Tyrese Gibson's ongoing custody battle with his ex-wife has taken another turn, with the actor now seeking an arrest warrant against Samantha Lee Gibson over allegations that she violated their parenting agreement by moving their daughter across the country.
According to court documents that TMZ obtained, the Fast & Furious star alleges that Samantha's decision to relocate their daughter, Soraya, from Georgia to Oregon in September 2025 was "premeditated." He also accuses her of failing to facilitate visitation, despite a parenting agreement the former couple had reached just one month before the move.
Samantha isn't backing down. She has opposed the warrant, maintaining that she has primary custody of Soraya and accusing Tyrese of misrepresenting the circumstances surrounding their daughter's relocation. According to her response, Tyrese knew about the move well in advance, and she never attempted to conceal her plans.
COMPLEX SHOP: Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. Uncover what's next. Buy. Collect. Obsess.
But the disagreement over Soraya's move began well before the latest filing. In August 2025, Samantha informed Tyrese that she intended to relocate to Oregon, explaining that the decision followed considerable prayer and reflection. She also suggested that living closer to his Los Angeles home could make extended visits easier.

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the UK, the Royal Family's response, or a lack thereof, has drawn plenty of attention. Prince William and Kate Middleton, however, have said nothing in public about the Sussexes. While some reports describe that silence as indifference, one PR expert reads it very differently, and her view shifts the focus from feelings to observable behaviour.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the UK in late August with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Since then, Prince William and Kate Middleton have stayed quiet, and according to reports, the brothers have no contact, despite living in the same country again.
It had earlier been reported that the Prince and Princess of Wales have "stopped caring," and are practicing indifference. The same report states that Kate is not "sitting around talking about Meghan." It stresses that this does not mean a reconciliation has taken place.
Now, PR specialist Grayce McCormick of Lightfinder Public Relations has offered a different reading to The Mirror. She cautions against calling the couple "indifferent." Doing so, she says, ******* igns an emotional state to people "based largely on unnamed sources and outward behavior." McCormick explains that silence can signal "boundaries, discipline, fatigue, acceptance or simply a decision not to participate publicly." It does not reveal what someone feels privately, she adds.
The expert also draws on her own client work. According to her, responding to every headline gives a story "more oxygen." McCormick points to the "illusory truth effect," in which repeated information can become more believable through repetition. She believes that in royal coverage, speculation can often harden into perceived fact.

Latino voters helped propel Donald Trump back to the White House. Now, they are turning on him, according to a new NBC News/Telemundo poll — a shift that gives Democrats a major opportunity to capitalize in a 2026 election that could hinge on states and districts with sizable Latino populations.
Like the broader electorate, Latino voters are racked by major concerns about high prices and Trump’s approach to immigration enforcement. The president’s approval rating sits at 27% among Latino voters. Two-thirds say his administration’s deportation policies have gone too far and three-quarters disapprove of how he has handled the economy and the cost of living.
There are clear signs his party is paying the price.
A greater share of Latino voters hold negative views of the Republican Party than at any time since 2016, and Democrats have leads on issues like dealing with the economy, immigration, the cost of living, corruption and healthcare. Two years ago, Latino voters gave Trump a 4-point edge over then-Vice President Kamala Harris on handling the economy. Today, they give Democrats a 21-point advantage on the same question.
Against that backdrop, Democrats have a 24-point lead on whom Latino voters want to see in control of Congress, 59%-35%.

Nashville has long been home to some of the most recognizable names in R&B and country music, but over the last few years, celebrities from a variety of industries have flocked to the Music City.
As the city has continued to grow, it has earned a reputation for its distinct brand of laid-back luxury, offering residents a bustling culture, mild weather, and a reasonably-priced cost of living.
It's no surprise that more than a few famous transplants have decided to relocate to this hospitable location.
From podcasters who can record from a home studio to stars of the silver screen who seek a quieter pace of life for their families, there are plenty of valid reasons why celebrities are ditching the more popular choices of Los Angeles and New York City to start fresh in Tennessee.

WASHINGTON, Oct 2 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump said the US government will send a one-time $90 payment to more than 20 million Americans enrolled in Medicare, a health insurance program for the elderly, to help offset the cost of their monthly medical insurance premiums.
Trump said on social media late on Friday the payments will come from the Medicare Improvement Fund, which he said was given $2 billion by Congress to improve the Medicare fee-for-service program.
The announcement is the latest in a series of financial promises the Republican leader has made to voters heading into the November midterm elections where control of Congress is at stake.
Trump's Republican Party currently has a narrow majority in both the Senate and the House of Representatives but his approval rating has been low over his handling of the high cost of living for Americans during the US-Israeli war on Iran that has spiked oil and gas prices.

Emma Heming Willis is making Bruce Willis the center of her message during World FTD Awareness Week, using a new tribute to explain why his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis continues to drive the advocacy work she has built around families facing the disease.
Emma shared a new photograph of the 71-year-old actor alongside a message describing him as the reason she continues pushing for greater awareness, research and support. "He is the driving force behind my advocacy," she wrote, according to PEOPLE.
She also made clear that she sees the platform created by Bruce's diagnosis as something she intends to keep using. Emma wrote that she would not let his diagnosis "be in vain" and said the doors his story has opened allow her to help people living with FTD and other dementias, as well as the people caring for them.
In March, Emma launched the Emma & Bruce Willis Fund for Dementia Research and Caregiver Support, turning several years of public advocacy into a grant-making effort focused on awareness, research and practical help for caregivers.
Emma's World FTD Awareness Week post featured Bruce sitting outdoors in a bucket hat and dark sunglasses. She described how his influence is continuing through the advocacy work that grew out of their family's experience.

Brooke Eby, the beloved activist who documented her battle with ALS for millions of people online, has died. She was 37. Eby's longtime advocacy partner group ALS Network announced the news on Oct. 1.
"Brooke changed the way people see ALS, but she also changed the way people living with ALS find and support one another," said Sheri Strahl, president and CEO of the ALS Network. "She brought humor into incredibly difficult moments, spoke with fearless honesty, and created connection where it was desperately needed. We are heartbroken by her passing and profoundly grateful that we had the privilege of knowing her, working alongside her, and celebrating her. Brooke Eby, the TikTok star known for sharing her journey with ALS (or Lou Gehrig's disease), has passed away at the age of 37. Eby was diagnosed with the illness in March 2022, though her symptoms started four years prior, and she began posting videos on TikTok just months after. She soon gained hundreds of thousands of fans on TikTok and Instagram.
The ALS Network shared the news of Eby's death on October 1st, with a statement remembering her for the ways she built community and helped create connections through her videos and other work.
Per reporting by People, Sheri Strahl, President and CEO of ALS Network, said of Eby: "Brooke changed the way people see ALS, but she also changed the way people living with ALS find and support one another[…] Brooke changed the way people see ALS, but she also changed the way people living with ALS find and support one another."
Brooke did that by approaching ALS in a comedic and light-hearted way in her videos. She reportedly began posting on TikTok to help make the process of telling others about the diagnosis easier. As she explained in an essay written for People, "Everyone was a lot more comfortable with my situation when I was laughing, and that came back around to make me feel more comfortable too."
Her content wasn't only meant for a laugh, though. Eby also made educational videos to raise awareness about her disease (much like Michiel Vandeweert did), its progression, and how everyone with it is affected in different ways. She also wanted people to know that this disease didn't discriminate by gender, age, or any other demographic, and it could affect anyone.

Think a high salary is a ticket out of living paycheck to paycheck? Think again.
Roughly 4 in 10 workers earning above $300,000 say they're doing just that, according to Goldman Sachs **** et Management's 2026 retirement report.
"One of the more remarkable findings is whether or not financial security improves linearly with income," Chris Ceder, a senior retirement strategist at Goldman Sachs **** et Management, told Yahoo Finance.
You'd think financial security would improve as someone makes more money, with income tracking in a straight path with each extra dollar of earnings.
"It does for a while, but it's a U-shape pattern," Ceder said.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been given a simple piece of advice as their family adjusts to life in the UK. Relationship expert Georgina Vass suggested that the couple focus on "honest communication." This comes as the couple helps their children navigate the major transition.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to the UK with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, after leaving the country back in 2020. The family is now believed to be living in the Cotswolds after relocating from California.
Speaking to "Gloucestershire Live", relationship expert Georgina Vass said the couple could help their children adapt by "modelling adaptation through honest communication about the hurdles, complicated feelings, and exciting opportunities." The expert also suggested creating consistent routines around school, meals, bedtime, and weekends. According to Vass, familiar routines could help reduce feelings of disruption while the children settle into their new surroundings.
Her advice also focused on Harry and Meghan's relationship. She said staying emotionally connected during disagreements and sharing disappointments could help couples develop stronger trust and mutual support. She added, "Relationships strengthened by adversity can develop greater resilience, honesty, and confidence in their ability to survive difficulty together as a team."
The move has also brought changes to Archie and Lilibet's education. The Sussexes' kids were initially registered at a British school in September. However, reports claimed the children later switched schools because of security and logistical concerns surrounding the route to that specific school. The school has not been publicly identified for safeguarding reasons. Reports suggested heavy traffic during rush hour had significantly increased the journey time, creating additional concerns around security.

Ben Affleck says losing both of his parents within the same year has changed the way he looks back at the family and home that shaped him. His father, Timothy Affleck, died in April, followed by his mother, Chris Anne Affleck, in June.
The actor addressed the losses publicly during the September 30 episode of Kerry Washington's Street You Grew Up On podcast. Affleck called losing both parents "sort of a big thing" and said it had caused him to revisit his childhood in ways that felt different from before.
Much of that shift centers on his mother, who died June 2 at age 83 after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in December 2025. After her death, Affleck discovered letters she had written to her own parents as a young woman and began reading about ambitions, interests and experiences that existed decades before he knew her as his mother.
That discovery gave Affleck a fuller view of what she later devoted to raising him and his younger brother, Casey. It also fit a broader change in perspective he has described as an adult. Seeing his parents not simply through the roles they played in his childhood, but as people with their own histories, struggles and capacity for change.
The letters came from Chris Anne's younger years, including periods when she was living in California and deciding what kind of work she wanted to pursue. PEOPLE reported that Affleck found references to possible careers in teaching and social work, protests and time spent traveling to Mississippi.

Disgraced music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs isn't exactly living a bare-bones life in prison, according to a report from NBC News published Tuesday.
The rapper has allegedly set up a cushy lifestyle inside New Jersey's Fort Dix correctional institution, where he has fellow inmates catering to his basic needs and is said to have access to contraband liquor and a cellphone.
Culture: Sean 'Diddy' Combs Sentenced To 4 Years In Prison For Prostitution Charge
"This is not some normal **** you see in jail," a man who lived in the same unit as Combs at the low-security prison told NBC News. "This is some rich ****. It looks crazy, but again, it's Diddy."
The Bad Boy Records boss, who is serving a 50-month sentence for prostitution-related offenses, reportedly pays men to cook for him, make his bed and do his laundry, in addition to someone who gives him what NBC described as "Chinese-style massages."

Rick Ross was arrested in Miami Beach on Thursday on two domestic violence-related battery charges stemming from an alleged incident at his home in August. The rapper, whose legal name is William Roberts II, faces one felony count of battery by strangulation and one misdemeanor battery charge.
Ross voluntarily surrendered to Miami Beach police and was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center shortly after 6 a.m. on October 1. CBS12 reported from Miami-Dade court records that Ross and attorney Bradley ****** nstein filed a written plea of not guilty and demanded a jury trial.
Ross later bonded out and denied the allegations while speaking to reporters outside the jail. "I'm totally innocent of these fabricated allegations made against me," he said, according to WSVN 7News. His legal team has likewise said he is being wrongfully accused and asked that the case be allowed to proceed without prejudgment.
The arrest report describes an alleged August 28 confrontation involving a woman who said she had been in a relationship with Ross and living with him. The allegations have not been adjudicated, and Ross is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
According to the arrest affidavit reviewed by CBS12, the woman went to Miami Beach police on September 29 to report an incident she said had occurred about a month earlier. She told investigators that Ross became angry after seeing an Instagram photograph in which she had been tagged and questioned her about another person.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to review a Trump administration policy denying bond hearings for immigrants as the government carries out a sweeping crackdown.
The justices will consider whether immigrants who have been living in the U.S. have a right to a hearing to determine if they should remain detained while challenging their possible deportation.
The case will test a key pillar of the Trump administration's hard-line immigration agenda.
Most appeals courts to have considered the issue have found that it violates federal law to detain immigrants, including those living in the U.S. illegally, without a bond hearing. Those decisions conflict with rulings by the 5th and 8th circuits, which held that immigrants accused of illegally entering and remaining in the U.S. must be detained while their deportation cases are pending.
The high court agreed to hear the case of Ricardo Aparecido Barbosa da Cunha, a citizen of Brazil. Authorities say he entered the United States illegally two decades ago and applied for asylum in 2016. He sought a bond hearing after an immigration judge determined that his detention was mandatory following his September 2025 arrest.

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas gave their children a candid introduction to Hollywood before Dylan and Carys pursued careers in entertainment. The actress says they shared the industry's "horror stories" to see whether their children's enthusiasm would hold up against its less glamorous realities. But theater camps, college productions and auditions kept calling. Now, Zeta-Jones is watching both children pursue the work they love, while finding a stronger voice of her own at 57.

In an interview with AARP Movies for Grownups, Zeta-Jones explained how she and Douglas approached their children's interest in following them into show business. "We told them all the [Hollywood] horror stories to see if their passion for the art and the craft was genuine," she said.
Zeta-Jones also acknowledged how challenging it can be to build a sustainable career in entertainment. "It's a very small percentage of our business that can really make a living out of doing what we love. But they certainly do love it," the actress said.

For younger generations, the idea of living a life of leisure in retirement — playing golf, pursuing hobbies, going on bucket-list trips — seems increasingly out of reach.
At least one expert is saying they're right — and the new retirement plan is to "keep your job." Cultural historian Lawrence Samuel told Marketwatch he believes the modern idea of a leisurely retirement has come and gone.
Indeed, he says it's a powerful myth — just like the American dream. "But most Americans don't realize their American dream. The odds are against you," he told MarketWatch.

President Donald Trump’s sinking ratings threaten to drag down Republicans in November’s midterm elections, as voters blame him for high prices and a shaky economy, according to a new NBC News poll.
The president’s approval rating stands at 41% among registered voters, a second-term low in the poll, with a majority (55%) of voters saying they believe Trump’s policies have hurt the economy. That’s up from 48% in March, before the Iran war pushed up prices on gas and other goods and cemented the rising cost of living as voters’ most pressing issue.
Democrats hold a 5-point edge in the battle for control of Congress, 50%-45% — not nearly as large a lead as the 12-point advantage the party enjoyed at this point before the 2018 election, when Democrats rode an anti-Trump wave to the House majority in his first midterm as president. Despite that lead, the Democratic Party is still viewed more negatively than Trump and the GOP.
That could help Republicans, along with the fact that the fight for control of the House and especially the Senate is playing out in traditionally Republican parts of the country. Democrats would have to flip multiple states Trump carried by double digits in 2024 to win the Senate.
“We have a classic battle between these numbers and the political geography in which this campaign will be decided,” said Republican pollster Bill McInturff of Public Opinion Strategies, whose firm conducted the survey alongside Democratic firm Hart Research ***** ociates. “And the Republicans are still standing because of the geography in which this election will be won or lost.”

For months, economists and retailers have warned about the financial strain facing lower- and middle-income consumers. Higher earners, on the other hand, have largely been sheltered from the effects of the rising costs of living.
But that may be changing.
A growing number of CEOs and industry insiders, from retailers as varied as Walmart and ThredUp, have said they're seeing shifts in the behavior of consumers earning $100,000 a year or more.
Dollar General's CEO Todd Vasos is the latest to join that growing chorus.
Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Global Consumer and Retail conference, Vasos said it's no longer the chain's core consumer base (low- and middle-earners) who are feeling the financial strain.

No matter how well you plan for retirement, there are surprises that could throw you for a loop. The stock market might crash unexpectedly. Your healthcare costs might increase. Or, worse yet, you could end up needing long-term care at some point.
But one hiccup you should know to plan for is inflation. Over time, the cost of living is likely to rise. And if you aren't prepared, you could easily end up losing out on buying power. These two adjustments to your retirement plan could help you avoid that fate.
Missed AI's "Act 1"? Act 2 Could Be 15x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn't buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our ******* ysts, we're only at the end of "Act 1"—the R&D phase. "Act 2" is the global rollout. Continue »
It's fairly common for retirees to reduce their stock holdings to minimize risk in their portfolios. But while it's OK to de-risk to some degree, you don't want to dump your stocks completely. Doing so could cause your portfolio to trail inflation, leading you to lose buying power and putting your savings at risk of being depleted.
If you're not comfortable holding individual stocks in retirement, buy shares of an S&P 500 exchange-traded fund (ETF). This effectively gives you exposure to the market. Or load up on dividend ETFs that generate steady income.

Incredible footage of a tornado scraping along a mountaintop near Fruit Heights, Utah, on Friday surfaced online, with reports of the twister occurring at an elevation of about 7,500 feet (almost 2,300 metres).
When you're living near a mountainside, one of the last things you would expect to see moving fast at higher elevations would be a tornado, but that's what happened in Utah on Friday.
According to the Salt Lake City, Utah, branch of the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS), a rare, strong twister occurred near Fruit Heights, Utah. The funnel first made contact with the ground near a summit along the ridgeline extending west from Francis Peak, at an elevation of about 7,500 feet (almost 2,300 metres).
Tornadoes are uncommon at very high elevation due to drier air and less favourable thunderstorm dynamics.

Wall Street pays a huge amount of attention to the price movements of the S&P 500 index (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC). If stocks are in a bull market, everyone wants to know when the next bear market will arrive. If there's a bear market, everyone keeps an eye out for the sign that the next bull market has come along. History shows you should ignore Wall Street and focus on a long-term plan of saving and investing, no matter what the market is doing.
World-famous investor and Wall Street icon Warren Buffett has often said that most investors would be better off buying an S&P 500 index fund, such as SPDR S&P 500 Trust (NYSEMKT: SPY) or Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (NYSEMKT: VOO), than trying to buy individual stocks. The real purpose of this is to create a simple, diversified portfolio that allows the investor to focus their attention on saving money and, frankly, living a happy life.

That said, a key part of Buffett's investment advice is that you should keep buying the S&P 500 no matter what is happening with the market. That's called dollar-cost averaging. You should also reinvest your dividends, which allows the dividends to compound over time. Both are simple, but powerful wealth-building tools.

Sunny, low-tax states like Florida, South Carolina and Nevada have become a magnet for U.S. retirees, with Florida alone placing four cities in the top 10 WalletHub's Best Places to Retir survey. Scottsdale, Arizona and Las Vegas, Nevada also placed in the top 12 slots in the survey.
Relocation and family finance experts say retirees are drawn to sunnier, usually southern U.S. locales not only due to the warmer climate, but for a lower, or no, tax-rate. Now, data is showing that many retirees are finding their new states bring countering cost of living issues to the buffet table, most notably homeowners ****** ociation fees and sky-high home insurance rates.
