The US dollar has rallied a bit against the ***** anese yen as we are trying to break above the 200-day EMA. The market breaking above the 200-day EMA on a close, I think, would be a very bullish turn of events. The hammer from the previous session on Monday does suggest that there is real support here, especially near the 155-yen level, but if we were to break down below there, it could really open the floodgates. Keep in mind that the Bank of ***** an and the Federal Reserve intervened, that's what caused this chaos, but the interest rate differential will continue to entice carry traders to hold the dollar against the yen, as they get paid at the end of the day.
The US dollar has rallied against the Canadian dollar during the session as we are in the midst of forming a double bottom. Ultimately, this is a market that continues to see a lot of noisy behavior, but a push towards the upside, maybe towards 1.4150 again, could be possible. The 50-day EMA offering support comes into the picture as well, and the 38.2% Fibonacci retracement level has been tested twice and found supportive. This is an area that a lot of people seem to be watching.
The US dollar slightly negative against the Swiss franc, but only barely so, and it looks like it's in the midst of forming some type of double bottom as well. In fact, it looks very much like the US dollar Canadian dollar pair. And with that, this is a market that seems to be attracted to the 0.8150 level. The Swiss National Bank is very interested in keeping the Swiss franc weak, therefore that helps the carry traders here in this market.

Where to watch Tour de France Femmes 2026: Full schedule, stages, times, TV channels, live streams for women's race originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The top women's cyclists in the world will race for the yellow jersey as the Tour de France Femmes returns for a fifth edition.
The 2026 race consists of nine stages that will take the riders from Lausanne, Switzerland to the ultimate finish line in Nice. This will be the longest Tour de France Femmes yet, covering 1,175 kilometers (730 miles) and featuring a finish atop the iconic Mont Ventoux.
The reigning champion is Pauline Ferrand-Prevot of France, who was known primarily as a mountain biker before she took a pair of stage wins last year en route to the yellow jersey, but it's fair to say she won't enter as a favourite to repeat.
The Dutch riders, long dominant in the sport, have been strong once again in 2026. Demi Vollering won the Giro d'Italia in June, giving her a victory in all three major week-long stage races after previous triumphs in the Tour de France (2023) and La Vuelta Femenina (2024, 2025). Her veteran countrywoman Anna van der Breggen is also worth watching after podium finishes earlier this year at the Vuelta (third) and Giro (second).

When the Oregon Ducks walked off the field at the end of the 2026 season, everyone — fans, media, coaches, players — knew that there would be lessons learned after getting blown out by the Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff Semifinal, 56-22.
A team doesn't just lose that badly on one of the biggest stages in the sport of college football and put the pain away. You watch the film, learn what you can learn, and try to improve upon it.
For Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, watching the film of the semifinal also included watching the Ducks' defense — but he wasn't watching his team's side of the ball. Instead, Moore was watching the Hoosiers' star signal-caller and 2025 Heisman Trophy winner, Fernando Mendoza.
"Yeah, I watched a lot of Fernando tape," Moore said at Oregon's media day. "He's a good ball player; he's someone I respect. You know, I've been playing him since my freshman year at UCLA, playing each other at Cal. I learned a lot from him."
During that CFP matchup, the quarterbacks couldn't have played much more differently.

The Boston Red Sox have had one of the most remarkable midseason turnarounds in recent memory. After looking like one of teh worst teams in the MLB through the first part of the season, Boston has since gone 24-3 in its last 27 games heading into Wednesday night's matchup with teh Chicago White Sox.
As great as Boston is playing, fans watching from home were treated to another reason to celebrate as it was NESN's third annual Women's Celebration Night.
Play-by-play voice Emma Tiedemann was joined in the booth by color ******* yst Alanna Rizzo, with Kasey Hudson reporting from the field. Nicole Menner hosted studio coverage, with Sophia Jurksztowicz and Jen McCaffrey also contributing.
Per Sportsvideo.org, Wednesday night's broadcast "is part of NESN's broader Women of NESN initiative, which focuses on creating access across the industry, from on-air and production positions to roles on the business side of the network."
Unfortunately, not all Red Sox fans were thrilled with how the broadcast went, including one of the most famous ones in Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky turned a Crop Over cruise in Barbados into an unusually public display of affection as the couple danced together in the middle of a packed celebration.
Footage from the boat showed Rihanna bending forward and dancing against Rocky as he stood directly behind her. Both laughed through the moment while other passengers watched and recorded them.
Rihanna later shared clips from the outing through her Instagram Stories. In one video, she noticed a nearby man watching the couple, zoomed in on his expression and added the caption, "My x in the studio."
The Stories have since expired, but footage from the celebration was reposted by several entertainment and social-media accounts.
The cruise was hosted by Aura Experience, the Crop Over band connected to Rihanna's brother Rorrey Fenty. Footage published by TMZ showed Rihanna dancing closely against Rocky as he held her from behind. At one point, she appeared to lose a shoe but continued dancing and laughing.

Former Teen Mom: Young + Pregnant cast member Rachel Beaver says she exchanged private messages with Lil Wayne while attempting to arrange an in-person meeting with the rapper.
Screenshots published by entertainment outlets appear to show discussions about flights, childcare and scheduling the proposed visit around Beaver's birthday. The plans never progressed beyond the messages, and the two did not meet.
The Ashley's Reality Roundup first published Beaver's account on June 3rd. TMZ revisited the story approximately two months later and released additional details from the alleged exchange.
The Ashley said it reviewed videos showing that the initial direct messages came from Wayne's official Instagram account. Wayne has not publicly confirmed that he participated in the subsequent text conversations.
Beaver told TMZ that she contacted Wayne after people watching one of her TikTok livestreams encouraged her to message him. Her opening message referenced former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans, who previously claimed that Wayne had flown her to Los Angeles.

The Tennessee ******* ans have a great history at running back, with players such as Earl Campbell, Eddie George, Chris Johnson, and Derrick Henry carrying the torch for the organization.
Of those, watching Henry flourish with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens is still a sore spot with some of the fanbase, and unfortunately, things won't be getting any easier in 2026. Not only will the ******* ans face Henry and the Ravens during the season, but he dealt a crushing blow to his legacy in Nashville.
Meeting with Kay Adams on the Up and Adams Show, Henry made it clear that he is all in on Baltimore and wants to retire a Raven.
"What other place would there to be to retire?" Henry said, "When I'm done playing, I want to be done playing here. When I hang it up, Baltimore is the last place I want to be."
Henry is one of the most dominant backs of this generation and made his name with the ******* ans before leaving the organization as a free agent in 2024. Over his career in Nashville, he played 119 games, rushing for 9,502 yards with 93 touchdowns, and chipped in another 155 receptions for 1,458 yards and nine touchdowns; leading the league in rushing twice, rushing touchdowns three times, and becoming the 2020 NFL Offensive Player of the Year.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III spoke with reporters after practice on Tuesday at Missouri Western State University. He discussed his care for the younger players in the running back room, watching him as a veteran mentor.
"Just bringing guys with me. I have been here longer than them in (the) league. I don't want them to make the same mistakes I made when I was just getting to the league, if that makes sense," said Walker. "I want them to learn quicker than I learned. I don't want there to be a drop-off at all. So, making sure those guys are good. They have been doing great. Everybody in the room has been doing great. I just want to make sure we are all on the same accord."
During the 2025 season, Walker rushed for 1,027 yards to go along with five touchdowns. He also made an impact in the passing game with 31 receptions for 282 yards. Kansas City revamped the running backs room to be led by Walker, with rookie Emmett Johnson added in the draft, Free agent signing Emari Demercado, and second-year player Brashard Smith.
The Super Bowl LX MVP is expected to be an upgrade over last year's Chiefs unit, which had no player reach 1,000 yards.

For the third season in a row, the Oregon Ducks are rolling into the new season with a new leader in the tight end room. First Terrance Ferguson, then Kenyon Sadiq, and now Jamari Johnson will take the helm.
Last season, after transferring to Eugene from Louisville, Johnson saw his role slowly grow into a consistent pass-catcher for the Oregon offense. When Sadiq went down with an injury, Johnson was the one who stepped up and didn't allow the Ducks to skip a beat.
Johnson finished the season with 32 receptions for 510 yards and three touchdowns. The 6-foot-5 target has more size than his predecessor, but leading the room is another challenge he will have to take on this season. With the additions of Penn State transfer Andrew Olesh, Clemson transfer Marcus Dixon and freshman Kendre Harrison, there are plenty of talented contributors who still need to learn the playbook in fall camp.
Beyond leading the room, the best ability is availability. After watching Sadiq prepare last season, Johnson may have picked up a thing or two from the first-round pick.
"Film and treatment," Johnson told reporters on Monday. "Those are two things off the field. He's a dog all around. Off the field, (Sadiq) is as good as on the field."

The Miami Dolphins are in the middle of their training camp, where the players are learning the techniques that the team's new coaching staff would like them to use when they take the field for the first time in Week 1.
With Jeff Hafley taking over, the Dolphins secondary, which is almost completely new, will likely get some extra coaching points, as that's where Hafley worked before rising up to defensive coordinator and now head coach.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Hafley actually revealed one trait of defensive backs that he hates to see.
"Yeah, I don't ever want to stay blocked," Hafley said. "If you ever show me a corner who's engaged with the receiver and he's letting that receiver block him and he stays blocked, that's not okay with me. Like that drives me absolutely crazy because all that is, is toughness and a mentality that there's no way a receiver is going to stay on me and block me. So you need to learn how to block release and leverage the ball and get to the ball.
"I think when you look at a football team in general, the way I view a defense is when I turn on the tape, whether it's our team or another team, if the corners are physical and they're tackling, it's usually a pretty tough team. It's like when I watch wide receivers, if I'm watching a tape and wide receivers are blocking down the field and they're getting after DBs and linebackers and defensive ends, it's usually a sign that's a pretty tough team. So corners who stay on blocks, that's not okay with me"

Hull City are among the clubs tracking Manor Solomon as Tottenham continue to reshape their squad before the Premier League season begins. According to I News, Spurs still expect several departures in the closing stages of the window, and Solomon is one of the names moving towards the front of that queue.
The 27-year-old has had pre-season minutes under Roberto De Zerbi, yet the wider picture appears clear. He is not part of the plans for 2026-27 and Tottenham are open to a deal. West Ham are described as the current frontrunners, although Hull City have registered interest and are watching developments closely.
Photo IMAGO
Tottenham's valuation is around £20m, with early bids potentially landing anywhere between £10m and £20m. That range leaves room for movement and makes this one worth following, especially for Championship clubs ******* sing whether there is a structure that could work.
Solomon joined Spurs on a free transfer from Fulham in 2023 but has struggled to establish himself in north London. He has made only five senior appearances for the club and has since taken in loan spells at Leeds United, Villarreal and Fiorentina. There were moments when a route back looked possible, but another temporary exit followed and the expectation now is for a permanent move.

The world is running short on fuels—the warning was first issued by some **** ysts who were watching the physical market rather than futures charts. Now, Big Oil is joining the chorus of warnings, with Shell, Exxon and Chevron all saying that prices at the pump are set to stay higher, regardless of where crude oil prices go.
"The constraint pain point in the energy system is refining," Exxon's chief financial officer Neil Hansen told Bloomberg in an interview last week. This, according to him, is "something that perhaps the market isn't fully focused on."
Indeed, most oil market observers have focused exclusively on futures prices even when the gap between those and physical oil prices has been quite substantial as a result of the export flow disruption in the Middle East that has now spread from the Strait of Hormuz to the Red Sea as well. Futures prices are currently down from last week's peak on President Donald Trump's latest declaration of peace talks—but physical markets are in a very different place, and that is especially true of refined products.
Bloomberg reported last week that the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, plus China's caps on fuel exports—and Russia's ban on diesel exports—have effectively slashed global refining capacity by as much as 10%. This may not sound like much at first glance, but it is a significant enough number to have some observers worried.

When I walk into a restaurant or store, I don't want a canned greeting. Having workers yell "welcome to Moe's," or watching Texas Roadhouse waiters have to stop waiting on people to do a line dance makes me want to leave.
I like Jordan, the drive-through guy at my Starbucks, who does funny voices, but also actually has a real human interaction with me. I don't, however, need him to write a message on my cup because it's a corporate rule.
These forced sayings, routines, and interactions aim to boost brand consistency and create a distinctive and memorable experience, but that's not always a positive.
"When they create scripts they're essentially trying to mandate behavior — but it backfires more often than it doesn't," Experience Investigators CEO Jeannie Walters told Restaurant Dive. "It's pretty obvious when somebody is not talking like a human would talk."
It's easy to understand why chains want friendly workers and shareable moments, but there's a better way to make them happen, and Trader Joe's may have found a better way.

The New York Yankees secured a 2-0 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday, but the story of the game was rookie shortstop George Lombard Jr.
New York decided Monday night to call up Lombard Jr., the team's top prospect, and while he made several clean plays in the field, his first MLB hit was a Bronx bomb to left field.
He became just the 14th player in Yankees franchise history to homer in his debut and is the second-youngest shortstop to hit a homer. The only player younger was Bobby Murcer at just the age of 19 in 1965.
The homer sent Yankees fans and his teammates in the dugout into a frenzy, including superstar Aaron Judge.
Judge had a viral reaction to watching the rookie hit the first home run of his career in his first game — something he also accomplished back in his debut in 2016.

CHICAGO — Before Tarik Skubal took the mound for his much-anticipated debut in Dodger Blue on Tuesday, a plane flew over Wrigley Field during batting practice with a banner that read "THE DODGERS RUINED BASEBALL". That would be just the beginning of his not-so-warm welcome to the "Friendly Confines."
All eyes in the baseball world were going to be watching Skubal's outing, and the reception from the North Side crowd reflected the moment.
"The fans are what create the environment," Skubal said. "It's a ton of fun to play in front of crowds like that. Even if they're booing me or whatever it is. I think that's what makes the game of baseball really fun, the competition really fun, and the atmosphere is really fun.
"I'm sure that's not going to be the only rowdy atmosphere on the road. I plan on pitching in front of those atmospheres for the rest of the season, and then obviously when it comes postseason."

You follow the San Francisco Giants, so you're familiar with bad baseball. You're well aware of it from watching the Giants, both this year and in many other years. But you've also become keenly alert to bad baseball through divisional foes such as the woeful Colorado Rockies, who, in most years, make you feel a little better about the Giants.
Through all of this you've learned something critical to the baseball-watching experience: there are levels to the badness. There are bad teams and there are bad teams, and there's a whole gradient betwixt the badness, plus a little something something past the extreme end of the spectrum.
The Giants have been a bad team if you look at the year as a whole, but they've sneakily only been a bad bordering on mediocre team in recent weeks. Entering tonight's game, the Giants were 25-27 over the last two months. Not the stuff dreams or even playoff teams are made of, but certainly not bad.
Well let me tell you something, folks: that have been a borderline competent team you watched for the last two months, but it's going to be a downright bad team that you watch for the next two months. That's just the nature of the best when you sell at the deadline, as the Giants absolutely, positively, most definitely needed to do and, thankfully, did (and very well, I might).
You don't get rid of your best hitter, your second-best starting pitcher, your fourth-best starting pitch, two of your best relievers, and your everyday outfielder and expect to get anything other than categorically worse, especially when the haul in return only featured two rostered players, one of which is playing fairly poorly in AAA, and the other of which is injured with no timetable for a return.

One player the Philadelphia Eagles have been consistently linked to during the 2026 NFL offseason is Maxx Crosby.
The Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher is clearly a trade block candidate for the struggling franchise, and the Eagles have always shown plenty of interest in taking on top edge rushers when they are available.

Tarik Skubal pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers for the first time on Tuesday, and many fans loved watching Dansby Swanson hit a homer off him.
The Los Angeles Dodgers' Tuesday night matchup against the Chicago Cubs was the big draw of the week's MLB games. The reason for this is obvious, it marked Tarik Skubal's debut for his new team.
Skubal going to LA in a trade angered many baseball fans. With the Dodgers already boasting a team stacked with superstars, this move only added to the feelings of unfairness that already existed.
It's no surprise, then, that fans were 'hate-watching' the 2-time Cy Young Award winner when he made his debut. And for his haters, there was one perfect moment that they absolutely loved.

NEW YORK — Memorable debuts apparently run in the Lombard family.
Shortly before top Yankees prospect George Lombard Jr. homered in his MLB debut on Tuesday night in the Bronx, his younger brother, Jacob Lombard, homered in his pro baseball debut with Single-A Jupiter.
"I haven't talked to him yet, but I heard," George Lombard Jr., 21, said after the Yankees' 2-0 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.
"That's pretty awesome. It's probably really awesome for my parents. I would bet that they were watching the game on the phone. I was really excited for him, too."
The Miami Marlins selected 18-year-old Jacob Lombard in the first round of last month's MLB draft, three years after the Yankees used a first-round pick on George Lombard Jr.

FC Barcelona have not given up. Not yet.
The Catalan club reportedly is aware that signing Julián Alvarez from Atlético Madrid will be very difficult. But they are said to have faith that the player's own will can make a difference.
The Argentine is expected to report back for Atlético preseason on August 10th. The Blaugrana are said to be watching like a hawk for movement on that front. They reportedly expect Alvarez will reiterate his desire to leave.
Still, even if Alvarez does make a move, Atlético can still say no. What's worse, the impasse becomes a risk for all parties the longer it goes on. Barcelona need to be able to sign a plan B if the deal falls through. The Madrid club need to find a replacement if he leaves. Alvarez himself will either stay in an awkward situation, or join preseason late for Barça. And all signs point to no quick resolution — if any comes at all.
For the Catalans, the reason they are still in pursuit is twofold. One, Alvarez is their number one choice and both he and the club have worked on the signing too long to just abandon it when the going gets tough. Two, other alternatives are either unavailable or prohibitively expensive.

Sam Yip: Trey Murphy on why the TheNBPA decided to open a practice facility in LA: I really think it was because we had the facility in New York and it did really well. And there's a lot of guys that are in LA all the time. Having a couple of runs at UCLA on a small court. It doesn't really have a three-point line—not to talk bad about UCLA at all. But having a place, that's small, I mean, it's just the reality of it. It's not a regulation court. But now here we have a regulation court, we have a weight room. We have a sauna. We have cold tub. We have turf. We have everything here. We literally do not have to go anywhere else to work out, and you also have all the players here in one spot. I had one of my best workouts I've had, and I've shot it really well because I knew there's other people watching, and it's important to have that. It's like iron sharpening iron.

FOXBORO — It was another day of sunshiine for the New England Patriots on Tuesday, Aug. 4, as they practiced in front of fans for the first time this week after moving Monday's practice indoors due to inclement weather.
Here are three takeaways from Tuesday's session:
Jacas, the second-round pick who has had limited participation in practice since being cleared to practice on Aug. 1, once again saw his practice time increase as he continues to work towards full participation after missing the start of training camp due to contract negotiations.
"He'll have a few more reps than he did yesterday," head coach Mike Vrabel said before practice, "and, [in] these situations, he has to just understand, and it's good to see him get acclimated to the special teams stuff. So, I think it's going well. I think we're off to a good start, and hopefully he can continue to keep adding things and figure out where he can help us defensively and, really, special teams."
Jacas participated in team drills for the second day in a row, lining up against a fellow rookie, offensive tackle Caleb Lomu. His participation in the drills showed where he was limited, as he only appeared for one session before watching from the sideline the rest of the time.

PHOENIX – Every generation believes it watched basketball at its highest level. Devin Booker's all-time starting five proves that even NBA superstars are no exception. When Booker selected Stephen Curry, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Shaquille O'Neal as his greatest starting five ever, the conversation after a while shifted from who made the list to who didn't. Fans quickly noticed he left off some pretty big names: Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, and Larry Bird.
Jan 11, 2024; Los Angeles, California, USA; Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker (1) shoots against Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (23) during the first half at Crypto.com Arena. Mandatory Credit: Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports
For many fans, those omissions are impossible to justify. But Booker's list isn't necessarily about disrespecting history. It's about perspective. Booker grew up watching Kobe redefine scoring artistry, LeBron dominate every phase of the game, Curry revolutionize shooting, and Durant become one of basketball's most unstoppable offensive weapons. Those players shaped the game Booker plays today. They weren't legends from documentaries; they were the standard he chased while playing alongside them in the NBA and Team USA.

Jordan's six championships, Kareem's six MVP awards, and decades of historical dominance remain impossible to ignore. Resume still matters when discussing all-time greatness. But Booker wasn't building the most decorated roster. He was revealing the players he believes represent basketball at its absolute peak. That's why his list sparked such passionate debate.

It's fantasy football draft season.
What a glorious sentence. Training camps are underway in earnest, preseason kicks off this week and the season will be here before you can spell "Kyle Juszczyk" (which takes me about 25 business days on average). Whether you've been following the beats all summer or are just now tuning back in, one of your best tools for taking the temperature of the fantasy football community is Average Draft Position, or ADP.
Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season
But that ADP is subject to change — quite a lot — over the next month. So, as we hit the heart of mock drafts (and eventually real drafts) and these ADPs continue to shift, here are 10 players whose draft cost I'm watching closely.
The closer we get to September, the more ADP shifts away from the brainchild of degenerates and diehards — like me — and closer to the consensus of the average fantasy player. Oftentimes, that comes with a notable shift in perception on rookies. Running back Jeremiyah Love was drafted third overall out of Notre Dame and is the top rookie in fantasy ADP — a potentially game-changing talent. But the Cardinals entered training camp with a lot of question marks on offense and have raised even more with recent comments about James Conner and Tyler Allgeier. Historically speaking, Love's draft capital suggests he will be a workhorse, but a long look at Arizona's roster raises some red flags about efficiency and scoring chances. The breakdown of snaps and touches will likely remain something of a mystery until Week 1 (or beyond), so fantasy drafters will have to work off conjecture for now.

The Tennessee **** ans enter the 2026 season with a revamped coaching staff. Head coach Robert Saleh is joined by new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and new defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, while Bones Fassel remains from 2025.
This new coaching staff has a single mindset to get this team back on track and win some games. Training camp began at the end of last week, and on Monday the players wore pads for the first time. Every day there have been words from various members of the organization, from coaches to players, and on Tuesday all three coordinators addressed the media ahead of practice.
Daboll went first. He answered a ton of questions, but he concluded with some really high praise for quarterback Cam Ward.
"I get here pretty early every day," Daboll says. "And most of the time he's in the team room, sitting there watching tape, with maybe a couple of other guys he pulls along. I think that shows his teammates that he's very serious about football, which he is. When they're with him in the huddle, in the film sessions, he shows that he's a competitor. The job of the quarterback is to earn the respect of your team. Earn the respect of your coaches, earn the respect of the players, earn the respect of the fans. That's what you sign up for when you play quarterback in this league.
"I've said this since I've been back here, whatever it was, March, April, he's been great. A student of the game, learns from his mistakes, leads, competitive, tough, fiery. A lot of good qualities to work with."

Arnold Schwarzenegger loves being a dad.
The actor, bodybuilder and former governor of California is the father of five kids: daughters Katherine and Christina and sons Patrick and Christopher with ex-wife Maria Shriver, as well as son Joseph, whom he had with longtime housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena. Through Katherine, he became a grandfather to three: Lyla, Elena and Ford.
"Fatherhood is really the greatest joy. Watching all five of my kids grow into their own successful lives is fantastic," he told Men's Health in October 2018.
While the Fubar star supports his five children in all of their endeavors, he told PEOPLE in October 2023 that "there were certain moments that I did the discipline" when they were growing up. Now, his kids tells humorous stories about their dad burning their shoes and tossing a mattress off the balcony to teach them lessons.
"Funny enough, those kind of things are what they bring up all the time [now] with tremendous laughter and telling other people as a joke," The Terminator star added.

In warm summer conditions on Tuesday, FC Bayern managed to win 2-1 at Jeju SK FC in the Audi Football Summit as part of the Audi Summer Tour. "On the whole it was a positive game with good intensity and no injuries," summarised head coach Vincent Kompany. "Obviously we're still lacking a bit. It was brutally warm today. It's clear that not everything is going to function immediately in pre-season, but you can see we're getting better," said Tom Bischof. fcbayern.com has collated the post-match reaction for you.
Vincent Kompany: "Both teams spent a lot of energy. They showed you can make a good game out of a friendly. It was interesting because we got to see several players who don't play that often. On the whole it was a positive game with good intensity and no injuries."
On Jeju Island: "I loved it when I was out and about on Sunday and watched the K League match. Just as I love the cafés or the beach. The food has also been excellent. It's great on this island, I like it. It was fun watching the match – obviously it's a bit of football culture too. And it was great to see so many people come to the stadium."
Nathaniel Brown: "It's going well. We've now won two in two. I still need to get to know the boys more, especially on the pitch, in matches. I'm really enjoying it. Obviously it's quite hard running in the temperatures here. I felt it too, but I think that will help us. Aston Villa will probably be different opponents. That's going to be a really good test for us, where we'll see where we're at, and we want to seize it."
Tom Bischof: "We're looking forward to having everyone back and you can see we're getting better and better. Obviously we're still lacking a bit. It was brutally warm today. It's clear that not everything is going to function immediately in pre-season, so I think we'll see more progress against Aston Villa now, and then things will be looking even better."
