All of a sudden, that 24-team College Football Playoff format might be front and center for an SEC dreaming of getting five, six, ten of its members into the postseason tournament.

Yes, the CFP is supposed to use a new metric – which is really a twist on what it already utilizes – that gives more respect to the strengths of schedules. That's supposed to boost the SEC – give, say, 2025 Texas credit for losing at Ohio State, even though it went 9-3 – but there are two issues with that, at least when it comes to what we're projecting below.

First, the College Football Playoff always falls back on record ranking. If there's a debate in the Grapevine meeting room – it's nice; the food is tremendous – 10-2 is a lot easier to sell than 9-3, which is why we haven't seen Power Four programs with three pre-conference championship losses leapfrog those with two or fewer.

And second, even though the upsets are coming – last Saturday probably wasn't an outlier – there's no way, no how, no chance the committee will put in a 9-3 power conference team in over an 11-1 Power Four program.

That's where the SEC comes in. A few weeks ago, it looked like the conference would own the CFP. And then Florida started losing. So did LSU, Mississippi State, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. Now, as we're doing this just past the midway point in the season, there are just four SEC teams left – Georgia, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee – with fewer than two losses, and all of them have one.

So how many SEC teams will make the College Football Playoff? Our best guess is three, and it'll take a shoehorn to make that happen. (By the way, we're still bullish on Kentucky, but we're predicting a few close losses over the next few weeks.)

This will likely be a big debate if Boise State keeps on rolling and goes 12-1 with a Pac-12 **** le, with its only loss coming to Oregon in the season opener. James Madison won't have any Power Four wins – last year's team didn't either – but if it's 13-0, it'll be tough to leave out.

Here's where the strength of schedule emphasis kicks in. The call is that the committee would rank a three-loss LSU over a Big 12 or ACC team – it's my favorite CFP line, because I swear I've seen a little box behind glass that the committee goes to when it's in a pinch that says – … because it's Alabama.

Justin Bieber is sharing another rare glimpse of his baby boy.
The "Daisies" singer, 32, brought fans along for a recent family outing with his wife, Hailey Bieber, featuring two sweet (albeit faceless) cameos from their 2-year-old son, Jack Blues. Bieber took to Instagram on Oct. 3 with a carousel of photos showing him and the toddler visiting some furry friends during their outdoor adventure.
In one photo, baby Jack holds his dad's hand while hanging out with kangaroos; another shows him reaching to offer a leafy snack to a giraffe with his runway-star mom, 29.
The two-time Grammy winner wore a white T-shirt, camouflage bucket hat and dark sunglasses for their family time, with the toddler sporting a white tank top and white-striped green track pants.

Andre Agassi shared two gorgeous new pictures of daughter Jaz on October 3 to celebrate her 23rd birthday. But alongside the birthday wishes from famous friends and followers, the comments all discussed one thing – how Jaz is the spitting image of her mom, Steffi Graf.

Ryan Seacrest doesn't get many days off, but when he does, he knows how to make the most of them. The Wheel of Fortune and American Idol host, 51, recently gave fans a glimpse of his day away from work. Fans had plenty to say about his shirtless photos, which immediately grabbed their attention.
On October 3, Seacrest took to Instagram and Facebook to share a recent outing. With the Kid Cudi song "Day 'N' Nite" playing, Seacrest first shared a photo showing him shirtless with his face tilted up to the sun.
He wore black shorts and sunglasses as he sat atop a bike while out on a trail. In the caption, he wrote, "This is what a day off looks like from start to finish. Go dawgs Georgia Football."
On Instagram, the shirtless shot that showed off his incredibly fit physique came first, and a short video was shared on the second slide. It seems the shirtless bike ride was how Seacrest started off his day.
The video showed Seacrest still with his bike, shirtless, but it was dark. He seemed to be in the same general area outdoors, but in this case, he was looking out at the moon shining brightly in the nighttime sky.
