Manchester United may stand a genuine chance at landing Alejandro Balde, who is now willing to leave Barcelona.
The Red Devils have practically finalised their midfield revamp, as they're about to add Carlos Baleba to their squad. The Cameroonian will join Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, who signed for United last month.
Therefore, INEOS can now primarily focus on recruiting a new left-back in the final days of the summer transfer window.
At the start of the summer, United were keen to buy Lewis Hall, identifying him as the perfect long-term replacement for Luke Shaw. However, Newcastle United refused to negotiate a deal with their rivals, especially after selling three key players already: Sandro Tonali, Anthony Gordon, and Bruno Guimaraes.
Therefore, Man Utd have turned to alternative solutions, including Balde, who has been unsettled in Catalunya.

A new hero established himself in the colours of Real Madrid late on Saturday evening. This came as Los Blancos battled their way to a last-gasp victory away at Espanyol.
Los Blancos got their La Liga campaign up and running a short time ago, making the trip to Catalunya for the first competitive fixture of José Mourinho's new tenure.
As proceedings rolled into injury time, the visitors looked set to be forced to make do with a disappointing share of the spoils, after Jude Bellingham's early opener was cancelled out by Álex Calatrava.
Just when he was needed most, though, a somewhat unexpected hero emerged for a star-studded Real Madrid squad…
After pouncing on a loose ball on the Espanyol penalty area, Carlos Espí, fresh off a summer move from Levante, showed impressive composure to set himself up before slotting home a confident right-footed finish.

An insight into the plans of those in a position of power at La Liga champions Barcelona to register the club's crop of summer signings for action in Spain's top-flight has come to the fore online.
This of course comes fresh off a busy couple of days on the incomings front at the Spotify Camp Nou…
Over the last 48 hours alone, Hansi Flick has seen his squad reinforced courtesy of a pair of high-profile additions. First through the door was Manchester City midfielder Rodri, followed in short order by João Cancelo's return from Al-Hilal.
These two add to previous deals for Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, amid something of a squad revolution in Catalunya's capital this summer.
As of this moment, however, none of the aforementioned quartet are registered to take to the pitch in league play… Just days out from Barcelona's La Liga season opener against Elche, Hansi Flick and his staff are technically unable to call on any of Rodri, Cancelo, Gordon or Adeyemi.

The Formula 1 driver market just received a massive update regarding the grid's most decorated champion. Lewis Hamilton has reportedly renewed his contract with Scuderia Ferrari, guaranteeing his presence in Maranello well beyond his initial two-year commitment.
According to the Spanish sports broadcaster Partidazo COPE, the seven-time World Champion has officially put pen to paper to extend his stay with the iconic Italian team.
The timing of the leak perfectly aligns with Ferrari's biggest weekend of the year. The official announcement of Hamilton's contract renewal is expected to drop just before the Italian Grand Prix at Monza on September 6.
When Hamilton shocked the sporting world by leaving Mercedes to join Ferrari ahead of the 2025 season, he originally signed a flexible "two-plus-one" deal. This guaranteed his seat through the end of 2026 while leaving the 2027 season as a unilateral option on the driver's side.
Following a challenging transitional year in 2025, Hamilton has experienced a massive resurgence in the 2026 campaign. Reinvigorated by the SF-26 challenger, he has consistently taken the fight to teammate Charles Leclerc—including a stunning victory earlier this year at the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix. Given his championship-contending form this season, executing the 2027 extension clause was widely viewed by paddock insiders as a mere formality.

For the first time, Formula One is headed to Madrid, which will be hosting the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix at the city's brand new circuit, Madring. With the race now less than a month away, a drone shot of the circuit shows the ongoing work that is expected to be completed ahead of the race weekend scheduled for September 11–13.
The track in question was ready since Ferrari conducted a filming day at the 5.416 km, 22-corner circuit last month. However, construction of the grandstands and the pit building still seems to be ongoing, as seen in the drone footage. The deadline for that is not known, but there could be some considerable work to catch up on in case of a delay.
Madrid took over Grand Prix hosting duties from Barcelona's Circuit de Catalunya, which was the official venue for the Spanish GP that hosted its first F1 race in September 1991. Madrid reportedly offered F1 around €48 million per year for the rights, almost double what Barcelona was paying.
Madrid boasts the ****** le of "first major European capital" to host a Grand Prix, meaning accessibility shouldn't be an issue for fans traveling to the venue using various modes of transport. Tickets for the event have been sold out, according to a report by GP Fans.
