Amid this, a new report by Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice suggests that the couple were offered the chance to reside at The Falconry, an early 17th-century lodge located at the back of the deer park on the Althorp estate in Northamptonshire. Spencer used it as his home before inheriting the main house in 1992.
While Harry was reportedly deeply moved by the offer, as Althorp is "sacred ground" to him, Markle allegedly refused. A source claimed that she felt the property was "too remote, too far from London and, frankly, not nearly grand enough."
The insider explained that Markle wants privacy and security. But at the same time, she also expects "serious luxury, substantial ***** e and easy access to London."
