It has not been smooth sailing for Alexander Zverev at the U.S. Open.
Zverev was down two sets to one against Italy's Lorenzo Sonego in the tournament's first round before producing a comeback win. The German star also went a full five sets against France's Quentis Halys in the second round before dominating Alejandro Tabilo in the third round.

Now Zverev faces Italy's Luciano Darderi in the Round of 16 on Monday, with the winner advancing to the U.S. Open quarterfinals.
While Zverev's girlfriend, Sophia Thomalla, isn't as active on social media as she used to be, she made several posts showing she was with Zverev in New York before the tournament began and is probably still there while he plays through the tournament.
