Playing away from home at Nubank Parque in São Paulo (SP), Santos FC ended up being beaten 3-0 by Palmeiras on Wednesday night (26), in the first leg of the 2026 Copa do Brasil quarterfinals. The return derby will take place next Wednesday (02), at 9:30 p.m., at Vila Belmiro.
Before facing the green-and-white side again, however, coach Cuca's men now switch their focus to another derby, this time in the 2026 Brazilian Championship. Next Sunday (30), Peixe visits Corinthians at 4 p.m. at Neo Química Arena, in the 25th round.

The match – Playing away from home, Santos FC started by containing their rivals and looking dangerous on the counterattack, but with few chances for either side. In the 26th minute, Igor Vinícius exchanged passes with Gustavo Henrique and broke into the box alone. With no angle, however, the full-back shot wide.
Palmeiras, in turn, responded in the 33rd minute, when Flaco López tried his luck from very long range and opened the scoring for the home side at Nubank Parque. The Alvinegro Praiano felt the impact of the goal conceded and saw the green-and-white side grow into the derby.
