West Ham United and Northern Ireland striker Callum Marshall has joined League One club Luton Town for an undisclosed fee.
Luton said the 21-year-old has agreed a "long-term" contract.
Marshall made three first-team appearances for West Ham after signing from Linfield in January 2022 and was part of the squad that won the FA Youth Cup in 2023.
He spent the 2024-25 season playing in League One for Huddersfield Town, scoring 10 goals during a loan spell, and ended last season in Germany on loan at Bochum.
Luton boss Jack Wilshere told the club website: "From the first moment I met Callum, I knew how hungry he was for success.

Auburn defensive lineman Saint Farrior shares a similar story to fellow lineman Cody Sigler. Like Sigler, Farrior received little attention during the high school recruiting process, transferred to a Sun Belt program after originally signing with a lower-level program, and made his way to Auburn as an upperclassman.
Farrior joins Auburn's roster after spending last season at Appalachian State, and the two years prior at Hampton. He played in just 173 snaps over 14 games in his two seasons with Hampton before trying his luck with another program. Tobacco Road, built by the late Mike Strantz and one of the most dramatically shaped golf courses found anywhere, has a new sibling. The Matchbox – a 12-hole, par-3 course that embraces the ethos established by Strantz on the property near Pinehurst – opens August 1 in Sanford, North Carolina.
The new short course is the result of a partnership between Carlton/Marshall Golf Design and Mike White, one of the shapers who worked for Strantz on the full-size Tobacco Road layout that opened in 1998 in the Sandhills.
"There's a direct line from our past to the present – and we believe The Matchbox will become a must-play experience in its own right," Mark Stewart, whose family opened Tobacco Road, said in a media release announcing the opening of The Matchbox.
The Matchbox was constructed in just six months near Nos. 12 and 13 of the big course. Holes range from 40 to 105 yards and feature synthetic turf blended into the natural landscape, a choice that allowed the builders to preserve more trees instead of clearing room for grass to grow. The choice of synthetic turf also avoided the installation of irrigation.
Guests can book tee times from the opening date through December.

FC Bayern Women kicked off 2026/27 pre-season with a 4-1 victory over RB Ōmiya Ardija at the NACK5 Stadium in Tokyo as part of their Allianz Women's Tour. Pernille Harder and Jovana ******* janović gave Germany's double winners the advantage in the first half, before Katharina Naschenweng added a third in the second period. Minami Munakata's header earned the hosts a consolation before Alara's penalty in added time wrapped things up in ******* an. Sarah Mattner, Kassandra Potsi, Ella Rauscha and Regina van Eijk all made their debuts for Bayern during the game.
Bayern got off to the better start in their first game of the new season in hot summer temperatures. José Barcala's side controlled proceedings before Momoko Tanikawa dribbled her way through the home defence and looked for Harder, who couldn't make the chance count. The Dane made no mistake at a corner a minute later as she was found at the far post and pounced on the bouncing ball to open the scoring.
Damnjanović had a great opportunity to double the lead after 19 minutes when played clean through by Harder, but she was unable to beat goalkeeper Yuria Ito. Klara Bühl got into the action when she struck the crossbar with a shot from the edge of the box.
Bayern remained on the front foot but Ōmiya had some promising moments, mainly through Hanon Nishio's three efforts off target. The Munich Frauen finally stretched their lead on the stroke of half-time when Tanikawa found ******* janović to finish at the far post.
Barcala made some changes for the second half but it didn't change the pattern of play. Nishio remained a lively outlet for Ōmiya, but she was well marshalled by captain Glódis Viggósdóttir and the defence. A Bühl corner was met by the head of Magdalena Eriksson but failed to hit the target, before Tanikawa won a free-kick on the edge of the penalty area but couldn't beat the jumping wall.

The 2026 Shriners Children's East-West Bowl released its watch list on Thursday. The list contains six returning Huskers and five Nebraska transfers.
Returning Huskers to make the list included wide receiver Nyziah Hunter, tight end Luke Lindenmeyer, edge rusher Williams Nwaneri, defensive back Andrew Marshall, and offensive linemen Justin Evans and Elijah Pritchett. Transfers include quarterback Anthony Colandrea, edge rusher Anthony Jones Jr., defensive back Dwayne McDougle III and offensive linemen Brendan Black and Paul Mubenga.
Colandrea is the standout, playing in 33 games in his career with 31 starts at quarterback. The 2025 Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year across three seasons completed 627-of-983 passes for 7,542 yards and 49 touchdowns. He also had 328 carries for 1,151 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Jones Jr. played one season each at Oregon, Indiana, Michigan State and UCLA before transferring to Nebraska. Jones has played in 37 games, totaling 58 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and one pass breakup. McDougle III followed new defensive coordinator Rob Aurich from San Diego State.
McDougle III played in 40 games across four seasons and recorded 143 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss, six interceptions, 12 pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. Black and Mubenga combined for 56 games and 41 starts. Black played in 36 games across three seasons at Iowa State. Mubenga also played for three seasons, taking part in 20 games at LSU.

Larry Williams' announcement of his retirement as track coach has echoes of the time he was hired.
Back in the 1970s and early 1980s, Hall of Fame coaches John McNichols and Marshall Goss ran Bloomington's boys track/cross country programs before turning them over to a pair of future Hall of Famers in Larry Williams and Charlie Warthan.
Some four decades later, Warthan is leaving North, and Williams, 64, is now 66.7% retired, deciding to give up teaching a few years back and now stepping away as South's head boys track coach after 44 years while retaining his spot in charge of the boys cross country team. It's time for the next generation to step up.
"I've been thinking all throughout the season," Williams said. "It was time. A lot of things with it, including going in more and more stressed than I wanted to be.
"I still love it, but we had nearly 100 boys, and there's only 16 events. I laughed that this year I was going to start using Medicare and Social Security and just became a grandfather. That put some things in perspective. Cross country also takes a lot of time, but you're coaching everyone to the same event instead of workouts for multiple events."

Five-time Commonwealth champion bowler Alex Marshall and two-time judo champion Sarah Adlington will be Scotland's flagbearers at Thursday's Commonwealth Games opening ceremony in Glasgow.
With five golds, one silver and one bronze, Marshall is Scotland's most successful athlete at the Commonwealth Games while Adlington is chasing an unprecedented third judo gold at the Games.
England's flagbearers will be Sian Honnor, a four-time medalist in bowls, and swimmer Luke Greenbank.

The annual George Street Bike Challenge for Major Taylor will take place on Sunday, July 26, with participants tackling one of Worcester's steepest streets.
George Street, with an 18% grade from Main Street to Harvard Street, has long been a challenge for bicyclists, dating to the 1890s when a young Marshall "Major" Taylor, a future world champion, held training sessions on the 500-foot incline.
Riders climb the hill alone, racing against the clock. The course record is 22.19 seconds, held by Scott Smith, the 2012 winner.
The first rider pedals from the starting line at 10 a.m. Spectators are encouraged to watch from each side of George Street.

Last year's Georgia team was brutally flawed in several key ways.
It was too inexperienced, the defense couldn't rush the passer, there weren't enough downfield shots, and to be totally honest, it's not like it dealt with a tough Big Ten-level schedule.
Including the playoff, it played all SEC teams, Marshall, and Austin Peay. The only Power Four non-conference game was Georgia Tech, and that was a 16-9 fight of a victory.
And even with all of the problems, and all the inconsistencies, that team not only gut-checked its way to thrilling wins over Tennessee, Ole Miss, Florida, and Georgia Tech.
It totally dominated Bama in the SEC Championship, rolled at will over Texas, and it got a prime spot in the playoff - it came super-close to being 14-0 and on the way to deal with Miami.
And that was in a relatively just-okay season under Smart.
The defense is about to be a destructive force, the offense will pound away like it did last year, and there should be more consistency to it all.
There will be plenty of preseason hype around Texas - and rightly so. Alabama is good, LSU is a burgeoning monster, Oklahoma is great, and it's still the SEC. (These things go in cycles.)
Georgia is the SEC standard-bearer, but it has to be even better.

Jul. 15—Few people brought as much joy and happiness to those around him as did Noah Boler-Kyle.
"Whenever he walked in a room his smile would instantly light it up," former Decatur Heritage basketball coach and Noah's adopted father Tommy Kyle said. "He made everyone happy."
That sentiment seems to be held by everyone who knew him.
"He was always bigger than the room," said Jason Marshall, Noah's basketball coach at Decatur Heritage. "He was so charismatic, so funny and just treated people so well. People were drawn to him and he was always smiling."
Tragically, that smile was taken away over the weekend when Boler-Kyle died after suffering respiratory arrest due to a severe asthma attack. The former Decatur Daily basketball Player of the Year was 25 years old.

The Miami Dolphins underwent a major roster overhaul this offseason as the new regime prioritized youth and scheme-fit players. By moving on from veterans with expensive contracts, the front office has successfully addressed long-term salary cap concerns, positioning the team for greater financial flexibility in what will hopefully be a future championship window. For this strategy to succeed, however, the team’s young core must evolve and produce the breakout seasons necessary to turn potential into consistent, competitive performance. Below are some of the so-called defensive “breakout candidates” for this coming season:
Jason Marshall, Jr. (Cornerback): Most of the media and fan focus will be on first-rounder Chris Johnson, but Marshall has shown in offseason camps that he has the talent to start opposite Johnson on opening day. Hopefully, Jason will avoid the injuries that slowed his rookie year and excel in Jeff Hafley’s zone-focused defense.
Chop Robinson (Edge Rusher): Arriving in South Florida as a first-round pick, Chop carried significant expectations. While his performance fluctuated during his rookie campaign, he showed flashes of potential late last season. Following an impressive spring and a transition to a defensive scheme that better aligns with his skill set, the team is optimistic that he will evolve into an every-down playmaker capable of consistently delivering double-digit sacks.

Cynt Marshall has lived a life full of firsts.
She was the first Black cheerleader in the history of UC Berkeley before a 36-year tenure as a trailblazing executive at AT&T, where she rose to the ranks of senior vice president of human resources and chief diversity officer. When the Dallas Mavericks were rocked by a shocking 2018 scandal surrounding a decadeslong toxic work environment that included allegations of ******* ual harassment and domestic violence, Mark Cuban brought Marshall in to change the culture and right the ship. The Bay Area native became the NBA’s first female Black CEO.
So when Lyda Hill Philanthropies set out to commission and install 26 3D-printed life-sized lime green statues at Dallas’ FIFA fan festival at Fair Park during the World Cup, Marshall’s inclusion was a no-brainer as someone who has impacted the business of sports through creating more inclusive, people-first organizations.
The exhibit, ******* led #IfThenSheCan — Game Changers, highlights leaders in STEM who are transforming the game behind the scenes and championing the next generation of athletes, scientists, educators and leaders. Nick Dawkins was a three-star recruit when he joined Penn State’s 2020 recruiting class. He did not crack the starting lineup until 2024, but his impact was immediately felt on the offensive line. Dawkins earned All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2024 and won the Wuerffel Trophy for his leadership off the field. He was again named a team captain in 2025 and remained a key piece on the offensive line.
Dawkins did not hear his name called in the 2026 NFL Draft, but he signed on with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent. He will join former teammate Vega Ioane in Baltimore and compete for a spot on the Ravens’ 53-man roster in the fall.

This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke with Pro Football Hall of Famer and Chicago Bears legend Brian Urlacher.
In his interview with Easton Jr., Urlacher discusses his participation in this year's American Century Championship, which will take place July 10-12 at Edgewood Tahoe and air on NBC and Peacock. He discussed that Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton deserves more respect as one of the best at his position in the league.
"They're (MLB players) always so much better than we (NFL players) are (at the American Century Championship). I mean, we have Tony Romo, Marshall Faulk, who is really good for us, but they have Derek Lowe and Mark Mulder, who are just as good," said Urlacher. "They have so many good players; it's frustrating Kevin Millar is also good; they're just stacked with talent."
Urlacher is considered one of the greatest linebackers to play the game, earning numerous accolades throughout his career. He praises several of today's stars, including Chiefs linebacker Nick Bolton.
"Man, that dude (Nick Bolton) gets it. He's very overlooked, but Fred Warner is great, but Bolton, maybe just because all the players on that team, he doesn't get the (same) respect," said Urlacher, "Chris Jones up front, and George Karlaftis, those guys up front, and they had the secondary guys, they were good. Nick Bolton does not get a lot of national exposure, and he should, because he makes a lot of plays."

Michael Irvin has never called a baseball game in his life, but he’s found his way into Netflix’s Home Run Derby coverage anyway.
Irvin told On3 he’ll be at Citizens Bank Park on July 13, and to be clear, he’s not there to break down swing mechanics or tell you why Junior Caminero has more pop than his listed exit velocity suggests.
“I’m so looking forward to going out and being around and showcasing the Home Run Derby for Netflix and interviewing guys to bring them on my White House show and everything,” Irvin said. “I know it’s in Philadelphia, so I’ve got to walk amongst them, but I’m willing. I’m willing. Let them know, I come in peace.”
Irvin has been one of Netflix’s most prominent sports personalities since the platform launched The White House in January — Netflix’s first original sports podcast — which Irvin co-hosts with Brandon Marshall twice weekly. The name comes from the legendary party house near the Cowboys’ practice facility during the 1990s dynasty. Irvin called himself “the president of the White House” in Netflix’s “America’s Team: The Gambler and His Cowboys” docuseries. Kimi Antonelli fought back to claim victory in the British Grand Prix sprint race to extend his lead over George Russell and Lewis Hamilton on the drivers’ championship.
Hamilton started the race on pole position and held the Mercedes of Antonelli at bay through the opening lap with the other cars scrapping for position behind them.
Antonelli stuck with Hamilton for eight laps before making his move on the Hanger straight and weaving past the Ferrari to take control of the race.
Hamilton had to marshall his battery power and couldn’t launch a counter attack to recover the lead and claim victory. That ensured Antonelli won a sprint race for the very first time and takes a 43 point lead into Sunday’s Grand Prix.

The return of Penn State football is a little more than two months away from happening as the Lions will open at home against Marshall in 65 days.
Wearing No. 65 for the home team this year will be redshirt senior Jim Fitzgerald, who has played in three games over the course of his time in Happy Valley.
Back in 2022, as a freshman with Penn State on its way to the Rose Bowl, Fitzgerald saw snaps in a couple of late season wins as the Lions were dealing with major injuries on the offensive line.
Since then, the Maryland native has appeared in one game – last season – for Penn State.
He figures to be a depth piece on this year’s rebuilt offensive line.

DJ Moore hasn’t caught his first pass in a Buffalo Bills uniform, but he’s already figuring out one of the quickest ways to become a fan favorite in Buffalo.
According to a news report from WKBW, Moore recently stopped by Tee Shirt University at the Walden Galleria while shopping with his family. After spotting a display of Bills T-shirts with his name and number, he asked how much it would cost to buy them all.
The answer? About $1,200 for all 27 shirts.
Without hesitation, Moore bought every one of them and told the store to give them away to fans for free.
Assistant manager Scott Marshall told WKBW that Moore kept the interaction lighthearted, even joking that he “worked for” DJ Moore before revealing it really was him. As he walked out, Moore stuck his head back into the store and simply said, “Yeah, it’s me.”

It is the latest example of how the often divisive American president is helping to draw Europe closer together.
European leaders are finding more reasons to coordinate on defense, tariffs and foreign policy as they confront wars in Ukraine and Iran, a ballooning trade deficit with China, and threats from Russia. That leaves Trump, who has often preferred to negotiate with European countries individually, with less ability to do so, ****** ysts say.
"Most of the mainstream leaders realize that Europe is getting squeezed between China and America, and so, if not now, then when?" said Sudha David-Wilp, vice president at the German Marshall Fund. "They need to act as a bloc in order to maintain Europe's place in the world."

SACRAMENTO — Milestones have become commonplace during this era of Dodgers baseball, but Tuesday night delivered one that placed Dave Roberts in a class of his own.
Behind a career performance from Justin Wrobleski and a breakout night from Tommy Edman, the Dodgers cruised to a 9-3 victory over the Athletics at Sutter Health Park, giving Roberts the 1,000th managerial victory of his career.
The Dodgers improved to 56-30, extending their lead over the Padres to 12 games atop the National League West while continuing to separate themselves as baseball's most complete club.
For Roberts, the win was historic.
