Carlos is here to stay! The Torreón native claimed the starting spot for the Guerreros and never let it go. He stayed loyal to his colors, even over tempting offers from the biggest clubs in the country.

The story of Armando'Hormiga' González with Chivas began long before his goals at AKRON Stadium. In 2018, at just 15 years old, he joined Guadalajara's youth academy to play for the U-15 team, also driven by a family story: his father, Armando GonzálezBejarano, wore the red-and-white jersey and passed down his love for these colors from an early age.
That is how the journey began for 'Hormiga', who grew up surrounded by stories of the Rebaño and went on to create his own within the Club.
His path through the Red-and-White Academy took him through different age groups and was marked by several achievements: he won championships with Chivas at the U-15 and U-17 levels, before enjoying one of his best tournaments in the Apertura 2023 with the U-23s, when he claimed the Golden Boot with 13 goals in the regular season and was also a key player in helping the Rebaño win the category ****** le, scoring 5 more goals in the playoffs, including the opening goal in the Final against Tigres. Earlier, on November 18, 2020, he had taken his first steps in professional soccer with Tapatío in Liga de Expansión MX.
On January 13, 2024, the time came to officially wear the First Team jersey and make his Liga MX First Division debut. That afternoon, Armando came on as a substitute in the 84th minute against Santos Laguna on Matchday 1 of the Clausura 2024, and from then on, he began turning everything he had learned over the years into goals, prominence, and moments that will remain in the memory of the red-and-white fans.
His breakthrough came in Apertura 2025. With 12 goals, he became Liga MX's Golden Boot winner, and in Clausura 2026 he scored another 12 to reach 24 goals for the soccer year.

Santiago Sandoval could not have asked for a better return to Chivas' first-team setup. After an impressive run with the Mexico U-20 National Team at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship, the Rojiblanco academy product returned to the squad with the same confidence, talent and ability to make a difference that have made him one of Guadalajara's most promising young players.
Most importantly, his return has gone beyond simply making a good impression. In his last 2 appearances, Sandoval has directly contributed to Chivas' victories, proving that he is a player capable of changing the course of a match even when coming off the bench.
His return came in the final match of the Leagues Cup against Seattle Sounders. He came on as a substitute and, with only a few minutes on the pitch, found himself inside the box to connect with a header and score the goal that ultimately proved decisive in Chivas' victory.
But if that performance was the first glimpse of his impact after returning from the U-20 Championship, what happened against Santos Laguna confirmed that it was no coincidence. In Matchweek 4 of the Apertura 2026, Sandoval came on in the 53rd minute and once again needed very little time to become a key figure. He was active throughout his time on the pitch and created dangerous situations, eventually winning the penalty that led to the goal with which Guadalajara defeated Los Guerreros 0-1.
2 matches, 2 wins and 2 different ways of making an impact. Against Seattle, with a goal. Against Santos, through his movement, his reading of the game and an individual play that ultimately led to the decisive penalty.

Guadalajara made its dominance count at TSM Stadium, defeating Santos Laguna 1-0 in Matchday 4 of the Apertura 2026. With the victory, the Rojiblancos picked up three valuable points and continued their climb up the Liga MX standings.
True to their style, the Rebaño Sagrado came out looking to take control from the opening whistle. Gabriel Milito's side pushed forward and looked to create danger in the final third. Although Guadalajara went into halftime without finding the breakthrough, the team maintained its intensity and continued searching for the opening goal.
The reward for that persistence came in the second half. Santiago Sandoval produced a brilliant individual play inside the box, using a feint to beat his marker before drawing a foul that resulted in a penalty. Ricardo Marín stepped up from the spot and calmly converted to score the goal that secured Guadalajara's victory in the Comarca Lagunera.
Guadalajara's next match will be at home. On Saturday, August 22, the Rojiblancos will welcome Tijuana to Estadio AKRON, where they will look to claim another victory in front of the entire Rojiblanco Nation. The Goal

Pete Crow-Armstrong went on a podcast last week and said with a laugh he likes the theory that Babe Ruth never existed. Baseball's internet treated it like a confession.
"This is gonna be crazy," the Cubs center fielder told Kristin Cavallari on her show "Let's Be Honest." Then he brought up the theory that the sport's greatest player may never have existed. He picked up the theory from Tayler Saucedo, a Mariners pitcher at the time, who floated it on a podcast in 2024 because he had barely seen any video of Ruth playing. Saucedo said this was a discussion in the Mariners bullpen and that they also decided that Ted Williams' legendary 500-foot home run never happened either.
Crow-Armstrong piled on Ruth saying the game has changed so much since then that pitchers back then might as well have been throwing underhand.
Then everybody lost it. One site used the quote to worry about American public education. Another brought up the plague of misinformation. A bunch of them criticized the young Cubs outfielder. It raised eyebrows and ruffled feathers! That's a lot of coverage for a 24-year-old answering a question about an unpopular opinion on a podcast hosted by somebody from "Laguna Beach."

As Alejandro Zendejas looks for his first action at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he found an unusual way to make a happy headline.
Zendejas and his teammates, Christian Pulisic and Weston McKennie, per an ESPN report, left the team hotel in Laguna Niguel, California, on Sunday, June 21, to find a pizza place. That happened several miles from their hotel, but when they tried to catch a rideshare back, they learned there was a big traffic accident that had closed down one side of the Pacific Coast Highway.

Told it would take several hours to clear everything, they considered walking, but Pulisic is nursing an injury and that didn't seem feasible.
According to ESPN, they then spotted SC Carts, a dealership that specializes in high-end, street-legal golf carts. They wandered in and started looking over the golf carts, considering a $9,000 purchase that could take them several miles, and what they would do with the cart then.

Érick Gutiérrez's departure from Chivas de Guadalajara seems imminent, but the deal carries a troubling financial twist for the club. After falling out of head coach Gabriel Milito's plans and not being called up for preseason, the midfielder is looking for a new destination, with Santos Laguna emerging as the most likely option.
According to reports from journalist Jesús Bernal, the deal being considered would be a one-year loan with an option to buy. However, the main obstacle lies in the salary structure: to complete the transfer, Guadalajara would be forced to cover part of the player's wages, since the Laguna club is not in a position to pay his full salary.
The situation is complex for the Guadalajara front office. "Guti," whose annual salary is unofficially estimated at around $1.2 million, has become an unsustainable financial burden after no longer being part of the plans.
"Chivas will have to absorb part of the player's salary, understanding that he is still under contract," Bernal explained.
This reality underscores the team's desperation to free up ***** e on its roster, even if it means continuing to pay a portion of the wages of a player who is no longer part of Milito's sporting project for the 2026 Apertura.

In the fast-paced world of Hollywood, fame can sometimes be fleeting, even for the biggest stars of the 2000s. Many celebrities who once dominated our screens have taken a step back from the limelight — some by choice, others by circumstance. From reality TV icons and chart-topping pop singers, to teen heartthrobs and comedic talents, these once-familiar faces have found new paths or disappeared entirely from the public eye. Here are the unforgettable stars whose names you still remember, but whose whereabouts might surprise you.
Known best for his roles in drama series, Shane West struck a chord with audiences seeking tender moments and underdog heroes. He played Landon Carter opposite Mandy Moore in the 2002 teen tearjerker A Walk to Remember. Despite his early promise and musical side gig with punk bands, including fronting the Germs on tour for nearly five years, Shane's career trajectory moved away from center stage. Nowadays, his public appearances are rare, making fans wonder if he may be plotting a comeback, or simply enjoying life out of the spotlight.
Cameron Diaz was once a Hollywood mainstay known for both comedic and dramatic chops, and for consistently drawing crowds at the box office. After a string of highly successful films and acclaimed performances, she decided to step back from acting to focus on her personal life and other ventures, famously calling her decade away "the best 10 years" of her life during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show. She also launched her own organic wine label, Avaline, in 2020. Diaz recently returned to acting in 2025's Back in Action.
Lauren Conrad helped define a generation's idea of celebrity. She first rose to prominence as one of the original cast members on Laguna Beach in 2004, then received her own spinoff series The Hills in 2006, which followed her life as she pursued a career in the fashion industry. After dominating the MTV era, she pivoted successfully to the fashion world, collaborating with Kohl's to launch LC Lauren Conrad in 2009, and branched into writing and philanthropy. While she still appears at charity events and in entrepreneurial circles, Conrad keeps a much lower public profile than in her reality TV heyday.
Ryan Cabrera captured the charts and viewers' hearts with his upbeat hit singles and TV-linked romances. His 2004 major-label debut album, Take It All Away, debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 and was certified Platinum. Though his musical career flourished briefly, he eventually slid out of the Top 40 but never disappeared entirely. Devoted fans can sometimes spot him performing at festivals and nostalgic pop tours, per his website. These days, he lives for the stage, but far from the pop stardom frenzy of his early years.
