Fabio Quartararo says his decision to join Honda in MotoGP next year was motivated by both a desire for an improved package and the need for a fresh start.
After eight years racing the M1 in the premier class, including six with Yamaha's factory team, Quartararo will join Honda in 2027 to spearhead its MotoGP revival.
The Frenchman has grown increasingly frustrated with Yamaha's competitive struggles in recent years, with a switch to an all-new V4 engine in 2026 only leaving the marque further adrift of the competition.
While he previously agreed a new two-year deal with the Iwata-based manufacturer covering the 2025 and 2026 seasons, this time he moved quickly, signing an agreement with Honda before his Yamaha contract was even up for renewal and before he had started its final year.
But his impending switch from one ****** anese brand to another was only announced towards the end of July, preventing him from talking about his big career switch in public.

OKOBOJI, Iowa (KCAU) - Last season was one to rembember for Okoboji football as the Pioneers secured the team's most wins in a single season since 2008, but the team is far from satisfied.
Okoboji rolled into mid-October with a 7-0 record, but tumbled in the team's final two games - including a double-digit loss at home to Unity Christian in the first round of the IHSAA 2A Playoffs.
Leading rusher and top returning receiver Asa Jacobsen is back to pace the Pioneers while quarterback Trey Vander Pol is back after throwing for over 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns. Okoboji returns all but six carries from a year ago.
The Pioneers have turned the page on last season, but are motivated to go even further.
"We felt like we were on top of the world all season. In those those last two games of the season, they suck. But they definitely helped to prepare us for this year. They got us in that mental state that we talk about trying to push past that and get the kids going next year," Jacobsen said. We've got a lot of key pieces back and a lot of guys that are bought in. You can sense the buzz around the town coming into the football season and we're excited to go win some more games this year."

Former Cincinnati Reds great Joey Votto generated buzz on social media with his responses to questions on "MLB Now" from MLB Network's Brian Kenny about whether he's interested in working for his former team.
Votto's response to the question about becoming the Reds' GM sounded drenched in sarcasm, but you be the judge.
"Do you want to coach or manage or get back in the game officially?" Kenny asked Votto.
"No, I don't," Votto replied. "Thank you for the confidence. It's very kind. Any time you're wanted, it's an honor. But I get to do this. I get to come here and hang out. And, no I'm just not motivated to hop on a plane and head all over the country. And, most importantly, to serve the hitter, you have to spend time in the minor leagues."
"How about front office?" Kenny asked Votto.

Returning to Boston, a Motivated Connor Clifton Looks to Bolster Bruins' Defense originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The last two seasons for the Bruins have seen the team miss the playoffs or lose in the first round. Something was needed to give the team a spark. How about the return of an old teammate?
After a run with the Sabres and Penguins, Connor Clifton looks to once again create chaos with the Bruins, a team he spent his first five seasons with, signing a two-year contract with a $2.25 million cap hit.
The defenseman from New Jersey, a member of the ECAC All-Tournament Team at Quinnipiac, joined the Providence Bruins in 2017 before signing an entry-level deal with the Bruins in 2018. A fixture on the third defense pairing, Clifton became a menace on the ice in the early 2020s.
In those five seasons in Boston, Clifton had 10 goals and 33 **** ists. He accumulated a career-high 23 points during the 2022-23 season, during which he led the Bruins in hits (208). Clifton led the Penguins with 180 hits last season.

As Lane Kiffin settles in for his debut season at LSU, he's doing so in the second year of the revenue-sharing era in college football. It adds another layer to the NIL era, and he said the program has "evolved" with the times.
During his Monday press conference, Kiffin was asked about whether player motivation has changed as a result of NIL. The way he sees it, athletes now have even more at stake when they take the field for practice and on Saturdays for games.
$19.99 gets you a FULL year of On3 | Rivals national coverage
Previously, players were solely on a scholarship. But as roster costs go up, that means they have the opportunity to earn even more money if they perform well. As a result, Kiffin said there's even more on the line.
"We've evolved in that, in how we talk," Kiffin said. "They make a lot of money, a lot of them now. So, to me, there's a little bit of a difference in there. If you get what part of your motivation was, are you still motivated? We work through that in the way that we talk to them, the things that we point to. But also, I think, in a way, people talk about all the problems with them making money – which there are problems that come with that – there's also a good side, too, because I think they feel more like it's a big job vs. 'Oh, I just have a scholarship. I kind of show up and do football part-time.'

Texas A&M's 2026 season-opener vs. Missouri State is less than three weeks away, and entering his third sesaon at the helm, coach Mike Elko should be encouraged by what he's witnessed from the redshirt junior quarterback Marcel Reed, who has improved accuracy, especially on the deep ball, which was on full display during Saturday's scrimmage after hitting Alabama transfer wideout Isaiah Horton in stride on a 30-plus yard throw.
The only thing preventing Marcel Reed, in my opinion, from matching his 2025 production is whether the revamped offensive line, featuring four new starters, gels early in the year. This group will feature returning starting center Mark Nabou, four new SEC transfers, and several rising offensive linemen from the 2025 signing class.
Again, if this group at least becomes an above-average pass-blocking unit, Marcel Reed will be passing to what is nationally considered one of the deepest wide receiver rotations in the country, now including Alabama transfer Isaiah Horton, who brings much-needed size at 6'4", while Mario Craver, Ashton Bethel-Roman, Terry Bussey, and freshman Aaron Gregory fill out the rotation.
Last season, Reed passed for a career-high 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns, while 8 of his 12 interceptions came against top-35-ranked defenses, which has been the focus this offseason, working with new OC Holmon Wiggins and QB coach Joey Lynch. Entering the 2026 season with a solid 77.9 QBR, On3 ranks Reed 9th nationally.
"Reed was tremendous in leading Texas A&M to an 11-0 start last season. Then, he was fairly pedestrian — and that might be generous — in the team's two losses to Texas and Miami to close out the 2025 campaign. Decision-making in big moments is the real key for Reed. He needs to avoid costly turnovers in big games. But in terms of raw skill, he's got as much as anyone in the country. And he's probably aptly motivated after the way 2025 ended."

Paul George is ecstatic to be playing for the Boston Celtics after his first visit originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
After the Boston Celtics made the trade that sent Jaylen Brown to the Philadelphia 76ers, a lot of people counted out Paul George. Considering he does not have a championship under his belt at 36, a lot of people are not fans of the move.
Despite losing a former Finals MVP, the Celtics are focused on building around Jayson Tatum. With George in the fold, they have a veteran who has a history of standing out, but it can be quite challenging. However, it seems he is excited to contribute and help the Celtics succeed.
Unfortunately for PG13, he does not have a good reputation right now after his struggles in recent years. There is still a brilliant player in there, but he is a bit older now, and he is not the same player he was once during his prime. However, he is still a tremendously talented player who will want to contribute.
The Celtics expect him to be a big-time contributor, as he will be the primary running mate to Tatum. It is a swap between him and Brown, who are some big shoes to fill. However, George seems excited and motivated to help the Celtics in their ***** le pursuit.

(In Aug. 14 story, corrects to attribute comment in paragraph 8 to a State Department spokesperson instead of to a named individual.)
MEXICO CITY, Aug 14 (Reuters) - Andres Manuel Lopez Beltran, a son of former Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, said the United States has revoked his visa, accusing Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Deputy Secretary Christopher Landau of ordering what he called a politically motivated decision.
Lopez Beltran, widely known as "Andy," made the claim in a letter to U.S. President Donald Trump that was released late on Thursday. He said U.S. authorities had provided no evidence linking him to any crime or wrongdoing.
Washington has expanded a campaign targeting Mexican officials accused of ties to organized crime. Reuters reported in October that the Trump administration had revoked the visas of at least 50 Mexican politicians and officials, including figures from across the political spectrum, as part of its cartel crackdown.
Visa cancellations can apply to officials engaged in drug trafficking, corruption or aiding illegal immigration, State Department officials have said.

The Chicago Bears took on the Cleveland Browns in their first preseason game of 2026. This group came into training camp motivated and ready to work in hopes of improving on the great season they had a year ago.
Having a better start to the year could be the difference between them winning the division and trailing all year. It starts with a strong training camp and preseason. Saturday provided a good start as the Bears defeated the Browns, 34-10.
Head coach Ben Johnson doesn't struggle to get everyone on the team to play hard, and it showed in the victory. There were sloppy moments at times, which is expected during this time of year, but everyone came together for a good overall showing.
Here are our grades for the offense, defense, special teams and coaching staff following the Bears' preseason opener.
Chicago's offense took a second to get going in the first quarter. Quarterback Tyson Bagent looked a little bit out of sync, and they had a hard time driving the ball down the field. Eventually, however, Bagent started to find his rhythm, which allowed him to get the Bears back in the game after going down 10-0.

The debate over transgender women competing in elite women's sports has descended into a full-blown political firestorm.
The latest instigator was a now-viral interview by Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham, who told ESPN in a July 21 article that she wants to "protect young girls in a locker room, or young girls in sport who shouldn't have to go against biological men."
The weeks that followed have been packed with political posturing, protests and provocative talk-show fodder, much of it aimed at dividing people much more than to actually support women's sports.
Amid the tension, a pair of former NBA players — Royce White and ex-Knicks center Enes Kanter Freedom — announced ulterior-motivated plans to enter the 2027 WNBA Draft, ridiculously claiming they identify as women.
After a WNBA task force met Wednesday to discuss the situation, the league denounced any "bad-faith efforts to use these topics to demean or marginalize others."

The Leagues Cup 2026 knockout field is set and… well, LIGA MX mostly sent the usual suspects and MLS decided to change things up!
A few surprise stories are unfolding on the MLS side, some with a better chance of continuing than others. The caliber of LIGA MX opponents left won't make it easy.
With eight teams left, here's who's got the best shot at a trophy. And remember: MLS teams have won all three prior versions of the tournament. LIGA MX teams are highly motivated to change that.
Toluca would have topped this list regardless of who they drew in the bracket. They've won just about everything over the last couple of years.

ANAHEIM, Calif. - The Los Angeles Angels made a shocking series of moves on Tuesday with the announcement that pitching coach Mike Maddux, bullpen coach Dom Chiti and ***** istant pitching coach Darryll Scott would all be parting ways with the team.
The dismissals were facilitated by interim general manager John Mozeliak, who has continued his aggressiveness in the front office after a trade deadline where he turned the Angels into sellers for the first time in a long time. Tim Leveque has been named interim pitching coach and Michael Wuertz was named interim bullpen coach to fill the voids left by the dismissals.
Mozeliak's moves were motivated by one main factor, that being that the Angels' pitching staff wasn't sufficiently using the technology and ***** ytical data available to them to try and improve performance or development.
Angels officially announce firing of Mike Maddux, Dom Chiti and Darryl Scott -- Tim Leveque (former Cardinals development coach and Rocket City PC) has been named Interim pitching coach, Michael Wuertz (long-time Angels pitching development coach) has been named bullpen coach
"Over the time of of talking with different staff members, different players and there was just this undercurrent of trying to get ourselves to be using all the different tools that you see a lot of pitchers use today... and just really try to leverage that in how we help players grow," Mozeliak said. "I think there was becoming some level of frustration with the inconsistency of that."

David Gray took a massive risk at Ibrox with a team selection that hinted heavily at prioritising our Conference League fixture on Thursday over one of the most difficult away games in the league.
He brought in several players from the cold, notably Ante Suto, Thibault Klidje, Josh Campbell and Kanyo Megwa, raising more than a few eyebrows among the Hibs support.
But the gaffer's brave choice was vindicated with a battling performance from a Hibs side that won away to Rangers for the third successive season for the first time in our history.
Gray has made a habit of breaking unwanted records - Sunday was also the first time Rangers manager Derek McInnes had lost a home game to Hibs.
We looked every bit the well-coached, motivated team Gray's critics have suggested we are not.

Two World **** les. One relentless standard. Austrian superstar Stella "Always Hungry" Hemetsberger has absolutely no intention of letting either slip when she steps through the ropes at ONE Fight Night 46 on Prime Video.
The 27-year-old makes her first defense of the ONE Women's Strawweight Muay Thai World **** le against Russian standout Natalia "Karelian Lynx" Diachkova in the main event of the blockbuster card, which will broadcast live in U.S. primetime this Friday, August 14, from Bangkok's historic Lumpinee Stadium.
The past 12 months have been nothing short of remarkable for Hemetsberger. She defeated Jackie Buntan in back-to-back matchups to capture both the ONE Women's Strawweight Kickboxing World **** le and the Muay Thai crown.
Both victories proved that the Salzburgian — only the third two-sport ONE World Champion in the women's division after Stamp Fairtex and Janet "JT" Todd — is no ordinary talent. However, none of that success has softened her competitive edge.
True to the moniker she has carried throughout her steady rise, the Austrian insists the version of herself stepping in against Diachkova is no different from the highly motivated newcomer who first turned heads on ONE Friday Fights.

President Donald Trump distanced himself from voters' ire with Republicans ahead of the 2026 midterm elections, telling Punchbowl News in an interview released Friday he thinks voters are angry with the party more generally, but not him.
"The question is will they vote? 'Cause a lot of them are very angry at Republicans to be honest with you," he said, noting that he's not on the ballot and adding, "They're not angry at me, but they are angry at Republicans."
Republicans are trailing Democrats on the generic congressional ballot by 8 points among registered voters, according to a CNN poll conducted by SSRS out late last month, indicating the electorate is agitating for wholesale changes in Congress.
Democrats also continue to hold a significant advantage in voter enthusiasm and have a 20-point advantage in preferences among those who say they are extremely motivated to vote. And 63% of Americans say the GOP is focusing too little on cost-of-living issues, compared with 52% who say the Democrats aren't spending enough time on it.

"Joel is great," Gansey said in an interview with ESPN's Kevin Negandhi that aired Thursday. "This is like the first summer I think in a while that he's been healthy, so he's been in the gym working out. He's been lifting weights. He's extra motivated. He wants to play a lot of games, and he's excited about the group we've built now. "Even before these trades and LeBron, I think he was excited. So he's motivated to have a good year and he's ready to go."

Everybody wants to find the next Puka Nacua. Which wide receiver is going to take the leap? Who is going to go from being viewed as a good receiver, a promising player or someone we are simply hopeful about, to become a true difference-maker who can tilt an entire fantasy football season?
Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season
But what does "elite" actually mean? Last season was unusually soft at the position, with the WR12 averaging just 11.78 half-PPR points per game. Over the past five years, the average WR6 has scored roughly 14.5 points per game. That is the standard I am using here.
We are not just looking for receivers who can finish inside the top 12. We are looking for players who can push themselves into the tier right behind the absolute best at the position.
It is crazy to think about the season George Pickens had last year and still see his name included on a list of potential breakout stars. Pickens entered the season with people questioning whether he could co-exist with a new team, remain motivated and consistently play within the structure of an offense. He squashed those concerns by turning 137 targets into 93 receptions, 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns. His 14.44 half-PPR points per game essentially reached the elite benchmark already and his underlying efficiency was just as impressive. Pickens produced 0.633 EPA per target, 2.35 yards per route run and 3.42 yards per route against man coverage.

A powerlifter who alleged she was subjected to a racially motivated act that she says led to her disqualification from an event has said she "does not feel safe" when competing.
Belgium's Sonita Muluh was attempting a record 334.5kg squat at the Powerlifting Championships in Lithuania in June when Ernestas Kusinas - a 'spotter' who helps to ensure the validity of an attempted lift - touched the weights with his knee.
Muluh was disqualified and not allowed to reattempt the lift by judges, who ruled on a separate technical infringement.
But police in Lithuania have launched a criminal investigation after Kusinas later wrote on Instagram: "I am racist, and I did it intentionally."
A police spokesperson told Reuters the investigation will focus on the Instagram message and events at the championship, with a maximum penalty of two years in prison.

Max Verstappen's future has been the topic of heated conversation for well over 18 months now, dating back to his last Formula 1 world championship triumph in 2024.
The four-time world champion, the outstanding driver of his generation, officially has a £50m-a-year contract with Red Bull until the end of the 2028 season.
However, the Dutchman is motivated by competitiveness. Red Bull have been unable to provide him with a top-tier car in the last two seasons, as illustrated by their constructors' finishing spot: third last year and, at the 2026 summer break, fourth this year. As such, Verstappen is being linked with a move away.
The futures of Max Verstappen and Fernando Alonso are shrouded in speculation (Getty)
There is other "silly season" speculation too: Carlos Sainz is understandably disappointed with Williams' poor start to the season and is said to be looking elsewhere, while Fernando Alonso looks to be on the brink of retirement given Aston Martin's torrid plight.

The Liverpool players return to training from Wednesday before taking on Monaco in a friendly at Anfield on Sunday (14:30 BST).
Dominik Szoboszlai was full of praise for 19-year-old Trey Nyoni, who has been one of the standouts of pre-season so far. The midfielder only managed 229 minutes under former boss Arne Slot last season but has put himself in line to play a more prominent role under Iraola.
"I always knew that he's a good player. In training, he showed his quality many times," said Szoboszlai. "Also when he had the chance to play in some cup games or even in the Premier League. He's a very good player. The squad is short, so we need everybody."
And Szoboszlai agreed it is a clean slate for everyone in the squad before Liverpool begin their Premier League season at Newcastle United on 23 August.
"It's a new manager. Everyone is motivated. I think I see in everybody's eyes that he wants to play - and if you want to play, you have to give your best," he said.

Rúben Amorim has sent a pointed message to Rafael Leão on the eve of his first Milan derby, insisting the forward should feel fortunate to represent the club amid ongoing questions over his future.
With quotes via Tuttomercatoweb, the Milan coach was speaking before Wednesday's pre-season meeting with Inter in Perth.
Asked about Leão, whose exit had looked likely before offers so far failed to materialise, Amorim struck a firm but warm note.
"Rafa is lucky to be at a club like Milan, so he should be happy. I feel that he's happy and motivated," he said. "I don't know what will happen between now and the end of the window, but I feel the group is really united. I haven't heard or seen any difference in Leão compared to the other lads."

Jaylen Brown admits he felt disrespected by people he thought were on his side originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
After playing his entire career to this point with the Boston Celtics, Jaylen Brown seems ecstatic to be playing for the Philadelphia 76ers. It was one of the biggest trades of the offseason, as it saw Brown being traded for Paul George and a haul of draft picks.
From an outside perspective, it looked like a salary dump. Considering he was almost traded for Giannis Antetokounmpo just before that ended up going the Miami Heat's way, it signalled the end of Brown's time in Boston. There was no coming back from that for the Celtics, so they shipped him off to Philly, a city that is a fierce rival of Boston.
Despite the success he had in his 10 years with the Celtics, it seems Brown could not convince the organization that he was there for the long haul. With the contract he had alongside Jayson Tatum, team president Brad Stevens and his front office believed it was the right time to part ways.
Of course, that decision was not easy for Stevens because he has a long-standing relationship with Brown. However, it seems that was not received well by Brown because he is now with the 76ers, and he is motivated by people who apparently disrespected him.

This is an exciting summer for Real Madrid as the Spanish team is going into the next season with significant changes in the team. While five new players have already been signed and some new signings are also expected in the coming weeks, the most notable change remains that of the head coach, as Jose Mourinho has taken over from Alvaro Arbeloa.
It was a similar feeling last year, when the Merengues had appointed Xabi Alonso to take over from Carlo Ancelotti. However, that experiment did not turn out to be very successful for Los Blancos, as the Spanish tactician lasted only half a season on the bench before he was dismissed in January, after the Spanish Super Cup final loss to Barcelona.
After spending the latter half of the last season without a job, Alonso joined the Premier League side Chelsea this summer, and is going to lead the Blues' next project. As Diario AS has reported, he appeared in an interview with The Athletic, and for the first time commented on his difficult time on the Real Madrid bench.
Personally, the former midfielder revealed that he had overcome the disappointment of his failure at Madrid:
"Fortunately, I don't have many scars in my career… Okay, I do have one scar, but it heals. Now that it has healed, I am very motivated and determined to enjoy this new chapter (at Chelsea) just as I did when I started at Madrid."

Most people know the general gist of Maycon Cardozo's rise through the ranks of Bayern Munich so far, but it is worth repeating how rapidly the pint sized magician has overcome every challenge thus far. Picked as part of the 2024 Bayern World Squad edition, the Brazilian impressed the likes of Roy Makaay and his fellow World Squad coaches so much that they unanimously agreed to recommend Bayern to sign the youngster from the Sports Thai Bavaria Academy in Thailand. He duly joined the U17s in January 2025, moved up to the U-19s in the summer, made it to the U-23s by January 2026 and made his first team debut under Vincent Kompany in March 2026 in a 4-1 victory over Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Now two 2026/27 preseason games are gone and Cardozo has passed his next challenge. Moved all over the pitch to unfamiliar positions, including on the right flank against Rottach-Egern, he nevertheless impressed. Nor are just his performances on the pitch impressive, multiple coaches have been impressed by the youngster's work ethic. Bildreports (as captured by iMiaSanMia) that Cardozo has an outside chance at a role with the first team for the 2026/27 season:
Maycon Cardozo has emerged as one of the winners of the first part of pre-season. The 17-year old Brazilian stood out in training with his work ethic and attacking drive, receiving recognition from Vincent Kompany. Cardozo also left a good impression in yesterday's friendly and is increasingly making a strong case for himself to be permanently included in the first team
FCB II head coach Dante was also impressed: "Maycon always gives it his all – always. I even had to stop him once and tell him he shouldn't always be sprinting. He is always motivated and focused, always thinking about the next ball. That's a great quality. With his attitude, he's a role model for our team."
Because of this commitment and performances, Cardozo will be included in the squad for the Asia tour, and could get game time in the friendlies there. After the tour, it will become clearer whether Cardozo has a realistic chance of playing a role for the first team this season.

CHICAGO — General manager Ryan Poles is going to need to clear some time in his schedule for Jaylon Johnson after the season.
If things go the way the Chicago Bears cornerback envisions, it's going to be time for them to talk about a raise — a big one — for the two-time Pro Bowl selection.
Poles surely loves having players who are supremely motivated and confident in themselves in a very public manner. That's precisely what Johnson did after a wet and soggy practice Saturday morning at Halas Hall.
"This is definitely a contract year," Johnson said in his first media availability since January. "We all know with the cap (has risen) and all that stuff. It's definitely a contract year for me, so at the end of the day, whether that's here or somewhere else, I've got to put it on tape that I am still a top guy in this league."
The next move, of course, belongs to Johnson. Everyone is curious what he looks like after playing in only nine games last season, including the postseason, and dealing with a groin injury that required core muscle surgery.

WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) — If the New York Giants get the same Kayvon Thibodeaux this season who showed up the first few days of training camp, he'll force his way onto the field and make himself a lot of money next spring.
Thibodeaux tipped a pass from Jameis Winston in the first practice and intercepted one in the second earlier this week, showing flashes of what made him the fifth pick in the 2022 draft. He has been playing mostly with the second-string defense, given edge rushers Brian Burns and Abdul Carter also being on the roster.
He brushed that off, along with going into a contract year, as any extra fuel. Still, the Giants very well could get a motivated Thibodeaux after no trade materialized for him at or before the draft, and with a potential payday — likely elsewhere — coming for him in free agency next March.
"You just want to be the best player you can be," Thibodeaux said Saturday. "Keep finding ways to help the team. Keep leading."
Thibodeaux is coming off setting career lows with 2 1/2 sacks, 25 tackles and nine quarterback hits, playing in just 10 games before a shoulder injury ended his fourth NFL season. A reduced role on a unit with Burns and Carter didn't help, and he's not sure where he fits now.

Dortmund have high hopes for the highly rated attacking prospect, who has already caught the eye during the club's summer preparations. Although the 17-year-old made only one brief Bundesliga appearance last season, he has looked sharp in pre-season and even found the net against Fortuna Düsseldorf.Kovač was quick to highlight the youngster's qualities.
"You can see what abilities he has. He's fast, strong in the air, and I have to say he put in a lot of effort," the Dortmund coach said after the match.Known for demanding a high level of defensive discipline from his players, Kovač has clearly been pleased with Albert's willingness to improve without the ball. The teenager admitted that the increased tactical and physical demands have helped take his game to another level.
"It has helped me take a certain aspect of my game to a new level. Before, I wasn't the best in some areas, but this has motivated me to work much harder. There are higher demands, such as the work rate and the **** e that needs to be covered, especially in the new, more central position. This has definitely helped my game a lot."
Albert, who regards Kylian Mbappé as his role model, is not lacking in ambition. Looking beyond pre-season, the American youngster has set himself lofty goals at the club.
My dream is to become an important player for the club and to stand out, to be a true leader and help the team win games. I don't want to reduce my game to just statistics. My main goal is to get better every day and develop as much as possible," he told Sky.Reflecting on his rapid rise, Albert admitted that the past six months have flown by."Training with the professionals every day and improving as a player was fantastic,"he said.

Harry Kane's future has occasionally been the subject of speculation, with rumors linking him to a potential return to the Premier League or even a move elsewhere in Europe. However, after a sensational campaign with Bayern Munich that saw him lift major trophies, put together one of the greatest goal-scoring seasons in modern football, and firmly establish himself in the Ballon d'Or conversation, there appears to be little reason for the England captain to consider leaving. Former Chelsea ****** istant manager Jody Morris believes Kane is exactly where he should be and made a compelling case for both his future in Munich and his Ballon d'Or credentials.
"I don't see why Harry Kane would want to move. Bayern Munich is an amazing football club. He is in Ballon d'Or conversations while winning trophies. Unless he wanted a new family experience in Spain or wanted to come back to break the Premier League record, those would be the only things to pull him away," Morris told BOYLE Sports, who offer the latest football odds. "The level he performed at last year for Bayern was phenomenal. He never quite hit that same level in the World Cup, although his goal tally was decent. Vincent Kompany has been a great fit for him."
Morris raises valid points. Kane finally achieved what had eluded him for so much of his career by winning major silverware while continuing to produce elite individual numbers. Bayern Munich has given him a platform to compete for every trophy each season, and Kompany's attacking style has allowed Kane to thrive as both a scorer and creator. Unless Kane is motivated by personal milestones such as breaking the Premier League's all-time scoring record or experiencing a different league, there is little sporting incentive to leave.
Morris also believes Kane deserves football's highest individual honor.
"In my opinion, he should win the Ballon d'Or. He had the second-best goal-scoring season in history," said Morris. "How do you not win the Ballon d'Or with those numbers while winning trophies and going deep in a tournament with England?"
