The line outside St. Patrick's Cathedral, where Daddy lay in state, was a mile long. One hundred thousand mourners passed by his coffin. Family and friends took turns holding vigil. The first time I witnessed that public outpouring of grief was when I accompanied Mum, along with my siblings, to a special service the night before the funeral. I was thinking that Mary and all her angels were in the very room with us. Mum, Grandma Rose, and our aunts told us that Daddy was in Heaven and happy to be with Uncle Jack, his eldest brother, Joe, and his sister Kick. I could picture that lovely reunion. I was eight years old, and as a child had such a strong sense of Heaven as a physical place that when I flew in an airplane I chose the window seat so I could try to find Heaven in the clouds. Mum also believed Heaven was real, and she felt the full presence of God when she prayed. Her faith kept her going. It lifted us all through those awful days.

A Lewisville, Texas, barber returned $128,514 in cash he found sitting on top of a Bank of America

ATM, with not a dollar missing, Lewisville police said.
The 37-year-old man, who asked not to be identified, came across the bag at roughly 10 a.m. on Aug. 3, outside a Bank of America branch on West Main Street. He was accompanied by a 42-year-old woman. Nearby, officers also recovered a second, smaller bag that held 19 checks, CBS News Texas reported.
Information on one of the bags suggested the money might belong to a nearby Chick-fil-A, so the man drove there to return it. A manager said the restaurant had no claim to the funds. The man then called 911, and officers arrived to secure the bags.
A bank receipt found inside the cash bag specified the precise dollar amount expected. According to CBS News Texas, officers ran two separate hand counts and put the total through a digital currency counter before the sealed bag went into the Lewisville Police Department property room.
Police determined the money belonged to Bank of America and was being handled by its cash vendor, Brinks. Investigators determined that a Brinks technician had completed work on the ATM and inadvertently failed to take the bag with him when he left. Police found no connection to criminal activity. Bank of America has since recovered the funds.

A new facility in Alexandria, Louisiana, may begin receiving undocumented families with children, local officials and immigrant rights advocates say.
The 528-bed facility will house families with children, unaccompanied minors, and single adult females as they await removal inside renovated former Air Force barracks at England Airpark, a former military base that now houses the Alexandria International Airport and an immigration detention facility, according to a draft agreement between ICE and the England Economic and Industrial Development District (EEIDD) reviewed by ABC News.
A communications manager for EEIDD told ABC News the facility could start receiving people "within the next week or two."
The facility would be the second constructed to house children since President Donald Trump's second term began but is the first to hold unaccompanied minors who are usually held in shelters under the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services before deportation or release.

Coca-Cola announced plans Tuesday to invest $10 billion in U.S. infrastructure between 2026 and 2030, covering new and expanded production, distribution and office facilities across the country.
That $10 billion commitment is calculated across the full Coca-Cola system — meaning it rolls in spending by bottling partners and is not limited to the parent company's own capital budget, according to Reuters. In July, the company forecast its own capital expenditure at approximately $2.2 billion for the fiscal year. Projects covered by the broader $10 billion commitment include previously announced work in Rancho Cucamonga, California; Colorado Springs, Colorado; Indianapolis, Indiana; Birmingham, Alabama; Coopersville, Michigan; St. Cloud, Minnesota; Orlando, Florida; and Webster, New York, the company said.
The announcement accompanied an independently commissioned study measuring the Coca-Cola system's 2025 economic contributions in the United States. The study found the system contributed $85 billion to U.S. gross domestic product — roughly $10 million in economic activity per hour — and supported nearly 1 million jobs, the company said. Rounding out the economic picture, the system directed roughly $37 billion toward American suppliers and channeled $177 million into community initiatives via The Coca-Cola Foundation and the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.
"This ****** sment reinforces what we see every day: the Coca-Cola system is deeply rooted in America and continues to deliver meaningful value for the people and communities we serve," John Murphy, president and chief financial officer of The Coca-Cola Company, said in a statement.

When she was a working member of the royal family, Meghan was provided with official royal transportation, meaning she would use chauffeured cars accompanied by security.

Meghan Markle shared the first glimpse of her husband, Prince Harry, and their kids in the UK. Over the weekend, she posted an Instagram video featuring a domestic routine with her family. It was the first time the world peeked into the Sussexes' life in Britain since they returned. For those unversed, three weeks ago, the Duke and **** ss moved back to Harry's home country with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Meghan Markle's kids seem to enjoy their life in the UK with their mom and dad since their return. On Sunday, the "Suits" alum shared an Instagram Reel on her account, giving the world a glimpse of her family. Although the clip didn't clearly show the children's faces, it was evident that they were happy in their father's homeland.
The video began with Harry holding his wife's hand as the two walked on a wet trail. Surrounded by big green trees on both sides of the road, Markle turned around and encouraged to follow along. Next, viewers saw tiny feet of one of the kids in front of a fireplace, giving a cozy vibe. Then, the scene changed to the **** ss stomping lightly in muddy water.
Furthermore, the reel showed Princess Lilibet cycling while her brother cheered for her. Prince Archie soon ran alongside her sister, passing her and moving towards a herd of deer. Meanwhile, the kids' faces didn't appear in the clip, but their cheerful voices and body language delivered the excitement. Then, the song "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" by Wham! started in the background.
The video also showed Harry sitting on a boat with his kids and fishing. The Sussexes' dogs accompanied the family on the countryside adventure. Meanwhile, Markle added a British flag and a heart emoji on the screen throughout the Instagram reel.

"It's something you never forget. In the middle of a tragedy — especially in New York, where they're in a hurry. That happened, and everybody pitched in to help. They just wanted to help and do whatever it takes," Campbell said. "Anybody who was up there at that time, even wanting to go help, to get into the city after that, that took a lot just to get up there. It definitely pulled our country together, and it was one of those things you just don't ever forget. There was a lot of loss. Those things you don't forget, and I can't believe it's been 25 years."

Both pharmaceutical giants delivered solid Q2 2026 results, but AstraZeneca is showing stronger overall financial momentum. AstraZeneca PLC (NYSE:AZN)'s Q2 revenue increased 6% year over year to $15.38 billion, supported by its Oncology franchise, which grew 18% in H1 to $14.12 billion, and its Rare Disease portfolio, which increased 13%. Core EPS rose 21% to $2.63, beating expectations, while management reaffirmed its full-year 2026 outlook for mid-to-high single-digit revenue growth and low double-digit Core EPS growth.

Amgen's bull case is supported by robust growth in key products, which increased 26%, and $3.5 billion in Q2 free cash flow, providing substantial capital flexibility. Wells Fargo raised its Amgen price target to $435 from $400 on September 4, citing potential upside from HORIZON and pipeline ****** ets such as olpasiran. New Phase III VESALIUS-CV data also showed Repatha reduced the risk of death by 20% in high-risk adults without a prior heart attack or stroke, with heart attack risk reductions emerging as early as six months.
