Last week, authorities arrested Daejon Love on federal charges for allegedly defrauding over a dozen women out of 1.6 million dollars. Love posed as a San Francisco 49er on social media and claimed to be an undrafted wide receiver for the team.
Several videos of Love pretending to live an NFL lifestyle have come to light as the investigation continues; as serious as the implications are, media outlets such as the Speakeasy talk show have weighed in.
Former Philadelphia Eagles LeSean McCoy shared his opinions on the Love case via social media and wasn't afraid to share his admiration for the accused.
"I love Daejon Love, and let me tell you why. Every time a man does something they wanna crucify us for it. I watch women do this all the friggin time! You go to social media you see the girl, she got all these bags, Birkin this, Birkin that, nice house nice car all this stuff.
"Um, you know, she got this type of job ya know um, 'Im a self millionaire, I got all these things going on,' right, till you meet her, you date her and now it's your girlfriend and you like, 'oh she's been scamming me,' no she's not! The bags are fake…you don't have this luxury job and life that you say you do. Now Im stuck, now I've been fooled….The same thing that he did [Love] I watch a lot of women do that, all the time," McCoy said.

In addition to her many accomplishments, life events and milestones, though, Princess Diana is also forever known for her sense of fashion that garnered considerable attention throughout her life and has continued to make her a fashion icon today.
Even among Diana fans and royal watchers, many of her most famous looks have only been seen on TV, on the covers of magazines or in old photographs, but now, a brand-new exhibit coming to the United States this year will allow guests to get an up-close look in person at some of the late princess's most celebrated items. The exhibit, ***** led "Princess Diana: Love Life Legacy — A Life of Giving," will open at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation's Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum on Nov. 7 and will feature more than 700 artifacts from Princess Diana's life.
Among the items to be on display are Princess Diana's beloved "black sheep" sweater, the long black gown she wore when dancing with John Travolta, her wedding slippers and her "final goodbye" dress—the final gown she tried on before her death, revealed to the public for the first time—among many others.
In addition to these items of clothing, this exhibit will feature various handbags, shoes, jewelry, historical documents, handwritten letters, myriad personal possessions and more. Certain artifacts will be exclusive to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation, but the "Princess Diana: Love Life Legacy — A Life of Giving" exhibit will go on tour elsewhere after departing The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum on May 31, 2027. Tickets for the exhibit can be purchased on the Ronald Reagan Foundation website and are available now.

WORCESTER — Reinforcements are coming for the Boston Red Sox.
Just before 8 p.m. on Saturday evening, Roman Anthony and Trevor Story walked out of Polar Park together with their Boston Red Sox duffle bags already packed in the back of a black car that eschewed them out of the Triple-A ballpark.
The two Red Sox players appear to have concluded their rehab ****** ignments and will return to the Red Sox soon.
"I'm excited to get back," Roman Anthony said a few minutes before leaving. "I'm excited to just get back to the normalcy of seeing the guys and being around the boys and for it to be a different environment."

Teams around the NFL are moving into a tough weekend. What has been a 90-player roster is going to get shrunk down to 53 players. As Kevin Patra points out, there are going to be close to 1,200 players who are told to pack their bags. Pretty reasonably, teams will seek to add value out of player departures when possible, trying to pull off a trade before needing to accept a cut. Could the Vikings actually accommodate some swaps?
At least a few things are needed to pull off a trade.
Most obvious, perhaps, is that there needs to be at least a pair of teams willing to pull off a deal. During cut weekend, there's going to be no shortage of sellers for the Vikings to consider. Every single team has dozens of players who are getting shown the door; extracting value by recouping a pick(s) for one of these players is a better outcome than moving on for no value coming back. So, that end of things shouldn't be an issue.

On August 13, Tapestry (NYSE:TPR) reported fiscal 2026 results that beat the three-year targets management set at its Investor Day, and did so two years ahead of schedule. Revenue climbed to $8 billion, up 17% on a pro forma constant currency basis, while earnings per share jumped 38% to $7.05. Handbags led the way, but the quarter also exposed a widening gap between Coach's momentum and Kate Spade's stalled turnaround, a split investors will be watching closely heading into fiscal 2027.
Tapestry's full-year numbers were not a one-quarter fluke. Operating margin expanded 340 basis points to more than 23%, and the company added 11 million new customers across its brands, with Gen Z shoppers leading the way. Those younger buyers tend to spend at higher average unit prices and stick around, which is why management keeps pointing to acquisition as the engine behind everything else.
Coach did the heavy lifting. Fourth-quarter constant currency revenue rose 14%, with North America up 10%, Greater China up 30%, and Europe up 25%. Handbag prices rose at a mid-teens rate for the full year while unit volumes also grew, a combination that shows the brand can raise prices without scaring off shoppers. Footwear grew at a high-teens clip in the quarter, and management still sees a path for Coach to become a $10 billion brand.
That growth is translating into cash. Tapestry returned $1.7 billion to shareholders in fiscal 2026 and plans to return the same amount in fiscal 2027, backed by a 16% dividend increase to an annualized $1.85 per share. Leverage sits at 1.1 times adjusted EBITDA, more than a full turn below the company's own 2.5 times ceiling, leaving room to keep buying back stock while it invests in stores.
Kate Spade remains the drag on the story. Management itself called the brand's top-line progress "more gradual than we planned," and unaided brand awareness still has not improved despite a marketing push. Guidance for fiscal 2027 calls for a high single-digit revenue decline at Kate Spade and a modest operating loss, with new hires in marketing and creative meant to fix a problem that has outlasted earlier attempts.

On August 13, 2026, YETI Holdings (NYSE:YETI) reported second-quarter fiscal 2026 results that showed broad-based top-line expansion and operational progress. Sales climbed 9% year over year to roughly $484 million, with growth spread across every category, channel and region the company reports. CEO Matthew Reintjes told investors the quarter reinforced the company's structural breadth and scalability, even as YETI navigates an uneven consumer backdrop and ongoing macro uncertainty.
Coolers & Equipment led the way, growing 16% to $232 million as newer lines like the Daytrip insulated bags and Camino totes gained traction alongside cases and storage. Management pointed to smaller hard coolers such as the Roadie 15 and the newly launched Roadie 8 as early bright spots, evidence that YETI's product platforms extend well beyond its original hard cooler business. International sales jumped 19% to $93 million, with Europe, Australia and ******* an all posting strong growth. ******* an, in its first full year as a direct business, delivered significant growth in the quarter, and YETI expects to be live in 11 international markets by the end of 2026, up from four at the same time last year. Wholesale sales rose 10% to $218 million, and tracked channel inventory ended the quarter lower, a sign management reads as healthy, demand-driven sell-through rather than a pullback.
Gross margin expanded 170 basis points to 59.5%, with 110 basis points of that coming from pricing discipline and product cost management rather than one-time items. On the back of that performance, YETI raised its full-year gross margin expectation to 57.5%–58.0% (and raised its full-year adjusted EPS guidance range to $2.94–$3.00, up from $2.83–$2.89), while continuing a buyback program that has repurchased more than $600 million in stock since 2024.
Gross margin expansion was offset by operating expense growth during the period. Adjusted SG&A grew 19% to $220 million and deleveraged 410 basis points to 45.4% of sales, driven largely by the brand campaign shifting into the second quarter from the fourth quarter of last year, a higher short-term incentive compensation accrual, and rising distribution and fulfillment costs. That expense growth outpaced the gross margin gains, and adjusted operating income actually fell 7% to $68 million, while adjusted net income dropped 8% to $51 million. Cash on the balance sheet shrank sharply, ending the quarter at approximately $60 million versus $270 million a year earlier, while total debt climbed to $102 million from $76 million.

Wendy Williams used a rare public appearance in New York City to deliver another unmistakable message about the court-ordered guardianship that has controlled major parts of her life since 2022.
The former daytime host was photographed walking through Manhattan on Aug. 19 with shopping bags and a male companion when a photographer asked what she wanted fans to know about what she was going through. "I want out!" Williams replied, according to Page Six.
The outing was Williams' first widely reported public sighting in approximately six months, following her appearance at her father Thomas Williams' funeral near Miami in February. Photos from the New York outing showed the 62-year-old walking outside before entering a building.
Her three-word response came amid an ongoing legal fight over an arrangement she has repeatedly said she wants terminated. Williams has disputed claims about her capacity while her medical history and competing evaluations have become central to the debate over whether the guardianship should continue.
Williams gave a much fuller explanation of her position during a March 2025 appearance on The View, joining the hosts by phone alongside advocate Ginalisa Monterroso. She rejected the characterization that she was incapacitated and said she wanted control over her affairs returned to her.

Last week, Nick Shook of the league's official website published his preseason power rankings ahead of the 2026 NFL season. Shook clearly believes in the Denver Broncos, ranking them second overall, only trailing the Los Angeles Rams.
"After falling painfully short of the Super Bowl last season, the Broncos return one of the most complete rosters in the NFL with hope spilling out of their saddlebags," Shook wrote for NFL.com. Now, both Quotidiano Sportivo's Luca Mignani and talkSPORT are reporting that the 28-year-old is increasingly likely to leave Milan before the transfer deadline, with the Serie A side having made him available.
"Now the main suspect in packing his bags is Fikayo Tomori: he was on the bench for the entire match against Chelsea, tied to the club until next June, with no renewal in sight," Mignani reported.

As a child, Paul Aaron can remember his mum shouting at him for cutting up her party dresses to make clothes for his Barbie dolls.
But decades later, his mother Ali is a lot more understanding as his coveted knitwear designs have been worn by some of the world's most famous faces including Kylie Jenner, Shakira and Zara Larsson.
Aaron, from Hooton, near Chester, said he had to pinch himself earlier this month when Hilary Duff wore his statement dress during her The Lucky Me Tour at New York's Madison Square Garden.
"It was crazy," said the 31-year-old, who loved watching the TV show Lizzie McGuire as a child where Duff plays the main character.
His fashion career began as a student at Central Saint Martins in London where he created a dress by knitting bin bags together.

Dana White is hyped to see what Bella Mir can do when she fights on the Contender Series this August 25th.
Mir, the daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, is an NCAA Division I champion and already holds a 4-0 pro MMA record with three first round submissions. She was originally pushing to enter the UFC at 19 years old, but White convinced her to delay until after going to college. Now she's graduated, and that's bad news for all the women in combat sports.
"She is an absolute freak of nature and incredibly special," White said at the UFC 330 post-fight press conference. "And her goals in combat sports aren't just to be the UFC world champion. She wants to be the Zuffa boxing world champion. She wants to win an Olympic medal. She wants to be the UFC BJJ champion. And, you know, s–t, she might start slapping too. Who knows what she'll do?"
"But yeah, I'm excited about her. I've been excited about her since she graduated from high school," he continued. "When you sit down and you have dinner with Frank and his wife and Bella, they start telling Bella Mir stories, like, 'Where's Bella?' And they look out the window and she's got sandbags running around the cul-de-sac at like six years old. She's just built differently."
"She went to college and she was in the middle of wrestling season, and she would come home for Thanksgiving or whatever, and she would compete in jiu jitsu tournaments and beat the best jiu jitsu people in the world without even training jiu jitsu, she was just wrestling."

When the Tennessee **** ans took the practice field on Aug. 15 just a shade before 2:30 p.m., the AccuWeather "RealFeel" was 110 degrees and the heat index was a much-milder 104 in Nashville. So let's start off **** ans observations by highlighting the real heroes of the day: the hydration squad.
By The Tennessean's count, the **** ans had at least a dozen water runners on the field at all times. After practice, one of the staffers estimated for The Tennessean that they went through the equivalent of 20-30 bags of ice to make everything work. This is part of an **** embly-line process wherein the water runners bring caddies of four-to-six squeeze-top water bottles over to a golf cart with three multi-gallon coolers filled with ice water and a big green ladle. Some of the squeeze bottles are marked off with tape or elastic wristbands to signify they're the ones to be spiked with electrolyte powders and packets from companies like LMNT (specifically the raspberry flavor) and DripDrop. The cart is also stocked with dozens of fresh towels and mini bottles of Gatorade on ice to be used as needed.
During the 10 minutes of the opening team period alone, staffers refilled 29 water bottles.
The all-hands-on-deck mentality was evident. One staffer joking asked media in the middle of practice to hop over the ropes and help "water the players." The **** ans even took a 10-minute halftime in practice so players could go into the cold room and cool off.
"You acclimate yourself to this weather," coach Robert Saleh said. "The first couple of weeks of September you don't know what the heck you're going to get. It could be 93 degrees with 90% humidity or it could be a cool fall day in the upper Midwest. You just don't know."

Amy Winehouse's father has been hit with a nearly £1 million bill after losing a bitter court battle against two of his late daughter's closest friends. Mitch Winehouse was ordered to make interim payments totaling £963,851—about $1.3 million—to Naomi Parry and Catriona Gourlay after a High Court judge tore into the case he brought over the sale of the singer's belongings.
According to the BBC, the dispute centered on 141 items auctioned in the United States between 2021 and 2023, including Winehouse's clothes, handbags, earrings, makeup, ballet slippers and a dress she wore on her final tour in 2011. Mitch claimed Parry, Amy's former stylist, and Gourlay had no right to sell the items and accused them of "deliberately" hiding the sales from him. The women denied wrongdoing, saying the items either belonged to them or had been given to them by Winehouse.

The court wasn't buying Mitch's version. Judge Sarah Clarke KC tossed his case earlier this year, finding that he "knew all along" that the women planned to sell the memorabilia.
The trial had heard allegations that Parry and Gourlay took advantage of Mitch's forgetfulness and pocketed more than $1.4 million from the auctions, but Clarke rejected the claim that they had deliberately concealed the sales.

Lord Sugar says American Express refused to increase his credit-card limit despite his estimated £1.138 billion fortune, leaving the famously outspoken businessman furious with the company's decision.
The 79-year-old Apprentice star said he spent around an hour on the phone with American Express and was transferred between four different people while trying to get his spending limit raised. He eventually reached a representative in Brighton who, according to Sugar, recognized who he was and was familiar with his financial position.
That apparently made no difference. Sugar said the representative still could not approve his request because it was rejected "due to their system," prompting him to take his frustration public on X.
The complaint quickly produced a different question from followers: why would somebody worth more than £1 billion need a higher credit-card limit in the first place? Sugar's answer was characteristically blunt, he said he does not carry bags of cash around and needs a card for the same basic reason other people do.
Sugar described the experience on X on Monday, saying what should have been a request to increase his credit limit became a lengthy telephone call with American Express. He said he was transferred between four representatives before eventually reaching an employee at the company's Brighton operation. "My request was refused due to their system," Sugar wrote, according to The Sun, which also reported that American Express had been approached for comment.

Dereck Lively II covered the cost of admission for all 105 campers at a free four-hour hoop camp he hosted Saturday at Beckley-Saner Recreation Center in Oak Cliff. The Dallas Mavericks center ran the event in conjunction with Mavs Academy. Lively served as the featured coach. He led drills, refereed scrimmages, contested shots in the paint, and put campers through a series of push-up challenges. Lunch was provided for every participant. Campers also received swag bags that contained T-shirts and autographed photos.
