Genoa and Brighton have reached an agreement over a loan move for Evan Ferguson, with the Republic of Ireland striker set for a return to Serie A.
According to Sky Sport, the deal will see Ferguson join on loan with Brighton covering 30% of his wages, and he isn't expected to be available until early October.

DAKAR, Senegal (AP) — Senegal hired Patrick Vieira as its new coach on Tuesday to replace Pape Thiaw, who was fired after the team was eliminated from the World Cup in the round of 32.
Senegal announced the news in a post on Instagram, without giving any details of the length of the 50-year-old Vieira's contract.
Vieira won the World Cup with France as a player during a glittering club career with Inter and AC Milan, ******* nal and Manchester City.
His coaching career has not been anywhere near as successful, however.
Vieira has previously coached New York City FC, Nice, Crystal Palace and Strasbourg. His last job was in charge of Genoa, but — despite an initially positive start — he was fired after less than a year with the team in last place in Serie A.

Inter Milan have completed the signing of Djed Spence from Tottenham Hotspur, with the defender agreeing a five-year contract with the Serie A champions.
The 26-year-old has joined Inter for a reported fee of around €30 million (£25.6m), bringing his four-year spell in north London to an end. Spence will remain at San Siro until June 2031.
Spence arrived at Tottenham from Middlesbrough in 2022 and went on to make 85 appearances for the club. He played an important role in their Europa League triumph during the 2024-25 campaign, while making 44 appearances across all competitions last season.

Recent encounters have proved favourable for us, with a record of six wins from the last seven trips to Genoa. One of the most memorable was on 7 October 2023, when the Rossoneri won thanks to a goal from Pulisic, before a dramatic finale that saw Olivier Giroud step in as goalkeeper.
In front of around 33,000 spectators, Pioli's Rossoneri went into action just days after a goalless away game in Dortmund against BVB. Leicester City have confirmed the departure of midfielder Harry Winks who makes his return to Italian football.
With the Foxes playing in League One this season, the club have had to see the departure of some of their big-name players with Winks the latest to go after three years at the club.

Senegal has established itself as one of Africa’s strongest national teams in recent years, but it endured a disappointing campaign at the World Cup. They reached the knockout stage as one of the best third-placed teams before seeing their tournament come to an end earlier than many had anticipated.

The publication understands that there will be a debrief of Senegal's 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign on Saturday. The African nation, who beat Morocco in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, went out at the Round of 32. That was despite leading Belgium 2-0 going into the final stages of the game. A quickfire brace from the Red Devils and a Youri Tielemans winner deep into injury time dumped Thiaw's side out of the competition.
As a result of this perceived failure, Thiaw's position as the national team manager is under threat. His future could be decided today. Some members of the federation want to bring in Vieira, according to L'Équipe.
The France international was born in the Senegalese capital of Dakar, has invested in one of the nation's biggest training centres (Diambars) and is not attached to a club currently, following his exit from Genoa back in November.

Dovbyk joined Roma in a deal worth €30.5m plus add-ons in the summer of 2024 and went on to score 12 goals from 32 league appearances during his first season at the Stadio Olimpico. His 2025-26 campaign was plagued by injuries, though limiting him to just three starts in the league across the season.
Recent reports claim that Roma are keen to shift the centre-forward, who remains under contract for another three seasons until the summer of 2029.
There have been reports that Genoa are interested in a deal for Dovbyk, which would bring a reunion with his former Giallorossi head coach Daniele De Rossi, but this might be a tricky transfer for the Rossoblu to pull off on financial grounds.
Instead, it is Dovbyk's former Girona coach, Michel, now in charge at Ajax, who is said to be interested in exploring a deal with Roma.

Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin has joined Serie A side Fiorentina on loan for the 2026-27 season.

Daniele De Rossi has made moves to bring Artem Dovbyk to Genoa. As Corriere dello Sport reports, the former Roma coach spoke directly with the player to understand the terms of the deal, but the club has put a damper on the deal.
The Giallorossi are unwilling to accept a loan deal that would also require them to contribute to the player's wages. A different deal is being worked on at Trigoria that could guarantee a financial return for the club.

Another Tottenham Hotspur player is out the door! According to Alasdair Gold, Tottenham has reached an agreement to sell Romanian central defender Radu Dragusin to Fiorentina this summer. The deal is reportedly a loan with a purchase obligation, with the loan fee plus obligation totaling £21.5m.
Ironically, £21.5m is exactly what Spurs paid to Genoa when they purchased Dragusin in January 2024, so that makes this transfer a pretty good deal for a player that never seemed to fit in with Tottenham or their tactics. Dragusin proved to be a little too slow, a little too poor in possession, a little too bad at playing out of the back to really establish himself at Spurs, then he went and did his knee and missed almost a year. Now it's clear he's surplus to requirements after Spurs went out and acquired two central defenders to play ahead of him.
I'm not wild about the "set number of games" clause to hit the full purchase price, because there's always a chance that STUFF will happen and he might not hit those numbers. That said, this is definitely Fabio Paratici, once Spurs co-Sporting Director and now Director of Football at La Viola, doing us a solid. The 10% sell-on fee is pretty nice too. Thanks, buddy!
I don't have anything against Radu. By all accounts he was an exemplary teammate and a good guy, and he did win the Europa League trophy with us. I'll miss his Rubix Cube abilities and his wacky top knot hairstyle, but I won't especially miss his football — he never did seem like he was good enough to really play at the top level (or even the bottom level) of the Premier League.
Italy seems like a good place for him to kick-start his career back in motion, and I wish him well. We'll wait for the official announcement, but I expect it'll come soon.

Fabrizio Romanò reports that Fiorentina's on the verge of signing Tottenham Hotspurs defender Radu Drǎgușin on loan with an obligation to buy next summer for a total of €20 million, as well as the player's €5.1 million salary this year. Alasdair Gold believes the total fee is closer to €25 million and the purchase will be triggered by the Drǎgușin meeting certain performance objectives; Spurs will also get 10% of the next transfer fee for him. Nicolò Schira chimes in that the centerback's contract will run until 2031.
Fabio Paratici loves nothing more than raiding his previous club for talent so this comes as no surprise. There was reporting in late May that Drǎgușin was of interest to the Viola brass but the rumors died down over the past month. It makes sense for everyone, too, as the 24-year-old never found his feet in London, making just 48 appearances over 3 seasons since his €20 million move from Genoa in 2023 and being linked to the exit for quite some time, although an ACL injury in 2025 knocked him out for some of that span.
Despite his struggles for Spurs, Drǎgușin's a good player. He has all the physical characteristics you'd want—size, strength, quickness—and he's good on the ball. Despite his athleticism, he struggles in a high line as he doesn't always see the whole pitch and is ****** e to losing forwards darting in behind, but that might have also been a structural issue with Ange Postecoglou's paper-thin defense. Leaving the Premier League for the slower Serie A should suit him, especially since Fabio Grosso's worked with stylistically similar players at Sassuolo.
Drǎgușin joins too many other centerbacks in Florence: Luca Ranieri, Marin Pongračić, Pietro Comuzzo, and new signing Viery will all expect to play significant minutes, minutes that aren't available for a team not in Europe. Pongračić had some good moments at the World Cup and is almost certain to move this summer, leaving Paratici to sort out which of Ranieri and Comuzzo he wants to keep; expect to hear plenty more about this positional group in the coming weeks.
For now, though, we can be fairly excited about Drǎgușin despite his Juve connections. This is a fairly young defender with 30 caps for Romania, experience in Serie A and the Champions League, and the full package of talent. He's pricey, sure, but this is a good gamble on a player the DS knows well. Centerback isn't Fiorentina's most desperate area of need but Paratici's committed to tearing this thing down to the foundation and rebuilding it.

To improve their attack ahead of next season, the Giallorossi are seeking suitors for Dovbyk (watch out for Genoa) and Vaz (on loan).
Inevitably, the focus will then be on a center forward who will allow the Dutch striker to rest and have a ready alternative in case of poor performances in front of goal.
Aside from Greenwood, Roma is exploring several players who could be a good fit, especially if the former Girona player were to leave, as he is currently holding off on any incoming deals. Among those being monitored is Andrea Pinamonti.
As reported by Tuttosport, in addition to Tresoldi, the Giallorossi are also considering the Sassuolo striker, a player already familiar with Serie A.
