Chinese financial services firm GF Securities has cautioned that NAND prices will stabilize by the end of the year. For NAND king SanDisk (SNDK), this is particularly relevant as ******* yst Jeff Pu said, "We maintain our high‑teen QoQ NAND price expectation for 3Q26 but expect softening in 4Q26 to low single‑digit QoQ, pressured by weaker mobile demand and elevated mobile/PC inventories. On September 10, 1-800-Flowers.com Inc. (NASDAQ:FLWS) reported fiscal 2026 results that read like a company still finding its footing after a hard year. Full year revenue fell 10.8% to $1.5 billion, and the fourth quarter alone dropped 12.9% to $293.1 million, as consumers stayed selective with discretionary spending on gifts and gourmet food. Buried under those declines, though, is a different story: inventory shrank, free cash flow improved by $55 million, and the company hit a two-year cost savings target a full year early. The question now is whether that discipline can outrun the sales slide.
1-800-Flowers spent fiscal 2026 tearing down the walls between its brands. Instead of separate teams running each brand in silos, the company shifted to functional teams built around marketing, merchandising, and the digital shopping experience, with one team now acting as store manager for every website. That shift already shows up in products: the floral business combined its florist-fulfilled and direct-ship merchandising teams, so the same popular arrangements are available either way, instead of competing against itself on one landing page. Harry & David rolled out a redesigned, mobile-first website with AI-powered search that is currently in A/B testing, and several low-traffic standalone sites were folded into harryanddavid.com to concentrate traffic rather than split it.
The financial discipline behind that reorganization is real. The company reached its $50 million cost savings run rate a full year ahead of schedule and has already lined up another $15 million to $20 million in savings for fiscal 2027, with the full benefit landing in fiscal 2028. That, combined with tighter working capital management, pushed free cash flow up $55 million year over year and cut inventory to $153 million from $177 million. Average order value rose 5.5%, third-party marketplace sales through Amazon, Walmart, and DoorDash are growing at double-to-triple-digit rates and are already contribution margin positive, and BloomNet grew 1.9% on the back of local delivery partnerships with apps like DoorDash and Instacart.
The rest of the story is bleaker. A man who stabbed his housemate to death over a £10 phone debt has been jailed for life.
Mark Jesse, 51, attacked Charlie Belsham at their address on Castle Road in Chatham on 1 November 2025, after Jesse became angered about a row between his victim and Ashley Robinson - a visitor to the property - regarding the sale of a mobile.
Kent Police said Jesse later went to Belsham's room, then reportedly emerged saying: "I've stabbed him in the ribs."
Having previously been found guilty of murder, Jesse was jailed for a minimum of 20 years at Maidstone Crown Court on Friday for "unjustifiable and rash" actions which "tragically cut short someone's life over a simple argument", according to police.

Roberto Mancini was in the stands at the Stade Jean-Bouin to monitor the progress of two potential Italy internationals as Paris FC hosted Lyon.
According to L'Équipe, the Italy boss travelled to the French capital specifically to watch defender Diego Coppola and forward Luca Koleosho, both of whom started for the hosts. The pair have been capped twice each at senior level for the Azzurri.

Paris FC now carry a distinctly Italian flavour after Coppola arrived permanently from Brighton this summer, while Koleosho completed his own switch from Burnley, having spent the second half of last season on loan at the club. Ciro Immobile was also on the books up until his retirement in the summer.
Koleosho, born in Norwalk, Connecticut, to a Nigerian father and an Italian-Canadian mother, is eligible for the United States, Canada and Nigeria but has committed to Italy, whom he first represented at senior level in June.

Here is every transaction for the Los Angeles Dodgers for the entire 2026 season, starting with the first day of spring training through the end of the team's postseason run.

Garcia (25-2, 20 KOs) captured the WBC welterweight ******* le with a dominant unanimous decision win over Mario Barrios this past February in Las Vegas. He has two defeats: a 2025 decision loss to Rolando "Rolly" Romero for the WBA welterweight ******* le and a seventh-round TKO at the hands of Gervonta "Tank" Davis in 2023.
Benn (25-1, 14 KOs) narrowly fell short against Chris Eubank Jr. in a Fight of the Year in April 2025. He avenged that defeat last November, knocking down Eubank twice in Round 12 to seal a masterclass performance.
Benn shocked the boxing world this past February by announcing a defection from Eddie Hearn's Matchroom to Dana White's Zuffa Boxing. Benn outpointed Regis Prograis in his Zuffa debut in April.
