AI poster-child Nvidia (NVDA) has jumped 14% year to date, but the ride's been noticeably ******* py according to Seeking Alpha data.
The stock's down nearly 6% in just one week and around the same amount over the past month, a pullback that has coincided with fresh questions over whether the breakneck AI buildout could finally lose momentum.
Consequently, that debate followed calls from some of the biggest names in AI to slow the development of frontier models for safety reasons. But on his latest "Mad Money" broadcast from Dreamforce, veteran ******* yst Jim Cramer made clear he's viewing Nvidia stock through a very different lens.
That's not hard to fathom because Nvidia continues giving bulls ammunition. Fiscal Q2 revenue more than doubled to $96.2 billion, with its Data Center business reaching $89 billion, as it pushes deeper into enterprise AI, including Salesforce's (CRM) new Koa reasoning model built on Nvidia Nemotron.
Cramer's takeaway after a sit-down with CEO Jensen Huang was hardly cautious, though. Instead of treating the latest AI scare as a reason to jump in and out of Nvidia, he framed the stock as something investors need to hold through the noise instead of trade.

In late July 2026, Meta also announced a venture with BlackRock to develop a 1 gigawatt data center in El Paso, Texas. The plan is to keep going: management narrowed its 2026 capital-spending range by lifting the bottom of it.
Less cash is left over. TTM free-cash-flow margin is 18.0%, against 32.8% across its history, so on each dollar of sales Meta keeps a little more than half the free cash it used to.
Borrowing fills part of the gap. Debt has risen to 25.0% of total ******* ets, against a historical 7.0%, and the CFO says Meta is adding more debt to lower its cost of capital. Meta still holds more cash and marketable securities than debt.
Together, those three readings are the most unusual combination Meta has shown in 14 years. Taken with the 2026 spending floor that management has raised, the combination reads as a change in the business rather than one quarter of noise.

AI industry leaders got crushed. Perhaps the prospect of slowing frontier model development, as thrown out there by multiple leaders in the industry, has spooked the markets. Investors immediately figured that slower data-center CapEx and semiconductor demand would be part of that. It is a little overdone. It's just a few words, but it looks like the market is trying to turn things around.
Furthermore, you have to keep in mind that interest rates being higher than anticipated has been a bit of a drag.
NVIDIA looks slightly positive in early market trading, with the market trying to reach toward the 50-day EMA. Again, this is about anxiety, with AI capital expenditures being the immediate problem. After all, if fewer data centers were to be built, NVIDIA is directly hit.
The market is looking at this in more fear-than-fact-based terms because NVIDIA's actual business numbers remain extraordinarily strong. So really, rates and the fear of a slowdown are fighting the reality of growth and economic numbers in this company that remain truly envy-worthy of most others.

The Chicago White Sox are 76-73 entering play on Monday, September 14. They're just 0.5 games up on the Cleveland Guardians and fittingly begin a series against their division rivals in Cleveland to get the week started.
If they struggle during this series, not only could the White Sox lose their AL Central lead, but they might even drop out of the postseason field entirely. This is a pivotal series, and the end of the season is still very important to Chicago.
One AL scout told ESPN's Jesse Rogers that the White Sox can be a "sleeper" postseason team if two pitchers can perform at a high level.
"If the White Sox can get just a little starting pitching, they could still make some noise," an AL scout told Rogers. "They have a bullpen. That's always a need in the playoffs. And they can hit home runs. They just haven't lately. I like them as a sleeper, **** uming [Davis] Martin or [Sean] Burke are good."

ATLANTA − Tennessee football played its first road game of the season at Georgia Tech but it sure didn't look that way.
UT fans helped sell out Bobby Dodd Stadium as the No. 18 Vols (2-0) beat Georgia Tech 45-24 on Sept. 12. UT coach Josh Heupel noticed the support from the fans before he stepped on the field to play the Yellow Jackets (0-2).
"We leave our hotel and you see nothing but orange and white on our way here," Heupel said. "From older fans who have been here for a lot of generations to some younger ones who don't know how to tie their shoes yet, you walk into the stadium 60 minutes before kickoff and a majority of the crowd is Tennessee orange. It's pretty special."
Freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon, making the first road start of his college career, said UT fans gave him and his teammates a distinct advantage when operating the offense.
"It was a lot of orange," Brandon said. "It definitely made things easier. Wasn't too much noise. Definitely got a little rowdy sometimes, but seeing all the orange, it definitely made me proud."

AUSTIN, Texas — Hours before the out-of-nowhere comeback, before Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium pulsated with noise and shock, before the "SEC, SEC" chants spontaneously broke out over the din of elation and before thousands of forlorn Ohio State fans walked out into the night having that conversation about Ryan Day once again, a plume of burnt orange smoke seemed to linger over the field in the searing Texas heat.
It is a standard part of the pregame pyrotechnics here, but it was a particularly poignant image in the moments before a game like this one between two of college football's biggest brands and highest-ranked teams, with consequences that will take the rest of the season to figure out.
For 14 Saturdays of college football, we're all just waiting for the smoke to clear.
By the end of Texas 24, Ohio State 23, it was a beautiful picture but an incomplete one, made possible only by a regular season that feels increasingly under attack by the powers that be. Year by year, the coaches and administrators at the mega-programs become less interested in playing games like these because the stakes are so high. And yet, without those high stakes of a limited playoff structure where losing this kind of game can knock you out, what kind of sport are you left with?
"Hopefully it pays dividends for us in December," Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said late Saturday night. "But we have a lot more meat on the bone we have to chew off here before we can start worrying about whether this win helps us get into a playoff or not."

The Treasury Department's $6 billion bond buyback, an effort to stem rising yields, fell far short of expectations Thursday. The repurchase of government debt led to Treasury yields continuing to climb, with the 10-year note topping a three-year high. Potential home buyers and refinancers hoping for some mortgage rate relief instead saw rates creep toward, and in some reports, top 7%.
Yields were mixed Friday, with the 10-year Treasury remaining just below 5%.
In an interview Thursday evening with conservative strategist Steve Bannon on "War Room," Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent disputed the talk that the buyback program failed.
"This whole nonsense today that our operation didn't work — well, our operation didn't work, because we only had $10 billion of offers for our buyback program," Bessent said. "Normally, we get $20 billion, and we only buy the bonds back cheap. People seem to want to keep their long-term bonds, because we only had half as many offers. So, it's a bunch of noise, and in my career, I made money ignoring the noise."

Joe Root led England to a 3-0 Test series whitewash over Pakistan after scoring an unbeaten 62 in the third Test at Edgbaston. England were chasing 130 for victory but got off to a poor start. Ben Duckett was dismissed by Mohammad Abbas with the first ball of the innings, while opener Emilio Gay also fell later in the same over.

At 2 for 2, Pakistan had a chance to put England under pressure. But Root and Jordan **** remained calm and slowly took control of the chase.

It was the first time England had whitewashed Pakistan in a home Test series.

Root survived a big scare when Mohammad Ali bowled him for 23, only for the delivery to be called a no-ball. It was Ali's 17th no-ball of the series.

Pakistan then missed another opportunity when Root, on 38, edged Abbas between first and second slip. Neither fielder went for the catch.

Root made Pakistan pay for the missed chances. His unbeaten 62 was his 110th Test innings of 50 or more, a tally that includes 41 centuries.

Cox remained unbeaten on 59 as England reached the target in the 25th over with eight wickets in hand.
Pakistan had shown more fight in the third Test after conceding a huge 320-run first-innings deficit.

Root said the difficult chase was useful for England after Pakistan had put them under pressure.

"Fair play to Pakistan, ?they threw some punches last night. They made it very difficult for us and in some ways it's a good thing to go through that," said Root.

"Test cricket is not always going to go your own way but to see us actually be quite clinical with the bat off the back of that was good too. So ?in many ways we're better for it.

"Of course there's things we will want to improve on but we ?came into this ?series with a lot of question marks and a lot of noise around the team and we've walked away 3-0 winners so ?in that respect I'm quite ?pleased."
The series came after a difficult period for England, who had been looking to recover from their defeat to New Zealand following the Ashes loss.

Root's return to the captaincy after Ben Stokes' retirement from international cricket ended with a series whitewash.

Pakistan had one major positive in the third Test. Debutant Razaullah scored an impressive 81 off 63 **** , giving his team hope and bringing energy to the contest at Edgbaston.
England's fast bowlers were once again too strong for Pakistan on helpful surfaces.

Ollie Robinson led the attack and finished the series with 21 wickets to be named England's player of the series.

"I'm a realist, I know it's not always going to be like this," said Robinson, England's player of the series.

"We know there's ?going to be tougher times ahead. We have some tough opposition coming up and we're looking forward to the challenge."

Jofra Archer, Josh Tongue and Gus Atkinson also played important roles in England's dominant series win.

England's batting was less convincing, with no batter managing to score a century in the three Tests.

Preston North End manager Paul Heckingbottom spoke to BBC Radio Lancashire following Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Lincoln City.
"It was no surprise in terms of how difficult that game was and the pattern of the game. We are really frustrated that 90 per cent of the time their threats, because we limited the number of corners and set-plays, we did deal with them," he said.
"But it's ultimately their biggest weapon and while we are not getting in front, they are going to have their opportunities with counter-attacks and set-plays.
"The only way to stop that noise (sounds of boos from some fans) at the end of the game is to win games.
"There is no lack of effort, I get that, but we are not the ones forcing the big moments to go our way."

LSU football faces Louisiana Tech on Saturday night in what should be a tune-up game for the Tigers, though not much tuning is needed after LSU beat Clemson 51-10 in Week 1.

Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas — who lost the Lone Star State GOP attorney general primary runoff in May and will depart the U.S. House of Representatives when his current term expires — said Republicans have "delivered significantly" but "need to finish the job."

There is a lot of excitement, although Real Madrid themselves are far from enthused about the event, which will be taking place in close proximity to their Valdebebas training ground.
In the build-up to a match day, Real Madrid would ordinarily be training in front of the media, before Mourinho hosts his press conference at Valdebebas. However, this will not happen on Friday, with MD reporting that enforced changes have been made due to the Spanish Grand Prix taking place this weekend.
Real Madrid have already had to deal with noise from the Madring circuit as a result of testing being done in the lead-up to this weekend's Formula 1 Grand Prix, and they will have to withstand it again on Friday. However, the first 15 minutes of the session will be held behind closed doors, which is the first change that has been enforced upon the club.

We are only two days removed from Kentucky Football hosting the Alabama Crimson Tide as Will Stein tries to make some major noise in only his second game as head coach. The BBN is rocking, and many are believing an upset could happen at Kroger Field on Saturday. That will take a healthy roster, and fortunately for the Cats, it looks like they will have that.

An independent energy development company and a long-time manufacturer of wood products have signed an agreement to develop geothermal projects in Washington and Oregon.Hexagon Energy and Weyerhaeuser Co. on September 10 said they have closed a deal covering that could provide an estimated 3 GW of geothermal power generation capacity in the Pacific Northwest. The land is part of Weyerhaeuser's portfolio of holdings. The first full weekend of college football is behind us and, man, there's a lot to unpack. There weren't many marquee games (one to be exact) but we learned a little bit. The off season noise seems to be just that, noise. Are there already coaches on the hotseat? Definitely. A conference has some explaining to do. Finally, look at all those quarterbacks. The draft next year will be historic.

They were already dominating the news cycle but LSU threw a fastball to the ear flap of college football Saturday night. Lawsuits, injunctions, talk of expulsion all went by the wayside. As if all that wasn't enough, Mother Nature decided to prolong the mess with a two-hour weather delay. No matter, Lane Kiffin had the most prepared team in the country. Say what you will about Kiffin (and you can say plenty). He's smug, petty and can't resist poking anyone, anytime. He can also coach the ****** out of a football team and Saturday was Exhibit A. LSU made Clemson look absolutely inferior for 60 minutes, racking up 644 yards making everyone embarrassed for the ACC Tigers.
LSU was crisp, efficient, disciplined and out to make a point. They'll only get better. Sam Leavitt was the weak spot if you want to call it that. Jobson told ***** o! that the Waleses are on a "clear path" and are "thinking about what their future is going to be." The royal expert further explained that William and Kate are "focused" on their children and various projects, adding that they are following a "steady path" toward the throne.
According to Jobson, the Waleses understand that they are next in line and are preparing for the responsibility that comes with it. "William will take the lead, but it's going to be a team effort," he added. As a result, the royal expert believes William and Kate are choosing to stay away from Harry and Meghan while concentrating on their family, personal lives, and future roles within the monarchy.
Jobson shared: "I don't think that, because Harry and Meghan are here making a bit of noise, that's going to necessarily make them do anything. They'll probably think, well, we've been down this road before; it creates a circus, and we're not going to get involved."

In the span of just nine months, two University of Utah football players died. Ty Jordan, a freshman running back, died from an accidental shooting on Christmas night in 2020. Nine months later, sophomore cornerback Aaron Lowe, who was friends with Jordan and changed his number to Jordan's No. 22 for the upcoming season, was shot and killed at a party in September 2021.

BYU coach Kalani Sitake gave a shoutout to the fans following the Cougars' season-opening 63-7 win over Utah Tech late Saturday night.
Even with BYU taking on an FCS opponent, Sitake was impressed not just with his team's play, but with the fan support in the home opener at LaVell Edwards Stadium.
He believes it set an impressive standard for players who transferred in from other schools, in their first experience playing at home in Provo.
"Really proud of the team, proud of the way the guys played, proud of the energy that we had. And just want to tell all the fans, thank you so much for your energy. They stayed here till the very end. The ROC (BYU's student section) was here the whole entire time," Sitake said.
"(That) impressed a lot of our players that came from the portal, been other places. They couldn't believe the support that the fans had for the team and the energy — made a lot of noise. And you know, we're going to need them next week (vs. Arizona). It's going to be a lot of fun, but we need them all year long."

Cloudflare's model starts at the network and developer edge. That distribution creates a credible cross-sell path because customers already use Cloudflare for performance and security. Insider Monkey counted 87 hedge funds holding NET at June 30, versus 84 at March 31. AQR Capital Management owned 2,076,835 shares after raising its position by 129%.
The weakness is monetization. Early access is not general availability, and subsidized services can prove usefulness before they prove willingness to pay. Naomi Osaka had her first round match at the US Open interrupted by influencers in the crowd. The tournament has seen an influx of influencers this year and the reaction has not been mixed as people just seem generally annoyed by their disruptions.
Osaka was asked about the influencers during a press conference following her round two victory. She noted that the umpire had "told everyone to be quiet more than I've ever heard an umpire tell a crowd to be quiet." And in her first round match she mostly ignored the noise, but there was a moment when people were shouting.
Osaka was diplomatic, pointing out that they could help grow the game, but wished they better followed the etiquette of the sport.
