Social Security is the only income that automatically beats inflation, making it the anchor of any retirement plan built on $540,000 in savings.
Delaying Social Security past 64 and bridging expenses with Treasury bills yielding above 4% produces a larger lifetime benefit and a smaller tax bill.
The 4% withdrawal rule applied to $540,000 yields about $21,600 annually, and claiming Social Security early permanently cuts that check by roughly 20%.
Building a portfolio and living off one are two completely different skills, and almost ***** ody teaches the second. This problem is what The Definitive Guide to Retirement Income helps, and it is free today. Read more here. (Sponsor)
A 64-year-old with $540,000 saved and a $2,600 monthly Social Security estimate has two very different kinds of money. One is a government check that rises with prices for life, while the other is a portfolio that has to survive market drops, inflation and possibly 30 years of withdrawals. The income you can count on depends almost entirely on how you connect those two pieces over the next three years.

A typical single retiree needs about $898,000 invested for a comfortable retirement, but $1,000 a month in annuity income can reduce that to about $598,000.
Because part of your savings would be used to buy the annuity, these figures show what must remain invested, not your total savings target.
With $2,000 a month in annuity income, the remaining nest egg ranges from about $44,000 in North Dakota to about $418,000 in New Jersey.
For retirees, an annuity can meaningfully shrink the nest egg needed for a comfortable retirement—but only after you spend down some savings to buy the annuity.
A typical single retiree age 65 or older needs about $898,000 saved to fund a comfortable retirement after accounting for roughly $23,700 a year in Social Security, according to an Investopedia ***** ysis of federal data. Across the 50 states and Washington, D.C., that figure ranges from about $644,000 to nearly $1.02 million.

This is one of the best letters that I have read in my lifetime ("We lived within our means: I earned $30,000 as a pastor and still retired comfortably"). I used to be a mortgage-loan officer; I would get a couple that each made six figures, but would have difficulty qualifying them for a loan amount they wanted because of their consumer-debt load.
Conversely, I would have a blue-collar "Joe Sixpack" that made substantially less but saved and saved and saved, and who got the loan he needed for a house. People in the U.S. need to wake up and not be compulsive: Quit buying things you really don't need. It's that way with the federal government as well, and based on that.
My wife never went back to work after raising our kids. Do I have to share my retirement savings 50/50?
Go ahead and get that poetry degree. Republican law won't prevent people with humanities majors from getting student loans.
We'd better get real quick or we're going to have a financial crisis that makes the Great Recession of 2008 look like a picnic.

The size of your Social Security check changes the nest egg you need more than any differences between states.
Under the 4% rule, each additional $100 a month in benefits cuts the savings a single retiree needs by about $30,000, regardless of state.
A maximum earner who delays to 70 can cover the average comfortable budget on Social Security alone, with essentially nothing saved—but very few qualify for the maximum benefit.
For a single retiree, your monthly Social Security benefit shapes the savings you need more than your address does—there's no second check to fall back on.
But regional costs of living matter, too. An Investopedia ******* ysis of federal cost and benefit data found that the savings a typical single American age 65 or older needs for a comfortable retirement is about $898,000. The least expensive state, North Dakota, runs about $644,000, while the priciest, New Jersey, costs about $1.02 million—a spread of about $375,000.

Oct. 5 (UPI) -- Entourage actress Constance Zimmer is sharing her private battle with breast cancer.
Zimmer, 55, went public with her story Sunday on Instagram in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In her post, Zimmer said she was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), an early form of breast cancer known as Stage 0 breast cancer, in March. She was originally to have a mastectomy but ended undergoing a successful lumpectomy with her doctor, Kristi Funk.
"It did take 3 surgeries - 3 weeks in a row, but she did it, she saved my breast and it looks good too!" Zimmer wrote.
"During all of this I was out on a very public press tour for Love Story, while keeping my diagnosis and treatment private. I then followed my surgeries with radiation, while celebrating my Emmy Nomination," she added, referencing her Emmy nomination for her portrayal of Ann Messina Freeman in Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette.

Constance Zimmer underwent three surgeries for breast cancer earlier this year.
Returning to Instagram to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Sunday, the Entourage actress revealed that she was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), or Stage 0 breast cancer, in March. Detected early, DCIS is when abnormal cells are contained inside the milk ducts and have not spread to surrounding tissue.
"The mental toll that followed was overwhelming on certain days as I began talking to many more doctors then I would've liked (sic)," she recalled. "Feeling like my options were limited and most suggested what was the quickest way to get this mass out ASAP, which was a mastectomy."
But after meeting Dr. Kristi Funk, Zimmer opted for a lumpectomy.
"She was the first doctor to make me feel like what I wanted mattered and that made me weep with joy," the 55-year-old continued. "It did take three surgeries - three weeks in a row, but she did it, she saved my breast and it looks good too!"
And while she was recovering from the operations, Zimmer was on the press tour for the FX show Love Story, in which she played Ann Messina Freeman, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy's mother.

Alex Dougherty has said, "Social media saved me."
He's the oldest of 11 kids and part of one of the most popular families on the internet, known as the Dougherty Dozen by their 7.8 million TikTok followers.
Like many people, his mom, Alicia, joined TikTok during the COVID-19 pandemic. She began posting about their extra-large family in 2020, when Alex was 14.
The appeal is simple: Viewers want to see what raising so many children is like, from the everyday to the extraordinary challenges. Seven of the Dougherty kids are adopted, and six have been diagnosed with fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD). Over time, viewers have gotten to know each kid as they grow up.

Brooke Eby, the beloved activist who documented her battle with ALS for millions of people online, has died. She was 37. Eby's longtime advocacy partner group ALS Network announced the news on Oct. 1.
"Brooke changed the way people see ALS, but she also changed the way people living with ALS find and support one another," said Sheri Strahl, president and CEO of the ALS Network. "She brought humor into incredibly difficult moments, spoke with fearless honesty, and created connection where it was desperately needed. We are heartbroken by her passing and profoundly grateful that we had the privilege of knowing her, working alongside her, and celebrating her. JERUSALEM (AP) — A dentist and other passengers wrestled with a violent copilot. A plumber seized the controls as the plane plunged towards the desert. And the captain, despite being stabbed, managed to open the ***** pit door — helping save all 182 people aboard the Israel-bound flight.
"Hollywood isn't creative enough to come up with stories like this!" said Mike Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel.
Although major questions remained unanswered on Thursday about the attacker and his motive, the story of ordinary passengers saving the FlyDubai flight from disaster has quickly become the stuff of legend.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warmly embraced plumber Yaniv Hayoun shortly after the passengers arrived in Tel Aviv late on Wednesday. He later posted a five-star review of Hayoun's professional services, calling him "a hero who has saved many lives."
"He can help you too — I highly recommend him!" Netanyahu added on X.

Losing your job at age 60 is difficult enough. Losing it when you've saved practically nothing for retirement can turn the next few years into a financial scramble.
Consider George, a single man from Little Rock, Ark., who found himself in that position after losing his job in a company restructuring. At 60, he was still two years away from being eligible to claim Social Security and five years away from Medicare eligibility — with little retirement savings to fall back on.
Jeff Bezos backs a platform that lets anyone invest in rental homes for as little as $100 — 6 ways to build wealth like a landlord without actually being one
A single line on your car insurance policy could be inflating your premium by up to 30% — here's what to change

My husband, 59, and I, 55, are planning to retire over the next few years, and this is one of the biggest unknowns I'm struggling with. My mom had Alzheimer's disease and spent seven years in a really nice memory-care facility in a smaller town. It cost about $7,000 a month. Thankfully, my parents had purchased long-term-care insurance and had paid premiums for about 12 years.
My dad died shortly after being diagnosed with cancer, so his policy was never used. But my mom's policy ended up being worth its weight in gold. It essentially covered all of her care. By the time my mother died, the insurance company had paid out almost $600,000. We only paid about $100 a month for some extras. Needless to say, that experience has made me think.
The 10-year Treasury is having its worst run in over 100 years. Why investors are buying bonds anyway.
'I'm burned out': I'm constantly helping my cousin who is running out of money. Is it too much to expect his sister to help?
I've looked into long-term-care insurance, but the premiums are so incredibly expensive, and I worry about what they'll cost by the time it makes sense for me to seriously consider a policy. We're fortunate financially. After 35 years in the corporate grind, we'll have substantial retirement savings; we've always saved carefully; and we have no debt or mortgage.

Saving for retirement is hard. For starters, humans aren't very good at delaying gratification. And saving is basically choosing not to spend today so you can spend, hopefully even more, in the future. But there's another problem with saving for retirement: it is hard to set a goal. There's one popular retirement rule that can help with that. Here it is.
When you think about money, the gut reaction is to compare yourself to other people. That's understandable, but it can lead you into troubling waters. For example, the average 65 to 74-year-old has a net worth of nearly $1.8 million. So, you could argue that by 67 you should have that much money saved up. But that figure mashes together the very rich with people who aren't as fortunate. The median net worth, with half of all people above and half below, is roughly $410,000, which is a lot lower. Which one is the better target?
Missed AI's "Act 1"? Act 2 Could Be 15x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn't buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our ***** ysts, we're only at the end of "Act 1"—the R&D phase. "Act 2" is the global rollout. Continue »
That doesn't even consider the fact that net worth includes ***** ets like a home, which isn't something you can easily tap for cash. Sure, you could sell your home and move into a small residence, but you still need to live somewhere. And you aren't average or median. You are you, and your earnings and savings numbers are unique.
That's where a simple savings rule comes in, based on your salary. Essentially, you are creating a personalized saving goal for retirement. To cut to the end of the story, the rule is that you should have 10x your salary saved by age 67. But that's just the final step in the process, because the rule provides benchmarks all along the way to keep you on track.

During the September 11 episode of Mad Money, a caller asked whether to buy, sell, or hold shares of The Kraft Heinz Company (NYSE:KHC). Jim Cramer replied:
No, I don't want you to do that… And I'll tell you why. Because it's not that I believe in the greater man theory, but this Steve Cahillane, who's the CEO, he saved Kellogg and made people a ton of money. He's going to do the same thing with Kraft Heinz. Let's give him a chance. Let's give him six months, okay? I think he'd appreciate that if we give him six months. He's been here for a while, and he's a… person [who] really likes to... [take] action. Don't leave it. Please don't leave Kraft Heinz.
The comments build on his June 2 view that he was willing to "take on the risk" of owning Kraft Heinz because of Cahillane's record at Kellogg. At the time, however, Cramer said he had "not all that much faith in Kraft or Heinz after previous management gutted the company."
The Kraft Heinz Company's (NYSE:KHC) second-quarter results show why the turnaround remains unfinished. Net sales fell 1.4% year over year to $6.26 billion, while organic net sales declined 1.3%. Adjusted operating income fell 18.4% to $1 billion, while North American sales declined 2.7%. Management raised its 2026 organic net-sales outlook to a decline of 0.5% to 2%, from the previous range of a 1.5% to 3.5% decline. It also increased incremental investment by $100 million to approximately $700 million in 2026, with the company targeting a return to volume-led, sustainable and profitable growth.
On September 2, Kraft Heinz said it will hold an Investor Day on November 12 to present its long-term strategy for "sustainable volume-led and profitable growth." Cahillane said, "Our brand investments are gaining traction and driving improved performance."

A woman from a low-income family in China crossed over into Hong Kong to get to a concert she had spent months saving up for.
It was a trip that Beijing’s vast surveillance apparatus didn’t miss. Now her family face the prospect of losing their government benefits for splurging on “high-end consumption.”
The incident has sparked massive debate across Chinese social media over whether those receiving benefits are also entitled to small luxuries. It’s also a reminder of the staggering extent of the Chinese government’s surveillance system, one turbocharged by advances in AI and the embrace of digital payments.
The story first surfaced in a post on popular site Red Note in early September by a user who said they were the young woman’s cousin.
The woman, surnamed Huang, had “worked hard doing manual labor and saved up from the subsidies” to pay for the concert ticket and expenses of traveling to Hong Kong, around 235 miles (380 kilometers) from her home in Jiangxi province, the post said.

Amazon Business is now a $60B operation serving 11 million customers worldwide. In this FreightWaves Today interview, Amazon Business exec Daniel Silverfield breaks down what that scale means for procurement, supplier consolidation, same-day grocery delivery and AI-driven savings. The big takeaway: business buyers want fewer suppliers, better visibility and less waste in purchasing. Silverfield explains how Amazon Business is pitching exactly that to everyone from small companies to Fortune 100s.
Amazon Business has hit $60 billion in annualized gross sales and now serves 11 million customers worldwide, with 1.8 million organizations added this year alone — a growth rate that puts it on par with a Fortune 100 company if it were standalone. The platform, which launched roughly a decade ago after Amazon noticed businesses already shopping on amazon.com, is increasingly central to how companies across sectors manage procurement, from office supplies to same-day groceries.
The scale matters to shippers, carriers, and brokers because Amazon Business is driving a fundamental shift in B2B purchasing behavior — consolidating supplier pools, centralizing data, and moving procurement from quarterly reporting cycles to an always-on, AI-powered model. Every order that migrates to the platform is one fewer touchpoint for traditional distributors and one more shipment flowing through Amazon's own logistics network.
Daniel Silverfield, head of value and selection for Amazon Business, said the platform saved customers $880 million on Prime free shipping last year and $1 billion through business-specific discounts. The company added 30% new items year over year and recently launched same-day grocery delivery across 2,300 U.S. cities in the first half of this year, a capability customers had been requesting for some time.
"The big shift that we're seeing is that people are moving to a continuous, always-on, conversational-powered procurement journey where agents may be looking for the best price while they're asleep, maybe negotiating on their behalf while they're asleep, and then surfacing to them the best product to buy," said Silverfield.

At 60, Stephen has $40,000 saved against a $680,000 benchmark, plus $32,000 in debt draining his recovery runway.
Rachel Cruze and George Kamel told Stephen to stop funding his daughter and eliminate debt before rebuilding retirement savings.
Workers aged 60 to 63 can contribute up to $35,750 annually to a 401(k), a catch-up window that Stephen must use before it closes at age 64.
Read More: Learn 7 ways to generate income with a $1,000,000+ portfolio (sponsor)
A 60-year-old caller named Stephen phoned The Ramsey Show from Portland and laid out a balance sheet that would make anyone flinch: $40,000 left in retirement, no liquid savings, a $27,000 loan on a 4Runner worth about what he owes, $5,000 in credit card debt, and an $85,000 salary he took after quitting a more stressful job. He said he had drained the retirement account to put his daughter through school and pay off a $25,000 IRS bill he insists "wasn't mine."

On August 25, Aptiv (NYSE:APTV) said it will support NVIDIA's newly announced Jetson Orin Nano 2 processor, extending a partnership that already covers the more powerful Jetson Thor platform. The move puts Aptiv squarely inside the buildout of "physical AI," the term for machines like drones, robots, and industrial systems that need to sense and react to the real world in real time. For a company still just months removed from spinning off its electrical distribution business, betting on edge robotics is a statement about where it thinks the next decade of growth actually lives.
NVIDIA's Jetson Orin Nano 2 packs 78 TOPS of processing power into an 8GB, 8-core Arm chip that doubles the inference speed of its predecessor while cutting power draw by 40% at equivalent performance. That kind of efficiency gain matters for battery-powered devices like delivery drones and mobile robots, where every watt saved extends run time. Aptiv isn't just supplying compute support; it is layering in its PULSE surround-view camera and radar system for 360-degree sensing, its Gen 8 radar for object detection in tough conditions, and Wind River software to handle the unglamorous but essential work of long-term maintenance and security updates. That full-stack approach is the pitch: instead of stitching together sensors, chips, and software from separate vendors, customers get one partner who can carry a device from prototype to a fleet running in the field.
The timing lines up with what Aptiv reported in its second-quarter results on August 4, 2026. Revenue reached $3.3 billion, up 2%, while adjusted EBITDA climbed to $613 million from $547 million a year earlier, pushing margins to 18.7% from 17.1%. CEO Kevin Clark pointed to double-digit growth in non-automotive revenue, progress moving robotics from partnership talks to actual commercial deployments, and a major drone industry win secured in early July. North America sales rose 10% and Asia Pacific grew 6%, including 5% growth in China, giving the company some geographic momentum to lean on as it chases this new business line.
The quarter wasn't clean underneath the headline numbers. Free cash flow came in at just $12 million in the second quarter, down from $219 million a year earlier, and the first half of 2026 actually posted negative free cash flow of $196 million versus a positive $264 million a year ago. Operating cash flow from continuing operations fell to $82 million for the first half, down sharply from $531 million. Management also flagged automotive demand and customer mix as an incremental headwind, a reminder that Aptiv's legacy business still carries real weight even as it chases robotics and drones. EMEA revenue dropped 8%, and South America fell 4% in the quarter, both drags even as North America and Asia Pacific grew.

Manchester United U18s travelled to the North East on Saturday afternoon to take on Newcastle United U18s.
Heading into the match, Newcastle had won four out of four and were sure to be a tough test for Darren Fletcher's side, who have been in scintillating form.
United were on a three-match winning streak of their own, with a combined score of 11-0.
Both sides felt each other out in the opening stages, with neither team committing forward, leaving little ****** e for openings in attack. United's first chance came through a long-range effort from Jaume Camacho, but George Mair saved comfortably enough.

I want to start by first giving credit the owner of this site, Mike Rutherford. I promise I'm not being a brown noser as I want to give Mike credit for calling exactly how this game would go. All week he said that he imagined this game would get off to an annoying start and it would take at least the first quarter for the team to wake up. I don't like giving flowers to others, but that's exactly how the game went.
The offense sputtered on their first drive, in what really should have been an opening 3-and-out, saved by a questionable roughing the passer penalty. And Villonva had no trouble marching down the field on easy screen and dump passes.
But even after Lincoln Kienholz's back-to-back misses to Jaleel Skinner, Kienholz found him on the next drive for a sensational TD by the big guy. This was, of course, after he had scampered for his second rushing touchdown of the season.
JALEEL SKINNER TO THE 🏠 LouisvilleFB pic.twitter.com/VXrtPgmXWb
But what followed was the most frustrating and disappointing part of the game when Villanova scored 2 plays later on a 65-yard strike by Pat McQuaide. I should mention that McQuaide played a great game as he went 18/31 for 166 yards and a touchdown.

A twist of fate saved Mark Wahlberg's life on September 11, 2001.
Wahlberg, 55, had been booked on American Airlines Flight 11, the plane that was hijacked and crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center, but changed his travel plans before that morning, according to a Daily Mail report published Friday, September 11. Instead of making the trip from Boston to Los Angeles, the By Any Means actor traveled to Toronto after a friend invited him to see his film at the Toronto International Film Festival.
All 92 people aboard Flight 11 were killed after five hijackers took control of the plane and crashed it into the North Tower at 8:46 a.m.
On the 25th anniversary of the attacks, Wahlberg acknowledged the emotions that still surround the day.
"This anniversary is always a gut punch of emotions…words just can't say it all. #neverforget911🇺🇸🗽 #freedomisntfree🇺🇸 ," he wrote on Instagram alongside a video of an American flag.

The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs are debuting all-white uniforms against the Western Ketnucky Hilltoppers. Georgia will wear white pants, white jerseys and white helmets for the first time in school history.
Georgia has worn alternate uniforms four times during the coach Kirby Smart era. The Dawgs are 4-0. Georgia still traditionally wears a white or red jersey along with silver britches and a red helmet.
The Bulldogs wore black jerseys in a 2016 home win (35-21) over Louisiana Lafayette. In Georgia's last road trip to Arkansas, back in 2020 quarterback Stetson Bennett saved the day after a slow start. Georgia wore red pants and slightly altered white uniforms in the 37-10 win.
In 2020, Georgia also wore black jerseys at home in the Bulldogs' 31-24 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs in a game where JT Daniels passed for over 400 yards. Georgia wore the same black jerseys, which have a red Dawg collar, in Georgia's last-second 24-21 Peach Bowl win over Cincinnati.
Of course, Georgia's most memorable alternate jersey game is when the Bulldogs beat Auburn at home in 2007 with black jerseys. Georgia will look to move to 5-0 in alternate uniforms under coach Smart on Saturday, Sept. 12 against Western Kentucky at 12:45 p.m. ET.

A full day came down the final hole Friday in the 20th Solheim Cup.
And, once again, Carlota Ciganda delivered.
Wide off the tee on the par-4 18th and even farther right with her second shot, the 2023 Finca Cortesin hero, saved par from 12 feet to tie her match and keep the overall competition even entering Day 2.
Europe and the U.S. are knotted, 4-4, after the opening two sessions at Bernardus Golf in the Netherlands. In danger of falling behind on home turf, Ciganda added to her Solheim legend in teaming with fellow Spaniard Julia Lopez Rameriz, a cup rookie, to secure an improbable tie against Nelly Korda and Lauren Coughlin.
The sides split the morning foursomes, with the U.S. capturing the first two matches and the Euros claiming the latter two.

Sep. 11—CHAMPAIGN — The fallout from the Michigan-Western Michigan fiasco includes the Big Ten's decision to add more transparency to replay discussions.
That's a change from the earlier, when the Big Ten said it would use expanded network access on replay only for Friday games.
Now, starting Saturday, all replay reviews will be available to the networks airing the games. Duh. The Big Ten could have saved itself all sorts of trouble had replay rules been different at Michigan Stadium last Saturday night before the Wolverines avoided an upset loss, winning 13-12 on a second-chance Hail Mary.
"Ironically, last year I think it was the ACC that did live replay," Illinois coach Bret Bielema said Thursday at the Smith Center. "I know in spring meetings they told us they were going to have a camera in the Big Ten office."
Illinois has two Friday night games scheduled later in the season, so that bit of news was already on Bielema's radar.

The U-20 team secured qualification for the 2nd round of the Copa do Brasil on Thursday afternoon (10) by defeating Cuiabá 4-3 in a penalty shootout in a single-leg match held at CT Rei Pelé! In regular time, the game ended 1-1, with a goal by Contreras!
Rodrigo Cézar, Diego Matos, Guilherme Cruz, and Pepê Fermino converted Santos' penalties, while goalkeeper João Pedro came up with a huge save!
Santos opened the scoring just 4 minutes in after a corner kick taken by Vinícius Fabri. Contreras' first header was saved by the goalkeeper, but he got on the rebound and headed it home to put his team in front.
Still in the first half, the Santos side had more chances to extend the lead, but failed to turn them into goals. In the second half, despite Santos still controlling the match, Cuiabá managed to equalize right at the end, taking the fight for qualification to penalties.
In the next round, Santos FC will face Palmeiras in October, with the date still to be confirmed.

Pumas got their first home win of the Apertura 2026 after beating Leon by a 3-1 score. Pumas played a solid match and were able to recover after giving up the tying goal to get a solid three points and climb into the Liguilla zone with the victory. Leon battled hard but it wasn't enough. They will return home to host Atletico San Luis on Monday while Pumas will have a tough away match on Sunday when they visit Guadalajara to face off against Chivas.
The 1st half started with Pumas coming out with their usual starting 11 and without Cesar Huerta, who was expected to make his return to Pumas but was rule out because of an injury. Off a counter, Jordi Cortizo got off a left footed shot that would go just wide. Ismael Diaz got off a right footed shot from outside the area that went just wide. A left footed shot in the area from Cristian Calderon would go wide. Off a counter, Luciano Herrera would get off a left footed shot from outside the area that would be saved by Leon's goalkeeper, Oscar Garcia. Cristian Calderon had hurt himself when he got off his left footed shot and had to be subbed out because of that injury. Angel Azuaje was subbed in his place. In the middle of the half, an incredible rain storm started to fall which would probably have a big impact in the match. A cross into the area found Diaz, who whiffed on his close range shot and wasted a great opportunity. A great thru pass found Uriel Antuna but the ball was cleared off his feet by Leon's defense. After a cross into the area was bouncing in the area, Antuna would get off a right footed shot that went wide. From outside the area, Ivan Moreno got off a great right footed shot that forced a wonderful save from Pumas' goalkeeper, Keylor Navas. A great cross into the area by Rodrigo Lopez was beautifully headed by Juninho past Garcia to give Pumas the 1-0 lead. It was a deserved goal as Pumas had been the better team after a slow start. A cross into the area was headed from close range by Diaz but Navas made a good save. The halftime whistle blew and after a good first 45 minutes, Pumas took the deserved lead to their dressing room.
The 2nd half started with Leon subbing out Juan Pablo Dominguez for Diber Cambindo. A cross into the area was headed wide by Herrera. A cross into the area would get to a wide open Jose Alvarado, who got off a great half bicycle kick past Navas to score and tie the match at 1-1.
