New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reportedly split from ex-fiancé Riley Roberts before deciding to freeze her eggs.
Leigh Ann Caldwell, Puck's Chief Washington Correspondent, reported on Tuesday, August 11, that Ocasio-Cortez, 36, and Roberts called it quits, though the timeline remains unclear.
"I was told by a reputable Democratic source about 18 months ago that her engagement was called off," Caldwell shared via X. "AOC stopped wearing her engagement ring several months before that."
TMZ also reported the former couple had gone their separate ways, pointing to Ocasio-Cortez and Roberts last being photographed at the Met Gala in 2021.
However, one user on X pointed out that Manhattan's Black Iron Burger shared a photo of Ocasio-Cortez with an unidentified man in May. Meanwhile, another suggested she and Roberts were recently seen walking together — although the subjects in the photo cannot be identified as it only shows the back of their heads.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., one of Congress' most outspoken progressives and a member of the "Squad," won the 12th Congressional District's Democratic primary Tuesday evening, teeing up her re-election for a fifth term.

It has also widened the range of positions held by their candidates.
When Tlaib and fellow Squad members joined the House of Representatives in 2019, their campaigns stood out for their far-left views. Tlaib and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., in particular, stood out because of their membership in the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
Eight years later, the DSA has backed Tlaib again.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., took aim at members of her own party on Thursday in a podcast interview for closing ranks around former President Joe Biden.
"The Majority Report" host Emma Vigeland asked Ocasio-Cortez about how the Democrats lost credibility on the issue of democracy. The host said the Democrats boxed out voters with "the genocide in Gaza" and Biden's run for re-election with no real Democratic primary.
"When Kamala Harris was going around and talking about democracy with a banner behind her, they didn't have the credibility that they needed to fight this fascist threat," the host said.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., came under fire after claiming the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) would "merge parts of our military with the Israel Defense Forces," drawing accusations that she distorted what the legislation actually does.
The fight centers on Section 219 of the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act, a provision that calls for deeper U.S.-Israel defense integration through expanded cooperation on military technology, supply chains, research, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and joint exercises.
On Wednesday, the House passed its version of the FY2027 NDAA in a 219-206 vote, leaving Section 219 intact.
But ahead of the vote, Ocasio-Cortez wrote on X that the NDAA "includes a provision to merge parts of our military with the IDF."

Infighting has erupted within the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) about the selection of its pick for U.S. president, as the group's influence continues to grow on the national stage and speculation swirls about a 2028 presidential run by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y.
The infighting reveals fractures in the roughly 120,000-member group, which has emerged as the preeminent socialist group in America. The division also sheds light on how some Democratic Socialists of America members believe the group can gain a permanent foothold in American politics and deliver on its socialist ideals on a national scale.
Some Democratic Socialists of America leaders have been pushing for an earlier presidential endorsement in place of the group's normal practice of selecting endorsements at its biennial national convention, which is set for summer 2027.
One faction known as the "Groundwork" caucus is pushing strongly for the group to conduct a national member poll and "endorse AOC on day one." The caucus believes an early endorsement will help DSA hold a more influential early role in 2028 presidential politics and "build power for socialism."

Former Vice President Kamala Harris is courting New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, and other progressive power players as 2028 speculation builds around another possible White House bid.
The phone call with Mamdani last week, first reported by Axios and confirmed by Fox News Digital, along with other closed-door meetings with progressive groups, suggests Harris is trying to shore up support from factions of the party that didn't support her during her 2024 run.
Additionally, Harris met with progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., behind the scenes at a Black women empowerment summit in Chicago, Axios first reported, and Fox News Digital confirmed.
Harris reportedly has also been reaching out to pro-Palestinian groups after she faced pushback from those groups during her 2024 presidential run. Harris reached out to at least one group that was part of the "Uncommitted Movement" that developed as a result of President Joe Biden's handling of the Israel and Gaza conflict.

After leading the U.S. Women's Hockey Team to an Olympic gold medal, an NCAA national championship and winning the Patty Kazmaier Award as the top female player in women's NCAA hockey, it appears Wisconsin's Caroline Harvey is going to be at the top of another list soon.
Harvey is expected to be the No. 1 pick in this Wednesday's Professional Women's Hockey League Draft at the Fox Theater in Detroit. Harvey's season was so dominant that she is expected to change the salary structure for the top players in this year's draft.
A few of Harvey's teammates are expected to also walk across the stage early as four Wisconsin players could be chosen in the opening round. Laila Edwards, Kirsten Simms and Lacey Edens are all expected to be chosen by the 10th selection in the draft. Vivian Jungels will likely be selected in the second round.
Other former Wisconsin players eligible to be selected in the draft include McKayla Zilisch, Brette Pettet, Sophie Helgeson and Maddie Posick. Pettet's and Posick's last year was 2022. Helgeson's final season was 2024.
Plover native Alexandria Weiss, who played at Mercyhurst and Syracuse, is also eligible to be drafted. Her last collegiate season was in 2024.
