According to Mundo Deportivo, FC Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji is continuing his rehabilitation after undergoing surgery on a serious knee injury, although he still faces a lengthy road back to competitive action.
The 20-year-old Swedish winger suffered a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his right knee during pre-season, a significant injury that is expected to keep him out for much of the season.
Bardghji underwent successful surgery on 12 August and, one month later, has shared a photograph from the gym at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper as he continues working through his recovery programme.
The Barcelona youngster is still using crutches and wearing protection on his injured knee, but his latest update shows that rehabilitation is already under way.

The Barcelona boss has named 24 players for the trip but has left out Pedri and Gavi, with both players working on specific training plans right now.

The sports front pages this August 12 spotlight the major continental final between Luis Enrique and Emery, along with ongoing situations involving Julián Álvarez, Ferran Torres, and Güler.
Marca puts the focus on the European Super Cup Final between PSG and Aston Villa. With the headline "Who will outshine whom?", the newspaper contrasts Luis Enrique's ambition to win the ******* le again with Unai Emery's revamped project. It also highlights Real Madrid's return to the Teresa Herrera Trophy thirteen years later.
In the Madrid press, AS gives its entire front page to Arda Güler under the slogan "Güler still in charge". The Turkish player will spearhead Real Madrid's attack at Riazor in the absence of the Club World Cup players. On the international front, the paper also covers the European Super Cup, describing it as a "very Spanish appetizer."
Mundo Deportivo focuses on the high-tension face-off between JuliánÁlvarez and Diego Simeone after the Argentine striker's no-show, both standing firm in their tug-of-war over his possible move to Barça. It also gives top billing to the "Lucho-Emery" Super Cup clash and confirms that Ferran Torres has been granted permission to finalize his departure from the blaugrana club.
Sport leads boldly with "Adieu, Ferran", announcing an imminent agreement with PSG for around 55 million euros. The Barça news is accompanied by a terrible medical update: the serious knee injury suffered by Roony Bardghji, who will miss the entire season with a torn cruciate ligament.

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick requested for six members of the current first-team setup in Catalunya's capital to train separately from the rest of his players on Tuesday.
That's according to Mundo Deportivo, who have provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at the Ciutat Esportiva.
Barcelona are of course currently in the thick of pre-season preparations with a view to the fast-approaching 2026/27 campaign. Training drills and methods have therefore been ramped up a notch over recent days, as players inch towards full match fitness.
This step up gave rise to its first casualty on Monday, however, as Roony Bardghji was forced out of training with what was later revealed to be a torn ACL in his right knee.
In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to hear of cautionary measures since being taken by Hansi Flick and his staff. As per a report from MD, all of Marc Casadó, Héctor Fort, Jofre Torrents, Tommy Marqués, Toni Fernández, and Guille Fernández were put through their paces in training away from their teammates earlier today.

Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji has suffered yet another severe knee injury, ending hopes of a summer move away from Camp Nou.
After joining the reigning La Liga champions last summer from Danish side F.C. København for €2 million ($2.35 million), the now 20-year-old ultimately appeared in just 28 games, of which he started 10, helping his side win the La Liga crown as well as the Supercopa de España.
Scoring just two goals and adding eight ****** ists during his debut campaign in Spain, all signs pointed to the Swedish international heading elsewhere this summer, especially following the signings of England star Anthony Gordon and Germany international Karim Adeyemi.

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick has admitted that he recently informed both Roony Bardghji and Marc Casadó that they do not feature in his plans for the season ahead.
Barca made the trip to Italy on Saturday afternoon, for a pre-season mini tournament featuring Udinese and Nottingham Forest.
At the last minute, though, the aforementioned Bardghji and Casadó were informed that they would not be part of the travelling party. Both have taken full part in pre-season in Catalunya's capital to date, but are now considered as being on the exit ramp.
Speaking to the media in the aftermath of yesterday's test in Udine, the aforementioned Hansi Flick was therefore drawn on the names of the two youngsters.
And Barcelona's headmaster went on to confirm that Bardghji and Casadó are indeed on the way out, a decision which proved understandably difficult to convey to the players themselves:

An insight into the reaction of Barcelona pair Marc Casadó and Roony Bardghji to the club's decision to send them on their way this summer has come to the fore online.
This comes amid confirmation that both players have been left taken aback by the handling of the situation.
Midfielder Casadó and attacker Bardghji earlier today saw their respective futures decided once and for all. After Barcelona's travelling squad for a pre-season mini tournament in Italy was unveiled, neither was anywhere to be seen.
It was subsequently confirmed that as much came owing to efforts on the part of the Camp Nou brass to sell the young pair before the window slams shut.
And as alluded to above, the harsh treatment to which they have been subjected by their employers over recent hours has come as something of a shock to Casadó and Bardghji alike.

As Barcelona gear up for the final stretch of the pre-season, Roony Bardghji will simply be a bystander, having been excluded from the team to play in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Cup.
Hansi Flick has sent a clear message to the young Swede that he no longer has any future at Camp Nou and that his departure must be completed.
As such, Bardghji will become one of many players set to leave the club this summer.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Bardghji is now on the verge of leaving Barcelona, with the plan having been in place for weeks.

The exit operation at La Liga champions Barcelona is beginning to heat up this weekend. This comes as four members of Hansi Flick's first-team squad inch towards imminent departures.
The more high-profile pair, as widely reported in the media over the last 24 hours, come in the form of Ronald Araújo, and Ferran Torres.
The latter is all set to link up with Premier League giants Liverpool on loan for the season ahead, whilst frontman Ferran has made the call to take his talents to European champions Paris Saint-Germain on a permanent basis.
As alluded to above, though, the exits from Catalunya's capital will not end there…
As revealed by Barcelona insider Gerard Romero, both Roony Bardghji and Marc Casadó have been left out of the Blaugrana's travelling squad for a pre-season mini tournament featuring Nottingham Forest and Udinese on Saturday.

Later today, Barcelona will take part in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Cup – a unique competition between three teams that will see three 45-minute games played out to crown a winner.
The event is part of Hansi Flick's pre-season camp and will see the Catalans play against Nottingham Forest and Udinese back-to-back.
For Hansi Flick, it is an event of real significance as it represents a massive chance for him to test out and tweak several players in his system.
Notably, however, multiple departure-linked stars have missed out on call-ups to finalise their exits and Roony Bardghji is one of them.
Indeed, as confirmed by SPORT, Hansi Flick has excluded Bardghji from Barcelona's games later today as a clear sign to the player that a departure must be completed.

Barcelona have made solid progress on the transfer front in recent days, both in terms of arrivals and departures.
While they are now on the verge of signing Rodri from Manchester City, Deco and Co. managed to facilitate Ronald Araujo's exit and are close to finalising departures for Marc Casado and Roony Bardghji.
One objective that they have struggled to achieve, however, is the signing of a centre-forward. Julian Alvarez remains the top target, but Atletico Madrid maintain that they will not sell to Barcelona under any condition.
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone was publicly asked about Julian Alvarez's situation earlier this week, and his response made it very clear that it was a decision of the club and not the player to continue working together.
"The situation is very clear. The club has made a decision that Miguel Angel has explained very well," he said, via Cadena SER.

Broony who joined Celtic from Hibs in a £4 million deal back in 2007, is the club's most successful skipper in the modern era, and made a total of 616 appearances for the club, winning a whooping 22 major honours.
The Quadruple Treble winning captain even stated that he would have left the club had Peter Grant, who was Mowbray's ******* istant, decided to stick around after the Englishman's dismissal in 2010.

Peter Grant who made 483 appearances for Celtic in a 15 year playing career in the hoops, has now responded to Scott Brown's unprovoked outburst, and did so in a measured and professional manner.
Speaking on Go Radio last night, Peter Grant said: "Everybody's entitled to their opinion. I have absolutely no problem whatsoever, it doesn't concern me in the least.

Barcelona took on Club Esportiu Europa in a friendly training match on Friday evening and came away with a 4-1 victory.
The two teams played behind closed doors, which means details are a little thin on the ground, but we do know Hansi Flick picked a very youthful team for the first half.
Here's a look at the team:
Barcelona starting XI: Wojciech Szczęsny; Hector Fort, Andreas Christensen, Gerard Martín, Jofre Torrents; Guille Fernández, Brian Fariñas; Roony Bardghji, Ibrahim Diarra, Hamza Abdelkarim and Shane Kluivert.
New signing Karim Adeyemi was present but didn't feature for Barcelona after only meeting up with his new team-mates for training for the first time today.

Karim Adeyemi is going to have to find himself a new shirt number once he completes his transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona.
The forward has favored wearing the No. 27 at Dortmund but that is simply not an option at Barca. First team players must wear numbers between 1 and 25, meaning Adeyemi’s preferred choice is not available.
The numbers from 26 onwards are used by those not registered with the first team, such as Barca Atletic players, which explains why Roony Bardghji wore 28 at the start of last season and then switched to 19 after he was registered.
According to Sport, Adeyemi liked the 27 because it’s a “a number that brings back good memories of his early years and that has accompanied him at different stages of his career.”
However, the Germany star is now set for a new start at Barcelona and with it will come a new squad number.

In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Sunderland are among the clubs hoping to sign Barcelona ace Roony Bardghji. It has been mentioned that the Black Cats would have to rival Aston Villa, Brighton and Hove Albion, Brentford and Everton in the race to sign the Swedish wide player later this year.
Bardghji endured an inconsistent campaign at the Catalan club but managed to put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 20-year-old registered two goals and picked up four ****** ists in 28 matches for Barcelona last season across various competitions.
The Swedish talent is currently among the most gifted wide players in La Liga. Hence, it is no surprise that Sunderland are in the running to land him this off-season.
His current contract at the Nou Camp will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Black Cats to sign him on a cut-price deal in this transfer window.

Barcelona have been busy fielding enquiries for Roony Bardghji this summer, with over 10 offers having been received for the 20-year-old.
Bardghji's future at the club is looking increasingly uncertain amid talk that Karim Adeyemi is poised to sign for Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund.
An update on the situation from Diario Sport claims that there is interest from clubs all over Europe. Premier League teams Sunderland, Leeds, Brighton, Fulham and Aston Villa are mentioned as admirers.
Juventus, Ajax, Marseille and Porto are also believed to be keen on Roony as well as clubs in Spain, meaning there are plenty of options if he does decide to move on.
Bardghji is due back for pre-season on Monday and is expected to speak to Hansi Flick about his future. Sport say Flick will tell Roony that he can stay but the best thing is for him to look for a team where he can play regularly.

Barcelona have already made moves for Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi this summer. The former’s transfer has been made official and the latter is expected to complete the formalities in the coming days.
Needless to say, Hansi Flick is going all out to strengthen the forward line ahead of next season, and the arrivals have been direct replacements for existing profiles.
Gordon arrived in place of Marcus Rashford whose continuity the club decided against. Adeyemi, meanwhile is expected to arrive in place of exit-bound Roony Bardghji as a more seasoned option.
Julian Alvarez, meanwhile, remains the primary target to replace Robert Lewandowski who left at the end of last season. Now, Ferran Torres is being linked with a departure to PSG and the club are again looking for replacements.
As relayed earlier this week, Fisnik Asllani is seen as a player who can replace Torres should he leave the club this summer. Mundo Deportivo now provide an update on the same.
