In late September 2026, AT&S Austria Technologie & Systemtechnik AG announced an expanded collaboration with Marvell Technology to increase advanced IC substrate capacity for next-generation AI and cloud infrastructure, while Marvell also affirmed a quarterly dividend of US$0.06 per share payable on October 29, 2026.
This deeper manufacturing partnership gives Marvell greater access to complex packaging technologies that are increasingly critical for high-performance AI chips and data center hardware.
Next, we'll examine how this expanded AT&S manufacturing capacity could influence Marvell's AI-focused growth story and longer-term investment narrative.
The future of work is here. Discover the 89 top robotics and automation stocks leading the charge in AI-driven automation and industrial transformation.
To own Marvell, you need to believe its AI and data center franchises can justify today's rich valuation and eventually translate into stronger, more consistent earnings power. The expanded AT&S IC substrate deal directly supports Marvell's near term AI optics and custom silicon ramp, while also amplifying the existing risk that long term supplier prepayments and capacity commitments could weigh on margins and free cash flow if AI demand or customer ramps slow.

LONDON (AP) — British police on Tuesday arrested a 22-year-old man in London on suspicion of a terror offense over a security incident at a U.S.-run military air base in England that authorities have linked to Iran.
The arrest is the seventh in connection with a suspected plot against RAF Fairford, located 100 miles (160 kilometers) west of London, which has been used by American bombers to strike Iran during this year's war.
Five British men in their 20s were detained near the perimeter of the base in the early hours of Sept. 27, and a 25-year-old British-Iranian man was arrested in London on Thursday. All six have been released on bail under investigation.
Counter Terrorism Policing said a British national was detained Tuesday in the Westminster area of central London on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts.
Vicki Evans, the senior national coordinator for counterterrorism policing, said detectives "continue to pursue multiple lines of inquiry" and "remain committed to investigating all possible angles."

Investors aren't exactly short on reasons to worry.
The Shiller cyclically adjusted price-to-earnings (CAPE) ratio, which measures stock prices against 10-year inflation-adjusted earnings, and the Buffett indicator, the ratio of stock prices to GDP, show that the S&P 500 (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) is historically expensive. Leadership has been extraordinarily concentrated in megacap tech stocks. Inflation is well above 3%. Long-term Treasury yields are at multidecade highs. And beneath the surface of the major indexes, market breadth has weakened considerably.
Missed AI's "Act 1"? Act 2 Could Be 14x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn't buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our ******* ysts, we're only at the end of "Act 1"—the R&D phase. "Act 2" is the global rollout. Continue »
Any one of those could sound like a reason to prepare for the next market crash. But decades of stock market history suggest investors may be obsessing over the wrong things.
Instead of asking if and when stock prices will fall next, I'd ask a much simpler question: How long can you stay invested?

LONDON/WASHINGTON, Oct 5 (Reuters) - US President Donald Trump said on Monday that a threat linked to Iran had prompted the removal of American B-1 bombers from a British airbase.
The planes had been stationed at RAF Fairford, the preferred European base for US bombers, and had recently been used in US strikes on Iran. Last week, five British men were arrested near the base — which Iran's Revolutionary Guards previously said was a legitimate target — on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts.
"We had an idea that there might be a threat, and why would I leave them there? It costs very little money to move them," Trump told reporters on Monday. "So we had a threat, and if we're going to be threatened, we just move them, and that sort of alleviates that. And we actually know the people that made the threat."
When asked if they were linked to Iran, Trump responded: "They would be linked to Iran."

Simu Liu has entered a new chapter in his personal life after marrying Allison Hsu. The Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings star and Hsu tied the knot in France nearly four years after their relationship became public. The couple had announced their engagement in 2025 before their recent wedding.
Simu Liu and Allison Hsu are officially married after exchanging vows in France over the weekend of October 3, 2026. A source confirmed the news to PEOPLE, while TMZ was the first to report it. Liu and Hsu had been together for almost four years before getting married.
Their relationship first became public in November 2022. The couple shared their first relationship post on Instagram on November 20, 2022, and made a joint appearance at the Violent Night premiere later that month. Liu proposed to Hsu in Paris, with the Eiffel Tower serving as the background in a romantic setting.
The couple revealed their engagement on May 11, 2025, through a joint Instagram post featuring several photographs from the proposal. Hsu also showed off the diamond ring Liu gave her. "Us forever," Hsu wrote in the caption.
The wedding followed months of preparation, with Liu previously discussing the process during a February interview with PEOPLE. He said planning had been "really wonderful," but admitted that the expenses involved had become his least favorite part. "Everything's been good. I would say we're at the point now where it's probably my least favorite, it's where I'm finding out how much everything costs," he shared.

Wealthy baby boomers have spent decades building their fortunes—and the foundations, donor-advised funds, and giving traditions that come with them. But as the $124 trillion Great Wealth Transfer gets underway, a growing share of the older generation isn't so sure their kids will carry on tradition the way they hope.
Fewer than half of wealthy Americans (47%) believe the next generation is prepared to take on family philanthropic causes, down from 55% in 2024, according to research from Bank of America released last week. The share of parents who believe their children share their commitment to giving back fell even more sharply to 65% from 76%. The bank surveyed more than 1,430 wealthy individuals in the U.S. aged 21 or older with at least $3 million in investable ******* ets, excluding primary residence.
The confidence gap in philanthropy mirrors a broader anxiety wealth advisors have noticed about whether heirs are ready for any of it.
"This is a very real concern I'm hearing from ultra-affluent families right now," Tom Thiegs, managing director of leadership and legacy at Ascent Private Capital Management with U.S. Bank, told Fortune of parents' fears that wealth could dampen their children's drive. Trent Von Ahsen of Cedar Point Capital Partners also told Fortune his clients are leaning on mentorship and phased wealth transfers rather than lump-sum inheritances.
But the irony is younger donors are, by several of the study's measures, more engaged donors than older generations. Gen Z and millennial donors support an average of 12 charitable causes, compared with eight among wealth donors overall. They're also roughly twice as likely to use a donor-advised fund, and 87% say honoring their family's philanthropic tradition is important. Meanwhile, 86% say it's equally important to establish their own charitable identity.

A royal expert shared that Prince Harry wants to spend as much time as he can with his father, King Charles, now that he has returned to the UK. However, she noted that their extended stay in the country could create challenging times for Meghan Markle. The Sussexes moved to the UK in August 2026, more than a month after their private reunion with King Charles.
Expert Roya Nikkhah shared what she thinks Prince Harry looks forward to now that he's back in the UK for an extended period of time. She said, "I think the jury is out on that. I mean, my sense and my feeling is I do really feel that Harry wants to spend as much time as he can with his father. His father is still receiving cancer treatment."
Nikkhah said she's aware that Prince Harry hasn't yet met his father since he returned. The expert added that Harry feels he can be more effective in the UK over the next year as he prepares for the Invictus Games in Birmingham. Moreover, she believes Harry does want his children to get to know more about the Royal Family and the Spencers.
"I think it's going to be more challenging for Meghan in terms of what she does here in the UK. It always was quite hard for her. She didn't love it and I think it'll be tricky," Nikkhah further added in an interview with Times Radio, explaining why the stay could prove to be challenging for Markle (via The News International).
This news comes amid royal sources having told Naughty But Nice that King Charles does have plans to meet with Markle and Harry before Christmas. They said, "This is not a casual 'let's get together sometime.' ****** ody drops in on the King. If Harry and Meghan are in Charles's diary, it is because he wants them there. This is deliberate."

Usha Vance experienced a terrifying moment on October 5 when she stepped off a helicopter at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
The Second Lady nearly stumbled down the aircraft's metal steps while carrying her baby boy, Alec, who was securely strapped to her chest in a carrier.
The scary incident unfolded as Usha — who was accompanied by her family — prepared to board a flight to Alaska where the Vice President, JD Vance will speak at a Republican National Committee rally in support of Senator Dan Sullivan.
Usha suffered a close-call
She was juggling her two-month-old infant alongside a large bag when she appeared to lose her footing near the bottom of the staircase.

The four-day Fully Loaded at Sea voyage sails from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico beginning Nov. 19
Kreischer says the inaugural trip depleted its vodka supply on the first night, requiring a resupply boat
He promises to set aside $1,000 for children conceived during the cruise
Bert Kreischer has a lot going on and, as usual, he's not exactly taking the quiet route.
The 53-year-old comedian is gearing up for the second voyage of Fully Loaded at Sea, his four-day comedy cruise sailing from Miami to Mexico in November. He's also preparing for the next season of his Netflix series, working toward another comedy special and juggling a schedule that includes a monthlong tour, the New York Food & Wine Festival, a commercial shoot, trips to London and Las Vegas and, naturally, whatever else gets thrown his way.

Denise Brown — the sister of the late Nicole Brown Simpson — opened up about the night before Nicole's 1994 murder, revealing that she witnessed O.J. Simpson stalking his ex while the siblings were having dinner together.
"I said all the wrong things to Nicole: 'You've got to leave him. You've got to get out of this situation. What are you doing?'" Denise, 69, told The Guardian on Monday, October 5. "That was not being supportive. I want people to get educated and be supportive, and I want victims to know they're not alone in this situation, and it's not their fault that this is happening to them."
Nicole began dating O.J. when she was just 18 years old, and he was 30. They tied the knot in February 1985, welcoming daughter Sydney that same year. Their son, Justin, was born in 1988. After years of domestic violence allegations, the pair divorced in February 1992.
Tim Wright / MEGA
According to Denise — who is preparing to release her new book, For My Sister Nicole — she and Nicole were out to dinner for a family celebration on June 11, 1994, when Nicole noticed the former Buffalo Bills star driving by.

The shrapnel hit Army Lt. Col. Arturo Lincón's body like shattered glass.
One chunk of metal lodged into the left side of his jaw. Another piece sliced through his salivary gland before bouncing off his jaw and piercing the back of his neck, severing an artery and embedding in a vertebra.
Lincón was among dozens of U.S. soldiers injured in an Iranian drone strike on March 1. The attack on the second day of the U.S. war with Iran killed six troops who were providing logistical support of critical supplies at Port Shuaiba in Kuwait.
Whether the military was properly prepared for treating its wounded has become a sharp point of contention. Soldiers and family members have told The ****** ociated Press of a failure to recognize the seriousness of injuries, a poor plan to get the wounded to hospitals and red tape that has hindered follow-up care. The Pentagon has said that the medical care was appropriate.
Nine U.S. service members who were wounded spoke to the AP on the record — rare for troops still in the Army — about what they describe as a medical system that left them in many ways fighting to get treatment on their own.

As Houthi militants in Yemen attacked ships with missiles and drones in the Red Sea early last year, top U.S. officials gathered at the Pentagon to prepare military options for President Donald Trump. Their meetings repeatedly grew tense.
On one side were Gen. Michael “Erik” Kurilla, then overseeing U.S. operations in the Middle East, and other hawks ready for action. The general was keen on military action not only against the Houthis but also against Iran, which had backed the Yemeni paramilitary group for years with weapons and training, according to people familiar with the matter. Like others, they spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal government deliberations.
On the other side were officials hesitant to launch military strikes so early in the second Trump administration, including the Joint Chiefs chairman, Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., who suggested that new U.S. **** sments of what military action might yield would be wise before presenting the president with military options.
That triggered an abrupt response from Kurilla, people familiar with the matter said.
“General,” Kurilla said, “the time for **** sments is over.”

(NewsNation) — Prince Harry is rumored to be preparing a documentary about Princess Diana to mark the 30th anniversary of his mother's death, with the potential 2027 project already eliciting some negative reaction.
Royal commentator and journalist Rob Shuter says he's all for the concept.
"It's his right to tell the story. That is his mom. Lots and lots of people will be making documentaries next year," he told "NewsNation Prime" on Saturday. "The historian in me, the reporter in me, says we want as much information as we possibly can get, and who better to talk about Princess Diana than her son?"
New book by Princess Diana's brother prompts war of words with King Charles III
The former Diana Spencer, who married and later divorced Prince Charles, was killed in a car crash in Paris in August 1997. At the time of her death, her eldest son, William, was 15; Harry was 12.

Astronomers say they have directly detected the first-ever radio emission from a planet outside the solar system. The signal, however, is evidence of a colossal magnetic field — not intelligent life.
“I know radio signals are **** ociated with searches for extraterrestrial intelligence,” said Edo Berger, a professor of astronomy at Harvard University. “But this is something very different.”
The discovery, described in a new paper awaiting publication in a peer-reviewed journal, traces repeating radio bursts that appear to come from the exoplanet Beta Pictoris b, located 63 light-years from Earth — a short distance, astronomically speaking. The gas giant, about 12 times the mass of Jupiter, is one of three planets orbiting a young star that is 1.75 times as massive as the sun.
Processes **** ociated with the planet’s magnetic field produce the radio emission, according to Berger, a researcher at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Specifically, the detection involves auroras similar to Earth’s northern lights — the spectacular displays sparked by magnetic storms involving charged particles from the sun. “In order to see radio waves that extend all the way to the frequencies that we observed, you need an incredibly strong magnetic field,” added Berger, a coauthor of the paper posted September 15 to the preprint platform ArXiv.

Jamie Oliver has stepped in to save the airfield and flying school where he trained to be a pilot.
The owners at Andrewsfield Aviation, near Braintree in Essex, said they were preparing to close operations because there was no successor lined up after they retired.
But the TV chef, who achieved his pilot licence in July, helped arrange new ownership to ensure the hangar doors remained open.
"Andrewsfield is a special place with so much potential," said Oliver, who is from Essex.
"It has an extraordinary history and is full of wonderful people with an exemplary training environment that has changed my life for the better."

Imagine spending decades wondering about your biological parents, only to discover that your dad is an icon of the '70s rock era.
That's what happened to Michael Goessling, a St. Louis man who was adopted as an infant and recently learned that his biological father is a five-time Grammy winner and Doobie Brothers crooner, Michael McDonald.
Goessling had always known he was adopted and says he had a wonderful childhood with his parents, Paul and Kay. But questions about his biological family remained until a half-brother he never knew existed took a 23andMe DNA test and received a match identifying Goessling as his half-brother.
Goessling eventually met his birth mother on his 58th birthday and later spoke with his biological father by phone. When his father mentioned that he was a musician preparing for a tour stop in St. Louis, Goessling put the pieces together and asked, "Are you Michael McDonald?" McDonald's response: "Yeah, I'm afraid so."
After finding out, father and son met in person, with Goessling recalling that McDonald immediately greeted him with a hug. The reunion came with another surprise for McDonald: He also learned he was a grandfather.

Jennifer Lopez committed a front-row faux pas with an unexpected accessory while attending the Stella McCartney spring/ summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week on September 30.
The Hustlers star attended the show at the British Embassy, where guests were unfortunately greeted with the fall rain. It was a good thing Lopez came prepared—well, kind of a good thing. The multi-hyphenate was seen shielding herself with a black umbrella, which she was later asked to take down by staff, so as not to block the views of people behind her as models came down the runway.

Opening a Bible that once belonged to Thomas Jefferson, staff at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History in 2011 discovered a reddish-blond hair pressed between the pages. That hair, suspected to have belonged to Jefferson himself, launched a DNA investigation spanning more than a decade that’s now providing a long-missing puzzle piece regarding Jefferson’s relationship with Sally Hemings, an enslaved woman in his household.
After spending years reconstructing DNA fragments, scientists have revealed the most compelling evidence to date that Jefferson, a founding father of the United States, also fathered children with Hemings — a relationship that has been long rumored but never definitively proven. How that investigation unfolded is documented in the book “History by a Hair: Thomas Jefferson, Sally Hemings & Solving a 200-Year-Old Mystery,” written by Richard Kurin, a distinguished scholar and ambassador-at-large at the Smithsonian, and published on September 22.
Kurin is also senior author of a paper describing the methods that connected the former US president to Hemings’ descendants, which involved delving deep into the genetics of the Jefferson and Hemings family trees. The paper, published September 21 on the preprint platform bioRXiv, has not yet been peer-reviewed.
In addition to testing the hair found in the Bible, the researchers also collected genetic material from multiple confirmed samples of Jefferson’s hair, held in the collection of the Smithsonian. They compared that with DNA from descendants of multiple lineages: Jefferson and his wife Martha, Jefferson’s brother Randolph, and two of Hemings’ sons, Eston and Madison. (Hemings had four children who lived to adulthood, but only Eston and Madison claimed Jefferson as their father).
Matches in the DNA suggest the chance that Thomas Jefferson fathered at least one of Sally Hemings’ children was 99.96%.

On September 9, 2026, Casey's General Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ:CASY) reported fiscal first-quarter revenue of $5.68 billion, up 24.3% year over year, and earnings per share of $7.37, beating the $6.78 ******* yst consensus. Yet shares fell roughly 10-15% after same-store sales grew just 3.2%, below the 3.8% Wall Street had expected.
CEO Darren Rebelez described a "volatile" fuel environment during the quarter. Same-store fuel gallons sold declined 0.3% as elevated prices pushed customers toward fewer gallons per visit, more frequent trips, and cheaper fuel grades.
Fuel profitability more than offset softer gallon volumes. Fuel gross profit jumped 19.6% to $446.9 million as the fuel margin expanded to 47.8 cents per gallon from 41.0 cents a year earlier. It shows Casey's General Stores, Inc. (NASDAQ:CASY)'s pricing discipline can protect profitability even when customers buy fewer gallons. Prepared food added another source of margin strength, with same-store sales rising 4.8% and margins expanding to 59.3% from 58.0%.
Strong earnings growth gives Casey's a solid start to fiscal 2027. EBITDA grew 17.1% to $485.1 million, while net income rose 27.1% to $273.7 million. It shows that Casey's can grow earnings despite softer same-store sales. The firm also delivered $5.68 billion of revenue, up 24% year over year and above the $5.56 billion ******* yst estimate. It gives investors evidence that the overall business remains capable of producing strong growth.
Casey's is expanding its store base and integrating Fikes. The business said the Fikes integration remains ahead of schedule and maintained its plan to open at least 120 stores in fiscal 2027 through construction and acquisitions. Ongoing unit growth can expand Casey's geographic reach, increase purchasing scale, and support long-term revenue growth even if mature-store sales remain uneven.
