London — The involvement of a small American firm linked to **** ociates of President Trump in an energy project in Bosnia and Herzegovina worth more than $1.5 billion has raised questions about how the White House could be using its leverage in the fragile Balkan state.
U.S. lawmakers accuse the Trump administration of lifting sanctions on Bosnian Serb separatist leader Milorad Dodik in an effort to enrich and empower allies of Mr. Trump, and of undermining longstanding U.S. foreign policy interests in the region in the process.
On Sunday, Mr. Trump was hailed by Dodik after his Serb nationalist party won one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's three presidency seats, which are split between Bosnia's Muslim minority, known as Bosniaks, as well as Serb and Croat ethnic groups under the country's complex power-sharing electoral system.
"If it had not been for Donald Trump's magnificent victory … we would probably be political corpses today," Dodik told supporters in a speech, in which he also thanked Russian President Vladimir Putin for his support.

Melyssa Ford spoke out in defense of Jasmine Guy after the actress was ridiculed for her looks amid the release of Netflix's A Different World.
In a video posted to her Instagram on Tuesday (Sept. 22), Ford called out "internet gangsters" for criticizing Guy, 64. "You internet gangsters get on my f**kingnerves," the Hot & Bothered host began, calling Guy "the latest woman to be picked apart for her age."
"Women cannot win for losing," Ford said. "If a woman gets work done, she lacks self-love, she's insecure, she's chasing youth. If she doesn't, she's letting herself go or she's praised for being 'brave' for letting her face do what faces do. 'Brave' for aging."
Ford called "aging naturally" a "privilege," while the alternative is "death." "If you wanna die and live a good-looking corpse, that's on you. But most of us wanna live long, healthy, robust lives and that means getting older. No one calls a f**kingman 'brave' for going gray."

Six months into a conflict that has proven complex, costly, and highly unpopular, there remains no end in sight to the war in Iran. That's left the energy market — and the ****** ysts and strategists who study it — with a deep lack of clarity.
"For the first time since the start of the Iran conflict, we don't have a baseline view," commodities strategists at JPMorgan, led by Natasha Kaneva, wrote to clients on Thursday. "We simply don't know how to model the endgame."
As the war enters its seventh month, the conflict has broadened to multiple fronts.
In the mouth of the Persian Gulf, the Strait of Hormuz — the world's most critical chokepoint for global energy flows — remains essentially closed to through traffic as Tehran's Revolutionary Guard Corps continues to threaten vessels in the region. Daily crossings of the waterway have remained in the low double digits, far below the average of more than 120 daily transits before the outbreak of war.

The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York filed a civil forfeiture complaint on Sep. 14 seeking approximately $61 million in cryptocurrency linked to black-market sales of Iranian crude oil.
According to the DOJ, the funds were allegedly meant to support the Iranian government and its military, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC. The U.S. government has designated the IRGC as a terrorist organization.
A civil forfeiture complaint is a legal action in which the government seeks to seize money or property it believes was involved in or resulted from criminal activity. It is not a criminal charge, the allegations are not proven until a court rules in the government's favor.

Iran is deliberately targeting U.S. naval drones in the Strait of Hormuz to gather intelligence on American surveillance capabilities and learn how to evade U.S. defenses, drone experts warned Tuesday.
Tehran's strategy is coordinated, they said, and involves exposing critical insights into U.S. Navy theater operations in the world's most vulnerable maritime choke point even when classified data is uncompromised.
The warning came as tensions escalated in the Gulf region Sept. 14 after the U.S. military destroyed two Iranian small boats amid an attempted seizure by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of an American unmanned surface vessel (USV) patrolling the area, according to reports.

CBS Sports ******* yst Garrett Podell put together his bold predictions for Week 1 of the 2026 season, one of which centers around the Jacksonville Jaguars' run defense -- and not in a positive way.
Podell made four bold Week 1 predictions, one of which is that Cleveland Browns' running back Quinshon Judkins rushes for over 75 yards against the Jaguars' defense.
"Cleveland Browns running back Quinshon Judkins ran for 827 yards as a rookie in 2025 despite the corpse of Joe Flacco, third-round rookie Dillon Gabriel and fifth-round rookie Shedeur Sanders all starting at quarterback last season," wrote Podell. "He's used to facing loaded boxes and opponents going all out to take away his production."
Of course, what makes this prediction bold is that the Jaguars boasted the top run defense unit in football last season.
A second offseason in Anthony Campanile's scheme, along with no significant losses this offseason, a few new rookie additions, and second-year players BJ Green and Danny Striggow making potential jumps, are all reasons to believe that this unit can once again be quite good.

It appears the Minnesota Vikings lit a top 10 draft pick on fire by selecting J.J. McCarthy. Remarkably, it might not matter.
Like in 2024, head coach Kevin O'Connell has a high profile reclamation project ready to lead his offense. Sam Darnold got his team to 14 wins that fall. Now Kyler Murray gets the opportunity to do the same. He'll be flanked by the league's best wide receiving corps and a defense stuck on "shaken hornets nest" at all times.
Murray is playing on a one-year prove-it deal. He'll test himself against one of the toughest and deepest divisions in the NFL. Let's take a look at how Minnesota got here and what its 2026 might look like.
There's still time for JJ McCarthy to embody the potential the Vikings saw in him when they made him the 12th overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. But, uh, hoooo buddy, it doesn't look good. His 66.5 percent on-target throw rate ranked 33rd of 33 qualified quarterbacks, nearly three full points below No. 32 Caleb Williams. Since Pro Football Reference began charting that stat in 2019, only one player has been worse: Anthony Richardson in 2019. Ooooof.
That leaves Murray with a path to redemption after his Arizona Cardinals career flamed out. He's been a nest made of vacated promise after his Pro Bowl 2021 season. His 0.097 EPA per dropback since then ranks 20th out of 33 quarterbacks to play at least 1,000 snaps, just behind a diminished Kirk Cousins. But this is his age 29 season. But he was a useful dual-threat presence as recently as 2024 (where, admittedly, Arizona went 8-9) and now gets the most talented supporting cast of his career.

After going 14-3 and reaching the AFC Championship game last season, the Denver Broncos are considered a Super Bowl contender going into the 2026 campaign.
The Ringer's Diante Lee published his updated NFL power rankings on Monday, and he has the Broncos ranked third, only trailing the NFC's Los Angeles Rams (this year's Super Bowl favorite) and Seattle Seahawks (the defending Super Bowl champion).
"The Broncos have all the pieces they'll need to win their division and be an AFC front-runner again, and that was already the case before they traded for receiver Jaylen Waddle," Lee wrote for The Ringer. "Now this team is entering the season with arguably a top-three defense, a top-five offensive line, and a top-10 receiving corps led by Waddle and Courtland Sutton.
Lee is not alone in his ******* sment of the league's top three clubs. Bleacher Report's NFL experts also published their updated power rankings on Monday with the same order: L.A., Seattle, Denver.
"Most of our panelists agree that Denver is a top-three team to open the season, which seems fitting for a club coming off an AFC Championship appearance," Maurice Moton wrote for B/R.

Marine pilots moving from the newly retired Harrier to the F-35 must unlearn old instincts.
The F-35 eases much of the physical work of flying, but gives pilots far more data to manage.
Former Harrier pilots say breaking those patterns takes repeated simulator training and practice.
The first time a former Marine Harrier pilot brings an F-35 fighter jet in to land on the deck of an amphibious warship, skills honed by hundreds of hours in the old jet might work against them in the new Lightning II.
The AV-8B Harrier, the Marine Corps' short take-off and vertical-landing fighter, saw its pilots carefully manage three different controls — one to control direction, an engine throttle, and a nozzle lever that directed engine thrust, allowing the aircraft to hover.

DUBAI, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Iran said it will step up efforts to tackle problems created by the U.S. sanctions that are crippling its economy, while a senior Iranian official warned of a "painful response" if it comes under further attack.
Six months after U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran, the war appears to be at a stalemate. A preliminary ceasefire accord ‌reached in June has unravelled and little progress has been made in diplomatic efforts to get the peace process back on track.
After a pause in military action for much of ‌August, ******* -for-tat strikes have resumed with U.S. Central Command saying it hit three Iranian tankers on Saturday after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at two U.S. Navy ships.
Following the attacks, Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said on Sunday that the U.S. should understand that the rules of the game in the war against Iran have changed "before it is too late".
"From now on, any attack against Iran's interests and security will receive a faster, heavier and more painful response," he said in a speech published on his Telegram channel.

DUBAI, Sept 5 (Reuters) - U.S. and Iranian forces fired at vessels in waters around Iran on Saturday, including three Iranian oil carriers struck by the Americans and three tankers that Iran said it targeted while on unauthorized ‌routes in the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command said it struck the three Iranian vessels, including one off the ‌coast of Kharg Island, near Iran's oil export hub, after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at two U.S. Navy ships.
"Let the message to the IRGC be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost — taking out three of yours," said Admiral Brad Cooper, head of U.S. Central Command, which oversees the U.S. military in the Middle East.
The IRGC responded by threatening intensified strikes against U.S. military vessels in the region, and said later it targeted the three tankers as well as three U.S.-linked vessels in other areas.
"Do not be deceived ‌by the 'terrorist' U.S. military and refrain from any suspicious movement aimed at passing through unauthorized waterways," the IRGC Navy said in a statement carried on Iranian state TV. "Otherwise, you will be targeted."

San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling has stood out during preseason work ahead of the team's Week 1 Thursday Night matchup against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia on September 10. Injuries in the receiving corps have created openings, and Stribling has taken full advantage in practice and preseason action.
Quarterback Brock Purdy praised the Ole Miss product directly, saying Stribling will be a big part of the offense this season. Purdy cited the rookie's playbook retention, consistency in practice, and ability to correct mistakes quickly as reasons for his confidence.
The San Francisco 49ers carry high expectations into the new season, and confidence surrounds their offense. Wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling turned heads during preseason workouts after joining the team as a draft pick out of Ole Miss, following his early college career at Washington State.
Stribling also led all receivers in the 49ers' preseason opener against the Tennessee ****** ans, catching seven passes for 63 yards in the first half alone against first-team defenders. That performance made him the second receiver in the past decade to record seven catches in the first 20 minutes of a preseason game.

According to Sportsnet:
Pittsburgh Penguins: Arturs Silovs
It's something of a similar story in Pittsburgh. After finishing second in the Metro last season, after a string of campaigns in the division's basement before that, the Penguins enter 2026-27 looking to prove their resurgence was more than a one-year fluke.
They'll do so with a lineup that's seen plenty of turnover this summer. New offensive talents Andrei Kuzmenko and Nick Robertson are dotted among the forward corps' bottom six, and new blue-liners Trevor van Riemsdyk and Kaedan Korczak will slot in to replace key depth pieces. The most important change, though, might be the fact that the net will be turned over to young Arturs Silovs.
The 25-year-old split netminding duties with a veteran partner for the entirety of last season — first with Tristan Jarry and then Stuart Skinner following the trade that brought the two-time Cup finalist to Pittsburgh. It was Skinner who got the start for the first few games of the post-season, before Silovs took over and nearly pulled Pittsburgh back from an 0-3 series deficit. With Skinner headed to Winnipeg, it'll be up to Silovs and young Sergei Murashov to keep Sidney Crosby's club in the post-season picture once again.

DUBAI, Sept 3 (Reuters) - Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency reported on Thursday the deaths of six more military personnel from ‌U.S. strikes this week, bringing the military death toll to ‌at least 13.
The U.S. strikes on Tuesday were the most extensive for weeks. In the latest report on military deaths, Tasnim said six members of the regular military, including three pilots, had been killed in southern Iran. It gave no additional detail on the location.
Tasnim had earlier reported that Tuesday's ‌strikes had killed three members of the paramilitary Basij on Lavan Island in the Gulf, with their funeral taking place in southern Iran on Wednesday.
The strikes also killed four members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' (IRGC) Aerospace Force in western Iran, according to a statement by the guards published on Wednesday.

The Las Vegas Raiders received a troubling ***** sment of their wide receiver room entering the 2026 season, creating another concern for quarterbacks Fernando Mendoza and Kirk Cousins. A low ranking for the position group highlights the uncertainty surrounding an offense that will need reliable production from its pass catchers to find consistency.
The Raiders have spent the offseason attempting to build an offense capable of supporting multiple options at quarterback. Whether Mendoza earns meaningful opportunities or Cousins takes control of the offense, both players could face a difficult situation if the receiving corps cannot consistently create separation and finish plays.

Injuries and uneven preseason performances have only added to the concern. Las Vegas has dealt with questions about the availability of promising young receivers, while the broader group has yet to establish the kind of dependable hierarchy that can give a quarterback confidence on critical downs.
The ranking also reflects the pressure facing the Raiders' offensive staff to get more from the talent already on the roster. Coaches have publicly challenged the receivers to raise their level, signaling that the organization understands the position could become a major obstacle if improvement does not arrive quickly.

The Kansas City Chiefs received an unflattering ****** sment of their wide receiver group entering the 2026 season, a development that could place even more pressure on Patrick Mahomes. The ranking suggests the Chiefs' passing game may face questions about depth and consistency despite having one of the NFL's premier quarterbacks under center.
Kansas City has spent recent years reshaping its receiving corps following the departures and roster changes that transformed an offense once built around overwhelming speed and star power. The current group has talent, but the uncertainty surrounding its collective production has created concerns about whether the unit can consistently provide Mahomes with dependable options.
Dec 14, 2025; Kansas City, Missouri, USA; Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes (15) looks to pass against the Los Angeles Chargers during the second quarter at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. Mandatory Credit: Jay Biggerstaff-Imagn Images
The low ranking reflects those lingering questions rather than a complete lack of potential. Several receivers possess the ability to contribute in meaningful ways, but Kansas City will need its group to establish chemistry quickly and avoid the inconsistency that has occasionally limited the offense in recent seasons.
That challenge becomes particularly important for Mahomes, whose success has often depended on his ability to adapt to changing personnel. His playmaking can compensate for weaknesses around him, but expecting the quarterback to repeatedly overcome protection issues, dropped passes and limited separation would create an increasingly difficult path for the Chiefs.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump said Tuesday that he is nominating acting Navy Secretary Hung Cao for the permanent job, giving the Navy combat veteran the nod as concerns have emerged that some sailors have been stretched to the limit during the Iran war.
Cao has been serving as acting Navy secretary since John Phelan departed the job unexpectedly and without explanation in late April. Unlike Phelan, who had not served in the military or had a civilian leadership role in the service, Cao spent 25 years in the Navy as a special operations officer and went on to serve with SEAL teams and special forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
"I am pleased to nominate a true WARRIOR," Trump wrote on social media, prodding the Senate "to confirm this Warfighter, ASAP."
Cao on social media called it the "honor of a lifetime to lead the great warriors of the Navy and Marine Corps team."
Cao's nomination comes as some, including Democrats in Congress, believe Trump has been overtaxing the Navy. The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier's nine-month deployment to support the Iran war has included a record-setting uninterrupted time at sea.

There is always a winner in any major global oil crisis. In 1973/74, it was Saudi Arabia and its OPEC brothers who shifted the balance of power in the market away from the previous arrangement dominated by the West's 'Seven Sisters' to the oil producers of the Middle East. After the 2014-2016 Oil Price War, it was the U.S. whose earlier nascent shale oil sector resisted the threat to its very existence from Saudi Arabia and OPEC, reorganising into a meaner, leaner, lower-cost oil production machine. The U.S. was the winner again in the short-lived 2020 Oil Price War, and this, along with all the other major crises mentioned, is ****** ysed in full in my latest book on the global oil markets. The latest rupture in the global oil market order that followed the U.S.'s 'Operation Epic Fury' against Iran that began on 28 February has also produced a clear winner. It is neither the U.S., Saudi Arabia, nor the other OPEC states -- it is China. So, how inclined will Beijing be to heed Washington's newly announced sanctions on Iran ahead of the meeting of its President Xi Jinping with U.S. counterpart Donald Trump on 24 September at the White House?
The sanctions in question were announced on 20 August by U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who stated they would be "the ‌toughest sanctions in history" on Iran, under the umbrella of 'Economic D-Day' for the country. The direct sanctions on Iran aim for the complete financial isolation and economic shutdown of the regime by cutting off all domestic and international revenue streams. To this end, the U.S. Treasury blacklisted five core sectors of Iran's economy -- Digital ****** ets/Crypto, Technology, Gold, Aviation, and Shipping -- making any business operating within them subject to immediate ****** et freezes. At the same time, all longstanding humanitarian, academic, athletic, and personal remittance exemptions were indefinitely suspended, including a complete ban on non-commercial family money transfers and joint research collaborations. In parallel with this, the state-run Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) and commercial aviation fleets were put under a strict operational embargo, cutting off access to foreign ports, refuelling, and aircraft spare parts. Immediate ****** et freezes were also levied against procurement networks, cyber warfare units, and business syndicates tied to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Related: Solar Has Crossed a Critical Economic Tipping Point
In tandem with this, the U.S. Treasury, along with sister organisations, will fully utilise secondary sanctions to force foreign governments and companies to choose between trading with Iran or trading with the U.S., under the umbrella of 'Operation Economic Outcast'. This aims to target the complete financial isolation of Tehran by cutting off its remaining economic lifelines. To that end, the U.S. Treasury has already blacklisted nearly 60 entities, individuals, and vessels, focusing heavily on thir

How do the New York Giants stack up against the rest of the NFL following the deadline to finalize 53-man rosters?
ESPN had the Giants drop one spot to No. 24 overall in its preseason power rankings after rosters were set, highlighting Odell Beckham Jr., who just made the team, and his milestone chase as a feat to watch for New York in 2026.
Milestone to watch: Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. climbing to second in Giants history for total touchdown receptions.
Beckham needs five touchdown grabs to pass Kyle Rote (48) for the second most in Giants history. Amani Toomer is first with 54. Beckham is back for his second stint with the team since leaving in 2018, and coach John Harbaugh complimented his performance during training camp. Beckham is currently fourth in franchise history with 44 touchdown receptions. Joe Morrison is third with 47.
Beckham adds to a wide receiver room that will welcome Malik Nabers back from injury and also features rookie Malachi Fields along with Darius Slayton. The receiving corps has the potential to produce solid numbers if everyone can stay healthy.

North Carolina orchestrated a hard-fought 15-10 upset victory against TCU in Ireland, anchored by pivotal contributions across both offensive and defensive units.
While Pro Football Focus identified the defense as the primary driver of the team's high grades, the rejuvenated receiving corps significantly outperformed initial projections.
Here are the best performers from UNC in their win over TCU according to PFF.
1. Billy Edwards Jr., QB (Grade: 76.8)
Edwards recorded 232 yards on 16-of-28 passing (57.1%) with no turnover-worthy plays. His efficiency peaked on play action (5-of-8, 115 yards), while managing 24 yards on 50% completion under pressure.

The Kansas City Chiefs signed standout wide receiver Andrew Armstrong to their practice squad on August 31, just a day after the team released him during its preseason roster cuts.
Armstrong, who entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent last year, signed a future/reserve contract with the Chiefs on January 6, 2026, after playing in stints for the Miami Dolphins and Detroit Lions.
A former Arkansas Razorback, Armstrong made a great impression on Kansas City's fans at Chiefs training camp and was among the team's most productive prospects during the preseason.
Chiefs Senior Team Reporter Matt McMullen revealed Armstrong's signing with Kansas City in a post to his official Twitter account:
While Armstrong isn't likely to be on the Chiefs' gameday roster early in the NFL regular season, he may get the chance to become a key contributor to Kansas City's offense if injuries affect the team's receiving corps later this year.

The Washington Commanders announced their initial practice squad on Monday afternoon. It included several standout players from training camp and the preseason, with talent that will surely support game-day efforts throughout the year.
Receiver Jaden Bradley is a notable addition, someone who received high praise throughout the course of camp. Terry McLaurin has mentored the undrafted UNLV product, who proved a hard worker in practices and a dynamic playmaker in preseason games.
The Commanders have a bloated receiver corps right now, but it's still possible Bradley sees the field at some point during the regular season.
Washington also signed veteran defensive lineman Byron Cowart, a relatively late addition who is an effective run stopper up front.
The Commanders also added fan favorite Robert Henry Jr., a running back and big-play threat. Craig Reynolds was also kept in that position group, and could be the first rusher elevated with just three backs on the active roster.

The Cincinnati Bengals have made their cuts and released the first version of their final roster on Sunday. They cut down from around 90 players to the 53 that will hopefully win the Bengals their first Super Bowl.
Of course, the Bengals will take a look at who was cut by the other 31 teams, and odds are they could put in a waiver claim or two. Until that happens, though, here are some winners and losers from the Bengals' initial 53-man roster.
Starting with….
Dohnte Meyers
There might not be a cooler story this season than Meyers'. From getting no D1 offers out of high school and having to pay $100 to try out for a CFL team to making a 53-man roster at 26 years old is the kind of stuff they make movies about. Meyers earned his spot too, catching 11 passes on 13 targets for 121 yards. He led the team in receptions and receiving yards this preseason, and will now take his spot on the most talented wide receiver corps in the NFL.

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. forces struck Iranian rocket launchers on the Strait of Hormuz in their first military action in a month on Sunday, breaking a lull in fighting during an intermittent war that has lasted more than six months. Iran swiftly vowed to retaliate for what it called a deadly attack.
Forces with the Revolutionary Guard Corps were observed preparing to launch rockets with sea mines into the strait, according to Tim Hawkins, a spokesperson for the U.S. Central Command. The U.S. military last week completed clearing sea mines from the strait's international shipping routes.
Semiofficial news outlets in Iran reported sounds of explosions near Larak island on the strait. The Guard in a statement carried by Iran's state broadcaster noted "the martyrdom and injury of several of our fighters and compatriots."
Later, Iranian state television showed what it said were ballistic missiles being fired by Iran at U.S. bases in Jordan in response to the American strikes. Jordan's armed forces said they intercepted eight missiles that penetrated the country's airspace early Monday.
A return to open conflict would be dangerous for the region, where Iran has targeted U.S. military bases and infrastructure in Gulf countries since the war began on Feb. 28.

Here's the first surprise of New Orleans Saints roster cuts. Third-year wide receiver Bub Means, the team's 2024 fifth-round draft pick, will be waived per Nick Underhill for NewOrleans.Football. Means made the cut for our 53-man roster projection but the Saints are going in a different direction as they fill out their receiving corps.
Means, 25, played college football at Tennessee and Louisiana Tech before transferring to Pittsburgh, where he truly broke out with 41 catches for 721 yards and six touchdowns in 2023. He has good speed for someone his size but struggled with durability -- his 2024 rookie year ended with a high-ankle sprain in November, and a preseason injury sidelined him for all of 2025.
Maybe Means returns for the practice squad, **** uming he clears waivers. He got off to a hot start this summer but couldn't keep his momentum going when the preseason games started, and by the time training camp came to a close he was losing targets in team drills to other receivers on the depth chart. We'll see how things shake out once the Saints (and other teams) finish navigating injured reserve decisions and begin filling out their practice squads early this week. Few players can run like he can (timing the 40-yard dash in 4.43 seconds) at his size (6-foot-1 and 212 pounds). Don't be shocked if another team snaps him up.

The Buffalo Bills on Saturday announced a handful of their final cuts as they trim their roster to 53 players. Among their initial cuts was former San Francisco 49ers second-round pick Dante Pettis.
Pettis was the 49ers' second-round pick in the 2018 draft. He put together a strong rookie campaign in San Francisco with 27 catches for 467 yards and five touchdowns despite suffering a knee injury in Week 4 and being limited to 12 games. His arrow was pointed up with the 49ers and it looked after Year 1 like he might be a foundational piece of their receiving corps.
Unfortunately for Pettis, the wheels came off in 2019 as the 49ers became a Super Bowl contender. He caught 11 ******* for 109 yards and two touchdowns in 11 games during his sophomore campaign. Pettis didn't make it through 2020 with the 49ers. He didn't record a catch in five games and was waived in November.
Since being waived he's been unable to catch on with a substantial role on any club. He played five games across one-plus seasons with the New York Giants. He had one year with the Chicago Bears in 2022, didn't sign with anyone in 2023, and then caught on with the New Orleans Saints for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The Buffalo Bills signed him this offseason and he wasn't able to earn a place on the 53-man roster.
Pettis since his rookie season has 65 catches for 764 yards and eight touchdowns in 54 games with 12 starts.

Just when you thought it was safe to draft a Giants RB, the team signed Najee Harris. Could he be the spoiler in a suddenly crowded backfield?
If you're a Cam Skattebo true believer, or if you plan to add Tyrone Tracy as an insurance policy, there's still a chance that this could all work in your favor. Harris is still returning to form after tearing his Achilles last year. He has only 19 touches since the end of the 2024 season. He has not yet earned a weekly role, and there's a chance he could be a distant third wheel.
More realistically, however, Harris will help stabilize a relatively injury-prone RB corps. Skattebo missed nine games last year and is known for inviting contact. I'd put his over/under on 2026 games played at 13.5. The expectation this summer has been that Tracy would be in line for at least a few spot starts. Although he filled in admirably for Skattebo last year, he regressed a little bit statistically on a per-touch basis, including dips in yards per carry and broken-tackle rate.
The addition of Harris takes some pressure off the Giants to overwork Skattebo, and it also generates competition with Tracy for the 1B role. It's essentially a lose-lose if you've been targeting either of those guys. The only winner is Harris, who has plenty of room to pop based on his current overall-237 / RB66 ADP. We'll know in the next one to two weeks whether he'll be a fantasy spoiler candidate.

SOUTH BEND — Notre Dame football has named its four permanent captains for the 2026 season, and two of those selections already know the role.
In addition to a pair of returning captains on defense, linebacker Drayk Bowen and safety Adon Shuler, the Irish on Friday, Aug. 28 announced wide receiver Jordan Faison and quarterback CJ Carr as the other two captains.
On a team filled with leaders across the position groups, some of the notable omissions from this list include star cornerback Leonard Moore, left guard Anthonie Knapp and defensive tackle Jason Onye.
