Cerebras Systems (NASDAQ:CBRS) has been cut in half. Shares of the artificial intelligence (AI) computing specialist peaked at $386.34 on their first day of trading in May, a day after the company priced its initial public offering (IPO) at $185 and raised $6.4 billion. As of this writing, the stock trades around $184 -- about 52% below the high, and just under that IPO price.
A decline like that usually follows a stumble: a guidance cut, a lost customer, a bad quarter. Cerebras hasn't had one. Shares dropped double digits anyway the day after its mid-August update, arguably the company's strongest yet and one in which management raised its outlook for the year.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Yet even at half price, the stock costs about 145 times the earnings **** ysts expect the company to generate next year.
What did the fall reprice -- the business, or just the price tag?

French manufacturing giant Vallourec has secured the entire carbon-steel line pipe and external coating scope for Petrobras's Sepia 2 offshore development, covering roughly 130 kilometers of subsea infrastructure.
The contract strengthens its position in Brazil's technically demanding pre-salt market and gives investors another reason to believe the group's offshore order book still has room to grow.
Vallourec shares rose around 6% after the premium pipe manufacturer announced a major contract with Subsea7 for the Sepia 2 project in Brazil's Santos Basin.
The agreement covers roughly 130 kilometers of rigid risers and flowlines, representing more than 15,000 tonnes of carbon-steel seamless line pipe designed for highly corrosive environments.

Senate Republicans aren’t happy with the lack of progress in the Iran war and what they say is the administration’s failure to identify clear objectives to end the conflict.
The war continues to be a major drag on GOP candidates as the failure to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and new threats facing oil exports from Iranian-backed Houthi militias have sent the prices to nearly $106 a barrel, while raising the national gas price average to $4.37 a gallon.
But Republicans are particularly concerned about the war’s impact on the price of diesel, which has soared to a national average of $6.31 and hit several Senate battleground states — including Alaska, Nebraska, Iowa and Maine — especially hard.
Some Republicans are now floating the idea of embargoing diesel exports produced in the United States to lower prices.
Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) expressed frustration over “the lack of just transparency and information from the administration on what’s happening, what we should expect, the costs,” joining other GOP senators who have expressed similar grievances.

As the artificial intelligence revolution shifts from experimentation to industrial scale, choosing between Cerebras Systems (NASDAQ:CBRS) and CoreWeave (NASDAQ:CRWV) presents a unique choice for investors seeking infrastructure growth in 2026.
Cerebras builds massive chips designed to accelerate intensive workloads, while CoreWeave offers specialized cloud services for those same tasks. Both companies have seen rapid growth as businesses scramble for computing power, making them key names to watch among semiconductor stocks and infrastructure providers.
Cerebras Systems focuses on a single, bold hardware proposition: the Wafer-Scale Engine. This processor is the size of an entire silicon wafer, designed to train complex models much faster than traditional clusters. The company serves enterprise, government, and high-performance computing customers across North America, Europe, and the Middle East. While its latest annual report does not disclose specific major customers, its global reach continues to expand as it targets large-scale research and national security projects.
Financial performance has trended upward significantly in recent years. In its 2025 fiscal year (FY), revenue reached $510.0 million, representing growth of 75.7% compared to the prior year. The company also achieved profitability during this period, reporting net income of $237.8 million. This results in a net margin of 46.6%, which measures the percentage of revenue that remains as profit after all expenses are paid.
As of its December 2025 balance sheet, the company maintains a current ratio of 2.1x, indicating its ability to cover short-term obligations with short-term ***** ets while the debt-to-equity ratio is -0.5x. During FY 2025, free cash flow was negative at $392.8 million. Free cash flow is the cash a business generates after paying for its operations and capital expenditures to maintain the business.

Chad Baker-Mazara's departure from USC last spring came after head coach Eric Musselman went off on a "profanity-laced, racially-charged" tirade against him in the locker room, the former player is alleging in a new lawsuit.
Baker-Mazara filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles on Monday, according to the California Post, claiming that Musselman erupted on him after the team's loss to Nebraska on Feb. 28. Baker-Mazara and the Trojans split just days later. He is suing the university for breach of contract, conversion and intentional interference with prospective economic advantage, among other things.
Baker-Mazara left USC during the final stretch of the regular season last spring. Specifics of his departure weren't known, other than it was reportedly due to "an accumulation of issues," but the timing was very suspect. The announcement came on March 1, just days before the Trojans kicked off the Big Ten tournament.
Baker-Mazara transferred into USC from Auburn, and averaged career-highs 18.5 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
The incident in question, according to the lawsuit, happened after their loss to Nebraska on Feb. 28. Baker-Mazara said that Musselman started yelling at the team in the locker room. Baker-Mazara tried to address his teammates, and Musselman shut him down.

Sept 14 (Reuters) - Hollywood designer Bob Mackie, known for making stars such as Cher and Elton John sparkle, died on Monday at 87, according to a post on his official Instagram account.
His career spanned five decades and included designing a Barbie doll clothes collection.
Born in 1939 into a middle-class family in Monterey Park, California, he was nominated for more than 30 Emmys, winning nine. He received Academy Award nominations for costumes worn in the films "Lady Sings the Blues," "Funny Lady," and "Pennies From Heaven."
"His genius and extraordinary designs will live on forever, continuing to bring beauty into this world," his team said in an Instagram post. His cause of death was not stated.
Mackie was known for sequins, rhinestones and glitter, but also humor. The highlight of his 11-year run for The Carol Burnett Show was the "curtain dress" worn by Burnett in a sketch parodying 1939 film classic "Gone with the Wind." The costume, now in the collection of the Smithsonian's American History Museum, included a brass curtain rod balanced on Burnett's shoulders and a bit of valance worn as a hat.

Texas volleyball has shown flashes of brilliance through the first three weeks of the season.
It has been swept (Louisville, Nebraska) and it brought out the brooms themselves (TCU, USC). The Longhorns won the fourth set against No. 8 SMU 28-26, but ended up losing the match in the fifth set.
The final game before conference play was a 3-1 win against No. 6 Wisconsin and it is probably, statistically, Texas' best game. Head coach Jerritt Elliott called it "the most organized and dialed-in that we've been all season long.
"We've had about three and a half total practices, so we're just trying to kind of get a rhythm," Elliott said after the match Sunday afternoon.
The Longhorns found it against the team that eliminated them from the NCAA Tournament last season in their most complete game yet.

The Gophers were blown out at home by Mississippi State 38-13 in Week 2, and the game didn't even feel that close. Was it a difference in talent? Coaching? Let's play the blame game and figure out what went wrong for Minnesota on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday's result was completely different than Minnesota's blowout losses at Oregon or Ohio State last season. Mississippi State has been near the bottom of the Southeastern Conference (SEC) over the last two seasons. Its preseason win total was set at over/under 4.5 wins, and the Gophers were favored to win Saturday's game, according to some sportsbooks. So what happened?
Recruiting site 247Sports makes a "Team Talent Composite" every season, which gives us a data point to use when comparing talent. Mississippi State is ranked 20th in the country with 26 four-star players on its roster. Minnesota is ranked 36th with 15 four-star players on its roster, according to the site.
If talent dictated results on the field, the Gophers shouldn't have lost 41-3 at Iowa last season, as they ranked one spot higher than the Hawkeyes on last year's team talent composite. Minnesota beat teams like Wisconsin and Nebraska last season, which ranked higher on the list.
The Gophers have two legit NFL Draft prospects in the trenches with Greg Johnson and Anthony Smith, an NFL-hopeful QB with Drake Lindsey, and plenty more talented playmakers across the field. 247Sports' points system gives Mississippi State's 2026 roster 798.6 compared to Minnesota at 745.8. Is that big enough of a difference for a 25-point loss at home?

Matchday 27 continued this Saturday (12) with six more games.

Conagra Brands, Inc. (NYSE:CAG) faces a governance test alongside its turnaround. Reuters reported on September 7 that Institutional Shareholder Services, or ISS, recommended opposing executive compensation, citing weak financial performance and inadequately explained incentive targets.
The September 23 non-binding advisory vote covers fiscal 2026 named-executive compensation. It does not separately approve new CEO John Brase's package. Brase succeeded Sean Connolly on June 1, after fiscal 2026 ended, separating his compensation arrangements from the prior year's pay decisions.
The proxy lists Brase's annual base salary at $1.15 million, his annual incentive target at 150% of eligible salary, and annual long-term incentives of $7.3 million, split 60% into performance shares and 40% into restricted stock units. Incentive opportunities are not guaranteed realized pay.
Conagra Brands, Inc. (NYSE:CAG) needs executives willing to work through changes whose benefits may take several years to appear. Brase's priorities include restoring margins, investing in brands and the supply chain, simplifying operations, and rebalancing capital allocation.
A mix of performance awards and service-based equity can support that effort. Performance shares link rewards to results, while restricted units help retain leaders through disruption. Retention has value if it allows management to complete difficult changes instead of optimizing the next quarterly result.

Nebraska volleyball schedule 2026: Dates, times, TV channels, live streams for Huskers home and away matches originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Fall sports season is back, which means it's time for women's college volleyball. As always, one of the nation's top programs is ready to dominate — get ready for Nebraska to hit the court.
Even with a lethal core squad, the Huskers fell short of a ***** le last year, losing to eventual champions Texas A&M in the Elite Eight. Prior to the regional final, Nebraska had sat strongly at the top of the national polls as it won 33 consecutive matches.
But a curtain call is looming for this era of Nebraska volleyball, as many of the program's star players are heading into their senior year. Outside hitter Harper Murray, middle blocker Andi Jackson, setter Bergen Reilly and libero Laney Choboy will all have an extra sense of determination as they look to secure a national ***** le before graduating.
Nebraska ranked No. 1 in the preseason AVCA coaches poll. Can Dani Busboom-Kelly lead the Huskers to a ***** le in her second year at the helm?

The CHAOTIC Coritiba vs. Athletico this Friday (11) has been full of drama and plenty of puddles on the Couto Pereira pitch.
And the derby in Matchday 27 of the Brasileirão has also already seen a sending-off based on the "Vini Jr. Law."
Coritiba had a free kick to take right near the end of the first half.
Then Breno Lopes went over to center-back Arthur Dias and covered his mouth with his right hand during a confrontation.
VAR official Rodrigo Nunes de Sá called referee Wagner do Nascimento Magalhães over to the monitor.

We've got a West Coast showcase on our hands Friday, Sept. 11.
Mater Dei, ranked No. 14 in USA TODAY Sports' latest Super 25 rankings, will play host to No. 7 Centennial in a battle between two of Southern California's best. The Monarchs are unbeaten, while the Huskies have one loss, which came at the hands of No. 4 Santa Margarita.
And with two nationally ranked teams meeting this early in the season, there's plenty at stake in Southern California.
Mater Dei enters Friday night looking to continue its perfect start and make another statement against one of the nation's premier programs. The Monarchs have become synonymous with elite high school football, routinely producing Power Four recruits and NFL talent while competing for championships at the state and national levels.

The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid are ready to offer a significant salary increase to midfield standout Jude Bellingham. This comes as Florentino Pérez and co. prepare to ramp up efforts to tie the Englishman down for the long-term.
Bellingham is for his part of course fresh off a superb opening to the new campaign. After lighting up the World Cup with Thomas Tuchel's England, the former Borussia Dortmund man was quickly afforded a central berth in the setup of new Real Madrid boss José Mourinho.
And Bellingham has since responded with a string of fine performances, giving rise to four direct goal contributions in four La Liga appearances.
Widespread confirmation has in turn surfaced over recent days that the Bernabéu hierarchy are ready to afford their all-action engine room star a new contract.
And as alluded to above, on Friday, further insight into the situation has been provided. The info comes courtesy of Blancos journalist Jorge C Picon, who reports:

Throughout the offseason, Chiefs players and coaches have spoken with a lot of excitement about running back Kenneth Walker and what he can bring to the offense.
That trend continued on Thursday with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who noted the versatility Walker has displayed in practice through training camp.
"You've got to use that guy," Mahomes said of Walker in his Thursday press conference. "I mean, he's a talented football player. He runs tough. He has speed. He can break a touchdown at any moment. He can catch the ball. He does kind of it all.
"And so, when you have those guys on your team, you find ways to get them the football. If that's either just handing the ball off to them or throwing it to them, you've got to and so we got him for a reason. He came in with the right mindset and mentality, and he's really attacked this offseason. And so, I think he's as excited as anybody to get out there in Arrowhead and have Chiefs Kingdom behind him, and so him as well as Emmett [Johnson] and Brashard [Smith], I mean, we've got a good running back room, and we'll utilize those guys within this offense."
The first chance we'll all have to see Walker with the Chiefs will be on Monday night when the club takes on the Broncos.

The U-20 team secured qualification for the 2nd round of the Copa do Brasil on Thursday afternoon (10) by defeating Cuiabá 4-3 in a penalty shootout in a single-leg match held at CT Rei Pelé! In regular time, the game ended 1-1, with a goal by Contreras!
Rodrigo Cézar, Diego Matos, Guilherme Cruz, and Pepê Fermino converted Santos' penalties, while goalkeeper João Pedro came up with a huge save!
Santos opened the scoring just 4 minutes in after a corner kick taken by Vinícius Fabri. Contreras' first header was saved by the goalkeeper, but he got on the rebound and headed it home to put his team in front.
Still in the first half, the Santos side had more chances to extend the lead, but failed to turn them into goals. In the second half, despite Santos still controlling the match, Cuiabá managed to equalize right at the end, taking the fight for qualification to penalties.
In the next round, Santos FC will face Palmeiras in October, with the date still to be confirmed.

Nebraska 3-New Mexico 0: 25-12, 25-13, 25-15
Well that was a quick match to start out the Huskers' season at the Bob Devaney Center! Everyone was excited to be back in the Bob tonight to watch some Husker volleyball and they really kept it short and sweet for the fans tonight with a 3-0 sweep.
Former Husker Allie Sczech was on the call, for B1G+, tonight along with 2 others and they had said a couple times how New Mexico was getting into their rhythm after a win against their rival, New Mexico State, earlier this week. The Huskers kind of just squashed whatever confidence they had coming in by shutting them down.
We saw the same lineup we've been seeing since the first match so we should ******* ume this is the starting lineup that DBK is going with this year. Olivia Mauch got the libero jersey once again too. I wonder when, or if, we'll see Laney Choboy as the libero at all this season.
This is meant to be no shade whatsoever towards New Mexico, but the Huskers kind of made them look like a high school team. The first set especially was a hard one for the Lobos. New Mexico just didn't seem ready for what was to come.

Barcelona sporting director Deco has provided an explanation for the club's decision to reject the permanent signing of Marcus Rashford, in favour of bringing in Anthony Gordon.
Winger Rashford of course spent the duration of last season plying his trade on loan in Catalunya's capital. The Englishman, for the most part, enjoyed an impressive stint in Blaugrana colours, racking up 28 goal contributions across all competitions.
After lengthy deliberation heading into the summer, however, the Camp Nou brass made the call not to make Rashford's move a permanent one.
Instead, they turned focus towards deal for fellow countryman Anthony Gordon, despite Newcastle's considerably steeper asking price.
Speaking during an appearance in front of the media this week, the aforementioned Deco was therefore asked for the first time exactly why he and his team of directors opted for Gordon over Rashford.
