July 30 (Reuters) - French digital payments group Worldline lowered its 2026 revenue growth expectations on Thursday, saying a recovery in ‌new business had taken longer than expected as banks delayed awarding contracts ‌following the company's recent setbacks.
Worldline now expects flat to marginally positive revenue growth in 2026, compared with its previous forecast for low single-digit growth.
Second-quarter revenue was flat year-on-year after seven consecutive quarters of contraction.
Chief Executive Pierre-Antoine Vacheron said the recovery in commercial activity and revenue recognition had been slower than anticipated because some banking clients took longer to commit ‌to new business with the ⁠company.

Next weekend, the Pro Football Hall of Fame welcomes the Class of 2026. This year, five NFL legends will be recognized for their accomplishments on the field as their stories become immortalized forever in Canton, Ohio. Off the field, another distinguished honoree will also be recognized. During the Enshrinees' Gold Jacket Dinner, Sandy Grossman will become the first television director to receive the Pete Rozelle Radio-Television Award from the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Grossman's recognition marks a historic first for the Hall. Over a broadcasting career that spanned more than five decades, he directed coverage of a record 10 Super Bowls, 18 NBA Finals, five Stanley Cup Finals and multiple Olympic Games opening and closing ceremonies.
Grossman retired in 2012 and passed away in 2014 in Boca Raton, Florida, at the age of 78. Earlier this year, his son, Dean Grossman, received the call informing him that his father would finally receive one of football's highest honors.
"I got a text from Rich [Desrosiers] at the Hall asking if I was available to speak in about an hour. So, he called me along with Joe [Hawkins] and Jim [Porter]. I told them I had never been to the Hall of Fame before, and they told me I'm going to get on a plane this year because my father will be winning the Pete Rozelle Award," said Grossman. "It was very emotional. I hung up and started to cry."
Earning a place in the Pro Football Hall of Fame is one of the most difficult accomplishments in football, whether as a player or broadcaster. The selection process for the Pete Rozelle Award is equally demanding. Candidates require an extensive case for consideration, and only one recipient earns the reward each year.

The inclusive nature of the Commonwealth Games' integrated schedule is helping to change African attitudes towards disability, according to some of the continent's leading para-athletes.
Unlike the Paralympics there is no separate event for para-sports at the Games, meaning medals won by disabled and non-disabled competitors contribute equally to a nation's tally.
The process began in Manchester in 2002, helping to make it the first fully inclusive international multi-sport Games, with para events taking place during the same sessions as non-disabled ones.
"Sport really is a huge pusher for change," swimmer Husnah Kukundakwe, who is Uganda's team captain in Glasgow, told BBC World Service.
"It shows that para-swimming or para-sport just deserves the same kind of recognition, funding, sponsoring."

The New York State Sportswriters **** ociation put together the first set of all-state flag football teams in 2025. This year's selections include seven players at Section V schools named first team all-state, one more than last season.
Webster Schroeder quarterback Emma Rascoe has completed her high school playing days as a two-time member of the Class B all-state first team offense.
Rascoe, the 2026 Democrat and Chronicle All-Greater Rochester Player of the Year, finished with 63 touchdown passes and 78 total touchdowns during her senior season as Webster Schroeder went 14-2. She finished with 4,729 all-purpose yards, including 3,776 passing yards, while helping the Warriors win the Section V Class B championship. The Warriors were state champions in 2025.
Bishop Kearney standout Nela Lopusanova, a three-time AGR first team member, and East Rochester defensive star Payton Kinney earned Class C first-team all-state honors for the second consecutive year.

The Wisconsin Badgers rowing program gained more international recognition this week as former lightweight standout Claire Friedlander was named to the U.S. team for the 2026 World Championships in Amsterdam.
Friedlander will compete in the lightweight women’s single sculls from August 24 to 30, putting another Badger in the global spotlight.
The Philadelphia native earned her place by winning the lightweight women’s single sculls trial at Mercer Lake in New Jersey with a time of 7:51.81. This win was important because it returned her to an event where Wisconsin fans already knew her as a reliable and accomplished member of the team from 2019 to 2023.
Friedlander also has international experience from the 2022 World Rowing Under-23 Championships in Varese, Italy. During her time at Wisconsin, she earned Academic All-Big Ten honors in 2021 and helped the lightweight team win first place at the IRA Championships.
What she was able to accomplish in Madison goes beyond recognition; she’s helped put and keep Wisconsin on the map in this growing sport.

The Baltimore Ravens made a notable roster move days before training camp, waiving undrafted rookie quarterback Diego Pavia to create room on the 90-man roster for veteran center Ethan Pocic.
The move ends Pavia's brief stay in Baltimore after the former Vanderbilt standout joined the Ravens as part of their offseason quarterback competition. Pavia arrived with name recognition after finishing second in the 2025 Heisman Trophy voting, but the numbers game changed once Baltimore officially added Pocic after he passed his physical.

While the Carolina Panthers were left on the outside looking in, here are our picks for the All-NFC South Team of the 2020s (so far) at wide receiver.
One key stat we're relying on is Approximate Value from Pro Football Reference, which PFR defines as "an attempt to put a single number on the seasonal value of a player at any position from any year." In practice, that means giving higher numbers to player who start more games, play more snaps, and do more to help their team win by racking up yards, scoring touchdowns, creating turnovers and sacking quarterbacks, and so on. We're also **** igning point values to being named a first-team All-Pro (ten points), second-team All-Pro (five points), and Pro Bowler (three points). And then we're adding those numbers together. Remember, these are all-decade teams for the NFC South, which didn't exist until 2002, and only contributions on the four teams in the division factor into our formula. So Drew Brees earning a Pro Bowl nod with the San Diego Chargers in 2005 doesn't help him, for example.

Rather than replacing human decision-making, the platform augments it, giving suppliers AI-assisted pricing guidance and real-time feedback on how their offers compare. Customers report an average 18.8% savings on spend and sourcing cycles accelerated by up to 60%. One manufacturer identified more than $55 million in savings with a two-month ROI across 40 plants and more than 400 suppliers; an LNG operator cut high-value sourcing cycles from days to minutes while achieving 29% savings; and a global medical device manufacturer compressed logistics request-for-quote timelines from four months to six weeks, saving $2.4 million.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to receive recognition for one of the strengths of their roster heading into the 2026 season.
In his rankings of the NFL's best offensive tackle duos, Sports Illustrated's Gilberto Manzano placed Tampa Bay's pairing of Tristan Wirfs and Luke Goedeke at No. 3 in the league. Much of that recognition starts with Wirfs, who has already built one of the most decorated résumés among active offensive linemen.
As Manzano pointed out, Wirfs is the only player in NFL history to earn ******* ociated Press First-Team All-Pro honors at both right tackle and left tackle. After helping to protect Tom Brady during Tampa Bay's Super Bowl-winning 2020 season, Wirfs has seamlessly transitioned to protecting Baker Mayfield's blindside while continuing to perform at an elite level.
Manzano also noted that, according to Pro Football Focus, Wirfs earned top-five grades as both a pass blocker and run blocker last season, further cementing his status as one of the league's premier offensive linemen.
While Wirfs headlines the duo, Goedeke has quietly developed into a dependable starter on the right side. Since moving into the starting lineup, he has steadily improved his consistency and helped solidify one of the better tackle pairings in football. His continued development has allowed Tampa Bay to field quality protection on both edges of the offensive line rather than relying on one standout player.

The Philadelphia Eagles have one of the NFL's deepest rosters, which is exactly what every championship contender wants entering training camp.

Jeffrey Lurie has earned one of ESPN’s top humanitarian honors for work that has stretched well beyond football and into autism research, care, and support for families across the world. The Philadelphia Eagles owner and chairman was named this year’s recipient of the Stuart Scott ENSPIRE Award at the 2026 Sports Humanitarian Awards during ESPYS week. Lurie was joined at the event by Stuart Scott’s daughters, as well as Jason and Kylie Kelce, as he received recognition tied to one of the franchise’s most important off-field missions.
The award honors people who have used innovation, risk-taking, and the power of sports to help disadvantaged communities while reflecting values such as fairness, ethics, respect, and fellowship. For Lurie, the recognition is connected to his leadership with the Eagles Autism Foundation and the Lurie Autism Institute, two initiatives that have helped make Philadelphia one of the sports world’s most visible platforms for autism awareness, research, and care.
The Eagles Autism Challenge began in May 2018, and the Eagles Autism Foundation, founded in 2019, has raised more than $56 million through efforts such as the annual Eagles Autism Challenge. The foundation has helped fund more than 223 research projects and community grants worldwide, according to the team, while participant-raised funds from the organization’s signature charity event are invested into autism research and care programs.
Lurie’s impact expanded significantly in 2025, when the Lurie family donated $50 million to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Penn Medicine to establish the Lurie Autism Institute. The joint initiative between the two hospitals was described as the largest single donation to U.S. academic medical centers focused on autism research across the lifespan.
In the past decade, Lurie’s autism-focused efforts have contributed to more than $106 million in research and care. Under his leadership, the Eagles have made the Eagles Autism Challenge a franchise-wide initiative, with players, coaches, executives, and staff members participating in the annual event.

Two Tennessee high school football powers have received national recognition ahead of the 2026 TSSAA season.
With Week 1 kickoff just over a month away, MaxPreps has released its national preseason top 25, highlighting the country's top high school football teams entering the 2026 season. Division II-AAA's Baylor and Brentwood Academy each cracked the rankings, with Baylor the state's highest ranked team at No. 12 and Brentwood Academy sitting just behind at No. 14.

The pair faced off in Chattanooga last December for the BlueCross Bowl state championship. Both were undefeated entering the game, but Baylor claimed a 28-24 win over the Eagles to secure the gold ball.

The Boston Red Sox centerfielder is having a season that earned him recognition as a selection to the Midsummer Classic.
As part of the week, players all spend time at media day on Monday, and so Rafaela had the chance to answer some questions.
Often, the media day questions are a bit less serious than a player might be asked after a regular season game.

As an organization, the Los Angeles Dodgers accepted the ballclub's invitation to the White House this summer to celebrate the team's 2025 World Series victory.
"As was the case one year ago, the Dodgers' upcoming visits to the White House and Capitol Hill follow the longtime tradition of visits by other World Series champions," the Dodgers said via statement. "We appreciate these tributes in recognition of our back-to-back championships."
Whether or not to attend the once widley celebrated honor of celebrating championships with a visit to the White House has become a contentious topic in both of Donald Trump's administrations, himself a contentious figure.
In the Dodgers' case, longtime Los Angeles Times columnist Bill Plaschke took exception with the Dodgers' decision to attend, especially given the club's history with the iconic Jackie Robinson, who served a major role in integrating the MLB.
"The Dodgers do know they play in Los Angeles, right? Then why in the ***** do they insist on embracing the person trying to tear this city apart?" he wrote in his Los Angeles Times column. "This is an old issue, it's been written before, it's been debated ad nauseam, but it's happening again and remains as sickening as ever."

Baker Mayfield has earned another league-wide honor ahead of the 2026 season.
The NFL announced on its official X account that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback checks in at No. 77 on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026 list, the annual ranking voted on by players around the league.
While Mayfield's 2025 season didn't match the production of his previous two years in Tampa Bay, he remained one of the league's more productive quarterbacks. According to PFF, he completed 58.9 percent of his passes for 3,695 yards with 27 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions while posting a 70.0 overall offensive grade. He also generated 28 big-time throws and finished the season with a 2.91-second average time to throw.
Mayfield continued to provide value outside the pocket as well. He rushed for 402 yards on 55 carries, averaging 7.3 yards per attempt while forcing 22 missed tackles and picking up 15 explosive runs of at least 10 yards. His mobility has become an increasingly important part of Tampa Bay's offense, particularly when plays break down.
The recognition comes at an important time for the veteran quarterback. Mayfield enters the 2026 season in the final year of his current contract, and both he and the Buccaneers have publicly expressed interest in reaching a long-term extension before he reaches free agency.
