Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in a new interview said he's seen "boxes and boxes" of McDonald's food while traveling on Air Force One with President Trump, who he said eats fast food because he's worried about food poisoning.
"When you get on his airplane, it's just boxes and boxes of McDonald's," he said during an appearance on the "Net Positive" podcast.
One of the hosts, John Crist, asked Kennedy if he ever tried to correct Trump's diet or if it conflicted with the secretary's agenda.
"I'm not like a scold," Kennedy responded. "He eats really good food most of the time, but when he's traveling, he likes to eat food from national chains because he's scared of getting food poisoning."
"When he's at Mar-a-Lago or the White House, that's the best food; it's all fresh produce, and a lot of it is locally sourced. So he is eating good food most of the time," he added.

WENDOVER, Utah (AP) — The first — and only — person to break the sound barrier in a car hits the track in Utah this week with new wheels and his eye on another record.
Twenty years ago, British driver Andy Green set the land speed record for a diesel-powered car, reaching 350.092 mph (563.4 kph) at Utah's famous Bonneville Salt Flats. Green will return to the lunarlike landscape Tuesday and try to beat that mark, this time with a hydrogen-powered car.
The retired Royal Air Force fighter pilot aims not only to win another accolade but to showcase the power of hydrogen as a clean-energy alternative. It's the "fuel of the future," Green told The ******* ociated Press in a July interview.
Green will be driving the 32-foot (9.75-meter) JCB Hydromax, the brainchild of British construction equipment manufacturer JCB. The car is bright yellow, long and slim, resembling a pencil. It's powered by two hydrogen internal combustion engines with a combined 1,600 horsepower, which were adapted from engines used in the company's construction machinery. They mix pressurized hydrogen gas with air and ignite it to create bursts of power.
In targeting the diesel-powered record, Green also hopes to easily clear the world land speed records for hydrogen internal combustion engines (185.5 mph/298.5 kph) and electric vehicles (341.3 mph/549.2 kph).

NONTHABURI, Thailand (AP) — A student opened fire at a high school outside Bangkok on Friday, killing at least five people and wounding more than 20, according to authorities, who said he also appeared to have killed his two grandparents at the family home earlier in the morning.
The 14-year-old shooter took his own life at the school, officials said.
Five school staff members, including teachers and administrators, died in the shooting around 10 a.m. at Debsirin Nonthaburi School in Nonthaburi province northwest of Bangkok, Deputy Interior Minister Polapee Suwunchwee said at the scene.
The boy also killed his grandparents at the home he shared with them prior to the school shooting, Polapee said.
Bangyai Hospital, about 5 kilometers (3 miles) from the school, said 23 people were wounded, of whom 10 were in critical condition, with most suffering gunshot wounds. Earlier reports gave conflicting casualty numbers.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) on Sunday said President Trump could "do something positive" instead of talking about the 2020 presidential election, clapping at the president's primetime speech on Thursday about election security.
"I don't know why the president is dragging up all this stuff," Fetterman told CNN's Jake Tapper on "State of the Union." "You're the president. Do something positive, and you are talking about 2020. That's been settled over six years ago. It's deeply unhelpful and that distracts important things, especially like the Iranian war right now."
On Thursday, Trump said recently declassified documents suggest China interfered in the 2020 presidential election by acquiring more than 200 million U.S. voter files. A 2021 report from the intelligence community about foreign threats to the 2020 elections concluded with "high confidence" that China did not interfere in the election but did take steps to try to undermine Trump's reelection.
Fetterman, who was Pennsylvania's lieutenant governor at the time, said the 2020 presidential election was "absolutely secure, fair and accurate."
"That was the voice of Pennsylvania, and they picked Joe Biden in 2020, that's a fact," Fetterman said. "… Now, until I see evidence that over 25 million migrants that … voted or registered to vote, then yeah, that would make me reconsider some of these things. But there's no evidence, and I don't expect that we'll see any of that."
