Green recently made headlines by picking apart professional boxerBang Williams in boxing sparring. Williams trains under formerfour-division world champion Adrien Broner, who was also inattendance as the veteran UFC fighter trash-talked and repeatedlystung his pupil.
Green subsequently issued an open challenge to all professionalboxers. The Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight soon met his matchin WBO interim super lightweight champion Arnold Barboza Jr., whopieced up Green, albeit they ended without any bad blood.
Green then admitted that Barboza showed him what real boxing lookslike. While Green went in expecting a slugfest, Barboza kept asolid guard and displayed slick footwork to pick him apart.
"I'm thinking we're going to do this certain dance," Green said onhis Instagram Stories. "And it doesn't exactly turn out the way Ithought it would. I learned today what real boxing is. In my head,I thought we'd be all guns. But Arnold came out with peekaboo,tight stuff. So, he is not open to no attacks… He showed me realboxing where he came in, gave me no way to work. He would open up,pop, pop, pop, close back up."
Riding a four-fight winning streak with three finishes in the UFC,Green (36-17) is coming off a first-round buzzer-beater stoppagewin over TerranceMcKinney.
