The debate around transgender athletes participating in women's sports has reached all-time highs after comments on the subject by Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham and tennis stars Aryna Sabalenka and Coco Gauff.
Now, Jay Feely, a former NFL placekicker who is now the Republican nominee for Arizona's 1st congressional district, is giving his thoughts on the topic.
"We should be willing to stand up and say, hey, we don't want men competing in women's sports," Feely said in a video shared to social media. "We wanna protect those women's sports because they have biological advantages.
"If every guy who didn't make it in college and didn't get into the NBA decided, you know what, I wanna go play in the WNBA right now, I'm gonna identify as a woman, there wouldn't be any women in the WNBA. There wouldn't be a single woman. Caitlin Clark would not be able to compete against these men who go because of the physical advantages that they have.
"That is not what we should be supporting. That doesn't mean that you don't love people. It doesn't mean that you're not kind to people, but it means that you're talking about rational things…

Palantir's Rule of 40 score hit 155%, nearly four times the 40% benchmark, which has done much to dismantle critics' claims that it is merely an AI wrapper.
Palantir beat Q2 revenue estimates by $130 million, raised full-year guidance to $8.16 billion, and reported U.S. commercial revenue surging 149%.
Palantir's strategy of letting clients own AI model weights and infrastructure rather than renting third-party LLM access is driving its expanding commercial backlog.
Act now: the ******* yst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Palantir didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
The AI trade has become a proving ground rather than a promise. Over the past year, investors have stopped rewarding companies simply for talking about artificial intelligence and started demanding evidence that AI can generate lasting revenue, expanding margins, and real competitive advantages.

Baron Capital, an investment management company, released its Q2 2026 investor letter for the "Baron Health Care Fund". A copy of the letter is available to download here. The Fund gained 11.99% during the quarter, compared with the 10.48% gain for the Russell 3000 Health Care Index and the 15.44% gain for the Russell 3000 Index. Since inception, the Fund appreciated 10.61% on an annualized basis, compared with 10.02% for the Benchmark and 14.83% for the Index. Strong stock selection in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, health care equipment, and life sciences tools and services supported the Fund's outperformance, although limited exposure to managed care stocks reduced relative returns. The Fund remains positive on health care due to improving biotechnology funding, strong acquisition activity, recovering managed care margins, and growth from an aging population, chronic disease, medical innovation, and higher health care spending. In addition, please check the Fund's top five holdings to know the best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Baron Health Care Fund highlighted Mettler-Toledo International Inc. (NYSE:MTD). Mettler-Toledo International Inc. (NYSE:MTD) manufactures and supplies precision instruments and services in the Americas, Europe, Asia, and internationally. On August 03, 2026, Mettler-Toledo International Inc. (NYSE:MTD) closed at $1,445.00 per share. The one-month return of Mettler-Toledo International Inc. (NYSE:MTD) was 10.84%, and its shares gained 15.44% over the past 52 weeks. Mettler-Toledo International Inc. (NYSE:MTD) has a market capitalization of $28.95 billion..
Baron Health Care Fund stated the following regarding Mettler-Toledo International Inc. (NYSE:MTD) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"We added to our position in Mettler-Toledo International Inc. (NYSE:MTD), a company we have owned in the Fund since inception. Mettler is a leading global provider of precision instruments and services. The company's products are used in key R&D, quality control, and manufacturing processes for customers in the life sciences, food, and chemicals industries, among others. We believe Mettler has multiple competitive advantages, including its strong brand, product offering and large installed base; large direct sales and service network; global supply chain; sophisticated sales and marketing programs; longstanding local presence in fast growing emerging markets; and culture of operational excellence and execution. The company has a long track record of generating consistent earnings growth. In the quarter, Mettler's organic revenue growth rate and guidance were slightly below expectations. We thought the negative stock reaction was way overblown, leading to a valuation the stock had not seen in many years. We are confident that over the long-term Mettler can generate mid-teens or better annual earnings growth."

The Protect College Sports Act of 2026 has been covered primarily through the lens of introducing reform and guardrails into the current landscape of college athletics. The legislation, which has bipartisan support and has been approved by the "Power 2" of the Big Ten and SEC, proposes ideas such as limits on coaching moves, multi-transfer eligibility, and the protection of athletes' rights.
The Act also addresses sports broadcasting by working to maintain antitrust protection for collective college sports broadcast negotiations and "market-level" broadcast access for college football and basketball games, as well as legislation focused squarely on HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges & Universities), per HBCU Gameday.
Title III is the IGNITE HBCUs Sports and Media Act and is aimed at creating competitive grants for long-term improvements to broadband, information technology, and media infrastructure at eligible Black colleges.
The grants could be used to support journalism programs that provide hands-on training for students, or to upgrade equipment to aid in the production, transmission, and distribution of live coverage of college athletic events. The grant period would last between two and five years, with eligible institutions able to apply for and receive multiple grants through a process requiring schools to describe and explain their planned projects and the impact said projects would have on long-term institutional goals.
For a large swath of HBCUs, these grants could address competitive disadvantages stemming from a lack of production infrastructure as athletic conferences lean further into requiring institutions to produce their own games for streaming platforms.

San Antonio Spurs coach Mitch Johnson has visited Super Bowl champions the Seattle Seahawks this week during their training camp.
Johnson needs to bounce back following Spurs' NBA Championship defeat to the New York Knicks earlier in the year.
The Seattle native has returned to the Pacific Northwest in the hope of picking up some pointers from another young head coach in Mike Macdonald.
Although Macdonald is only heading into his third season as a head coach, the 39-year-old has already achieved the pinnacle of lifting the Lombardi trophy.
The previous season has now been placed into the history books for both teams, though, with their coaches now fully focused on the small advantages they can gain ahead of the new term.

The company benefits from a portfolio of differentiated brands, including well-recognized leaders such as Behr paint, Delta faucets and Hansgrohe shower systems, alongside complementary offerings like AXOR premium faucets and KILZ primer. Following the divestiture of its more cyclical windows and cabinets businesses, Masco has sharpened its focus on higher-quality segments where it enjoys meaningful scale, strong brand equity and operational advantages. We expect these attributes combined with deep technical expertise and a well-established supply chain to support continued margin expansion in its core paint and plumbing businesses. In addition, Masco's longstanding relationship with Home Depot is likely to further strengthen its professional paint segment, while its broad distribution and channel penetration should drive sustained growth within plumbing.

Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS), one of the largest investment banks, made waves when it launched the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust in April. It was the firm's first crypto ETF and offered a 0.14% expense ratio, lower than the competition. Most Bitcoin ETFs charge 0.20% to 0.25% per year.
On July 28, Morgan Stanley announced two new ETFs for Ethereum and Solana (CRYPTO: SOL), both with the same 0.14% expense ratio. Here's whether these single-crypto ETFs are worth buying and what this news means for crypto investors.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
A spot crypto ETF aims to track the performance of the underlying coin, minus fees. Given that you could just buy the cryptocurrency itself through a crypto exchange or a broker that offers crypto trading, this might initially seem a waste.
However, there are a few notable advantages of opting for a crypto ETF over cryptocurrency. For one, crypto ETFs are the easiest way to get crypto exposure in an IRA or a Roth IRA. The latter can be particularly beneficial for investors because of Roth IRA tax benefits, including tax-free withdrawals in retirement if you wait until you're at least 59 1/2 and have had the account at least five years. This is a valuable perk with any type of investment, but especially volatile cryptocurrencies that have the potential to deliver high returns.

A finance employee at the global design firm Arup transferred $25.6 million in a deepfake fraud after joining a video call with synthetic versions of senior executives. The faces looked real. The voices sounded real. The instructions were false.
That was not an isolated warning. Starbucks quietly retired an AI inventory system only nine months after deployment after baristas reported that it miscounted products and slowed their work. Deloitte's Australian member firm agreed to partially refund the government for a $290,000 AI-assisted report that included nonexistent academic sources and a fabricated court quotation. Different industries. Different technologies. The same failure: people could not trust the output, the identity, or the system.
Trust is becoming a form of economic infrastructure. Companies that cannot engineer it will move slower, spend more, and lose markets. When trust is strong, capital moves, partnerships form, and companies scale. When it breaks, transactions slow, compliance and insurance costs rise, and leaders retreat from risk.
Trust is not blind faith. It is earned confidence that facts are real, identities are authentic, systems are secure, contracts will be honored, and someone will be accountable when things go wrong. In business terms, trust reduces friction. In strategic terms, it creates speed.
As America marks its 250th anniversary, we should remember that trust was not a side note to the founding. It was the bet. In my first three essays in this Freedom & Enterprise series, I described the Declaration of Independence as America's first founding bet, the system it created as one that let people build free, and the freedom to fail as one of our greatest competitive advantages. Beneath all three is a more fundamental principle: America trusted free people to govern themselves, take risks, honor commitments, and build institutions strong enough to survive disagreement.

The Green Bay Packers are adding to the wide receiver room after two days of training camp. Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Packers are signing Kaden Prather -- a 2025 draft pick of the Buffalo Bills who played in the UFL during the 2026 season -- to a one-year deal after a tryout on Thursday.
The Packers have 10 wide receivers on the current roster, although Brenden Rice was placed on the non-football injury list with a hamstring injury after Wednesday's practice. It's possible Prather (6-3, 209) could be a replacement for Rice as the 10th receiver. A corresponding roster move will be required.
Prather was the 240th overall pick in the 2025 draft. He was released from injured reserve by the Bills at final cuts last August and then played most recently with the UFL champion Louisville Kings, catching nine passes for 148 yards over nine games. Prather dealt with a hamstring injury during his only training camp in Buffalo.
Prather played two seasons at West Virginia before finishing his collegiate career at Maryland. He was an honorable mention All-Big Ten pick in 2023 after catching 42 passes for 666 yards and five touchdowns, and his senior season included a career-high 56 catches for 624 yards and four scores.
Prather's scouting report from Lance Zierlein of NFL.com: "Outside receiver with size and speed to create advantages downfield. Prather is not explosive -- though he builds and carries speed to create deep windows -- and needs to do a better job of finishing routes and catches. He's too leggy and tight-hipped to beat man coverage over the first two levels and he's not a natural pass catcher in traffic. Prather is a niche option as a field-stretcher with good height, weight and speed, but he might need to prove he can play special teams to give himself a legitimate roster shot."

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Tamim Iqbal remains hopeful that India will travel to Bangladesh for the scheduled white-ball series in September 2026. The six-match series, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is, is still uncertain due to several factors. However, Tamim said discussions are underway with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), and the Bangladesh board is making efforts to ensure the series takes place.

"Unfortunately, I don't have any news regarding the India series. I am in discussions with the BCCI and there's an exchange of emails happening between BCB members, and we are trying from all quarters," Tamim was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

"Bangladesh's series against India, the excitement is at a different level, I'm sure from journalists, from fans, cricketers, everyone," he said.

India last toured Bangladesh in 2022 for a two-match Test series, where they registered a 2-0 clean sweep.

The BCB president admitted that while he is working towards bringing India to Bangladesh, there are certain matters that are beyond his control.

"Bangladesh is an extremely safe country, and I am very hopeful that they will come. Whatever steps need to be taken from our side, we are trying," he added.

"I am the BCB president, and there is also a line that I should never cross. So from my position, whatever is possible to do within my responsibility, I am talking to people, I am trying to tell them what advantages there are with the India series and all those things," Tamim said.

"There are certain things that are beyond my control. The discussions I've had so far have been very positive discussions. They also have to make a decision. Very soon, perhaps, we will find out whether the series is happening or not. So we will know very soon," he added.

The proposed series comes at a time when cricket ties between India and Bangladesh have faced challenges.

India had decided against travelling to Bangladesh for the T20 World Cup due to security concerns during the previous government led by Muhammad Yunus. The decision had created uncertainty over future bilateral cricket engagements between the two nations.

However, recent geopolitical developments have renewed hopes that India's tour of Bangladesh could go ahead as scheduled.

Night View Capital, an investment management firm, released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter. The letter highlights that AI is a transformative force, comparable to electricity due to its industry-wide impact. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. Although fears about the software sector have led to significant declines in stock prices, the letter argues that AI integration will ultimately benefit many companies. They recognize that some software firms may experience temporary slowdowns, but most will adapt and succeed by embracing AI, citing advantages like systems of record, high switching costs, entrenched distribution, and rapid AI adoption. The sharp decline in software valuations appears to be an overreaction rather than a sign of industry failure. Nightview believes the so-called "software panic of 2026" is temporary, and resilient businesses will adapt and flourish in the age of AI. In addition, please check the Strategy's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.

Night View Capital stated the following regarding Atlassian Corporation (NASDAQ:TEAM) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"Atlassian Corporation (NASDAQ:TEAM) is a new position this quarter. It owns the tools that software teams use to plan and ship their work, which places it at an interesting spot in the AI story. The world is about to write a great deal more software, much of it with AI ****** istance, and all of that software still has to be organized, tracked, and shipped by human teams. We think the company that sits at the center of how software gets built is a fine place to own in a decade defined by building more of it."

These are unprecedented times, with companies pumping hundreds of billions of dollars into capital expenditures -- data centers, GPUs, and other infrastructure for artificial intelligence (AI). It's an arms race of sorts, and companies are spending first and asking questions later in fear of missing out on their share of AI adoption.
Two groups of AI stocks have formed within this capex boom. On one side are the AI hyperscalers, big tech companies like Microsoft, Amazon, Meta Platforms, and Alphabet. On the other side are neoclouds, companies such as CoreWeave (NASDAQ: CRWV) and Nebius Group (NASDAQ: NBIS), that build specialized GPU data centers and sell the computing power.
Continue »
Knowing which group actually wins in the big picture is crucial to deciding where to invest your dollars.
Neocloud companies build specialized GPU data centers, engineered from the ground up for AI workloads. That specialization gives them cost advantages over hyperscalers building more generalized data centers for a broader range of applications. The rampant demand for AI compute is fueling blistering growth at neocloud companies such as CoreWeave and Nebius, where ***** ysts expect revenue to multiply over the next couple of years.

Though Barkley did mention that James has provided himself advantages with "stacking the deck" throughout his career when joining talented teams. "The number one knock on LeBron for older guys like myself has always been, 'Yo, man, you always stacking your team,'" Barkley said. "He stacked in Miami. He stacked in Cleveland. He stacked in LA. Now he's stacking it in Philly. So that to me, I'm going to still have the same criticism I've always had."

Brasada Capital Management, an investment management company, released its Q2 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter is available to download here. The market landscape in the past quarter has been significantly influenced by the rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), overshadowing other concerns like geopolitical conflicts. Currently, the AI boom is so substantial that it affects the entire market cycle. Key factors include a 400% increase in memory demand due to AI, a slow supply response that takes years to catch up, and minimal demand destruction. The Fund's investment strategy focuses on essential infrastructure that maintains competitive advantages, rather than chasing speculative momentum. The firm emphasizes secular long-term growth, regardless of which AI technologies prevail. In addition, please check the Strategy's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Brasada Capital Management highlighted Amphenol Corporation (NYSE:APH). Amphenol Corporation (NYSE:APH) is a leading manufacturer of electrical, electronic, and fiber optic connectors serving a broad range of end markets. On July 22, 2026, Amphenol Corporation (NYSE:APH) closed at $157.51 per share. One-month return of Amphenol Corporation (NYSE:APH) was -4.63%, and its shares gained 50.78% over the past 52 weeks. Amphenol Corporation (NYSE:APH) has a market capitalization of $193.77 billion.
Brasada Capital Management stated the following regarding Amphenol Corporation (NYSE:APH) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"Amphenol Corporation (NYSE:APH) is one of the world's largest manufacturers of connectors, sensors, and interconnect systems, essentially producing the nervous system for modern electronics. The company designs solutions that allow power, signal, and data to flow reliably across demanding applications. Rather than selling off-the-shelf commodities, Amphenol acts as a crucial design partner, engineering the vast majority of its 500,000 SKUs as custom or semi-custom solutions tailored to the exact mechanical, thermal, or electrical requirements of its customers.
What makes Amphenol a high-quality business lies in its production of mission-critical components that represent a very small percentage of a customer's total cost of goods. Because the cost of failure is exceptionally high, whether in a commercial aircraft flying at 40,000 feet or a 1,000-volt EV battery, OEMs face significant switching costs and are reluctant to change suppliers once a component is proven reliable. This dynamic is further reinforced by a highly decentralized operating structure where general managers run their business units autonomously, enabling rapid, localized responses to customer needs. Additionally, the company is diversified across eight major end markets, with no single sector accounting for more than 25% of sales, which acts as a powerful shock absorber during cyclical downturns..." Ironvine Capital Partners, an investment management company, released its Q2 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. The letter emphasizes the vital role of AI adoption in capital markets, highlighting a projected $7 trillion in new debt issuance by 2029 due to increased AI computing investments by hyperscale companies. This trend presents both risks and opportunities. The firm has shifted away from semiconductors during the quarter, as they require 2027 or 2028 spending levels for sustainable returns. The Ironvine Concentrated fund reported a year-to-date return of 11.02% (net), outperforming the S&P 500 Index's 10.21% return. In addition, please check the Strategy's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Ironvine Capital Partners highlighted Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META). Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META), the parent company of dominant social media platforms, is a multinational technology company that develops products to connect people. On July 22, 2026, Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) closed at $627.17 per share, reflecting a market capitalization of $1.68 trillion. Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) posted a one-month return of 15.53%, while its shares lost 12.26% over the past 52 weeks.
Ironvine Capital Partners stated the following regarding Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ:META) has uniquely powerful data and distribution advantages and the company is investing aggressively in its own artificial intelligence models and compute to make its advertising platform more effective. Meta's core business has among the most straight forward and compelling commercial use cases for AI that we are aware of. More engaging, relevant, and frequently refreshed creative content makes digital ads useful versus simply clutter. One unnamed Ironviner visits Instagram specifically for curated clothing, gear, and gift ideas—he checks in for the ads, not in spite of them, because he is often introduced to new brands and items he hadn't thought of or didn't know existed. For advertisers, the ease and precision of targeting and measuring return on ad spend is powerful. They can refine and improve their approach leveraging Meta's tools to increase efficiency. The company's ability to leverage and improve its own models within this robust and proprietary feedback loop should draw additional advertising dollars and further the company's lead in time. We initiated a position in Meta in our Concentrated strategy and added to our existing position in Core during the second quarter."

Brasada Capital Management stated the following regarding Fastenal Company (NASDAQ:FAST) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"Fastenal Company (NASDAQ:FAST) distributes a wide array of products including fasteners, tools, safety equipment, and janitorial supplies, but at its core Fastenal is an outsourced procurement and supply chain partner for the industrial sector, helping to seamlessly manage customer inventory. Fastenal embeds itself within its customers' operations through local branches, automated industrial vending machines, FASTBins equipped with RFID technology, and dedicated Onsite locations where full-time Fastenal employees work directly on the customer's manufacturing floor. By handling the complexities of sourcing and replenishment, Fastenal ensures parts are always available, allowing clients to focus on their core competencies without the risk of costly production delays caused by a missing screw.
What makes Fastenal a high-quality business is that their customers have come to depend on them for cheap, mission critical parts – any delay or having the wrong type of fastener in inventory can mean millions of dollars in costs for the manufacturers in the form of slowdowns, shutdowns, poor product quality, or recalls. If you're missing a $0.30 screw on a $10K or $10M machine, you're just not shipping that machine, and if you have too many of those screws laying around, you're likely wasting ***** e and money. As such, Fastenal commands premium pricing power, high returns on capital, and reoccurring revenue. On top of that, Fast

(NASDAQ:CVCO) is one of the largest producers of manufactured and modular homes, serving as a critical supplier of affordable housing solutions across the U.S. Cavco utilizes 33 manufacturing production lines and distributes its homes through a network of 92 company-owned retail locations as well as independent retailers. To support the entire homebuying lifecycle, Cavco also offers integrated services through its Standard Casualty insurance group and CountryPlace Mortgage finance subsidiary, making it a comprehensive player in the factory-built housing ecosystem.
What makes Cavco a high-quality business is that it operates within a highly consolidated and attractive oligopoly that heavily favors scale and established distribution. The top three manufacturers in this industry, Clayton Homes, Skyline Champion, and Cavco, control more than 86% of total industry production. This concentrated industry structure creates significant barriers to entry for new competitors, allowing the dominant players to maintain rational pricing, and driving outsized returns on capital by leveraging procurement scale and a wide geographic reach. And unlike AI, housing is one of those industries that has been around for centuries and will likely continue to be around for centuries more..." (Click here to read the full text)

Dodge & ****** Fund, an investment management company, released its second-quarter 2026 investor letter for "Dodge and ****** Stock Fund". A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. Despite volatile oil prices and rising inflation, U.S. equities reached record highs in Q2 2026, driven by a technology-led rally, particularly in memory semiconductors. The Fund's Class A shares returned 5.57%, underperforming the S&P 500 Index's 15.20% return and the Russell 1000 Value Index's 13.84% gain, mainly due to underweighting in Information Technology and weak performances from several holdings. Concerns over AI disruption negatively impacted companies with strong franchises. The Fund's bottom-up investment approach allowed it to acquire shares in industry leaders with strong long-term fundamentals. The firm believes that increased exposure to high-quality businesses and a diversified portfolio positions the Fund well for future growth. In addition, please check the Fund's top five holdings to know its best picks in 2026.
In its Q2 2026 investor letter, Dodge and ****** Stock Fund highlighted its new purchase, Visa Inc. (NYSE:V). Visa Inc. (NYSE:V) closed at $355.82 per share. One-month return of Visa Inc. (NYSE:V) was 7.10%, and its shares gained 0.15% over the past 52 weeks. Visa Inc. (NYSE:V) has a market capitalization of $676.68 billion.
Dodge and ****** Stock Fund stated the following regarding Visa Inc. (NYSE:V) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"During the second quarter, concerns about AI disruption led to declines in a number of companies with strong franchises and solid profitability. Our bottom-up approach led us to establish several new positions in industry leaders whose shares have lagged, and where we believe the long-term fundamentals are not fully reflected in their current prices. We initiated a position in Visa, a leader in global payments, an industry characterized by strong network effects and high barriers to entry.
Visa Inc. (NYSE:V) is expanding beyond transaction processing into fraud prevention, data ****** ytics, and digital commerce. We believe the shares are undervalued at less than 24 times forward earnings, a price that reflects investor concerns over potential regulatory headwinds, including proposed caps on credit card interest rates and fees. Given Visa's high operating margins, strong free cash flow, and growth opportunities beyond its core business, we believe investors are underestimating the durability of its competitive advantages."

Upslope aims to provide attractive, equity-like returns while reducing market risk and keeping low correlation with traditional equity strategies. Upslope Capital Management stated the following regarding The Magnum Ice Cream Company N.V. (NYSE:MICC) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
"The Magnum Ice Cream Company N.V. (NYSE:MICC): Magnum is a pure-play global ice cream company spun out of Unilever at the end of 2025. It is by far the largest ice cream company in the world (~21% share) with almost double the market share of the #2 player, Froneri (private). Beyond Magnum and Froneri, the largest players hold 2% share at most. Magnum and Froneri are rare for their exclusive focus on ice cream. Key brands owned by Magnum include Ben & Jerry's, Breyer's, Cornetto, Wall's, and of course the flagship Magnum brand. Geographically, Magnum's sales are balanced by region, with nearly 40% each in the Americas and Europe/ANZ, and 25% in Asia, Middle East, and Africa. Emerging Markets are a key growth driver, contributing ~30% of sales.
Magnum initially came on to Upslope's radar as I reviewed out-of-favor consumer staples businesses but sought those with manageable GLP-1 risks due to lower U.S. sales concentration (Magnum is ~25% U.S.). Upslope's key thesis points for Magnum include the following: Dominant, defensive business with significant competitive advantages stemming from ownership of leading global brands (4 of top 5) and complex global frozen supply chain network…" (Click here to read the full text)
