Prince Harry's hopes for reconciliation are in doubt after his latest interview. It coincided with King Charles welcoming the Sultan of Oman for a historic state visit to the UK. The news emerged after the Duke of Sussex revisited family matters and voiced hopes for a reunion during his recent sit-down with Zach Baron.
In a landmark moment, King Charles hosted the Sultan of Oman, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, on Tuesday. It marked the first state visit by an Omani ruler to the UK in 44 years. The talks focused on boosting trade, defence, and Middle East peace efforts. Oman is seen as a key UK ally, and the King's meeting was expected to lead the headlines.
However, the significant diplomatic engagement was overshadowed after Prince Harry chose the same day to release his first tell-all interview since returning to Britain. However, the non-working royal's exclusive conversation drew major public attention and ended up taking center stage instead.
Commenting on the overlap, broadcaster Carole Malone and Daily Express royal editor Emily Ferguson weighed in. They suggested the repeated clashes in timing show Harry is not seeking reconciliation.
Appearing on the Royals Unscripted podcast, Malone said, "Charles will want to placate because he's of an age where he doesn't want to not be speaking to his son again. But I think Wills now is going to be taking the reins on this because what's happening now is that they are going to damage the royal brand… if this happens every time the royals are going to have a big event on."

It was everything the Houston Cougars envisioned when they joined the Big 12.
A ranked matchup, the program's first at TDECU Stadium since 2015. A sellout crowd of 42,544. And most importantly, a statement victory to catapult the Cougars further into the national conversation.
In front of the fourth-largest crowd in TDECU Stadium history, No. 20 Houston outlasted No. 18 Oklahoma State in an offensive shootout, earning its fourth consecutive victory and securing bowl eligibility with a 35-32 win.
"I really felt like we had a homefield advantage," Houston head coach Willie Fritz said. "They were loud and the student section I thought was outstanding. I appreciate everybody coming out and hopefully you saw what UH football is all about and also the experience here."
Houston never trailed after the first quarter, largely thanks to quarterback Conner Weigman. The rising Heisman candidate delivered arguably his finest performance in his five years of college football, bouncing back from an interception on the opening drive to throw for career-highs of 343 yards and five touchdowns. He completed 72.7 percent of attempts while consistently solving every puzzle the Oklahoma State defense threw at him.

Dallas Cowboys WR Ryan Flournoy caught seven passes for 40 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers. He was targeted nine times.
SOURCE: USA TODAY
Why It Matters: Although he's well behind CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, Flournoy has quietly become a bigger part of the passing game than Jake Ferguson. On Sunday night, he finished third on the team in targets, second on the team in receptions, and he had the only receiving touchdown. He's not a reliable fantasy option just yet, but Flournoy has put his name into the WR5 conversation for those in larger leagues.

FaridBasharat (16-0) completed his contract and wasn't offered a newdeal despite going 7-0 in the promotion, prompting debate aboutrecent roster decisions. Javid, whose UFC contract was not renewedin February, rejected CEO DanaWhite's suggestion that difficulties with matchmakers ordeclined fights could explain his brother's departure.

Farid responded on his Instagram Stories.
"A lot of ***** umptions made, but no facts were said," Farid wrote."I definitely wasn't turning down fights."
Javid echoed his brother's response, saying they had not discusseda contract renewal with the promotion.
"I can vouch that no fights were turned down nor were we hard todeal with as a matter of fact we have never had a conversation withregard to renewing the contract," Javid wrote. "We patiently waited3 months and we found out when everyone else found out!"

The Big 12 is suddenly the conference driving college football's playoff race originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Big 12 came out of Saturday's chaos with something more valuable than a few headline wins: a stronger place in the national conversation.
The latest AP Top 25 includes five Big 12 teams, a season high for the conference. BYU leads the group at No. 2, followed by Texas Tech at No. 8, Utah at No. 10, Houston at No. 14 and Arizona at No. 25.
That is a substantial shift in the playoff picture. The Big 12 has not just one team positioned near the top; it has multiple programs ranked inside the top 15 and another holding a place in the poll.
BYU's rise to No. 2 is the most eye-catching part of the conference's week. It is the Cougars' highest ranking since their 1984 national championship season, giving the program a national profile it has not held in decades.

Miami is No. 1 after college football's wildest AP poll shake-up originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
College football's latest AP Top 25 did not just shuffle a few teams. It reset the top of the rankings.
Miami moved to No. 1 for the first time since 2002 after a weekend in which five of the previous top seven teams lost. BYU climbed to No. 2, its highest ranking since the 1984 national championship season, while Ohio State moved to No. 3.
The losses created a rare opening. Georgia, Notre Dame, Indiana, Alabama and Texas all fell, but the poll did not simply push every loser out of the top 10. Notre Dame, Georgia and Indiana remained among the top six, reflecting the strength of their records before Saturday and the quality of some of their opponents.
Taking over the top spot is a major achievement for Miami, but it also changes the conversation around the Hurricanes. They are no longer chasing the teams ahead of them. They are the team every contender will measure itself against.

Phylicia Rashad and Debbie Allen's story reveals how colorism, comparison, and beauty standards can shape Black women's self-image from childhood into adulthood.
For generations of Black communities, actress Phylicia Rashad has been seen as one of the beacons of grace and beauty. However, in a recent conversation on the "IMO Podcast" hosted by Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson, Rashad revealed that she once did not see herself as beautiful in comparison to her sister Debbie Allen.
"I think if there was competition that I felt, I always felt that Debbie was beautiful and that I was not," Rashad shared. "I don't remember what led to the conversation, but I said to Deborah that I had always wanted to be beautiful, like her, and she looked at me, she said, 'But you're the beautiful one, you're the one. I was always trying to be beautiful like you,' and then we broke down and started crying."
"We grew up with that foolishness, that colorism, foolishness that brown paper bag [test] foolishness," Allen interjected. "I remember one time Phylicia loved chocolate milk, and we were drinking chocolate milk, and my uncle said to her, 'Girl, you better drink all the white milk you can.' That was so ugly."
"I think that's why Phylicia felt, but Phylicia looked more like Mama than me. And I always wished that I was pretty like her," Allen added.

Sophia Bush
The dichotomous trap of women needing to achieve absolute, contradictory perfectionism rang loud and clear in America Ferrera's now iconic speech in the 2023 Barbie movie and it certainly continues to resonate with Sophia Bush, who has never shied from speaking about mental health challenges.
"I think there's a lot of reasons we're still having this conversation," says Bush, who currently stars in Hulu psychological thriller Count My Lies and Grey's Anatomy (ABC), and is attached to reprise her role as Brooke Davis in Netflix's One Tree Hill sequel series.
"First and foremost, society only functions at the level it does because of women's unrecognized and unpaid labor. So the world is not exactly motivated to shift things in our favor because people feel like it'll come at a cost," she says. "But now we understand because of the data around those things… that if you could snap your fingers and create pay equity across gender lines—everyone would be doing better if women were doing better."
Bush cites a litany of women's rights that have been or are being rolled back. "They overturned Roe. Christian nationalism is on the rise and they don't think women should vote," she says. She points to the SAVE (Safeguard American Voter Eligibility) Act and the tens of millions of married women in the U.S. the legislation would block from voting.

The line outside St. Patrick's Cathedral, where Daddy lay in state, was a mile long. One hundred thousand mourners passed by his coffin. Family and friends took turns holding vigil. The first time I witnessed that public outpouring of grief was when I accompanied Mum, along with my siblings, to a special service the night before the funeral. Mum's face, swathed in a black veil, was composed, almost serene, as we knelt to pray. The singer Andy Williams, a close friend of Mum and Daddy, sang "Ave Maria" a cappella, his resonant tenor echoing through the cathedral. I was thinking that Mary and all her angels were in the very room with us. Mum, Grandma Rose, and our aunts told us that Daddy was in Heaven and happy to be with Uncle Jack, his eldest brother, Joe, and his sister Kick. I could picture that lovely reunion. I was eight years old, and as a child had such a strong sense of Heaven as a physical place that when I flew in an airplane I chose the window seat so I could try to find Heaven in the clouds. Mum also believed Heaven was real, and she felt the full presence of God when she prayed. Her faith kept her going. It lifted us all through those awful days.

One of Andrew Tate's accusers says he convinced her to move to Romania by telling her she would be able to decide whether she participated in webcam work. According to newly public extradition materials, she says that choice disappeared after she arrived.
The woman alleges that she began working 12-hour shifts while Tate, his brother Tristan Tate and others controlled conversations with paying customers and accepted money for ***** ual acts she says she had never agreed to perform. TMZ reported the specific allegations from court documents filed as Britain seeks to extradite the brothers from the United States.
She says she had set explicit boundaries around what she would and would not do but was pressured into acts outside those limits, including one degrading act involving a bed fixture that allegedly continued for about an hour. The woman described her overall experience as feeling like "sexual slavery." The allegations have not been proven in court.
U.K. investigators allege the brothers used romantic relationships to draw women to Romania before using financial control, intimidation and violence to exploit them through online ***** ual content. The brothers deny wrongdoing and are fighting extradition from federal custody in Miami.
According to the documents described by TMZ, the woman says Tate persuaded her to relocate to Romania in 2017. The woman says she that Tate, Tristan and other people involved in the operation controlled communications with customers.
