"Rocky" franchise star Dolph Lundgren was considering ending his life after a years-long battle with kidney cancer. Then a doctor "saved" his life by discovering a misdiagnosis had led to ineffective treatment.
The Swedish action star, 68, revealed in 2023 that he had been diagnosed with cancer eight years prior and that he'd been given a few years left to live after finding it had metastasized to other parts of his body. However, a review by another doctor's team led to the revelation that his cells showed a mutation commonly found in lung cancer patients.
Now, with his memoir, "Fights Worth Fighting: Finding Strength in Struggle," recently published and a documentary, "Dolph: Unbreakable," due for digital release, he is opening up about the highs and lows he's experienced since his 2015 diagnosis.
In a Us Weekly interview published Oct. 6, "The Expendables" actor explained that obtaining a second opinion "saved my life," adding that "I wouldn't have been sitting here right now" if his oncologist, Dr. Alexandra Drakaki, had not caught his misdiagnosis.
When he switched to a new medication, he felt "relief that it started working quite quickly."

Aubrey O'Day doubts that being in prison will be effective for her former label head, Diddy.
With reports surfacing that the Bad Boy Records founder, real name Sean Combs, will once again have his prison release pushed up, this time to January 2028, O'Day also reacted to allegations that he's living a pampered life behind bars. According to what several former Fort Dix inmates told NBC News, the 56-year-old has paid to be cleaned and cooked for, along with getting massages.
"Thank you, Chloe [Melas] for doing this investigation," the vocalist posted on X in response to the story. "People should understand the difference between rehabilitation and a ****** vacation. The system is broken- this man will come back a worse criminal."

A source has claimed that Prince William does not believe Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's UK stay will "last." The news comes amid renewed focus on the Sussex family's recent return to Britain. The couple is once again making headlines as their ongoing issues over security continue to draw attention.
Prince William has reportedly delivered a harsh ****** sment of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's future in Britain. As speculation grows that the pair are considering a move back to America, the Duke's estranged elder brother has reportedly shared his view on the matter.
According to a source who spoke to Closer, the Prince of Wales doubts that the Sussexes will remain in the UK for much longer. They said, "William doesn't believe they'll even last another six months. He's counting on them giving up and moving back to America as soon as they realise they can't just bulldoze their way into getting everything they want."
They added that the heir to the throne is staying away from the security row. He reportedly believes that Harry would use any intervention of his against him. The Prince is steering clear of it and trusting those in charge to make the right decision.
The insider further noted, "It's very hard for William to watch his father being so soft on them. He truly cannot understand why Charles is giving them so much latitude after everything that's happened."

Prince Harry is wasting no time stepping back into the spotlight since returning to England.
Harry, 41, has unveiled a busy schedule of appearances in Britain and the U.S., according to a People report published Friday, September 11. The news comes just days after King Charles III made clear that Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, remain non-working royals whose charitable activities are carried out privately — a position sources close to the Sussexes have challenged.
"Members of the public know who they are. The idea that they can live a normal, 'private' life is sadly not realistic," an insider said, per the outlet.

Issues arose shortly after Harry and Meghan, 45, returned to Britain with their children Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5. Charles, 77, authorized guidance reaffirming that the couple's decision to step away from royal duties in 2020 remains in effect despite their move back to the U.K.

Ivanka Trump flaunts her surfing skills during a family trip to Costa Rica. President Donald Trump's daughter donned a black wetsuit and white full-sleeved top over it, with her hair tied in neat braids. Her husband, Jared Kushner, and the couple's children, Arabella Rose, Joseph Frederick, and Theodore James, didn't appear to be present.
Ivanka Trump gave a glimpse into her summer holidays by putting her surfing skills to the test in Costa Rica. The 44-year-old shared a lengthy carousel showcasing some wholesome, candid moments from her recent summer break. The photos accompanied the caption: "Summer Snaps."
Although Trump did not share photos of herself surfing in a white wetsuit, Page Six published the photos. The 44-year-old showed off her athletic prowess on a green surfboard, with an instructor reportedly guiding her through the process.
Trump did not wear any makeup, and her skin looked flushed due to the intense water activity. However, she was seen with a dainty bracelet or her hair tie on her wrist and a surf leash on the right ankle. At one point, Trump slipped and fell in the ocean but got back on her feet to surf again. In a few other snaps, she flaunted a candid smile, indicating that she seemingly enjoyed surfing by herself.
The US President's daughter might have enjoyed her surfing outing, but the internet wasn't particularly impressed by it. One fan commented, "I think you mean—'took surfing lessons.'" A second fan quipped, "If you show her dad these pics he might stay awake in meetings!" A third fan joked, "Those pictures look like a poor photoshop job." A fourth fan wrote, "That's not surfing, it's yachting with fins."

Princess Anne turned 76 on Saturday, but her birthday this year seemed to be very understated due to one strict rule she follows, a royal expert has claimed.
Last year, the royal rang in her milestone 75th birthday by redirecting the spotlight to her patronages, hosting an abundance of charities at Buckingham Palace. For her celebrations this year, the Princess Royal stayed under the radar, once again shying away from the limelight.
According to royal expert Roya Nikkhah, Anne has a "no-frills" approach to her birthday celebrations, which hinges on one single digit. "Anne's policy is: 'I will do things for my birthdays that have a zero, but I won't do things for my birthdays that have a five'," the expert said on the Royals with Roya and Kate podcast.

The royal spent her last major birthday, her 70th in 2020, sailing along the west coast of Scotland with her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. Plans for a big family celebration had to be scaled back due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.

The status of the marriage between US President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump is often up for debate. The two make appearances together every once in a while, but they have never really seemed to like each other, and they mostly stick to their own separate engagements. Perhaps that's why the news that Melania won't be present at one particular event isn't all that surprising.
RadarOnline is reporting that the first lady is set to skip the rescheduled White House Correspondents' Dinner, which will take place 3 months after the event was cancelled after a gunman was apprehended. Cole Tomas Allen, the alleged gunman, pleaded not guilty to all charges during a court appearance in May.
