The SEC has announced kickoff times for Week 4 games across the conference. The Georgia Bulldogs' highly anticipated home game against the Oklahoma Sooners on Sept. 26 will be at 3:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on ABC or ESPN.
The TV channel for the Georgia-Oklahoma game will be determined after Week 3 games are played on Sept. 19. The other game that could be aired at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC or ESPN is the Ole Miss versus Florida game.

Seriously, now what? How will the AP Top 25 voters pick their teams this week after making a statement by leaving Michigan out last week, and with Oregon losing to Oklahoma State, and after Texas made its big comeback win over Ohio State?
After one of the most interesting Week 2 weekends in a long time, there should be plenty of movement, and we try to predict what the voters will do.

What a difference a week makes.
Michigan opened the Kyle Whittingham Era last week needing some game-clock malpractice and a Hail Mary to survive against Western Michigan.
Seven days later, the Wolverines put together a nasty defensive effort, overcome a host of costly penalties and roll to a 17-10 win over No. 11 Oklahoma in the Big House.
Remember when Whittingham unintentionally made a stir by questioning QB Bryce Underwood's status as the starter last week? Well, he made sure to clear the air after Underwood — mostly with his feet — helped Michigan beat OU.
"Bryce is our quarterback," he said.

The Oklahoma Sooners dropped to 1-1 in the 2026 season after a 17-10 loss on the road against the Michigan Wolverines. OU failed their first test of the season and played poor, sloppy football in a bad loss.
Expectations were sky-high entering the season, but just two games into Year 5 under head coach Brent Venables, the Sooners saw their season crumble in Ann Arbor. All of the offseason talk and hype that surrounded Oklahoma fell flat in the Big House.
Firstly, though the defense was much better in the second half, the Sooners did not look like a Venables-led defense in the first half. After riding the defense to 10 wins and a spot in the College Football Playoff last season, this year's defense isn't nearly as good, at least not yet. In addition to a loss on their record, the OU defense will also be without their heart and soul for a large chunk of time, as linebacker Kip Lewis was injured in the loss.
Despite only giving up 17 total points, Oklahoma's defense tackled poorly, didn't force any turnovers, and was outflanked often in the first half. The second half was far better on that side of the ball, but the Sooners still lost because of their anemic offense.
All offseason, the Sooners talked about being better at running the ball and more committed to it. That lasted one game, as Oklahoma actually looked worse on offense on Saturday than they did last year. They abandoned the running backs in the running game, and the multiple-look structure-wise largely went out the window.

Michigan and Oklahoma produced plenty of serious football Saturday afternoon. Somehow, one of the most memorable sequences involved a guy who never played a snap.
During Michigan's 17-10 victory over No. 11 Oklahoma, Wolverines linebacker Troy Bowles recovered a second-quarter fumble and headed toward the Michigan sideline with the football. An Oklahoma ball boy apparently had one objective: get that ball back.
The resulting pursuit quickly became one of the game's viral moments.

The Oklahoma Sooners lost one of their very best players to injury on Saturday in their 17-10 loss against the Michigan Wolverines. In the game's first quarter, star fifth-year linebacker Kip Lewis injured his right knee, initially returning to the game with a brace on. However, he quickly exited again, and was in the sideline in street clothes for the remainder of the contest.
After the game, head coach Brent Venables gave a quick update on Lewis' status, which wasn't a positive one for the Sooners.
"He'll miss some time," Venables said.
OU struggled mightily on defense in the first half, at least relative to their standards in Norman. However, the second half was better. The Sooners gave up just seven points when they were backed up following an interception from quarterback John Mateer.

For the second straight week, Aday Mara was in-person at Oklahoma's college football game. But for reasons that the football-crazy fanbase wants to know. The 7-foot-3 center made the trip to Michigan to cheer for his Wolverines and celebrate his collegiate year there.
Mara attended No. 11 Oklahoma's shocking 17-10 loss to Michigan on Saturday. At halftime, the Wolverines' men's basketball team was honored. They had a dominant 37-3 record and brought home the 2026 national championship. Alongside Yaxel Lendeborg and Morez Johnson Jr., Mara was part of a monstrous three-headed frontcourt.
Mara's decision to transfer to Michigan was life-altering. He became a household name and eventually the No. 12 pick of the 2026 NBA draft. He averaged 12.1 points on 66.8% shooting, 6.8 rebounds, 2.4 ***** ists and 2.6 blocks in his sole collegiate season there.
The Oklahoma City Thunder hope Mara can have a similar type of impact at the NBA level. The 21-year-old is one of the tallest players in the league already. Because of that, he should be a constant paint-scoring threat and be one of the best shot-blockers.
Now, the conditioning and shooting are the main areas of concern. The Thunder hope he can improve both aspects in his rookie season. In an ideal world, he won't be relied upon to help from the jump. Rather, spend the year working on his craft in low-leverage situations.

A week after one of the most incredulous endings in recent college football history, the Wolverines' defense again starred as Michigan upset No. 11 Oklahoma 17-10 in Ann Arbor. With an offense stalled out for much of the second half, Michigan's go-ahead score came courtesy of a short field.

The Sooners won the game in Norman a year ago behind a big game from John Mateer. In a 24-13 win in primetime, Mateer threw for 270 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He also carried the ball 19 times for 74 yards and two touchdowns. The Sooners were up 14-0 at halftime before a 75-yard touchdown run from Justice Haynes on the first play from scrimmage of the second half cut the lead to 14-7.
Mateer and the Sooners made it 21-7 with 10 minutes to go in the third, and the defense stifled Bryce Underwood and the Wolverines to earn the 24-13 win. Oklahoma held Underwood to 9 of 24 for 142 yards passing and three carries for minus-1 yard rushing. Outside of the 75-yard run, Oklahoma held the Wolverines to just 2.29 yards per carry.
Oklahoma is expected to have a better offense than the one that beat the Wolverines in 2025. If the Sooners can get a similar defensive effort against a team that struggled to move the ball on the MAC's Western Michigan, it should be a good day for the boys in the crimson and cream.

Sep. 11—CHAMPAIGN — The fallout from the Michigan-Western Michigan fiasco includes the Big Ten's decision to add more transparency to replay discussions.
That's a change from the earlier, when the Big Ten said it would use expanded network access on replay only for Friday games.
Now, starting Saturday, all replay reviews will be available to the networks airing the games. Duh. The Big Ten could have saved itself all sorts of trouble had replay rules been different at Michigan Stadium last Saturday night before the Wolverines avoided an upset loss, winning 13-12 on a second-chance Hail Mary.

Michigan defensive end Dom Nichols understands exactly what John Mateer can do when a pass rush loses containment.
He saw it last September.
Mateer threw for 270 yards and added 74 more on the ground while accounting for three touchdowns in Oklahoma's 24-13 victory over Michigan. The Wolverines will get another shot at the Sooners on Saturday, and Nichols is not being subtle about what he expects when Mateer tries to escape the pocket this time.

The Oklahoma Sooners hit the road for the first time in 2026 on Saturday afternoon. OU heads to Ann Arbor to take on the Michigan Wolverines in the Big House in Week 2.
Michigan went 9-4 last year, but the Wolverines have changed a lot since then. Former head coach Sherrone Moore was fired at the end of the regular season, with Biff Poggi serving as the interim head coach. Michigan hired former Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham as the new head man on December 26th.
Whittingham coached Utah from 2005 to 2025, posting a 177-88 record as the head man of the Utes. His teams won three conference ****** les and played in three more conference ****** le games. Michigan's AP Top 25 stay lasted exactly one week.
The Wolverines opened the season at No. 16 in both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll. In the polls released Tuesday, Michigan is out of the AP Top 25 entirely, sitting among the others receiving votes with 69 points, and has slid to No. 24 in the Coaches Poll.
The reason is not complicated. Saturday night, Sept. 5, Michigan escaped the Big House by the narrowest of margins against Western Michigan, 13-12, on a 47-yard Hail Mary with one second left. The Wolverines were 27.5-point favorites.
Bryce Underwood struggled mightily as Michigan's quarterback. Outside of an efficient opening drive and the second Hail Mary heave, hauled in by J.J. Buchanan after the first one was ruled dead with a second left on the clock, the second-year quarterback did not look the part against a team he was supposed to overwhelm. It's unlikely that talk of Saturday night's explosively controversial final moments during Michigan versus Western Michigan will die down anytime soon. Nearly 24 hours later, however, NBC has finally offered an official statement on the controversial moment.
In the final seconds of Saturday night's tilt between Michigan and Western Michigan, quarterback Bryce Underwood's Hail Mary heave fell incomplete as the Wolverines looked to avoid a devastating upset in their first game of the season. While it looked as if Western Michigan was set to complete the upset, as the clock hit zero before the ball hit a player on the failed try, the referees ended up adding a second to the clock to allow Michigan one last attempt. Underwood ended up connecting with JJ Buchanan on the final Hail Mary try as Michigan walked off their opponents 13-12.
According to a statement and footage from the Big Ten released on Sunday, "Western Michigan's #18 started his jump from an established out-of-bounds position (left foot) and made contact with the ball with one second remaining on the clock". In the final seconds of Saturday night's tilt between Michigan and Western Michigan, quarterback Bryce Underwood's Hail Mary heave fell incomplete as the Wolverines looked to avoid a devastating upset in their first game of the season. While it looked as if Western Michigan was set to complete the upset, as the clock hit zero before the ball hit a player on the failed try, the referees ended up adding a second to the clock to allow Michigan one last attempt. Underwood ended up connecting with JJ Buchanan on the final Hail Mary try as Michigan walked off their opponents 13-12.
According to a statement and footage from the Big Ten released on Sunday, "Western Michigan's #18 started his jump from an established out-of-bounds position (left foot) and made contact with the ball with one second remaining on the clock". That footage contradicts what the stadium's clock and NBC's broadcast clock stated as the play ended, causing immense confusion amongst college football fans as the dust continues to settle on this controversial moment.
