LAS VEGAS – Terence Crawford has consistently denied the possibility of a return to the ring, but Dana White appears confident that if anyone could convince the boxing great to come back, he could.
Crawford (42-0) hung up his gloves after defeating Canelo Alvarez last year. The 38-year-old retired after the biggest win of his career as an undisputed champion, prompting repeated questions about whether "Bud" would return to action.
White is moving full steam ahead with Zuffa Boxing, which means he's seeking out the biggest possible matchups available in boxing. The UFC CEO is confident he knows what it would take for Crawford to come out of retirement.
"There is always a number," White said during a post-fight news conference after Ryan Garcia vs. Conor Benn. "I think for a guy like Crawford, and a couple of my guys here are very close to him – I think for a guy like Crawford, it's more than just a number, it's the right fight.
"It's a fight that interests him and challenges him and makes him want to get back into camp and leave his family. I talked to him yesterday too, and he's having a blast with his kids and doing what we all wish we could do."

Packers safety Javon Bullard got a 15-yard penalty for the hit that knocked Vikings quarterback Kyler Murray out of Sunday's game. Vikings right tackle Brian O'Neill thinks Bullard should have gotten more than that.
O'Neill shoved Bullard after that hit, but after the game he said he wishes he had been more aggressive toward the opponent who just gave his quarterback a concussion.
"It was so bang, bang," O'Neill said, via ESPN. "You don't want to freak out if you're wrong. I was probably wrong to not freak out more than that. So I kind of wish I took a shot at him."
Bullard easily could have been ejected for the hit, and he'll surely at least be fined by the NFL, if not suspended. But he escaped the Vikings dishing out any justice on the field, something that O'Neill regrets about Sunday's game.

The season opener is a game quarterback C.J. Stroud will probably want to forget.
While he had 274 passing yards and two touchdowns, he also had two fumbles, including one on the final drive that doomed the Houston Texans in their opener against the Buffalo Bills.
Stroud is already focusing on turning the page to Week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
"It's part of the NFL," Stroud said. "You have to be able to learn from your mistakes and then go onto the next week and try to get a win. We have a tough Bengals team coming in here. They're really good. We have to be on our P's and Q's, try to win that game. We'll fix our issues by tonight and tomorrow, turn the page and keep moving forward. One thing that DeMeco [Ryans] said in the locker room that I agree with is, we're going to keep our chins high and our chests poked out. We did a lot of positive things, do we wish we won it? Yes. But at the end of the day it's a long season.
"You have to give us a little bit of credit there. I think I second his message with that."

Actress Sydney Sweeney made headlines last week when she starred in a new commercial for sports betting company Novig.
Sweeney doesn't have any reservations about appearing nude, just look at her work in Euphoria, The Voyeurs and The Housemaid just to name a few. She previously made it clear she won't stop appearing nude on screen.
"People forget that I'm playing a character," she explained.
"They think, 'Oh, she gets naked onscreen; she's a ***** symbol'. And I can't get past that. I have no problems with those scenes, and I won't stop doing them, but I wish there was an easier way to have an open conversation about what we're ***** uming about actors in the industry."

Comedian Bill Maher spent the first night of Rosh Hashanah taking aim at Macklemore and other anti-Israel celebrities, arguing that calling the war in Gaza a genocide is fueling a global rise in antisemitism.
During Friday night's episode of HBO's "Real Time," Maher first criticized members of the Democratic Party who have spoken out against Israel during the Israel-Hamas war.
"Because nowhere has this moral confusion become more obvious than in a place called Gaza," Maher said. "A little strip of land that was not part of the original Israel, but they won in a war launched against them, but then gave back, gave back as a peace gesture — did they tell you that part on TikTok, kids?"
Bill Maher Blasts Democratic Party, Says It Is Fine With Religion 'As Long As That Faith Isn't Jewish'

A leaked phone call that appears to feature Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her ex-husband, Ryan Anderson, has raised serious questions about a private conversation the former couple allegedly had while he was working at a school. The ****** ually suggestive audio appears to capture Blanchard and Anderson discussing whether he could participate in an intimate phone exchange from inside the building. Anderson has since pushed back against the speculation, insisting in a TikTok video that he "never" engaged in ****** ual activity at the school.

The audio, which has circulated on social media, begins with Anderson asking Blanchard what she is wearing, but she seemingly brushes off the question. "Oh fine, tomorrow," Anderson responds.
The former couple can then be heard giggling before Anderson appears to express concern about getting caught. "I wish; I don't want to get in trouble," he says.
Blanchard responds by suggesting he would be able to remain quiet. "If you didn't make a sound at your mom's, you're not gonna make a sound at school," she is heard saying.

Playing in Philly, I am very worried about Temple having the home field advantage. Should I put this one on "upset alert"??–Lion241
I know you're being mostly facetious, but college football can be super unpredictable. This isn't the Temple of 2015 and Matt Rhule (or even the Temple of Al Golden), but they're motivated and could put a scare into an unprepared team. I don't think this coaching staff will have the team show up unprepared, but when you underestimate your opponent, that's when it's easier for them to take advantage.
Just as Michigan…or Rutgers.
A long, long time ago, before the internet, I taught a linear algebra class at the night school at Temple. While I never had my car stolen and the worst thing that happened to me was getting diarrhea from some Chinese food truck which had me wishing for Depends during a 50 minute lecture, should I have more loyalty to the school?–LarzLion

The last few days have been very productive for Real Madrid, both on and off the pitch. Jose Mourinho's side defeated Inter Milan 2-1 in their opening match of the 2026-27 Champions League, while there have also been major breakthroughs regarding new contracts for multiple key players.
In the last 24 hours, it was revealed that Arda Guler has committed to a new contract, with the Türkiye international set to extend his stay at the Bernabeu until 2032. Fellow midfielder Jude Bellingham is also in the process of agreeing a renewal, as Real Madrid bosses seek to tie down two players that are seen as the present and future of the first team.
Now, there is further good news for Real Madrid fans, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Thibaut Courtois has agreed to extend his stay at the Bernabeu. The veteran goalkeeper's current deal is due to expire at the end of the 2026-27 season, although he has committed to remaining at the club for at least one more year.
Courtois has been a fantastic servant for Real Madrid over the last eight years. Having joined from Chelsea in the summer of 2018, the Belgian has already racked up 338 appearances across all competitions, and he should significantly add to this number by the time he leaves the club, whenever that may be.
Courtois has already spoken of his desire to retire at Real Madrid, and if he continues to perform at a very high level, there is a good chance that his wish is granted – especially given that the club has yet to secure a long-term replacement. The decision on this matter will come when the time is right, but for now, all that matters is the Belgian shot-stopper will remain at the Bernabeu until the summer of 2028 at the very least.

Ever since Keely Hodgkinson became Olympic champion two years ago, she has not just taken talk of breaking track's longest-standing world record in stride but embraced the possibility.
For 43 years Jarmila Kratochvilova's time of 1:53.28 has stood unbothered, a mark that even World Athletics president Sebastian Coe has previously said he is wishing out of existence following decades of innuendo and suspicion around it being clean.
Now, at last, eclipsing it feels inevitable; although in the **** e of three months Hodgkinson is no longer the favourite to do so.
The summer of 2026 has belonged to Audrey Werro, irrespective of whether the Swiss can round off a perfect season at this weekend's inaugural Ultimate Championships in Budapest.
And while only a fool would write off Hodgkinson becoming the fastest of all time in 2027, the latest rival to have demoted the British superstar to a major championship silver medal seems the most likely.

Identity theft can happen to anyone. Scammers don't discriminate, but did you know freezing your credit can help protect your ******* ets?
Unfortunately, this type of crime is on the rise. In 2025, a total of 31,675 official identity theft complaints were recorded by the FBI — a 47% increase since 2024. Personal data breaches are also a major issue with 67,456 reported in 2025.
Maybe you've already had personal data stolen or perhaps you want to proactively fight against it. Either way, keep reading to learn more about the credit freezing loophole ******* ody talks about.
When your credit is frozen, no new accounts can be opened in your name, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). It can stay in place as long as you wish and it's completely free.
During this time your credit will essentially be on lockdown. Even you won't be able to perform activities like applying for new credit, allowing a potential employer to run a credit background check or authorizing a landlord to run a credit check for a new apartment. However, you can temporarily lift the freeze for these actions.

In 2026, the Cubs' starters have been a major storyline. While the bullpen's struggle is the biggest issue, the rotation has been concerning. The pitching struggles have severely impacted the team in the second half of the season. When looking at the playoff picture, their lead has diminished, and both San Diego and Arizona are within three games of Chicago. However, there is hope for the Cubs starters.
Chicago has had a very up-and-down year from their starters. Injuries have plagued the team, as nearly all pitchers miss time. A busy trade deadline had things looking promising. While a few have had good starts, the team has struggled to find consistency. That said, the Cubs' starter hierarchy has clearly shifted. If Chicago wishes to make a run in the playoffs, relying on the top three Cubs starters needs to be the move.
Clay Holmes has been the top Cubs starter since he joined the team. With Chicago, he is 2-3 with a 3.51 ERA. The ERA is inflated by his last start, in which he allowed eight runs in 4.1 innings. Without that game, he was showing his ace potential. Down the stretch of the season, Holmes will need to show his talent and give the Cubs valuable length.
The other newcomer, Kevin Gausman, has also been solid since joining Chicago. His most recent start against the Brewers was rough, allowing six earned runs. He has had mixed results in his seven starts, with a 5.31 ERA. However, he is giving good length, going six or seven innings in most starts. Additionally, his valuable playoff experience makes him a key piece of the Cubs rotation.
Of the three starters, Matthew Boyd is the only one who has been with them all year. Boyd has struggled with injuries and inconsistency, but still has given valuable innings. Like Gausman, he can go fairly deep into games. He is 8-4 with a 4.03 ERA in 109.1 innings. His experience with Chicago could see him start one of the first two games come playoff time.

Erika Kirk needs to take time away from her role as CEO of Turning Point USA to "work on healing," according to her "dear friend" Megyn Kelly.
Charlie Kirk, 31, was **** assinated while speaking at the first stop of his American Comeback Tour one year ago on September 10, 2025. After his death, his widow became CEO and board chair at the conservative organization.
Appearing on the Thursday, September 10, episode of Piers Morgan Uncensored, Kelly, 55, was asked by the host why she believes Erika, 37, has become a lightning rod for criticism over the past year.
"I come to this with a bias because I love Erika," Kelly replied. "I consider her a dear friend and I hate to see her suffer. It's been very painful to watch her suffer this year."
"The overwhelming suffering has been caused by Charlie's murder and not by the internet nonsense, but that's been an added burden on her. There's no question, I don't like it," the former Today show host continued. "I wish it weren't happening. I wish people would move on and just see the evidence that's there. But I think part of the reason this is happening is because Erika stayed in the public eye as the CEO of Turning Point, therefore, in some ways, criticism of her is fair game."

Sam Ponder is sharing the reason why she decided to homeschool her three children.
The former ESPN host, who shares Bowden, 12, Robinson, 9, and Price, 8, with her husband, former NFL quarterback Christian Ponder, took to X, where she blamed the New York City public school system for her decision to pull her children out of traditional classrooms.
"Meeting so many more families like ours in the city recently who, like us, never thought they'd homeschool," Ponder wrote Wednesday, September 9, over a New York Post report citing that homeschooling in New York City has gone up by 200 percent.
She continued, "I went to a huge inner city public school as a kid and thought homeschooling was weird. Then the local public school option became… weirder. I see it as a huge privilege to be able to homeschool but I wish it didn't feel so necessary."
The former Sunday NFL Countdown host worked for ESPN alongside former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III, but was ultimately let go in 2024 in the final year of a three-year, $3 million contract, with the network citing budget cuts at the time, according to a 2024 report from The New York Times.

Even with legions of adoring fans across the globe, Dolly Parton never let the spotlight change who she was.
From choosing a small, private funeral over a lavish send-off to asking well-wishers to skip flowers and gifts in favor of donating to her Imagination Library, the 80-year-old country music icon, who died on August 25, stayed grounded in what mattered most to her: people, not possessions. Given that, it's no surprise the final thing she asked of her sister was something simple and heartfelt.
"The last thing Dolly asked me for was prayer," Stella Parton, 77, told Gayle King in an interview with CBS Mornings posted on Thursday, September 10.
Mega
Stella also said she sensed her sister had found peace before she passed. She explained that she'd always been able to read Dolly's emotions just from her expression, even after long stretches without seeing her in person — whether she was in pain, upset, joyful, or simply worn out, it showed on her face. The two, she said, had always shared a tight-knit bond as siblings.

Why Trent Grisham's injury opens major opportunity for Spencer Jones with Yankees originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
There may be no better time for Spencer Jones to prove to the New York Yankees that he deserves to be the everyday center fielder.
Now that Trent Grisham landed on the injured list with a hamstring strain, Jones will be in the lineup almost every day for the remainder of the regular season.
Grisham's hamstring strain is his second of the season, and it may keep him on the shelf for the rest of September.
Without wishing injury on anyone, Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller wrote Monday that this may be a good thing for Jones and the Yankees.

Pop star Pink is under fire online for resharing an anti-Israel message and then following it up with a series of Instagram posts directed at her detractors.
Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, supported British musician Ed Sheeran on stage at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey in a show called Loop Tour on September 4 and 5. Donning a keffiyeh in front of an 80,000-strong audience, the rapper shouted "Free Palestine" and addressed Gaza and the occupied West Bank, saying that they are not being forgotten.
"Every human being walking on this earth deserves exactly the same freedom," he added, as reported by Variety.
The rapper then performed his protest song "Hind's Hall," which featured flashes of Gaza on the stadium screens. Macklemore referenced Hind Rajab, a young Palestinian girl killed in Gaza, named after student demonstrators at Columbia University who renamed a campus building in her honor. The rapper then addressed Jewish concertgoers, saying that criticizing Israel and condemning their actions as genocide is not a condemnation of Jewish people and that his message is a message of peace and dignity for everyone.
American pop diva, whose legal name is Alecia Beth Moore Hart, posted a video with the message "Awful" to her Instagram Story, claiming that Jewish fans who came to see Sheeran's performance are exposed to propaganda against Israel. According to Pink, Macklemore's speech and video presentation amount to a false accusation of genocide, and people who came to the concert are entitled to "apologies and refunds."

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce stepped out for a date night in New York City amid speculation about how his NFL season could affect their marriage. This date night comes over two months after the couple tied the knot on July 3 at iconic Madison Square Garden in the city. Interestingly, this romantic outing also comes at a time when reports have hinted that Kelce's new innings with the Chiefs will put his marriage to Swift to a test.
It seems like Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have put all rumors to rest by spending a romantic date night outing in NYC. Page Six shared exclusive photos of Swift and Kelce in stylish outfits as they dined at the Indian restaurant Ambassadors Clubhouse. Notably, it is a hotspot located in the NoMad district on Sunday night.
In the photos, the Chiefs tight end puts a protective hand on his wife's waist as they walk into the restaurant from their SUV. The "Opalite" crooner modelled a metallic graphite brown halter dress by Stella McCartney. As per the outlet, she paired it with a red-brown purse and matching metallic heels that added an extra dose of oomph to the look.
She also reportedly opted for the Elizabeth Taylor opal ring and bracelet set, which her now-husband gifted her last Christmas. Swift's wispy bangs framed her face as she paired it with her signature red lipstick look for the romantic night out.
Kelce opted for a white silk striped shirt with brown trousers and checkered shoes. He completed the look with stylish aviators and a watch. It seems like Swift and Kelce have taken it upon themselves to ****** ure their fans and well-wishers that there is nothing to worry about.

The Princess of Wales looked stylish as ever for a milestone family moment on Tuesday. It's a momentous day for Prince William and Princess Kate who dropped their son Prince George off for his first day of secondary school at the prestigious Eton College today.
The royal couple braved the rain as they accompanied their 13-year-old, who looked so distinguished in his suit and tie, to the campus in Berkshire this morning. Kate was every inch the proud mum as she stood next to her grown-up son beneath an umbrella to meet with Eaton's head master, Simon Henderson, and Sir Nicholas Coleridge, the school's Provost.
The Princess of Wales was glamorous as ever as she braved the rain in a flattering green midi dress that cinched at the waist. The long-sleeved dress, which looked to be the Emilia Wickstead design she wore in 2023 while hosting Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Prince Daniel at Windsor Castle, featured a rounded neckline and fell to below the knee in an A-line silhouette with a floaty skirt that swished as she walked. The royal walked across the cobbled school yard in a pair of pointed-toe stilettos and styled her hair in a gorgeous cascade of curls that swept past her shoulders.

Pink faced backlash after reposting a statement from an advocacy group calling for an apology from Macklemore for advocating for Palestinians during his opening act for Ed Sheeran in New Jersey.
Pink reposted the message from the group StopAntisemitism on her Instagram stories. The message started with the word "Awful," suggesting that Jewish fans had purchased their tickets to see Sheeran but instead experienced what it referred to as anti-Israel propaganda. According to the group, the Seattle rapper had accused Israel of falsely committing a genocide, and concertgoers were owed an apology and a refund. Pink did not comment and has not yet given a reason for posting the message.
Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, performed for Ed Sheeran in MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Sept. 4 and Sept. 5 as part of his Loop Tour. Dressed in a keffiyeh, the rapper told the crowd of more than 80,000 people that he wanted to stand in the stadium and say, "Free Palestine." He mentioned that he hoped people in Gaza and the occupied West Bank knew they had not been forgotten and that every human being deserved freedom.
Macklemore then sang "Hind's Hall," a protest song he released in 2024, as images of Gaza played on the stadium screens. Moreover, the rapper spoke directly to the Jewish audience, saying that criticizing Israel was not criticizing them.
His performance led the Israeli American Council to file a petition asking Sheeran and his management to remove the rapper from other tour dates. The petition referred to his show as a concert and not a rally for activists and politics. It also claimed that Macklemore used his global platform to promote a one-sided political agenda. The petition asked whether the speech and visuals were approved before the event.

Milo Yiannopoulos, a key figure in Ye's inner circle, says he's "ashamed" he ever supported Donald Trump after his ICE arrest and subsequent deportation, which he says left him "weeping like an old woman" for an hour.
As previously reported, Yiannopoulos, whose ****** le under the artist formerly known as Kanye West as of May 2025 was Head of Special Projects, was arrested in Louisiana on Aug. 27, one day before Ye's New Orleans show. While ICE reps argued that he had chosen to "overstay his welcome" and failed to show up for an immigration hearing, Yiannopoulos has disputed these claims in a new interview with Piers Morgan.
"I think maybe in the past I've been a little bit blasé when people talked about their trauma, a little bit kind of cavalier when people talked about stuff kind of lingering with them, but I get it now," Yiannopoulos, who said in the same interview that he doesn't "do the right-wing provocateur thing anymore," said. "I wouldn't wish it on anyone. The thing that astonishes me, I have to say, is to see the various bits of the American government, all the machinery of the government, kind of lining up to lie."
In short, Yiannopoulos, born in the U.K. but married to a U.S. citizen, says his green card was canceled without him being informed due to notices being sent to an address at which he longer resides, adding that the government was aware that he "wasn't there."

The late Queen spent 70 years on the throne, during which time she carried out more than 21,000 public and official engagements. As such, there wasn't a lot that would phase Her Majesty.
But her composure did slip on one very rare occasion - and the cameras were there to capture the moment.
The momentary mishap took place back in 2010, when Elizabeth stepped out to mark the 150th anniversary of the Eton Combined Cadet Force at Eton College - coincidentally where her great grandson Prince George will start this week.
Dressed in a lilac skirt suit and matching hat, she was warmly greeted by excited crowds as she arrived for the occasion.
The Queen was certainly used to accepting bouquets of flowers on her public engagement - but on this occasion, she struggled to keep hold of a plastic-wrapped display offered to her by a well-wisher.

Ask a Bayern Munich executive or management figure about French mega-star Michael Olise and he will tell you that the winger is not for sale.
Chief executive officer Jan-Christian Dreesen, president Herbert Hainer, board member for sport Max Eberl, sporting director Christoph Freund, and supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß will all give you the same story. One thing that none of them can be completely certain of, however, is the future.
As for that, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly trying to make headway. In this report, the duo is allegedly working through intermediaries to see if a deal can get done at some point:
Following his outstanding performances for FC Bayern Munich and the French national team at the 2026 World Cup, Michael Olise remains on the wish lists of top European clubs. The 24-year-old right winger is one of the key players in Bayern's attack. His contract with the German record champions runs until June 30, 2029. With his strong start to the 2026/27 season, Olise has further cemented his status as a highly sought-after transfer target.
Olise's rapid development and consistently strong performances have attracted the attention of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid in particular. According to information from fussball-news.de, both European powerhouses are closely monitoring his progress and are considering high-caliber reinforcements for the right wing and attacking positions.
