Meghan Markle reportedly despises the feeling of "begging for acceptance" from the royal family. The report comes amid the speculation surrounding the ***** ss of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry's relationship with the senior members of the institution, following their return to Britain. Now, according to a new report, a source claimed that Markle has been perceiving that Kate Middleton and Prince William have control over the public conversation. And, it has reportedly been getting quite frustrating for her.
The alleged feeling of inferiority with respect to the royal family has reportedly not been sitting well with Meghan Markle. As reported by Heatworld, a source revealed that Kate Middleton has been "hoping the brothers can somehow work it out. She'll always have a soft spot for Harry and would love him back in the fold." This comes despite the Waleses' dignified silence regarding the Sussexes since their return to the UK.
However, according to the source, the Princess of Wales is aware that she has to handle the situation "tactfully" with her husband, Prince William. Per the source, however, she refuses to give up the hope that the two allegedly estranged brothers can reconcile one day.
Per the news outlet, the insider further claimed that Markle "can't stand the feeling that the royal family has the upper hand – and hates the idea of being portrayed as desperately trying to claw their way back in, only to be repeatedly rejected." According to the insider, "It's like they're begging for acceptance from people who have no intention of giving it."
Furthermore, the source also explained to the publication what Markle has been feeling about the entire situation and what she might do. According to the source, "There's a defiant side to Meghan." The ***** ss of Sussex will "do what she wants and won't allow the royals to determine or stop her happiness or success," the source added.

Former Los Angeles TV news anchor Harold Greene has died, according to a social media post by his daughter, Courtney Greene. He was 82.
"Our beloved husband, father, uncle and friend has signed off for the last time," she wrote in a Facebook post. "It is with heavy hearts that we share the news that Harold passed away last night. My mom and I were by his side, and there was an extraordinary amount of love in the room. We have a feeling he's already settling into the great newsroom in the sky, no doubt with a few suggestions on how things should be run. He was so very loved, and we know he will be missed by many."

Feeling wealthy in retirement is often just that — a feeling. Having an active social life, a solid purpose and enough cash in the bank to never worry about monthly bills might be all you need to describe yourself as a "rich" retiree.
Feelings aside, what do the cold, hard numbers show? Most Americans agree you need at least $2.2 million (1) to be considered wealthy in America. But they might be surprised to see that you actually need considerably more than that to land in the top 10% of U.S. retirees.

Myles Graham has seen Florida's defense flash its potential throughout the season. The challenge now is making that version of the unit show up consistently.
The Gators took an encouraging step at Texas, overcoming a rough opening two drives before settling in and playing some of their best defense of the season. Graham said the unit gained confidence by playing aggressively, especially when Brad White dialed up the pressure, but still has plenty to clean up ahead of a physical matchup with Georgia.
There's no hiding what this week means to Graham. Florida hasn't beaten Georgia since he arrived in Gainesville, and as one of the veterans responsible for explaining the rivalry to younger players, Graham made his feelings clear: enough is enough.
Here's everything Graham had to say ahead of Florida's matchup with Georgia.
I've seen him grow since day one. The talent has always been there. It was just more of him knowing where to be, where to fit. I've just seen him skyrocket from the first day he got here.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson acknowledged he "never wanted to go" to the hospital after being injured during his team's Week 8 "Thursday Night Football" win over the Carolina Panthers.
Watson noted that having to leave the stadium via ambulance was difficult during a postgame interview with Amazon Prime Video's sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung.
"It was tough. Honestly, I never wanted to go," Watson said. "I was hoping that they would let me off. I said I was kinda feeling better once I kinda caught my breath. But I mean they said there was a couple of signs that made them have to take me over there."
"It is what it is," he added. "I was just praying that it was good enough to where I could come back out here. Obviously, thankfully it was and I was able to get back out."
Watson was originally injured after catching a 53-yard deep pass from Jordan Love in the second quarter of the game. He landed hard on the ball as he came to the ground and remained down, rolling onto his back before being tended to by Green Bay's training staff.

Sean Brady won't be competing in the main event of UFC Fight Night 293 due to a gnarly knee injury that forced him to stay in the hospital for multiple days.
Brady (19-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) was set to face Gabriel Bonfim in the Nov. 7 headliner at the Meta APEX in Las Vegas, but was forced out due to an infection and fluid buildup in his knee. The welterweight contender hopes to keep the matchup with Bonfim (20-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) together, but isn't certain what will happen just yet.
Brady detailed the reasons for the fight's cancellation on "The BradyBags Show".
"So last week, Tuesday, I practiced in the morning," Brady explained. "Everything was going completely fine. By nighttime, I was going to do my next workout. I jumped on my bike. My knee was a little bit swollen afterwards. By 9 o'clock at night, I couldn't walk. So, that's Tuesday. Wednesday morning, I already knew because I've been in this situation before, like I've dealt with bursitis and sh*t, and I knew this wasn't bursitis – I knew it was an infection.
"So, I knew right away from dealing with my arm and my leg, the feeling that you get, it's just different. It's just a different pain. Like, I could barely walk. So, Wednesday morning, 6 a.m., first thing I do, I got to the hospital, and they start drawing blood, doing everything. They put me on IV antibiotics."

Boxing's biggest star, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, will look to become a two-time super middleweight champion when he challenges Christian Mbilli for the WBC ****** le on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
It has been over a year since Alvarez lost his undisputed crown courtesy of a tremendous performance from Terence Crawford — and that means it has been a year since Alvarez last held a world ****** le.
For a fighter who was champion for seven straight years — from 2018-25 — not having a world ****** le is an unnatural feeling for the Mexican, but it has been Alvarez's reality since being outclassed by Crawford more than 13 months ago.
Hours before Crawford's win over Canelo, Lester Martinez held Mbilli to a draw on the undercard. Mbilli, the WBC interim champion, was upgraded to full champion shortly after and has now landed the golden ticket as it were — an opportunity to upset the sport's commercial king.
Canelo Alvarez wants to prove he has plenty left.

McALLEN, Texas (AP) — The Ford Expedition rumbled to a stop and Cindy Banda's bedazzled flip-flops landed on the asphalt of the Houston cancer center's vast parking lot. She threaded through the rows of cars, a tally of patients who gather here to sit with chemotherapy needles or lie on radiation machines.
The elevator dinged open. A year ago in this building, surgeons removed Banda's right breast, and she still didn't know whether treatment had expunged the cancer from her body. Doctors had told her it would be tough to beat.
"I'm more of a positive person myself," Banda said, now sitting with a white wristband in a dim waiting room. But the bills are harder to dismiss, and the single mother with six children in her care repeated something like a mantra. "Keep the house. Keep the cars. And just keep the kids stable."
That's true for many Americans, as rising healthcare costs leave more families with a sinking feeling after seeing the bill for surgery or medication. Heading into the Nov. 3 midterm elections, about half of registered voters said healthcare costs are a major problem for them and their families, up from a little more than one-third four years ago, according to a Fox News poll from September.
With party control of Congress at stake, registered voters are nearly twice as likely to say they trust Democrats over Republicans to handle healthcare, according to an ******* ociated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research poll from the same month. Those frustrations, combined with broader concerns over rising prices, have sapped support for President Donald Trump and his Republican Party.

A source claims that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's visit to Nottingham did not please one royal. The news comes at a time when the Sussexes' relationship with the Firm remains notably strained. That said, the Duke recently discussed his desire to reconcile with his brother, Prince William, and his father, King Charles, in an interview with GQ.
Sources are suggesting that Princess Catherine is apparently "seething" over Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's appearance in Nottingham. The outing marked a return to the kind of public engagements typically ****** ociated with royal duties.
As per RadarOnline.com, an insider said, "Catherine's frustration had intensified into her being consumed by fury following the Sussexes' Nottingham engagement, which revived painful memories of the couple's public criticism of the royal family."
They claimed that Catherine had long steered clear of confrontations with Harry and Meghan to respect William's feelings, but she is now becoming less willing to keep her thoughts to herself. The source added, "She is said to be absolutely seething behind closed doors over Harry and Meghan's latest appearances, and the scenes in Nottingham have brought years of frustration bubbling back to the surface."
The source further explained that, from Kate Middleton's perspective, it is deeply upsetting to watch the Sussexes return to Britain and receive considerable attention. The Princess of Wales is reportedly particularly aggrieved to see the pair greeting crowds and visiting local charities. They added that the non-working royals are now doing engagements almost identical to the royal duties they left behind.

The story for the 49ers entering the season was injuries, right down to head coach Kyle Shanahan. The story since the start of the season has been success.
While injuries certainly have been a factor for the 'Niners, from Nick Bosa to De'Zhaun Stribling and Deebo Samuel, Shanahan's group has found a way to thrive in spite of them. After the 49ers won in Seattle in Week 5, the NFC West could just be a race for second behind San Francisco.
On the other side of the country, the Commanders have managed just one win in five games. That doesn't mean they have four losses, though. Washington settled for a tie in Week 5, after a disastrous final sequence that largely remains unexplained. Coach Dan Quinn said after the game that it felt like a loss, and it's hard to argue with that.
Going on the road and handing the 49ers their first loss would unquestionably be a win, though. The upset-minded Commanders are hoping to channel last weekend's frustration and leave the west coast feeling like they can compete in a wide-open NFC East race.

Elina Svitolina has announced the end of her five-year marriage to fellow tennis star Gaël Monfils, attributing the decision to the emotional and mental impact of Russia's war in her native Ukraine.
Svitolina, 32, said in a statement posted on both players' Instagram profiles on Monday that she had endured sleepless nights, doubts and a feeling of losing herself, even with Monfils' support, before coming to the conclusion that she could not rediscover herself within their marriage.
"Gaël saw all of it," she wrote. "He never let go of my hand. We fought through this together for a long time, with everything we had. But some battles happen deep inside you, and no amount of love from someone else can win them for you.
"With time, I came to understand that I need to find my way back to myself and that I cannot do that within our marriage."
Svitolina's announcement comes a year after she ended her 2025 season early, saying she was not in the right emotional state to compete following Ukraine's Billie Jean King Cup semifinal defeat by Italy. Since Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, Svitolina has spoken repeatedly about fearing for family and friends at home while competing overseas.

Patrick Mahomes has admitted he is still missing some of his explosiveness following his serious knee injury, despite helping the Kansas City Chiefs maintain their unbeaten start to the NFL season.
The Chiefs defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 22-6 to move to 5-0, with Mahomes throwing for 272 yards. The quarterback has looked impressive since returning from a torn ACL and LCL in his left knee, but he knows there is still work to do.
Mahomes suffered the injury in December and recovered in time to start the new season. However, his latest comments suggest he has not yet returned to full physical sharpness.
Speaking to reporters after the victory over the Chargers, Mahomes explained that his knee had been feeling better following the team's bye week, although he is still working to regain his previous level of explosiveness.
"After the bye week, I felt better physically… There's still some burst I don't have… But that's something we'll continue to work on," Mahomes said, via Charles Goldman.

After the false start and the worst start, Michael Carrick ******* ounced it a fresh start. Manchester United have their fewest wins in their opening seven league games of a campaign for 40 years – just the one – and have not tasted victory in six matches in all competitions. Their manager nevertheless emerged from consecutive away games that brought defeat to Atletico Madrid and a draw at Leeds appearing more upbeat about their prospects.
"I understand the situation doesn't look too good if you look at it from a certain way, but I got no doubts that we can go on a good run," he said. That certain way could involve referencing results or the league table; seven games in, the club who finished third last season are already nine points adrift of the top three.
Carrick believes he has detected a good feeling around his squad, whether or not it stems from Lisandro Martinez's public criticism of director of football Jason Wilcox. "I felt like [it was] a bit of a fresh start today and where we're at, and accepting it and doing something about it," he said. Perhaps not doing enough about it, given the result was exactly the same – a 1-1 draw – as in their previous two league games.
Michael Carrick thinks Man United's new-look midfield, including Youri Tielemans (pictured), can lead their rebuild (Reuters)
If there is improvement in Carrick's camp, it has come from a low bar. And, in fairness, the performances in the intimidating atmospheres of the Metropolitano and Elland Road are not among United's four worst this season – Hull, Manchester City, Brighton, Tottenham – but, again, that is scarcely a compliment.

Germany great Lothar Matthäus has called for the return of Niclas Füllkrug to the national team.
"The numbers speak for him, even if he's at a certain age. Jürgen Klopp wants to rejuvenate the national team, but the young players still have too much fluctuation in their performance," Matthäus wrote in his column for broadcaster Sky on Sunday evening.
"A experienced player such as Füllkrug would bring in a good feeling," he added.
Füllkrug returned to Werder Bremen this season, a club he left in 2023 to join Borussia Dortmund. In 2024, he moved to West Ham, but struggled due to injuries.
He's at Bremen on a loan from the Premier League side and has scored seven goals in seven games across all competitions so far.

Michael Douglas has finally revealed why he refused to appear on David Letterman's talk show for almost two decades.
In his new memoir One ****** uva Ride, the Wall Street actor recounted how he had promoted various projects on the Late Show with David Letterman.
"I had been a regular guest on Letterman's show earlier in my career, but the last time I was on, I felt David went too far," he shared.

"(Letterman) started grilling me about it. It felt like he was making fun of my mother," the 82-year-old continued. "(That appearance) left me feeling like he had a real nasty sense of humour... After that, whenever the producers of the show requested to have me back on, I always refused. I said no for 18 straight years. Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, has opened up about the impact of losing his mother, the late Princess Diana, at a young age.
The Prince has shared his journey with grief in a new Masterclass collaboration with neuroscientist Dr Mary-Frances O'Connor ****** led Redefining Grief: Building Resilience Through Loss.

Ex-Prince Andrew reportedly does not have that much of a miserable life while in exile. The former Duke of York lost all his royal ******* les after the news of his scandalous past in relation to the Jeffrey Epstein case. The former Prince also had to leave his long-time residence, the Royal Lodge, within Windsor Great Park, and move to the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. The new report came amid news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor challenging the British police warrants used to search two of his properties.
Ex-Prince Andrew has reportedly been "having a very nice time" while in exile in the middle of his ongoing scandal. As reported by The Royal Observer, a source made this claim about the former Duke of York to The Times.
The former Prince has been staying at the Marsh Farm on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk after he had to leave his long-time residence, the Royal Lodge. According to the report, while moving away from a mansion with thirty rooms to a house with five bedrooms might appear to be a big loss, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has not completely lost his "charmed lifestyle."
Furthermore, per the news outlet, the insider told The Times that Ex-Prince Andrew "goes out, he goes off shooting with friends, he sees his old chums who are very loyal to him." According to the insider, the former Duke of York had not been "sitting around feeling sorry for himself any more." In the meantime, the former Prince's recent decision to take legal action against Thames Valley Police has caused quite the buzz among royal watchers.
Meanwhile, the publication further reported that the source also said to The Times that "There appears to have been a 'something must be done' moment where his lawyers, to appease him, will have said 'Don't worry, sir, we will handle it.'" This legal move came after the former Duke of York's arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

One of Andrew Tate's accusers says he convinced her to move to Romania by telling her she would be able to decide whether she participated in webcam work. According to newly public extradition materials, she says that choice disappeared after she arrived.
The woman alleges that she began working 12-hour shifts while Tate, his brother Tristan Tate and others controlled conversations with paying customers and accepted money for ***** ual acts she says she had never agreed to perform. TMZ reported the specific allegations from court documents filed as Britain seeks to extradite the brothers from the United States.
She says she had set explicit boundaries around what she would and would not do but was pressured into acts outside those limits, including one degrading act involving a bed fixture that allegedly continued for about an hour. The woman described her overall experience as feeling like "sexual slavery." The allegations have not been proven in court.
U.K. investigators allege the brothers used romantic relationships to draw women to Romania before using financial control, intimidation and violence to exploit them through online ***** ual content. The brothers deny wrongdoing and are fighting extradition from federal custody in Miami.
According to the documents described by TMZ, the woman says Tate persuaded her to relocate to Romania in 2017. The woman says she that Tate, Tristan and other people involved in the operation controlled communications with customers.

Prince Harry is opening up like never before about grief and what losing his mother, Princess Diana, at age 12 has meant for nearly every chapter of his life since.
In Redefining Grief: Building Resilience Through Loss, a new MasterClass available Oct. 8, the Duke of Sussex, 42, sits down with neuroscientist and grief expert Dr. Mary-Frances O'Connor for an intimate and at times deeply emotional conversation about loss, trauma and the ways grief can affect both the brain and body.
Rather than a traditional interview, the class — timed ahead of World Mental Health Day on Oct. 10 — unfolds as a candid exchange between Harry and O'Connor, a professor of clinical psychology and psychiatry at the University of Arizona whose research focuses on the psychological and physiological effects of bereavement. Together, they explore the science of grief and resilience while Harry draws extensively on his own life — from losing Diana and serving in Afghanistan to therapy, panic attacks, his marriage to Meghan Markle and life as a father.
"I didn't cry when I was told my mom died, only at her burial, and then not again for nearly two decades," he says near the start of the class. "I was convinced that was strength, but it wasn't. It was a 12-year-old boy with no permission to fall apart and no roadmap for how to heal."
"You would think I had the best help in the world. I'm a prince for God's sake, but I was still grieving and didn't have any place to put those feelings," he continues.

The actress urges women to seek support, noting many hide their feelings by saying they are fine
For Zoe Saldaña, there have always been ups and downs when it comes to dealing with her mental health.
"I think it comes in waves," the 48-year-old tells PEOPLE. "There are seasons where I feel ahead of it and I feel capable. And then there are times where I fall behind because I'm tired or really stressed. It's life. Life tends to either get ahead of you or be behind you, and I'm always trying to kind of read the room, you know?"

Christa Pike is feeling "angry and confused" after waking up in the hospital in the wake of a failed execution attempt that left her with severe physical health challenges that put her on a "long road to recovery," her attorneys said on Wednesday.
Pike had been unconscious and in critical condition in the days after two doses of pentobarbital failed to end her life on Sept. 30, they said.
"On Monday night, it was our understanding that Christa was brain-dead and that life support would be removed the next day," Randy Spivey, a member of her legal team, said during a press conference Wednesday afternoon. "But on Tuesday, to the shock of everyone … Christa woke up and began talking."
Spivey said the effects of the pentobarbital have caused her to develop a blood clot, pneumonia and left her arms and hands "tremendously swollen," to the point where she's not currently able to use them. He added that Pike is still dealing with significant "cognitive confusion," but is "very aware" that the state had tried and failed to end her life.
The press conference came shortly after a hearing in which a judge granted Pike's attorneys' request to order the state to preserve all evidence connected to the execution, including medical equipment, communications related to the decision to call off the procedure or related to her emergency care and "anything that was in the actual room." The judge also ordered that any "barriers" that may prevent Pike from communicating with her attorneys while she's in the hospital be removed.

Meredith Marks says she scheduled a facelift in the middle of her DJ tour and was performing again about 12 days after surgery.
"I was down for 48 hours, and after that I was pretty much fine," Marks, 54, told Page Six at the Virtual Reali-Tea Awards in New York City on Oct. 6th.
"I wasn't running around and going crazy or anything," she said of those early days.
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star underwent the procedure in February with Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Garo Kassabian, whom she praised as a "genius" during the interview.
In a September first-person account for Marie Claire, Marks said she began considering surgery after feeling that her face looked heavier than she wanted. She wanted a refreshed appearance that reflected how young and healthy she felt.
