Sunday's 18-16 home loss to the Cardinals dropped the Rams to 2-4 and continued a start that has many people scratching their heads given how high the hopes were for the team heading into the season.
Everyone ******* ociated with the team is fielding questions about why things have gone so poorly, including running back Kyren Williams. Williams was asked about why he thinks the offense has been inconsistent from drive to drive over the first six weeks and he pointed to his role in his answer.
"I can't tell you, bro," Williams said, via Adam Grosbard of the Orange County Register. "Probably because I'm not out there."
Williams played 70 percent of the snaps in the first five games and he outsnapped Blake Corum 42-16 on Sunday while fielding 13 touches to 11 for Corum. He was asked if he'd like to see that change in the coming weeks.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker has made it a weekly tradition to surpass the already-high expectations of Chiefs Kingdom. If he didn't blow our minds enough by gashing the Denver Broncos for 173 yards on the ground in the season opener, he doubled down against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 4 with 177 yards and a 76-yard run that turned the game in the second half.
Coming out of the bye week, there was reasonable speculation that rookie running back Emmett Johnson would spell Walker to keep the talented lead back fresh. Instead, Walker took the load again, gaining 139 yards from scrimmage on 21 touches.
None of his carries matched the long touchdown run that gave the Chiefs an early 9-0 lead over the Los Angeles Chargers.

This is one of the best letters that I have read in my lifetime ("We lived within our means: I earned $30,000 as a pastor and still retired comfortably"). I used to be a mortgage-loan officer; I would get a couple that each made six figures, but would have difficulty qualifying them for a loan amount they wanted because of their consumer-debt load.

The 66-year-old senior senator from North Carolina unloads on what he calls the "WTF moments" of the second Trump Administration in a new book, "How to Lose Friends and Antagonize Presidents." Having served in the Senate during the Barack Obama, Joe Biden and both Trump presidencies, Tillis said he's increasingly worried about how the nation's system of checks and balances is being tested by the outsized influence of the executive branch.
"We will have a sort of dictator king if we're not careful," he said.
Every recent White House has been eager to govern by executive order, something that's been especially true during the current Trump administration, Tillis said. Presidents, he said, fail to understand that Congress is a coequal branch that should be treated as a peer, and that Congress needs to act as such.

MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, put dozens of strangers through one of his outrageous tests: How long can people stay in a grocery store to win $250,000? One contestant, Juan Garcia, managed to do it and took home far more than he bargained for after spending over 200 days in the store.

The president's approval ratings on the economy hit a new low, according to an AP-NORC poll, as the Iran war and his trade battles have increased U.S. prices for oil and other goods.

On September 15, Digital Realty (NYSE:DLR) made ServiceFabric MCP available, a software layer that lets AI agents design, monitor and troubleshoot network connections across more than 800 data centers, including third-party sites. That nudges a real estate company toward becoming a control panel for enterprise AI. It arrives after second quarter results reported on July 23, when Core FFO per share, the company's preferred earnings yardstick, excluding net promote rose to $2.13 from $1.87 a year earlier. Here is what the launch does, and what it has yet to prove.
The pitch is that enterprise AI needs more than servers. It needs power, cooling, and sovereign placement that software can control. ServiceFabric MCP handles four jobs: designing and provisioning connections, spotting capacity and watching live network health, managing access through OAuth 2, and handing troubleshooting to agents with links into chat and monitoring tools. It is also open by design. Customers do not have to live only in Digital Realty buildings or commit to a single AI model. An IDC research VP argues that public cloud interfaces alone cannot give enterprises enough control over data movement and policy, which favors providers that pair global reach with programmable interconnection. Digital Realty runs the system on its own AI workloads, and See All AI, a medical imaging developer, leans on the Boston campus and ServiceFabric to move large datasets quickly and securely.
The financial engine underneath is running hot. Renewal leases in the second quarter were signed at rates 25.4% higher on a cash basis, which shows customers will pay more to stay put. Signed leases waiting to start added up to a $1.9 billion backlog of annualized base rent at 100% share, so future revenue is already lined up. Management responded by lifting its 2026 Core FFO per share outlook, excluding net promote, to $8.15 to $8.20.
Start with what the launch has not shown yet. Digital Realty itself calls MCP an emerging standard, and ServiceFabric MCP is still being validated across internal, enterprise, and partner deployments. The announcement puts no dollar figure on what it could add to revenue, and the company describes it only as the first programmable surface of a larger architecture that may later stretch into ***** e, power and inventory. Until customers pay for this layer, it is a promising idea more than a line item.
Then there is the bill for the physical side. Digital Realty carried about $18.6 billion of debt at June 30, 2026, and its 2026 development spending outlook, net of partner contributions, now sits at $4.25 billion to $4.75 billion. The outlook also ***** umes new long-term debt priced at 4.5% to 5.5%, up from the earlier 4.0% to 4.5%. To help pay for growth, the company has sold roughly 13.5 million shares this year for about $2.5 billion, which spreads future earnings across more owners. The shipping industry group continues to show why it's one of the best in the current stock market, with boatloads of stocks making new highs. Among them, Scorpio Tankers (STNG) and Matson (MATX) remain in buy zones.
Shares of Monaco-based Scorpio climbed above the 87.39 buy point from an 18-week pattern. The buy zone goes to 91.76. It had already climbed above resistance around 81, a level that could have been treated as an early entry.
After slumping for much of 2024 and 2025, earnings growth surged 157%, 193% and 232% the past three quarters. Sales growth accelerated 26%, 48% and 76%. Scorpio, Tuesday's IBD Stock of the Day, has a 98 IBD Composite Rating.
Matson made new highs the past week but has settled back near its 230.74 buy point from a seven-week base. The buy range goes to 242.28. The company, which mainly serves the Hawaiian islands, has a 98 Composite Rating.
Genco Shipping & Trading (GNK) is at the top of a buy range in choppy trading following a breakout past a 26.80 handle buy point. Genco is the largest U.S.-based shipper of dry-bulk commodities. Iron ore is one of its principal shipments. It made a 52-week high Thursday.

Estes Express Lines is investing nearly $56 million to expand its cross-border and offshore freight network, including terminals, equipment and capacity serving Canada, Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
Alex Peebles, senior director of offshore and international at Estes, said the privately held, family-owned carrier is taking a longer view of the freight market rather than allowing current conditions to dictate its investment strategy.
"We're really looking at all of these investments from a long-term horizon and viewpoint perspective and one that's going to help accommodate growth and capacity into all the offshore international markets that we service," Peebles told FreightWaves.
Estes, which is celebrating its 95th anniversary this year, is North America's largest privately held less-than-truckload (LTL) freight transportation provider. The company operates a network of over 300 terminals and service centers across the U.S., Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii with coverage extending to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean
Peebles said the company's ownership structure gives it flexibility to move quickly when real estate and equipment opportunities arise.
