The world's third-largest corn exporter is ‌wrapping up its 2025/26 harvest, estimated at 71.7 million tons, nearly 20% above the previous record set five years ago, according to government data.
"Argentine corn right now is very competitive in price and in volume," Gustavo Idigoras, head of the CIARA-CEC grains exporters and crushers chamber, told Reuters. Normal export volumes for August-September typically reach about 3 million tons, he added.
Idigoras said demand from North African countries — typically buyers of Ukrainian grain — has been the primary driver. "In the last months we've had meetings with several North African countries, who want to have deeper commercial ties ‌with Argentine exporters," he said, without naming specific ⁠countries.

Diana's "revenge dress" — the strapless black evening dress by Greek designer Christina Stambolian that she wore at the Serpentine Gallery in London on June 29, 1994, the same night as a televised interview in which the future King Charles confessed his infidelity with Camilla Parker-Bowles (now Queen Camilla) — will be sold this December by Sotheby's. This will mark the first time in nearly 30 years that the dress has been available to buy, after previously being offered at a 1997 auction, when Princess Diana sold 79 of her dresses to benefit cancer and AIDS charities shortly before her tragic death at age 36. Then, it sold for $65,000.

The businesswoman, designer and mother of both Beyoncé and Solange Knowles made her luxury fashion campaign debut in American luxury heritage house St. John by Humberto Leon Fall 2026 capsule collection, released Sept. 10. The collection is now available at stjohnsknits.com
The collection serves as the inaugural campaign by Leon the brand's newly appointed creative director. He is the co-founder of the fashion brand Opening Ceremony and former co-creative director of Kenzo.

The iconic Christina Stambolian dress will be sold this December during Sotheby's Luxury Week with an estimate of $150,000–$300,000.
The dress will be offered at auction for the first time since June 1997, when the late princess sold 79 of her dresses at auction to raise funds to benefit cancer and AIDS charities.
A rare copy of the original catalog, numbered and signed by the princess and the designer of the dress, crediting Prince William with the idea of the sale will be sold with the dress. Part of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to NHS Lothian Charity on behalf of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital.
