Halloween is tomorrow, and every year the Hoddle of Coffee likes to celebrate with a spooky TOTD. There are lots of obvious picks out there but each year I like to give you all a diferent flavour like Vanilla Fudge's Season of the Witch, Queen's Ogre Battle and Alice Cooper's Killer.
Today we're diving into a punk rock Halloween. There are great ones to choose from. Lots from The Misfits, including Halloween, but we've featured them a handful of times in non-Halloween hoddles because they're just a really cool band.

We've got one ******* of an SEC season on our hands, huh?
No one is left undefeated, and the top of the table is a four-way tie between Tennessee, Georgia, Ole Miss, and… Kentucky?? And let's be honest, none of their losses were great. Tennessee dropped a home game to Texas, which has looked like a shell for two weeks. Georgia got punked by Auburn (again at home.) Ole Miss got run over by Florida which looks like the best or the worst team in the conference depending on when you tune in. And Kentucky didn't just get beat by Alabama in Lexington… they got waxed.
Mizzou fans might be down in the dumps after the Tigers' embarrassing showing in Oxford, but we're halfway through the season and have no idea how it's going to turn out. For all we know, Mizzou controls its own destiny. So it might as well start on Monday by resting up and getting ready for the Halloween showdown against Arky. Hopefully the rest of the conference can keep the chaos rolling in Week 8 and create an opening for Eli Drinkwitz's squad.
Some interesting lines this week for those of you watching. Auburn is getting no respect after waltzing into Athens and taking down Georgia, as they're giving 8.5 points to Lane Kiffin's up-and-down Bayou Bengals. Meanwhile, South Carolina is a one score favorite over conference leader Tennessee, while Texas – which is currently considering benching its two-year starter!! – is a 3.5-point favorite over an Ole Miss team that just beat a fellow ranked conference opponent by four scores.

Robert De Niro's political reputation took an unexpected turn according to an AI image Donald Trump shared on Truth Social. The post depicted the veteran actor wearing a pro-Trump message, despite De Niro's long record of publicly opposing the president and his administration.
Donald Trump posted the apparently AI-created picture on Truth Social Sunday, showing Robert De Niro holding a red shirt emblazoned with "TRUMP IS MY PRESIDENT." The president added his own jab, writing, "Even this jerk is beginning to get it," while offering no indication that the actor had actually changed his political position (via The Independent).
De Niro has spent decades building one of Hollywood's most respected acting careers. His résumé includes Taxi Driver, Raging Bull and Goodfellas, while his performances have earned him two Academy Awards. Away from the screen, however, he has become equally recognizable for his outspoken opposition to Trump.
That stance stretches back years. Before the 2016 election, De Niro branded Trump a "pig," "punk," and "bulls*** artist." In 2019, he escalated his criticism by calling Trump "evil" and saying he could not wait to see him imprisoned. His latest comments to USA Today last month remained just as blunt.
"I don't even use the word 'hope' anymore," De Niro said of Trump's administration, warning that it could damage America and other parts of the world. "He's just going to destroy not only the country, but other parts of the world. It's insane. That's a big concern of mine, and I think a lot of people now," the actor continued.

Uncrowned has WWE Sunday Night's Main Event live results, match updates, grades, highlights and start time for Sunday's event at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. For the first time ever, WWE shifts its classic Saturday Night's Main Event show to Sunday, giving it the appropriately and obviously named Sunday Night's Main Event.
The four — potentially five — match card features two heavyweight clashes. The main event is set to feature a rematch between WrestleMania 42 foes Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton. Orton returned last month at SummerSlam to attack Rhodes and cost him his match against CM Punk for the Undisputed WWE Championship. For the better part of two decades, Rhodes and Orton have been linked together as legacy (pun intended) WWE stars. Sunday marks the next chapter in their long-running story.
On the "Raw" side, two of WWE's brightest young talents meet as Oba Femi takes on Bron Breakker. Femi has been the undeniable breakout star of 2026 in WWE, having won the King of the Ring tournament and retiring Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam last month. Femi's rise has irked Breakker, which spawned this rivalry in recent weeks.
Much like the last SNME, back in July, there's a celebrity element to the show, as rapper Lil Yachty faces U.S. Champion Baron Corbin in a match that, if it lasts five minutes, will earn Trick Williams a ***** le shot later that night. Georgia-native Quavo is also advertised for the show.

"WWE SmackDown" is in Cleveland on this Friday, Sept. 4, headlined by a surprise CM Punk vs. Johnny Gargano world ****** le match. For Gargano, the match is his first since April. Follow tonight's "WWE SmackDown" live results and play-by-play of the action here.
Gargano has been sporadically planking ever since his longtime best frenemy, Tommaso Ciampa, left WWE for AEW in January. Then, in April, it became his entire gimmick, where he'd be seen exclusively in backstage segments with others speaking around him. Sami Zayn became the most prominent figure to console and relate to Gargano, seemingly setting up Gargano's eventual rise when Zayn became champion. Instead, Gargano gets a huge match in his home city. He and CM Punk have never wrestled each other before.
Tag-team action will also be on display in both the men's and women's divisions, starting with the WWE debut of Kyoki (formerly NJPW's Hiromu Takahashi). The ****** anese superstar debuts alongside Shinsuke Nakamura to form the Bakusai team and take on The Miz & Kit Wilson. WWE's roster is deeper than it has been in years, and the booking sheet coming out of SummerSlam shows it. CM Punk is carrying the Undisputed WWE Championship on SmackDown. Roman Reigns holds the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw. Solo Sikoa has become the most over act on either brand. Kevin Owens is back after 17 months away with a neck injury and already has an argument for another ***** le shot.
The problem sits on the other side of the card. Punk and Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam was a battle of a babyface against a babyface. Reigns and Seth Rollins were the same. Sikoa is a babyface, LA Knight is a babyface, and Randy Orton returned as a heel and got cheered anyway. Sami Zayn blasting both Punk and Owens with the ***** le belt in Toronto was the first real attempt to fix that.
So there are plenty of creative changes that can be made soon. With that in mind, we ask about five adjustments that should be considered. Each of these is a decision WWE could make on television inside the next few months. None of them require a signing, a trade, or a budget. They only require someone in the writers' room to pull the trigger.

Alexa Bliss pitched this pairing herself, and she has been open about why it works. Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bliss described the appeal of the run with Charlotte Flair as getting to see "both of us letting our guards down and having fun." Believe it or not, Soleil Moon Frye turned 50 on August 6, 2026. As one of the '80s stars who grew up to be gorgeous, Frye became a familiar face thanks to her role as Punky in "Punky Brewster," which aired from 1984 to 1988. "Punky is still such a huge part of my heart and soul," Frye told People in March 2021. "If I'm 88 and people still want to call me Punky, I'd be thrilled."
Although playing Punky may be the thing for which Frye is best known, over the years, she's appeared in other series, including "Saved by the Bell" and "Friends. She's also gotten married and had four kids (to no surprise, Soleil Moon Frye's daughters look so much like their famous mom). Frye has also had quite the style evolution since her days as Punky Brewster and being a teen star in the 1990s. "I immediately think of the scary clothes that I wore," Frye told Parade in August 2011 about her memories of that era. "Catsuits were big for me in the '90s, and I had many of them... WWE stays in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on this Friday — August 28 — for the latest "WWE SmackDown," following up last week's big CM Punk vs. Kevin Owens world ***** le match. After that match ended in shenanigans, the plan is to sort out the mess tonight.
Taking from SummerSlam Night 2, WWE is effectively running back its surprise Fatal 4-Way No. 1 contender match from that weekend — but as a triple threat, excluding Sami Zayn. After Zayn's complete breakdown that cost Owens the win last week, surely he'll play a part in tonight's match after being left out once again.
The rest of the lineup is all about the women's roster. Interim Women's Champion Chelsea Green is set to return to action after breaking her orbital bone the day after her ***** le win at SummerSlam. She'll team up with Tiffany Stratton to take on The Irresistible Forces.
Tatum Paxley will make her in-ring debut after her thrilling arrival on the main roster at the end of Charlotte Flair's match against Jade Cargill weeks ago. Gillian Anderson looked back on a rambunctious moment of her teenage years that resulted in an arrest.
The former X-Files actress revealed on the Monday (August 17) episode of podcast Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend that she was on crystal meth when she was arrested for breaking into her Grand Rapids, Michigan school back in 1986. Anderson would have been 17 years old at the time.
Anderson shared that around the time of the incident, she was in a "punk phase" and had on "pointy buckle boots" while breaking into her alma mater, City High-Middle School.
"So when the security guard was chasing me through downtown Grand Rapids, I stepped on a nail, and that's what slowed me down," she explained.

Good morning!
It's hard to believe four years had passed since I last saw Yard Act perform at the Black Cat. The post-punk Leeds outfit came out of the Covid-era with a banger of a debut album. It was clear that they had something to say.
The odd thing is that, in their third record, You're Gonna Need a Little Music, James Smith has a little bit of a different message: "I've done absolutely nothing since I last saw you four years ago / Ah, how you doing, yeah, I'm still chipping away / But I've got absolutely nothing / Absolutely nothing new to say"
This is the sort of imposter syndrome Yard Act tackle in their most recent project. The quartet are exploring new styles and adopting different references from disco house to Blur and Muse to create a far more varied sound.
That all creates for a deeper, richer backlog of tracks to dig into when they hit the stage. And, four years on from first seeing them, they returned to Black Cat with as much ferocity as ever.

Buccaneers offensive tackle Luke Goedeke got into a practice-field skirmish in a joint practice with the Jets today, and afterward he said he'll never back down to anyone.
Goedeke said the trouble began when Jets rookie David Bailey challenged him during a one-on-one drill, lost and shoved him.
"He called me out in one-on-ones and wanted to go against me and lost," Goedeke said of Bailey. "And then tried shoving me after that, and 52 [Kingsley Enagbare] I believe came from the side and just cheap-shotted me. That didn't start practice warm and fuzzy, that's for sure."
Goedeke grabbed a Jets player's helmet and threw it, which he admitted afterward was the kind of thing that would get him flagged in a game.
"Obviously not the greatest decision by me, but with that being said, I'm always going to defend my players and defend myself for that matter," Goedeke said. "I'm not gonna get punked and not do anything about it on the football field. That comes with the game, especially in joint practices, you see stuff like this all the time. You try to limit it and make sure it doesn't happen in a game. But I'm always going to stick up for my guys and stick up for myself, I don't care what happens."

Last week was busy for Veritas Capital.
On Thursday, the New York-based private equity firm, which makes investments in government-adjacent and regulated industries, agreed to acquire Texas-based Saber Power Services, marking its third acquisition announcement in less than a week.
Days earlier, it agreed to acquire federal contractor Steampunk and environmental consultancy Trinity Consultants, and submitted a 914 pence-per-share proposal for London-listed Bodycote, valuing the industrial services company's equity at about £1.56 billion ($2.1 billion).
The bid places Veritas in a takeover contest with CVC Capital Partners, which proposed 915 pence per share. The bidders face a Sept. 2 deadline.
This dealmaking spree followed Veritas's July agreement to buy facilities management and engineering business BGIS.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN. -- SummerSlam Sunday has ended, bringing the 2026 edition of the 'Biggest Party of the Summer' to a close. After an incredible night one, the WWE somehow matched its effort from a night ago and surpassed it in some regards.

Kevin Owens defeats Sami Zayn, Finn Balor and Gunther to become the No. 1 contender for the WWE Championship
After the amazing opening match between Iyo Sky and Liv Morgan last night, the WWE understood the ******* ignment for tonight's opener. It was supposed to be a singles match between Finn Balor and Sami Zayn, but right before the bell rang, reinstated SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced he'd be adding a competitor. It was Gunther, the man who defeated Aldis last night. Aldis then let Gunther enter the ring, before he announced one more addition to the match, a returning Kevin Owens. U.S. Bank Stadium absolutely erupted, as the crowd favorite was finally back after over 15 months of dealing with a neck injury.
That energy they gave KO remained for the entirety of this fun match. Owens came out of the gates hot, hitting swanton bombs all over the place, inside the ring and out. The match also saw the long awaited face-off between Sami and Owens who have a long history. The two hugged it out before mutually agreeing it was time to tear each other apart. Possibly the best spot of this match came when Gunther had Sami in the sleeper, and Finn Balor went up and simultaneously hit the Coup de Grace on Sami. Later, after giving stunners out to Balor and Gunther, Kevin and Sami battled it out one last time, when KO delivered a super kick, followed it up with a stunner, and pinned his best friend to earn the number one contendership, much to the delight of the crowd. Michael Cole said it best post match, "Welcome to the KO Show." The upcoming feud between him and CM Punk should be great.

Randy Orton made a shocking return to WWE SummerSlam 2026, hitting an RKO on Cody Rhodes before CM Punk was able to capitalize with a fifth GTS. Randy Orton as a heel will add some much-needed balance to the WWE roster, but Orton is a legend who was cheered upon his return and will be cheered as a heel.
Suddenly, WWE has a heel problem.
Cody Rhodes and CM Punk told a very good story in what is becoming a stale formula of babyfaces battling for world **** les in big matches. Rhodes faced WWE legend Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 Night 1, who was cheered so much as a babyface leading up to the event WWE paired him with Pat McAfee in a polarizing decision.
CM Punk returned to a rousing ovation in his hometown of Chicago to regain the WWE Championship with a win over Sami Zayn, who held the **** le for just nine days. Punk faced fellow babyface Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania Night 1, and Reigns will take on fellow babyface in the main event of SummerSlam Night 2.

It has everything you want in a SummerSlam main event: two of WWE's biggest stars, a strong story, and several believable directions depending on who leaves as champion. Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, on the other hand, feels like it's leaning heavily on Shield nostalgia. If we're being honest, we're right back to Reigns relying on Bloodline interference to keep the ****** le. At this point, it doesn't feel like Rollins has much of a chance to dethrone him.
