Manchester City have agreed to sign winger Allan Elias from Palmeiras in a deal worth up to £34.2m.
The 22-year-old Brazilian will come in as a replacement for compatriot Savinho, who looks set to join Tottenham.
City have agreed to pay a fixed fee of £32m, plus £2.2m in add-ons, for Allan with a medical scheduled to take place in the coming days.
They remain in advanced talks to sell Egypt forward Omar Marmoush to Spurs, and sources with knowledge of the situation say there is a "good chance" the deal gets completed before the 1 September transfer deadline.
Discussions are ongoing between the two clubs and there are some details yet to be agreed.

It would seem that Manchester City have settled on signing Allan from Palmeiras to fill void on the right wing in Enzo Maresca's squad. In an exciting final between two top teams from Brazil's youth ranks, Internacional beat Palmeiras 3-1 this Saturday (August 1) to become the champions of the first U-15 Copa do Brasil. The match was played at Granja Comary, in Teresópolis (RJ), and was attended by CBF president Samir Xaud.
Asafe, Kayki, and Gustavo Fahmer scored the goals in the win. Maicon scored for Palmeiras. At an intense pace, both teams fought for every ball with grit and determination. They also stood out for their creativity, dribbling, and plays that showed technique and great skill.
At the start of the first half, Palmeiras took control of the game and opened the scoring in the 12th minute through Maicon, after a run down the right by Gabriel Bueno, who got past his marker. It looked as though Palmeiras' second goal would not take long, such was the team's dominance.
But Inter changed the course of the match. They started moving the ball more quickly and equalized in the 26th minute with a goal by Asafe after a corner kick. Then, in the 38th minute, they completed the comeback with a fine finish from Kaique from outside the box.

Manchester United have expressed an interest in signing Botafogo midfielder Danilo Santos this summer, according to the BBC. Man United want a new midfielder despite bringing both Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to the Old Trafford club. The Red Devils are now keeping tabs on Danilo, with Newcastle United also keen on bringing the former Nottingham Forest star back to the Premier League. The 25-year-old Brazil international made four appearances at the World Cup and Man United could do with his services as manager Michael Carrick eyes a specialist defensive midfielder.
Botafogo prefer to sell Danilo abroad after rejecting an offer of around £23 million, including bonuses from Verdao. The Man United target reportedly has a £17m clause for foreign clubs, which could be a big boost for the Red Devils and other European admirers. He played 50 Premier League games for the City Ground club before returning to Brazil in July 2025. Danilo has been impressing back home, with all his eight caps for Brazil thus far coming this year. His passing, relentlessness and the knack for being absolutely everywhere are some qualities of his which would come in handy at Man United.
The 6ft 2in midfielder is also physical, dynamic and technical, and he has what it takes to replace Casemiro at the Theatre of Dreams. Botafogo have also received offers of about £25m from Palmeiras and Zenit St Petersburg for Danilo, and more suitors could come calling. Fluminense held onto the top spot in the Brasileirão U-17 with a 2-0 win over Atlético-GO on Wednesday (22) at Marcelo Vieira. Ryan Santos and Leonardo secured the victory for the Tricolor das Laranjeiras, who now have 22 points, three ahead of second-placed Corinthians.
The Rio team's strong campaign is down to its defensive performance. Corinthians and Cruzeiro have each let in seven goals, while América-MG and São Paulo have conceded eight. Bahia, meanwhile, has allowed nine.

Flamengo thrashed Santos 4-2 at Luso-Brasileiro and climbed five places, moving from 15th to 10th with 12 points. Luiz Guilherme (2) and João Vitor (2) found the net for the Rubro-Negro side. João Pedro and Miqueias pulled two back for Santos.
