Alexander Zverev reinforced his lead in the 2026 ATP match wins table as the top seed defeated Terrance Atmane 7-6 (7/4), 7-6 (8/6) on Monday to reach the fourth round of the Cincinnati Masters.
The German, who won Roland Garros and finished Wimbledon runner-up this year, earned his 46th victory of the season as he fought off the Frenchman, a 2025 Cincinnati semi-finalist.
Zverev finished off the match with a sizzling backhand down the line.
"This was a step up from my first match," he said. "He was playing incredibly aggressively, hitting forehands all over the court.
"I'm happy to be through in straight sets. He made it difficult for you to play aggressive yourself."

KingGreen learned a humbling lesson after issuing an open challengeto boxers.
Green recently made headlines by picking apart professional boxerBang Williams in boxing sparring. Williams trains under formerfour-division world champion Adrien Broner, who was also inattendance as the veteran UFC fighter trash-talked and repeatedlystung his pupil.
Green subsequently issued an open challenge to all professionalboxers. The Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight soon met his matchin WBO interim super lightweight champion Arnold Barboza Jr., whopieced up Green, albeit they ended without any bad blood.
Green then admitted that Barboza showed him what real boxing lookslike. While Green went in expecting a slugfest, Barboza kept asolid guard and displayed slick footwork to pick him apart.
"I'm thinking we're going to do this certain dance," Green said onhis Instagram Stories. "And it doesn't exactly turn out the way Ithought it would. I learned today what real boxing is. In my head,I thought we'd be all guns. But Arnold came out with peekaboo, tight stuff. So, he is not open to no attacks… He showed me realboxing where he came in, gave me no way to work. He would open up,pop, pop, pop, close back up."
Riding a four-fight winning streak with three finishes in the UFC,Green (36-17) is coming off a first-round buzzer-beater stoppagewin over TerranceMcKinney.

Earlier in the week, head coach Mike Norvell said he wanted his team to treat this week like a "game week." Coming off a scrimmage on Tuesday, FSU had three days of physical practice in Jacksonville, ahead of its final scrimmage of the fall on Sunday.
If Sunday's scrimmage had a winner, Norvell told the media afterward, that it was the defense.
"I thought (the defense) really did a nice job," the head man said in his opening statement. "(They were) flying around and made some explosive plays and created some TFLs. I liked tonight that there was a great balance of pressures, four-man pass rush, and guys going out there and having to win a 1-on-1."
It seems that the defensive line, led by Terrance Knighton and first-year coach Nick Williams, is developing the front into a formidable force heading into the regular season.
"I thought the defensive line was really impactful. I saw the Desir twins multiple times making an impact. Jalen Anderson had a great speed sack…You felt that disruption. When you're sitting out there, it's good for one side. On the other side, you have to continue to improve."

Diego Ferreira want to revisit a fight with King Green, one that slipped away at the eleventh hour in 2025, or face another long-time veteran in Jim Miller if he's victorious against this Saturday at UFC Vegas 120, when he takes on Billy Quarantillo at the Meta APEX.
Green was forced off his UFC 319 clash with Ferreira after sustaining an injury a day before the official weigh-ins, and the Brazilian said his plan is to call him out for a proper fight after he gets through Quarantillo in Las Vegas.
"I was really focused on that fight, and I still want to fight Bobby Green," Ferreira told MMA Fighting. "First of all, because he's been fighting and beating everybody, so I hope it happens. If it's not Bobby Green, then I want to fight Jim Miller. I admire him as well. Just look at how many fights he's had in the UFC. So I want one of those two. After this fight, I don't want to wait too long. I want to get right back into the mindset of fighting."
Ferreira said he's expected to face Mairbek Taisumov in a grappling match in ACBJJ in the coming months, and then re-enter the octagon as quickly as possible. Ferreira dropped his past two in the UFC against Grant Dawson and Alexander Hernandez. Green, on the other hand, won four straight against the likes of Terrance McKinney and Jeremy Stephens, with Miller also coming off a bonus-winning finish over Jared Gordon.
Ferreira moved on to fight Hernandez less than a month after the Green match-up fell through, and feels that cutting weight twice in a such a short period of time affected his performance. This time, however, Ferreira guarantees "my preparation was 100 percent for this fight."

The Los Angeles Rams revolutionized tight end play with their 13-personnel offense last season and they continue to expand their tight end packages to utilize the five quality players who currently make up the position group.
Due to injury issues with Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson got his shot to take on the majority of the tight end responsibilities last season, parlaying it into a career campaign. Both are back and effective as ever, while young and promising talents like Davis Allen, Terrance Ferguson and Max Klare work to carve out roles of their own.
With so much potential in the group, it's unclear which players will get the bulk of the opportunities. On Wednesday, we got some clarity on what the rotation will look like, as offensive coordinator Nate Scheelhaase stated that he doesn't expect one single player to ****** d the snaps. The staff will naturally move each player around to capitalize on the strengths of those individualized skill sets.
"No, I don't expect anyone in particular to come out on top," Scheelhaase told reporters. "I think those guys push each other and challenge each other and are so versatile that you're just excited to see who ends up coming to life based on what the defense wants to do. We can move those guys all around the field. They all can do so much, both in the run game and the pass game, that you're excited just based on a game plan.
"You don't know who ends up popping and making a play in the pass game. You don't know who ends up being at the point of attack in the run game. That makes a huge difference. I just appreciate how those guys work and how they've pushed each other to get where they're at right now."

Terrance Ferguson showed a lot of promise as a rookie last year. The Los Angeles Rams didn't give him many opportunities in Year 1, but as the season went on, he showed what made him a coveted second-round prospect out of Oregon.
He averaged an eye-watering 20.8 yards per catch, by far the most of any tight end in the NFL and the third-highest average when including wide receivers, too. So even though he only caught 12 passes, he turned them into 250 yards and three touchdowns (including playoffs).
Everyone saw his potential as a deep receiver, but the Rams didn't utilize one of his best traits: picking up yards after the catch.
According to Pro Football Focus, Ferguson led all FBS tight ends (min. 30 targets) with an average of 9.0 yards after the catch per reception in 2024. He was highly effective with the ball in his hands, forcing eight missed tackles on 43 total receptions.
Last season, Ferguson had minimal opportunities to create after the catch. He didn't force a single missed tackle, in part because his average depth of target was 17.9 yards downfield. The next-closest tight end was Darren Waller at 11.9, which ranked 58th in the NFL; Ferguson was tied for fourth.

For the third season in a row, the Oregon Ducks are rolling into the new season with a new leader in the tight end room. First Terrance Ferguson, then Kenyon Sadiq, and now Jamari Johnson will take the helm.
Last season, after transferring to Eugene from Louisville, Johnson saw his role slowly grow into a consistent pass-catcher for the Oregon offense. When Sadiq went down with an injury, Johnson was the one who stepped up and didn't allow the Ducks to skip a beat.
Johnson finished the season with 32 receptions for 510 yards and three touchdowns. The 6-foot-5 target has more size than his predecessor, but leading the room is another challenge he will have to take on this season. With the additions of Penn State transfer Andrew Olesh, Clemson transfer Marcus Dixon and freshman Kendre Harrison, there are plenty of talented contributors who still need to learn the playbook in fall camp.
Beyond leading the room, the best ability is availability. After watching Sadiq prepare last season, Johnson may have picked up a thing or two from the first-round pick.
"Film and treatment," Johnson told reporters on Monday. "Those are two things off the field. He's a dog all around. Off the field, (Sadiq) is as good as on the field."

Florida State football's defensive line remains one of the biggest questions on the team ahead of the 2026 season.
By standard metrics, the Seminoles are undersized along the defensive line. The coaching staff has pointed to the "explosiveness" and athleticism of smaller and more nimble linemen, but the likes of Daniel Lyons, Kevin Wynn and Jordan Sanders will hold key roles as nose tackles.
Sanders, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 310 pounds, is a wild card for the Seminoles after missing the majority of spring camp with an injury. The Texas State transfer had a productive campaign last season, recording 16 tackles and 3.5 tackles for loss and one forced fumble before transferring to FSU late in the cycle.
Defensive line coach Terrance Knighton said Sanders was a sponge in the spring and didn't let his injury stop him from progressing.
"In the meeting rooms, he was asking questions, staying engaged. Putting himself, taking vicarious reps, putting himself in the position of the nose," Knighton said. "On the sideline, he was standing right by me asking questions. Standing by coach Odell [Haggins] asking questions. He stayed locked in."

Sean McVay informed reporters on Monday afternoon that fourth year tight end Davis Allen is dealing with a quad injury in training camp. McVay did not provide a concrete timeline other than the injury is going to require "some time".
In all likelihood, Davis Allen misses at least the next two weeks with it being a soft tissue injury and the Rams typically being conservative with their injuries in training camp.
Allen has steadily carved out a role in Sean McVay's offense over the past several seasons. Whether serving as a reliable blocker, contributing as a pass catcher, or filling in whenever injuries have arisen, he has become a dependable member of the Rams' tight end room. Any missed practice reps can slow momentum, particularly during training camp when timing and chemistry are being refined before the regular season.
Fortunately for Los Angeles, this is one position where the roster is built to withstand a temporary setback.
While any injury to a player is unfortunate, the Rams can afford an injury like this at the tight end position because of the impressive depth they have ******* embled. Veterans Tyler Higbee and Colby Parkinson remain the leaders of the group, while Terrance Ferguson adds another talented option capable of making plays in the passing game.

The Los Angeles Rams have an abundance of depth at tight end, which is a good thing because one of their key players is a bit banged up. Sean McVay told reporters on Monday that Davis Allen has a quad injury and will be out for "some time." Because it's a soft tissue injury, the team isn't going to rush him back.
Allen is in his fourth season with the Rams after being a fifth-round pick in 2023 out of Clemson.
Colby Parkinson, Terrance Ferguson and Tyler Higbee are the primary contributors at tight end, with rookie Max Klare also in the mix. Klare figures to get more reps with Allen out, which will only benefit the rookie out of Ohio State.
Allen caught 24 passes for 208 yards and three touchdowns last season, playing significant snaps after the team shifted toward more 13 personnel packages.

The Los Angeles Rams lit up the scoreboard last season as the No. 1 offense in the NFL, and they're returning all of their key players. Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams are the primary skill players around Matthew Stafford, but second-year tight end Terrance Ferguson should not be forgotten.
Ferguson made the most of his limited opportunities last season, averaging 21 yards per catch on 11 receptions, with three of those catches going for touchdowns. Entering Year 2, Ferguson's stock is trending up.
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated recently visited Rams training camp and from what he's heard, Ferguson has had a "fantastic offseason" and the Rams "now believe he could grow into one of the NFL's best tight ends.
On offense, Davante Adams, Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams are where you'd expect them to be, and Colby Parkinson is leading a deep, versatile tight end group. The second layer of skill talent is where the offense could look a little different than it did a year ago. Terrance Ferguson has had a fantastic offseason. He is now proving to be a guy who can play all over the formation and looks like he could be a force after the catch, showing why the Rams coveted him in the 2025 draft and now believe he could grow into one of the NFL's best tight ends. Blake Corum has also worked to earn carries alongside Williams, seeing the game faster, and looking like a guy who could add a big-play element to the Rams' physical run game. If there's a question on offense, it's at tackle, where Alaric Jackson is facing potential discipline from the NFL, and Rob Havenstein retired.
Considering how much talent there is at the tight end position across the NFL right now, those are some seriously high expectations. If he were to somehow develop into a player of Trey McBride or Brock Bowers' caliber, it would completely change the complexion of the offense.

When Florida State was preparing for the 2025 season, defensive tackle Kevin Wynn was looked at as one of the top incoming freshmen and a player who could have an immediate impact. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned for the former four-star prospect.
Wynn suffered an injury late in fall camp that held him out of FSU's win against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the season opener. He ended up playing in just four games last season and recorded one tackle. Now, Wynn is healthy, and he's also about 30 pounds lighter at 317.
According to defensive line coach Terrance Knighton, Wynn has made the most of his opportunities during the summer. He feels that Wynn has taken more strides than anyone.
"Juju, I think, had the biggest jump this summer. He's lost 40 pounds," Knighton said via Warchant. "He's moving well, which is helping his body with the day-to-day. Now, he's able to, like I said, focus on football. He's in great shape, and he's ready to show he can be an every-down player."
Wynn was an absolute force during his high school days at Greene County High School in Greensboro, Georgia. He racked up 84 tackles for loss and 14 sacks (seven as a senior). He displayed an incredible burst and great power, which is why he lived behind the line of scrimmage and became a top 100 recruit.

2 reasons why Rams' breakout candidate is 231-yard second-round TE originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Los Angeles Rams didn't make a lot of changes on the offensive side of the ball, but they made three huge moves on defense, adding Myles Garrett, Trent McDuffie, and Jaylen Watson.
While the excitement might be on defense when it comes to big impacts from new players, the Rams' offense might have a new key player who has already been on the roster.
The Athletic's Nate Atkins named the Rams' breakout candidate as second-round tight end Terrance Ferguson. After his 231-yard rookie season, Atkins revealed two reasons why Ferguson is the breakout candidate to watch for the Rams i2n 026.
"The Rams spent their top draft pick a year ago on a tight end they were mostly planning to stash for a breakout this season," Atkins writes. "... His 21 yards per catch would have ranked second in the NFL last season on large volume, and though it'll likely come down with a boost in volume this season."

Terrance McKinney and King Green went from friends, to enemies, to friends again.
“I’m going to be real: There ain’t too many black fighters as it is,” Green said after defeating McKinney at UFC 329. “I’m trying to show him and teach him something like, ‘Bro, we’re supposed to stick together.’ Irish fighters do it. The Mexican fighters do it. But us as black folks, where we come from and what we’ve been through is just different. It is what it is.”
Green claims they had a gentlemen’s agreement in place to never accept a fight against one another, but McKinney ignored their pact in order to get himself on the UFC 329 fight card, headlined by former two-division champion and the sport’s biggest star, Conor McGregor.
“I want nothing but good things for him,” Green said. “I’m sorry that we had to do this fight. I told you don’t take the fight, brother. That’s my little bro, and I didn’t want to do this sh*t. I didn’t want to shut his light out. He did everything right, but I’m unbreakable. My spirit don’t be broken.”
Green won by way of first-round technical knockout just seconds before the horn.

LAS VEGAS – King Green seems like he's the kind of guy who doesn't say something if he doesn't mean it.
So when he said fighting Terrance McKinney was a little bit personal, and a lot about teaching a lesson, it was hard to not buy into it. After he put McKinney away with one second left in the opening round at UFC 329, he said they squashed their brief beef and planned to head out into "Sin City" to prove it – together.
And that they did, according to Green's social media posts after his TKO win at T-Mobile Arena to open the main card Saturday. Green (36-17-1 MMA, 17-12-1 UFC) was given the business by McKinney (18-9 MMA, 8-6 UFC) in the early moments of their fight, and his face showed it afterward. But in the final 30 seconds, he caught McKinney and hurt him, then kept the pressure on to get the stoppage with a second left in the opening frame.
"You've got to understand this is at its highest pinnacle," Green said after the fight. "The emotions are high, but you've got to be able to be in the fire. You've got to keep the emotions high, but you've got to control your emotions at the same time. It's a weird game that you've got to play. So they're high. I'm looking at him. He's looking at me. They're high, and they're in the fight. … But I'm just so used to the fire and the way it burns. It is what it is."
Green said in the buildup to the fight that his disappointment with McKinney was in his accepting the bout to begin with. In Green's eyes, they had a handshake deal in place – and McKinney admitted during fight week that he broke it so he could be part of a fight card headlined by Conor McGregor.

A fast finish and an action-packed flyweight bout were among the UFC 329 bonus winners.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship handed out a pair of Performance of the Night awards and a Fight of the Night bonus, with each recipient pocketing an extra $100,000 over their contracted fight purse. The fight card featured 11 finishes in total, but a couple of bouts concluded in anticlimactic fashion, with the main event ending via an unfortunate injury.
Paddy Pimblett secured a $100,000 POTN bonus for his submission of Benoit St. Denis in the co-main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It took Pimblett under a minute to put away his French counterpart, sealing one of the quickest and most emphatic victories of his UFC tenure.
King Green also earned a $100,000 POTN bonus following a dramatic first-round comeback against Terrance McKinney. Despite initially facing an early barrage from McKinney and a submission scare, Green survived and earned a first-round victory with one second to spare.
Brandon Royval and Lone’er Kavanagh bagged FOTN honors and $100,000 each for their back-and-forth flyweight clash. Kavanagh looked sharp in the early frames, but Royval showed his experience to rally back and find a third-round rear-naked choke.
As mentioned earlier, the headliner ended in disappointment as Conor McGregor suffered a knee injury just seconds into his rematch with Max Holloway, resulting in a victory for the Hawaiian.

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is live TONIGHT (Sat., July 11, 2026) with UFC 329, streaming exclusively live on Paramount+. The record-setting event takes place inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The main event is Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway 2 in the Welterweight division.
It’s a rematch 13 years in the making with Conor McGregor vs. Max Holloway 2 tonight. The literally notorious McGregor has returned without much fanfare to take on one of the sport’s most popular fighters. McGregor last competed five years ago, losing to Dustin Poirier and shattering his shin (relive that here). Since then, he’s been embroiled in major controversies, including being found liable for rape in an Irish civil court.
McGregor has two fights left on his deal, reportedly. It seems like he might be trying to fight out his contract quickly so he can move on to new pastures.
The co-main tonight is Benoit Saint Denis vs. Paddy Pimblett in a high stakes Lightweight bout. Saint-Denis can clear a path to a ***** le shot with an impressive win here over the Englishman. Pimblett will try and show he deserves a second shot at current undisputed champion, Justin Gaethje. Rounding out the main card is Cory Sandhagen vs. Mario Bautista, Brandon Royval vs. Lone’er Kavanagh and King Green vs. Terrance McKinney.
The “Prelims” are headlined by Robert Whittaker vs. Nikita Krylov, in Whittaker’s Light Heavyweight debut (more on that here). UFC 329’s “Prelims” also have Gable Steveson’s UFC debut against massive betting underdog, Elisha Ellison.

This is the UFC 329 live blog for King Green vs. Terrance McKinney, the main card lightweight bout Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Green (35-17, 1 NC) is one of the most experienced fighters on the UFC roster, sporting a record of 16-12-1 (1 NC) inside the octagon. He finds himself on an unlikely win streak, having recently knocked off Jeremy Stephens, Daniel Zellhuber, and Lance Gisbon Jr. With a win Saturday, Green will have strung together more than three victories for the first time since 2012.
While this matchup is unpredictable, one thing is almost guaranteed: McKinney (18-8) will make sure this fight doesn’t go the scorecards. In 26 pro bouts, including 13 UFC appearances, McKinney has never had a fight end without someone getting knocked out or submitted. McKinney is the winner more often than not, and always in spectacular fashion as all eight of his UFC wins have come in the first round. On the flip-side, McKinney’s past two losses have also come inside of a round, so there’s no telling if he will be the hammer or the nail against Green.

Depending on how you look at things, tight end could be viewed as either a strength or a slight weakness for the Los Angeles Rams. With the addition of Max Klare in the second round, they have five quality tight ends who are expected to play a role this season. The downside is that none of those five tight ends are viewed as premier players by the general public.
Not even NFL coaches, executives or scouts believe the Rams have a top-23 tight end on their roster. ESPN polled talent evaluators from around the league on the best tight ends in football and no Rams player made the list. There were 10 players ranked, followed by five honorable mentions and eight in the "also receiving votes" category.
Not a single one was a member of the Rams. That means no coaches, execs or scouts voted for any of Los Angeles' tight ends even a single time. It's not terribly surprising given Colby Parkinson's one season of legitimate production, Terrance Ferguson's unrealized potential and Tyler Higbee's decline the last two years, but it does raise the question of whether the Rams have enough top-end talent at tight end.
For what Sean McVay needs, their tight end room checks the necessary boxes. With how often they run 13 personnel, quantity is equally important as quality. The Rams must have at least three or four tight ends who can play meaningful snaps in 13 personnel, rotating on and off the field frequently.
They have to be able to block and catch passes, while also being able to line up in a variety of spots: inline, out wide, in the slot, in the backfield. Parkinson may not be one of the best tight ends in football, but he scored eight touchdowns last season and was a real threat in the red zone.

LSU football tight end Trey'Dez Green will headline the Tigers' offense in 2026. Green, entering his third year at LSU, hopes to build on a solid 2025.
Green has elite tools. At 6-foot-7, he has the height of a power forward, but the speed of a wide receiver. He's a matchup nightmare for most defenders. So it should come as no surprise that Green is one of the top-rated players in EA Sports' upcoming College Football 27 video game.
No tight end earned a higher rating than Green. The LSU pass catcher is tied with Texas Tech's Terrance Carter atop the group, each earning a rating of 92. Oregon's Jamari Johnson is the only other tight end with a 90+ rating.
Green projects to be a reliable target for LSU QB Sam Leavitt this fall, and he should be a fun target for LSU fans in the video game, too.
Green caught 33 passes for 433 yards and seven touchdowns. Those seven touchdowns led all SEC tight ends. Green has 46 career receptions and 11 career touchdowns. Green has been circled as a potential first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
Green has elite tools. At 6-foot-7, he has the height of a power forward, but the speed of a wide receiver. He's a matchup nightmare for most defenders. So it should come as no surprise that Green is one of the top-rated players in EA Sports' upcoming College Football 27 video game.
