So she went to visit the creature at the Senda Verde wildlife sanctuary on the subtropical flank of the Bolivian Andes.
“I took a hundred pictures of it,” remembers Nogales-Ascarrunz. “I was so fascinated.”
What she couldn’t know at the time was that this curious cat had a secret. On the men’s side, Alexander Zverev claimed his maiden Grand Slam ****** le on his fourth attempt. He defeated the Italian (no, not that Italian) Flavio Cobolli in five sets on Sunday, in a match that will be less remembered for the tennis and more for the end of a strange fortnight.
After World No.1 Jannik Sinner and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic were bounced out in the second and third rounds, respectively, the draw was wide open for someone to claim their first major. Zverev’s triumph will be the big takeaway from this tournament here, although it remains to be seen if he’ll be able to compete in a tournament when Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are both healthy.
The longer-lasting legacy of this, however, might be the breakout of rising Brazilian star Joao Fonseca. The 19-year-old came back from two sets down to defeat Djokovic, and then backed that up with a win over Casper Ruud.
The last couple of seasons has left tennis watchers asking who will be the player to insert themselves into the Sinner-Alcaraz rivalry. After this tournament, it looks like we might have our answer: Joao Fonseca.

Sydney Sweeney is known for making waves thanks to her character Cassie on Euphoria. She's also known for making splashes with unique LBDs and more on the red carpet, and for diving in and producing her own work, sometimes to great box office success. But you might be surprised to learn that in her downtime she's a sporty girl who enjoys working on her vintage Bronco. At least, her Euphoria co-stars were surprised to find this out.
Sweeney was promoting her series "Syd's garage" when she made the Euphoria-related confession. She said she used to work on her vintage cars all weekend in between filming shoots and sometimes would even bring those vehicles with her to the HBO set when she had downtime. She told ET her co-stars were very surprised to find out this fact about her:
If people know about it, they ask, 'You know how to work on a car?' After Euphoria, if I wrapped on a day or had a day off, I'd go to the garage and work on my Bronco. And when I would come to work the next day, they'd be like, 'What'd you do?' And I'd say, 'Oh, I went to the garage.' And they were just so confused. And I would drive my cars to set and I would work on them in basecamp. They'd be like, 'What is Sydney doing?'
Driving has always been a big part of her life. She's a heavy thumbs up on any vehicle she can drive manually, even if it's a "workout" on the LA freeways. One of her childhood friends' dads, Rod Emory, set her up with an official garage to work in, and the rest has been history. Though, she doesn't get her 1969 Bronco out as much as she'd like, even after switching her car from the original manual to automatic in order to handle the traffic challenges.

Jakub Mensik reached the first Grand Slam semi-final of his career after beating Joao Fonseca at Roland Garros.
The 20-year-old also passed Ivan Lendl as the youngest Czech man in the Open Era to reach a Grand Slam singles semi-final. Mensik beat Fonseca 6-4, 6-3, 7-6(3) on Court Philippe Chatrier to continue his breakthrough run in Paris.
The Czech player had to hold off a late push from Fonseca, who saved match points in the third set before Mensik closed out the tie break.
It secured Mensik’s place in the last four of a major for the first time and added another major milestone to what has become the biggest tournament of his young career.
Mensik’s reaction after match point reflected the scale of the occasion. After sealing victory, he pointed towards himself in celebration as he took in the moment on one of the biggest courts in tennis.
