Moscow is preparing for a final test of a new ballistic missile capable of striking targets hundreds of miles away and potentially maneuvering in ways that could challenge Ukraine's already strained air defenses, a defense ******* yst warned Monday.
The warning comes as Ukrainian military officials said that Russia could conduct the test in the coming months and potentially in live-fire strikes.

NEW DELHI: Ishan Kishan and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi shared a fun moment after East Zone's memorable Duleep Trophy 2026/27 triumph. Kishan, who captained East Zone in the final against South Zone, had a light-hearted exchange with his 15-year-old deputy over who should get the credit for the successful DRS calls during the match.
Kishan had a memorable final, scoring more than 350 runs across the two innings, including a stunning 270 in the first innings, and was named Player of the Match.
Kishan jokingly claimed that Sooryavanshi had taken all the credit for the DRS calls, even though the captain was the one who was initially going to take the reviews.
"Yeh sab review mein credit le hi liya hai har jagah. Bhale main lene waala tha review, but aake mast bol deta tha main aapke paas aa jaata hu. Phir toh internet will be like: Vaibhav! My goodness! According to Page Six, Deputy District Attorney Caitlin McGillicuddy revealed that investigators found videos on KJ's phone that allegedly depict intercourse with a relative under the age of 12.

The league's deputy commissioner, Bill Daly, said on Thursday, Sept. 8, that the league is in further discussions to add three teams from its current 32. Possibilities include Arizona, Atlanta and a team in Houston or Austin, Texas. ESPN first reported the news.
The Coyotes were sold by owner Alex Meruelo and relocated to become the Utah Mammoth.
"I don't think we ever soured on Phoenix as a market," Daly said at the NHL and National Hockey League Player ***** ociation (NHLPA) player media tour in Las Vegas. "I think our issue in Phoenix was the location of the building. It's always the location of the building.
"I think with the right location, we collectively believe that Phoenix would be a great market."

Former NFL running back LeShon Johnson has been sentenced to 60 months in federal prison after he was convicted of six felonies related to dog fighting.
Authorities seized 190 dogs from Johnson's property, the most dogs ever seized from any individual in a federal dog fighting investigation. This is Johnson's second dog fighting conviction; he was also convicted of state dog fighting charges in Oklahoma in 2004.
"LeShon Johnson continued to traffic dogs for illegal fighting despite a 2004 state conviction for similar conduct," said Deputy **** istant Attorney General Adam Gustafson. "We are grateful to our colleagues at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma and the FBI for partnering with ENRD to bring this repeat offender to justice and to the U.S. Marshals Service for executing the biggest rescue operation of its kind."
The Department of Justice says Johnson made hundreds of thousands of dollars through his dog fighting operation, selling dogs he described as fighting champions, selling puppies he said were bred to be fighting champions, and charging stud fees to other dog fighters so that his champion males could breed with their females.
The 55-year-old Johnson was a third-round pick of the Packers in 1994 and also played for the Cardinals and Giants before finishing his pro football career with the XFL's Chicago Enforcers.

According to court documents, Headway Capital claims Zolciak owes $74,983.89 in principal. The lawsuit also lists $55,650.14 in accrued interest through Aug. 13, 2024. Headway Capital also seeks prejudgment interest from Aug. 14, 2024, plus statutory post-judgment interest. Zolciak received the lawsuit papers at her Georgia home from a Gwinnett County sheriff's deputy on June 23. A hearing set for Aug. 8 was later canceled, and the court has not set another date. Zolciak has not responded to the lawsuit.
Zolciak also faces a separate lawsuit over an alleged unpaid credit card balance. Portfolio Recovery ****** ociates, LLC sued her on July 13 and claims she owes $16,759.51. Russian oil producer Rosneft has commenced oil shipments from its Vostok Oil project following a commissioning ceremony overseen by Russian President Vladimir Putin via video link.
The first oil from the development was loaded onto the Valentin Pikul Arc7-class Arctic tanker at the Bukhta Sever port.
Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak also participated in the event.
The Vostok Oil project consolidates a number of significant oil and gas deposits in the northern Krasnoyarsk Territory.
Rosneft estimates the project's resource base at seven billion tonnes (bt) of oil with sulphur content ranging between 0.01% and 0.1%.

The effort, which was under way in June, has included conversations with senior lawmakers in the Senate about whether the administration's picks would have enough support to be confirmed, said two of the people, one of whom added that the review was still going on as of late August. Reuters could not determine when the White House began considering candidates.
The three sources said no decision had been made to remove Feinberg from his post. They did not say why the White House was reviewing potential replacements and did not specify which candidates the White House was considering.
"These so-called anonymous 'sources' have no idea what they are talking about," said White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly.

While standing in a private parking lot in Sussex, Wisconsin, on May 4, 2025, Napoleon Jones witnessed a traffic stop made by an out-of-county police officer. "It just didn't sit right with me," Jones told TMJ4 News, a local NBC News affiliate. "So I did what I legally could do, and I walked over and recorded it."
Jones, a United States Navy veteran, was well within his rights to record the police stop. But even though he recorded from a safe distance without interfering, that didn't stop the Waukesha County Sheriff's deputy, Brandon Shayhorn, from later unlawfully stopping and arresting Jones.
After Shayhorn completed the traffic stop, Jones returned to his vehicle. But before Jones could exit the parking lot, Shayhorn turned on his lights and initiated a second stop, claiming Jones' temporary license plate, displayed in the rearview window, was unreadable, reports TMJ4 News. Shayhorn demanded to see Jones' driver's license, but Jones refused, arguing that he'd been unlawfully pulled over on private property. Video clips of the encounter show the deputy opening Jones' door and pulling him from his vehicle.
Jones was subsequently arrested "for resisting and obstructing," according to a federal lawsuit he filed against the arresting officers and police department. But after being held in custody for five hours, he was released with no citations or criminal charges. An internal post-arrest memorandum reviewed by Reason revealed that Shayhorn's supervisor informed him shortly after the arrest that he'd, in fact, illegally stopped Jones, and he therefore could not compel Jones to produce his identification.

UND's season ticket sales have fluctuated in recent years around approximately 5,000 to 6,000, with the North Dakota State home-road matchup often the key variable between totals.

MOSCOW, Aug 24 (Reuters) - President Vladimir Putin on Monday handed the Russian state the power to take control of critically important infrastructure if it is deemed to be poorly protected from Ukrainian drone attacks and other threats.
The special powers, set out in a presidential decree, will allow the state to take over temporary administration of such facilities at a time when Ukraine has stepped up drone attacks on oil refineries and retail warehouses.
The state will be able to take control of physical and financial assets and formal ownership rights if entities responsible for such facilities are judged to have failed in their duty to protect them and are too slow to repair them after any attack, according to the decree.
It applies to fuel, energy, industrial, communications, transport and logistics facilities and other objects regarded as critically-important for ensuring the security and economic stability of the state and the population.
First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov said the measure should not be viewed as a precursor to nationalisation and would not be used on a broad scale.

HONG KONG, Aug 24 (Reuters) - The term "flexible employment" has gone viral in China after a prominent economics professor described gig work as a form of "welfare", drawing widespread public anger and highlighting deep anxieties over job insecurity.
Zhang Dandan, a professor of economics and deputy dean at Peking University's National School of Development, made the remarks during a discussion on social protection for gig workers, on the popular financial show "Let's Talk" last week.
She argued that from the perspective of labour economics, "flexibility itself is a form of welfare."
While regular employees trade schedule flexibility for pensions and other benefits, flexible workers enjoy greater control over their time at the cost of weaker social protections, Zhang said.
The comments triggered a fierce backlash over the weekend, with social media users accusing Zhang of being oblivious to the harsh realities of the gig economy.

Fresno State athletic director Garrett Klassy has signed a new five-year deal to stay with the Bulldogs, ESPN's Pete Thamel reports.
According to ESPN sources, Klassy's extension guarantees him a total salary of $2.9 million, which is among the largest guaranteed deals for an athletic director outside the Power Four conferences.
Klassy, who joined the Bulldogs in 2024, has led the school's move to the PAC-12, the hiring of head football coach Matt Entz and, lately, the historic sponsorship deal with The Wonderful Company.
Before Fresno State, Klassy was the Deputy Athletic Director at the University of Houston. As well as prior stints at the University of Nebraska, University of Oregon and University of Alabama.
