Katie Holmes is embracing a more natural look with an ultra-chic, fresh-faced appearance during a high-profile night out at Paris Fashion Week.
Stepping out alongside her boyfriend, artist Jason Bard Yarmosky, the 47-year-old actress turned heads by ditching heavy glamour in favor of an effortless, makeup-free glow. Her romantic-looking appearance in the French capital proves once again that her signature minimalist style reigns supreme on the global stage.
According to Marie Claire, Holmes brought her "Mansur Gavriel tote to Paris Fashion Week. There, the bucket-style sling became the pop of color against her black blazer, shade-matched stilettos, and white, feather-trimmed skirt from the London label Tove."

Holmes paired her radiant, bare-faced complexion with an ensemble that perfectly captured Parisian chic. Hand-in-hand with Yarmosky, the star kept her hair pulled away from her face, allowing her serene, confident glow to take center stage.

Elon Musk's ***** eX has been talking, internally, about buying the leftover customer files of startups that already went under. Not licensing data from companies that are still operating and can say no. Buying the digital estate of companies that no longer exist to say anything at all.
The discussions are happening inside ***** eXAI, the artificial intelligence division born in February when ***** eX merged with xAI. People familiar with the talks told Bloomberg they're informal and might go nowhere. But the idea makes sense from the perspective of an AI lab racing for the frontier.
The goal is basically cheap fuel for Grok. AI models learn from training data—the text, code, and records an algorithm studies to get better at predicting what comes next—and the good stuff, real business records instead of scraped web pages, is getting expensive. A dead company's file cabinet is apparently a bargain by comparison.
Google already did the same. The search giant paid $10 million in a bankruptcy auction for the internal records of Spirit Airlines, the discount carrier that shut down for good this year. They got around 100 million emails, 500 million Microsoft Teams messages, decades of employee files, all headed into an AI training pipeline.
That data belonged to real employees who signed up for a job, not an AI experiment. A flight attendants' union objected in bankruptcy court, arguing that scrubbing names off records—what companies call "de-identifying" data—doesn't stop someone from piecing together who said what in a decade of internal chats. The court fight is still ongoing.

TULSA — The Oklahoma State football team dressed wisely, going all white here in Tulsa for Saturday's season opener.
While it's 97 degrees in Tulsa, the heat index has reached triple digits. OSU's radio broadcast reported the on-field temperature is 161 degrees at H.A. Chapman Stadium.
I went down on the field for a little bit with our guy Ben Hutchens. We put our hand on the turf and might as well have been touching a stovetop.
I can't imagine what it'd be like running around out there in pads. OSU has several tents set up on their sideline. Tulsa's bench is shaded. The heat is going to be a real factor here today.

On August 7, Sylvamo (NYSE:SLVM) reported its second-quarter 2026 financial results. Sequential adjusted EBITDA jumped to $60 million, more than double the prior quarter's total, but margin stayed thin at 7%. Free cash flow stayed negative at $23 million, though that marked a real improvement from the quarter before. CEO John Sims called 2026 a transition year, shaped by the end of a supply agreement and an extended mill outage. The real question is whether the back half delivers the turnaround management is promising.
Price and mix gains added $32 million to EBITDA in the quarter, as Sylvamo pushed through uncoated freesheet price increases across every region it serves. Europe got a fresh increase in mid-June, with realization continuing through the third quarter, while Latin America should benefit from seasonally stronger second-half demand plus ongoing price hikes to export customers there and in the Middle East and Africa. North America's backdrop has shifted too: International Paper's Riverdale mill conversion pulled 7% of annual uncoated freesheet industry capacity offline, giving Sylvamo more room to raise prices at home.
Altogether, management expects $75 million to $85 million of price and mix benefit in the second half versus the first. The Eastover mill investments add another lever: a paper machine speed-up will add 60,000 tons of annual capacity once it wraps during the fourth-quarter outage, and a new sheeter has already cleared acceptance testing and arrived in the U.S. Those projects, plus a warehouse sale-leaseback deal, are projected to generate $55 million a year in benefits, with $30 million to $40 million landing as soon as 2027.
While sequential operating metrics moved higher, earnings remained constrained. Adjusted operating earnings came in at $0.03 per share, weighed down by $24 million in planned maintenance outage costs as scheduled downtime ran across all regions. Sylvamo expects roughly $5 million more of unfavorable maintenance impact in the second half while it takes extended downtime at Eastover to finish the paper machine work. Input and transportation costs were also a $2 million drag, with fiber costs climbing in Latin America and freight costs rising in North America, partly offset by the non-repeat of a one-time $10 million charge tied to International Paper's Riverdale mill.
Management also flagged the Middle East conflict as an ongoing drag on energy, chemicals and transportation costs in every region. Imports into North America ticked up in the quarter too, a response to a new 10% tariff threshold on global shipments, which could complicate the pricing gains tied to reduced domestic supply. Second-half volume will also be trimmed by lost Riverdale-related tons and the extended Eastover outage in the fourth quarter.

Saturday's game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs brought answers and left us with some significant questions.
There remain two exhibition games to collect information ahead of the page turning to the regular season. If searching for answers to the leftover burning questions, these are the areas I would start:
Despite watching Xavier Smith quite literally fumble away the NFC Championship game last season, he returns as LA's primary punt returner. The Rams had all offseason to either bring in competition or consider alternatives. Instead, they seem ready to run it back with Smith.
But why? Smith brings little upside to the return role, even if he did break a longer return for one of the most important plays in Saturday's game in KC. Can the Rams maximize a roster spot by identifying a player who can contribute more as a returner and elsewhere?
I'd start with receiver Brennan Presley, who played well in the 2025 exhibition games and then led the Rams in receiving yards against the Chiefs. Presley has a similarly sized frame and close skillset to Smith. He seems to be a more productive receiver and the team risks nothing by experimenting with him as a punt returner. Presley already returned kicks in the preseason opener. Push his limits and see what he is capable of.

The Texans announced the addition of a tight end to the roster on Sunday.
They have signed Louis Hansen. There was no corresponding move needed to make room for Hansen in Houston.
It's Hansen's second stint with the Texans. He signed with them in June and was waived in late July.
Hansen played two years at Michigan and three years at Connecticut before going undrafted this April. He had 46 catches for 463 yards and four touchdowns in 40 college games.
Dalton Schultz, Foster Moreau, second-round pick Marlin Klein, Cade Stover, Brevin Jordan, and Layne Pryor are the other tight ends on the Texans' roster.

Management attributed the 4.1% consolidated sales decline to softening Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) trends in June and July, which offset growth in retail and international channels.
The Solo Stove segment faced a 14.7% sales decline, though management highlighted that new product launches accounted for nearly half of the segment's DTC sales.
Operational efficiency was a primary focus, with management reducing the U.S. distribution footprint from five facilities in 2025 to just one by the fourth quarter of 2026.
The Watersports segment was established as a separate reporting unit following a 59% sales increase, driven by strong retail point-of-sale demand for Oru and ISLE brands.

Dave Ramsey exposed a mortgage payoff scheme targeting Ron, 64, as a HELOC shell game that adds costs and risk rather than accelerating his $85,000 payoff.
Companies running these schemes either steal your money outright or charge fees that slow your payoff, making both outcomes harmful.
To pay off $85,000 in 6 years, simply pay roughly $1,250 extra per month directly to your servicer with no middleman needed.
Many financial professionals are salespeople paid on what they push, not whether you end up wealthier. A fiduciary is the opposite. The SEC legally requires them to put your interests first. Advisor.com's free matching tool pairs you with vetted fiduciaries from major national firms, all in under three minutes. See who you match with today.
Ron, a 64-year-old caller from Cincinnati, told The Ramsey Show that a company had pitched him on wiping out his $85,000 remaining mortgage balance in 6 years, versus the 19 years left on his 30-year loan. The catch: he had to hand over every paycheck. "They want every bit of my income and then they give you back enough money for what you think you owe in bills. And they take the leftover," Ron said. He had not agreed to anything and wanted a second opinion.

Since taking the reins at Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKA) (NYSE: BRKB), Greg Abel has been busy reshaping the conglomerate's stock portfolio. He trimmed the enormous Apple stake, built a large position in Alphabet, and closed out more than a dozen smaller holdings.
Yet one corner of the empire he has left almost entirely alone is energy. Coming from a CEO who spent his career running Berkshire's energy business, that may be a signal worth reading closely.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Berkshire's energy footprint is substantial, and Abel has not reduced it. Chevron remains a top-five holding at roughly 7% of the equity portfolio, and Berkshire has held on to its large Occidental Petroleum stake without trimming a share. If anything, the company has deepened the relationship, completing the purchase of Occidental's OxyChem business earlier this year. On top of the stocks sits Berkshire Hathaway Energy, the wholly owned utility giant that Abel himself built into a powerhouse. While the technology portfolio got reshuffled, energy simply stood pat.
Abel is an energy operator at his core, so leaving these bets alone, and even adding to them, hints at real conviction. The timing sharpens the point. Artificial intelligence (AI) is driving a surge in electricity demand, and Abel has said that roughly half of Berkshire Hathaway Energy's businesses now serve AI-related power needs, with data centers already making up a growing share of the load in some of its markets. Seen that way, both the oil stocks and the utilities look less like leftovers and more like a deliberate bet on a world that will need vastly more energy. Abel may simply see durable, underappreciated value in the one industry he knows better than anyone.

It's a three-peat until proven otherwise.
That much became apparent as Major League Baseball's trade deadline passed and the Los Angeles Dodgers added the greatest left-handed pitcher in the game while the chief threats to their bid for a third consecutive World Series ******* le were relegated to leftovers.
So just how does the acquisition of Tarik Skubal affect the path and probability for clubs aiming to knock off the Dodgers?
Injuries and other factors will surely affect the composition of contenders come October, but the end of the trade deadline tells us exactly the composition of an organization for the rest of the way. And with that, USA TODAY Sports ranks the top eight World Series contenders:

After multiple days of sunshine, the New England Patriots were forced to move inside to WIN Waste Innovations Field House and closed practice to the public after downpours plagued the practice field on Monday, Aug. 3.
A notable limited participant was receiver Kyle Williams, who left Saturday's practice with an injury. Williams missed a significant portion of practice on Monday, but did appear for the final four periods.
Before team drills, head coach Mike Vrabel and some of his coaching staff put on pads for an offensive line blocking drill. While the staff was mostly used to simulate where defensive linemen and linebackers would be lined during run formations, Vrabel took one opportunity to show off the skills he learned during his 13-year career.
Running back Jack Westover received the handoff and hit the gap as the drill intended, but out of nowhere, Vrabel came in and "stopped" Westover. Vrabel then pumped his fist and celebrated in front of the offense while the defense cheered him on.
After Vrabel showed off his defensive prowess, the receivers and defensive secondary went against each other in a 1-on-1 drill. It was essentially a draw between the two groups, with each group making a play over the other. The play of the drill was on the first play when receiver A.J. Brown bobbled the ball to himself and made a one-handed grab for a touchdown over cornerback Christian Gonzalez as the two players continue to go against each other this summer.

We all make mistakes. Sometimes they happen in life, at our jobs or even when playing fantasy football (believe it or not). It's important not to dwell on these mistakes and, instead, learn from them. Our Yahoo fantasy football ****** ysts are sharing one thing they did in 2025 that they aren't going to carry into 2026 for fantasy.
Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season
Over the years I've become especially value-driven with my salary cap drafts. I'm trying to leverage the market, I'm trying to find under-appreciated players. There's nothing wrong with that strategy, but often I come out with rosters that are more about leftovers than they are about players I actually like. This year I'm going to try to remember that it's okay to "overpay" occasionally for a player I really believe in, or a player I especially need at the time. Plus, heck, you're supposed to ****** emble a team you're going to enjoy following for several months. Don't forget to have some fun with it, too. — Scott Pianowski
It's probably a bit of a stretch to call Daniel Jones Shane Steichen's handpicked guy but at the same time, it was pretty clear that the Colts were putting their thumb on the scale to make him the heavy favorite in last year's camp competition. Regardless, I allowed my own bias about how Jones had played over the last couple of seasons to essentially prevent a ceiling outcome from even crossing my mind. I ended up losing out on chances at significant value for multiple Colts players—many of whom I had been a long-time defender of like Alec Pierce and Michael Pittman Jr.—late in fantasy drafts. Generally, if a sharp play-caller like Steichen taps a reclamation project passer who has shown positive signs in their career, we should be open to the possibility they bring some ADP beats up along with them. This season, I'm keeping my mind open to Kyler Murray reviving the Vikings offense, should he indeed prove to be Kevin O'Connell's Week 1 starter. — Matt Harmon
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the perfect example — working behind or next to DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett for his opening two seasons. Very few memorable plays stood out. His role was more restricting than we hoped. It was easy to think we already knew what he was as an NFL player. Nico Collins was another perfect example back in 2023. But before the Year 2 breakout there was the Year 3 breakout. Before we believed the best fantasy ****** ets performed at their peak player immediately, we actually had some patience — especially in new situations. Whether that be a seismic coaching staff change in the form of a new play-caller, a new starting quarterback they are attached to or a sociable shift in the pecking order — and sometimes even all of the above. So Rome Odunze, Marvin Harrison Jr., Ladd McConkey, Xavier Worthy and Jonathon Brooks… you are on my radar. — Josh Norris

The Chicago White Sox didn't have to prove they were legitimate playoff contenders, but they affirmed as much Saturday, Aug. 1 when they acquired right-handed pitcher Luis Castillo from the Seattle Mariners in exchange for reliever Seranthony Dominguez, former prospect Nolan Jones and catching prospect Boston Smith, ESPN first reported.
Castillo, 33, was expendable in Seattle thanks to the Mariners' deep rotation, a gaggle of majors-ready prospects and the $24.1 million salary he's due in 2027. He also hasn't performed particularly well this season, posting a 5.06 ERA in 20 appearances, 17 starts, this season.
Yet Castillo is a three-time former All-Star who finished fifth in 2023 AL Cy Young Award voting and as recently as last season pitched 180 innings. He'll add length to a White Sox rotation that thins out after No. 1 starter Sean Burke and Davis Martin.

Honeywell Technologies (NASDAQ:HON) used to be one giant company that made everything from thermostats to jet engines. Not anymore. Over the past year, it split into three separate public companies: Solstice Advanced Materials, spun off last October; Honeywell Aerospace, spun off just last month; and Honeywell Technologies, the automation business that's left, which is what CEO Vimal Kapur now runs. This week's earnings report was the first one for Honeywell Technologies as its own standalone firm, and the stock jumped more than 5% on the news.
Since the aerospace spinoff only finished right at the end of the quarter, this report still includes some of Honeywell Aerospace's results mixed in, which makes straight comparisons tricky. Total revenue, including that leftover aerospace piece, came in at $9.72 billion, up 4% from a year ago and beating the roughly $9.5 billion **** ysts expected. Strip aerospace back out, and revenue for just the automation business was $5.19 billion, up 3%, beating the $5.02 billion Wall Street had modeled specifically for the smaller, standalone company.
On profit, adjusted earnings per share, including the leftover aerospace results came in at $4.52, actually down 4% from $4.72 a year earlier. On a standalone basis without aerospace, adjusted earnings were $1.95 a share, up 10% from $1.77 a year ago and beating the $1.82 **** ysts expected for the new, smaller Honeywell Technologies. There was also a one-time boost: net profit under standard accounting rules hit $5.68 billion, largely because of a $6.63 billion one-time accounting gain tied to deconsolidating Quantinuum, Honeywell's quantum computing venture, a separate transaction from the aerospace spin-off, not from the actual operating business doing better.
That raises a real question. Is this a genuinely strong first quarter as a standalone firm, or does the messy, one-time nature of a spinoff quarter make it hard to tell what Honeywell Technologies (NASDAQ:HON) actually looks like going forward?
All three of Honeywell's remaining automation segments grew organically, and orders for the standalone business overall grew 16%, with backlog reaching about $20 billion. Building Automation was the standout, with organic sales up 9% and orders up 13%, driven by strong demand from data centers and hotels. Industrial Automation grew sales 4% organically on strong demand for sensing and measurement equipment. Process Automation, the one segment with sales down slightly this quarter, actually saw orders surge 24%, with Middle East orders alone up more than 50% on refurbishment projects, and management expects a "sharp inflection" in that segment's growth starting in the third quarter. Kapur said the results reflect a "year-plus long process to simplify our business," and that the benefits are already showing up.

CHICAGO (AP) — A former Illinois sheriff's deputy won't get an early medical release from his two-decade prison sentence for killing Sonya Massey inside her home after the Black woman called 911 about a possible prowler, state officials decided Friday.
Sean Grayson had been diagnosed with colon cancer prior to the 2024 shooting, and his attorney noted in January that the cancer had advanced to his liver and lungs.
The three-member Illinois Prisoner Review Board voted unanimously Friday to deny Grayson's application for early medical release, Liz Mitchell, a board spokesperson, said in an email.
Grayson, who is white, was convicted in October of second-degree murder for Massey's killing, a case that sparked protests over systemic racism and a U.S. Department of Justice review.
Body camera footage showed Grayson and another deputy enter Massey's home in Springfield, Illinois. Minutes later, Grayson shot the 36-year-old single mother in the face as she moved a pot of hot water from the stove and told him, "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus."

Shreyas Iyer finally ended his wait for a victory as India's T20I captain after leading the side to a convincing seven-wicket win over Zimbabwe in the opening match of the three-game series in Harare on Thursday.

The result marked Shreyas' first win since taking over the captaincy from Suryakumar Yadav earlier this year. India had endured a difficult run under his leadership, beginning with a shock 2-0 series defeat to Ireland before suffering a 4-0 drubbing against England in a five-match T20I series.

Former India opener Sadagopan Ramesh said the celebrations following the Zimbabwe win were understandable given the team's recent struggles, insisting the victory would come as a major relief for the skipper.

"Many are saying India shouldn't be so excited for just a win over Zimbabwe. Yet, when you are starving for a victory for so long in T20Is, even leftover food will taste like a wedding meal. Shreyas Iyer will be relieved, considering India's fall under his captaincy. He would have reached a point where a win over anyone would have been enough for him," Ramesh said in a video uploaded on Instagram.

Ramesh also reserved praise for VVS Laxman, who is serving as India's interim head coach for the Zimbabwe tour. He credited the former India batter for consistently delivering positive results whenever he takes charge of the national side.

"VVS Laxman also deserves high praise. India perform well every time he's the head coach. Under him, India seem to always whitewash the opponents, even at a time the other teams are constantly whitewashing India otherwise. It got to the point where India just needed a win of any kind and hence their elation after beating even Zimbabwe," he added.

India's victory was further highlighted by a historic knock from teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. The 15-year-old blazed his way to a maiden international half-century in just 18 ****** , becoming the youngest player to score a fifty in men's international cricket.

Sooryavanshi reached the milestone at the age of 15 years and 118 days, eclipsing the previous record held by Sachin Tendulkar. The batting great was 16 years and 213 days old when he registered his maiden international fifty against Pakistan in a Test at Faisalabad in 1989.

Based on the New England Patriots' 2026 offseason moves, the organization made improving quarterback Drake Maye's offensive weapons a priority. In the process, the Patriots added to a previously aging tight end room.
Following an Austin Hooper exit to the Atlanta Falcons in free agency, New England signed hybrid tight end Julian Hill. It also selected Notre Dame's Eli Raridon in the third round of the NFL Draft. However, a season-ending injury to Hill during a spring practice left a void in the group that remains unresolved.
In the final edition of our Patriots training camp preview series, we'll take a look at New England's tight end corps in its entirety and discuss the biggest takeaways heading into the summer practices.

Three big earnings reports came out this week. Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) and Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) reported Wednesday after the market closed, and International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE:IBM) shared its official results the same day. All three show the same thing: spending money on AI is starting to hurt profits. However, each company's story is different enough that treating them as one big story would miss what's actually going on. So let's dig into it:
Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) made more money than expected. Revenue came in at $119.8 billion compared to the $116.9 billion ***** ysts expected, growing 24% from last year. Its cloud business also had its best quarter ever. Cloud revenue jumped 82% to $24.77 billion, way above the $22.46 billion ***** ysts predicted, and the amount of future cloud business it has lined up hit $514 billion, up from about $460 billion. Even so, the stock fell about 4% after hours. Why? Because Alphabet said it will spend even more money in 2026 than planned, between $195 billion and $205 billion instead of the earlier $180-190 billion range and well above the roughly $186 billion Wall Street expected. The firm's leftover cash after paying for everything actually went negative, by $5.9 billion, for the first time in at least 10 years. That happened because Alphabet spent $44.9 billion in just this one quarter, double what it spent a year ago. Alphabet's finance chief, Anat Ashkenazi, told ***** ysts the tech firm still doesn't have enough computing power to meet demand. Google is even renting extra computing capacity from ***** eX to keep up while it builds more of its own.
Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) had a similar problem, just in a different business. Revenue beat expectations, coming in at $28.24 billion versus $25.71 billion expected, up 26% from last year. Tesla also delivered more cars than expected. But profit missed, and adjusted earnings were 33 cents per share, well below the 51 cents ***** ysts expected. The profit margin on each car sold also shrank to about 16.3% instead of the roughly 18% expected. And Tesla's leftover cash went negative too, by $1.1 billion, for the first time in over two years. That's because Tesla spent 142% more money than usual, $5.8 billion, mostly on things like Optimus robots, its Cybercab robotaxi, and AI computing power, not on making more cars. Elon Musk called it "a massive capex year" and said he believes these investments will pay off. But right now, it's the car business paying for all of it, and the car business is making less money per vehicle than before.

Justin Theroux ordered custom-made scrubs to wear to the hospital for his son's birth.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday, guest host Ike Barinholtz asked his Running Point co-star about the arrival of his first child.
Justin and his wife, actress Nicole Brydon Bloom, tied the knot in March 2025 and welcomed their son - whose name has not yet been announced - in April.
"It's the best," he said of fatherhood, before reflecting on preparing for the birth. "I think I was very helpful, in the whole process. My wife was incredibly helpful... She was great in the setup of it... we had our go bags, all that stuff. I was more worried about, sort of, what I was going to wear."
The Leftovers star went on to recall how he decided to wear scrubs while Nicole was giving birth.
"I mean, in all seriousness, it's not about me. So, I went ahead and I Googled and I got these scrubs (from FIGS Scrubs). I had scrubs made with my name on it and I had the little cap like Noah Wyle wears in (HBO hospital drama) The Pitt. I just wanted to blend in; I didn't want to make this about me. So, I wore the outfit," the 54-year-old recounted.

Dueling vuvuzelas, a leftover from the noisy World Cup in South Africa in 2010, provided the soundtrack during a World Cup watch party on Wednesday, July 1, at the Dayton Beer Company.
The horns have a unique sound, one that’s never going to fit in an orchestra but fits right in at soccer matches. In this case, they made hundreds of U.S. fans who gathered to watch the United States play Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Round of 32 feel like they were a part of something memorable — even though the game was played thousands of miles away in California.
I was one of those fans. I know from experience that the World Cup is best experienced in a large group. Michael Muncy, the founder and president of the Dayton chapter of the American Outlaws, the U.S. men’s national team’s fan club, agrees with that viewpoint.

"Did somebody take her? Do they have her somewhere else? Is she alive?"
These are the questions that have haunted Dan Anderson in the nearly four decades since his younger sister, then 23-year-old Carla Anderson, vanished from her apartment in Wadena, Minnesota.
Memories of their childhood still flash into his mind like clockwork: the click of a camera as 9-year-old Carla held a spatula at the stove of their camper in Alaska, or the sound of her record player as she belted out "Delta Dawn" over and over in her room before her brothers pounded on her door asking her to turn it down.
And then the most troubling memory of them all — when Carla disappeared in November 1987, with a rented movie still in her VCR and the apartment door locked with her purse inside.
The Hardee's fry cook affectionately known as "spud" had just spent the night out with her mother and stepfather celebrating her being chosen employee of the month.

N.Y. man who spent 19 years in prison after buying mom a stove with stolen money order is freed

A New York man was freed from prison Monday after having spent nearly two decades behind bars for a robbery he didn't commit.
Kenneth Windley was linked to the 2005 crime after he bought his mother a stove with a money order that he didn't know was stolen. Windley, 61, was convicted of second-degree robbery and sentenced to 20 years to life in prison. A Brooklyn judge tossed his conviction after prosecutors re-examined his claims of innocence and concluded that he wasn’t involved in the crime.

This cosmic baby photo collection contains 31 young star systems, images captured by the Atacama Large Millimeter Array in Chile. In the bottom right corner, you’ll find a simulation of our own solar system at just 1 million years old. The infant stars at the center of these systems formed from large clumps of super chilly dust and gas that buckled under their own gravity. Over many millennia, this material spins into disks with dense, sizzling centers that morph into stars.
The surrounding disks are known as protoplanetary disks, and scientists think that the leftover gas and dust within the

Welcome to the Thursday edition of the Pick Six newsletter!
We're getting our first Thursday night game of December, and things are starting off with a bang with the Lions hosting the Cowboys in an NFC showdown. This is the old "Thanksgiving leftovers" game where the NFL takes two teams that played on Thanksgiving and has them play each other the following Thursday.
Speaking of Thanksgiving leftovers, it's a good time to finish yours before they go bad. Last year, I learned the hard way that mashed potatoes definitely don't last as long as you think they will.
Anyway, we'll have some picks
