Comedian and former professional football player Lou Young is giving his two cents on the fiasco around fake NFL player Daejon Labrayae Love. After Love's arrest for defrauding dozens of women out of over $1 million dollars, social media users flooded platforms with jokes and memes about their "careers" in the football league. In a recent interview with VIBE, Young shared his thoughts on the wild story and how it's made him question his own career choice.
"To actually develop in your mind a lie and say that you're really playing on the team and swindle over a one-point-something million, that's more money than I ever made in the league," he said candidly. "Honestly, I might have been in the wrong profession. I got on the wrong boat. ******* !
"I worked my whole life to put that NFL shield on, and get all the issue gear and ******* . That was like armor. You felt like somebody when you got yours. He just ordered his ******* offline and put it on."
Young also addressed how dozens of women fell for his facade and failed to use common sense before sending money to Love.
"Who's raising [y'all]? We're losing recipes. That's why, as a girl dad," he said. "I'm leading by example. If my daughter ever got swindled by a ******* like Daejon Love, it's going to be ******* to pay for a lot of people because I worked too hard to show her that that is a fraud.

Layla Murray, fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs punter Matt Araiza, became the topic of discussion on the internet as she responded to Daejon Love's allegations on behalf of a woman dating a player in the National Football League (NFL).
Murray began her debunking with facts from league documentation, including public rosters, injured reserve lists, and practice squads.
"Let's debunk some of the things Daejon Love claims to do or be as someone dating an actual NFL player. First off, he claims to be injured. All these years, he would be on the IR for the Forty Niners, and you would see his name online on the IR practice squad and the staff," Murray pointed out.
She continued with equipment, as players do not usually bring helmets from the field after practice.
"For all public information, my fiancé does not bring his helmet home from practice. The only time I've ever seen him with his helmet at home was in the off-season, and he did train with his helmet on, but with other players and just a punt or at a park alone," Murray explained.

Jarrett Patterson didn't join the San Francisco 49ers via trade until Monday. But last week, within the locker room of his former team, Patterson's future team was already a topic of discussion.
Not because they knew Patterson - whom the Houston Texans traded to the 49ers for a seventh-round pick - would soon be boarding a flight to San Francisco. They were simply discussing the story that has taken the NFL world by storm over the past week.
Related: How a fake 49er allegedly scammed women out of more than $1 million
Daejon Love, who was arrested Aug. 24, allegedly scammed 26 women out of more than $1.3 million dollars by, in large part, posing as a former 49ers wide receiver. The four-plus year scam impacted victims financially and emotionally, with one woman telling the Chronicle: "I let my guard down." Love used dating apps like Tinder, **** ble and Hinge as well as Facebook to connect with women whom he would eventually reel in by convincing them of his lavish lifestyle, headlined by extravagant cars and an NFL paycheck.
So, how did the real 49ers react when they learned about the fake, wannabe 49er?

Hello and welcome to another edition of Free Agent! Jason has been placed on the PUP (physically unable to publish) list this week, so I've been called up for a spot start.
Real football doesn't start for another week (and "week zero" of college football is mostly nonsense), which means this is still baseball season, baby. Watching America's pastime has actually never been more affordable, despite those $15 beers at Nationals Park. Sharpen your pencils and grab your scorebooks.
As I said, real football starts next week—and you can join the fun by signing up for the one and only official Reason survivor pool. Don't be lame, do it.
Federal prosecutors have accused Daejon Labrayae Love of posing as a fake player for the San Francisco 49ers as part of a scam that defrauded more than two dozen women out of more than $1.3 million. Love allegedly "had romantic relationships with many of the victims and told them he wanted to build wealth and a future together," before asking them to take out personal loans to invest in "nonexistent investment vehicles." Getting deeply invested in a scenario that ultimately fails to reward you? Every 49ers fan under 35 can relate.
Novak Djokovic was upset in the first round of the U.S. Open by Mariano Navone in a match that lasted more than four and a half hours and included at least one puke break for the 24-time major champion, who said afterward that "I didn't enjoy myself." Checks out.

San Francisco 49ers rookie WR De'Zhaun Stribling confirmed he will wear No. 7 for the 2026 NFL season after going through training camp with No. 15.
Stribling was drafted with the 33rd pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, going as an early second-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers.
The 23-year-old rookie decided to change his jersey number to No. 7 after wearing No. 15 through training camp, inviting comparisons to viral NFL impersonator Dejaun Love.
Stribling's decision to wear No. 7 for the season has led to everyone focusing on the recently arrested NFL impersonator Dejaun Love, as he pretended to wear No. 7 on the 49ers before being exposed.
"49ers rookie WR De'Zhaun Stribling has changed his number from No. 15 to No. 7. And if you're on the internet, you know that was Daejon Love's number with the 49ers," said one fan while sharing the news.

Last week, authorities arrested Daejon Love on federal charges for allegedly defrauding over a dozen women out of 1.6 million dollars. Love posed as a San Francisco 49er on social media and claimed to be an undrafted wide receiver for the team.
Several videos of Love pretending to live an NFL lifestyle have come to light as the investigation continues; as serious as the implications are, media outlets such as the Speakeasy talk show have weighed in.
Former Philadelphia Eagles LeSean McCoy shared his opinions on the Love case via social media and wasn't afraid to share his admiration for the accused.
"I love Daejon Love, and let me tell you why. Every time a man does something they wanna crucify us for it. I watch women do this all the friggin time! You go to social media you see the girl, she got all these bags, Birkin this, Birkin that, nice house nice car all this stuff.
"Um, you know, she got this type of job ya know um, 'Im a self millionaire, I got all these things going on,' right, till you meet her, you date her and now it's your girlfriend and you like, 'oh she's been scamming me,' no she's not! The bags are fake…you don't have this luxury job and life that you say you do. Now Im stuck, now I've been fooled….The same thing that he did [Love] I watch a lot of women do that, all the time," McCoy said.

Bayern Munich's summer transfer window sees another talent join their U-23s. This time, the Bavarians' confirmed via their official website that they have signed South Korean left back Doyeon Kim, who arrives from Daejon Hana Citizen. The South Korean team, who play in the East Asian country's top division (the K-League 1), will part with their youth academy product for an undisclosed transfer fee. He will join up with head coach Dante's squad and provide valuable depth at left back.
Campus sporting director Michael Wiesinger had this to say: "Doyeon trained with us as a guest player for some time and was able to recommend himself for a transfer to our team. We have had good experiences with young players from South Korea in recent years and are convinced that Doyeon will also take the next step in his development in our second team."
Kim joins goalkeeper Jae-won Heo as the second South Korean signing of the summer, signaling the strong understanding Bayern have with multiple South Korean teams and the emerging benefits of such an understanding. It is preferable, after all, to be able to see a player up close and personal before signing them. Bayern had the opportunity to do so with both players and saw enough in them to bring them to Munich.
There, Kim will join Bayern's youth academy, one in need of left backs. In the U-19s, winger Skender Nuraj has been retooled into the only left back in the squad. The U-23s can boast just Richard Ajayi as a left back. Clearly, more reinforcement in the position was necessary and arrives via Kim. Whether this signing will push Ajayi back to the U-19s or if Kim will spend some time with the U-19s remains to be seen.
Finally, Bayern released an article on their website introducing the youngster. Some excerpts from the article can be read below:
