According to MMA's leading promotion, the Brazilian flyweight was found unresponsive on Monday morning after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep.
"Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was ****** ounced deceased at the scene," added a UFC statement.
"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan's family, friends, team-mates and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time."
Nascimento had been with the UFC since 2021 and his last fight was a split-decision loss to Mitch Raposo in June.

The Pirates placed right-handed starter Mitch Keller on the 60-day injured list with a right arm teres major muscle injury, ending his season.
It's been a difficult year for Keller, who took the loss on Sunday against the Reds after allowing seven runs in two innings. Keller made 22 starts and went 6-8 with a 5.29 ERA, his highest mark since he pitched to a 6.17 ERA in 2021. The right-hander's 6.9 strikeouts per nine innings this season are the lowest of his career excluding the shortended-2020 season.
Things started off well for Keller this season. The 30-year-old was 4-1 with a 2.87 ERA in his first eight starts through May 7. But over his last 14 starts, Keller went 2-7 with a 6.95 ERA.
Keller is under contract with the Pirates for two more seasons. He will make just under $18.5 million in 2027 and will make just shy of $20.5 million in 2028.

Of course, the Cavs got swept, but it was a step in the right direction. Some of the players and fans thought they could've gotten LeBron James for a third stint in free agency, but it did not work out, as he signed with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Now that LeBron is with the 76ers, people are speculating about the reasons why he didn't join the other teams in the running to sign him. Cleveland was among them, which would have been a poetic ending to LeBron's career because he is an Ohio native, and he already had two stints in Cleveland with a championship in the second.
Since they have a talented roster with Harden, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Jarrett Allen, the Cavaliers are always a team that can threaten anyone. They reached the Conference Finals, and they are on a positive trajectory despite the loss in the postseason.

Hundreds of graduating seniors are doing an about-face and returning to the college level for one more year, including former St. John's guard Oziyah Sellers, who entered the transfer portal on Saturday. Another Red Storm senior could join him soon.
Dillon Mitchell, the former St. John's forward and Boston Celtics rookie, could return to the program this upcoming season, according to Adam Zagoria. The Red Storm are also reportedly interested in Auburn forward and All-SEC selection Keyshawn Hall, another senior eyeing a fifth season in college basketball.
Mitchell was selected with the 40th overall pick in the 2026 NBA draft by the Boston Celtics and stood out in the NBA Summer League, averaging 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds on solid shooting efficiency in three games. Yet, he remains unsigned by the team, meaning he is still eligible to return to college basketball if he can't agree to terms with the Celtics.
His pathway to a possible comeback is clear after forward Gildas Gimenez was reportedly deemed academically ineligible, opening up a spot on the 15-man roster if Mitchell opts to go back to college.
The ultra-athletic 6-foot-8 forward transferred to St. John's following stops at Texas and Cincinnati, quickly forming a three-headed monster with fellow All-Big East honorees Zuby Ejiofor and Bryce Hopkins. Mitchell played four college seasons, most recently at St. John's, went through the NBA draft process, and was selected by the Boston Celtics at No. 40. Now he might return to St. John's for a fifth season. A handful of other players could follow his lead.
Recently, the NCAA introduced what is commonly called the "five for five" rule: Division I college athletes have five years to complete five seasons of playing their sport. No more red-shirt years, and it doesn't matter if a player transfers schools.
That starts this fall, but left the class of 2022 that just graduated after four years out in the cold. Now, Colorado U.S. District Judge Charlotte Sweeney issued an injunction saying the class of 2022 should qualify and get another year. The NCAA is appealing that ruling.
"Mitchell returning to St. John's is being considered," reports basketball insider Adam Zagoria.

Mitch Weitz has been named the interim football head coach. He is an ****** istant coach for football and the boys bowling head coach at Carroll.
"As a result of an on-field incident at practice, effective immediately, Mike Pomfret is no longer employed at Archbishop Carroll High School as a teacher or coach," said Carroll High School principal Matt Sableski said in a statement.
Pomfret, a 2007 Carroll alum, was entering his second season as the football head coach at Carroll after being hired in January 2025.

Mohammad Amir's new British citizenship could create a fresh complication for the Pakistan fast bowler ahead of the 2027 Pakistan Super League (PSL). Although Amir played as a domestic cricketer in the PSL until last season, he is now expected to be treated as an overseas player.

Amir spoke about the change during an appearance on Wisden's The Scoop Extended, revealing that his new citizenship status would affect how he is classified in the PSL. His British citizenship was confirmed in June after Nottinghamshire signed him for the 2026 Vitality Blast.

The move has already allowed Amir to be treated as a domestic player in English competitions. He also played for Trent Rockets in the 2026 edition of The Hundred after replacing David Payne.
The situation is different in Pakistan. Amir is expected to be classified as an overseas player in the PSL, meaning any team wanting him will have to use one of its foreign-player slots.

Amir played for Rawalpindi in PSL 2026 after being bought for PKR 5.4 crore in the league's first auction. He was among the team's major signings alongside Naseem Shah and Daryl Mitchell.

The change could create a problem because players retained or bought before PSL 2026 were given two-year contracts covering the 2026 and 2027 seasons. Under the PSL auction rules, teams can retain up to seven players for PSL 12, while released players return to the auction pool.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet clarified whether Rawalpindi can keep Amir under his existing deal after his status changes. The team may have to release him, renegotiate his contract or use an overseas-player slot to retain him.

Reports suggesting that PSL 2027 could be Amir's final season have not been confirmed by the cricketer, PCB or Rawalpindi.

For now, what is clear is that Amir holds a British passport, is treated as a domestic player in England and is expected to be an overseas player in the PSL. A formal PCB clarification on his Rawalpindi contract is still awaited.

The Toronto Blue Jays traded starting pitcher Kevin Gausman to the Chicago Cubs last night for minor leaguers Brett Bateman and Ty Southisene. This morning, it is being announced that the Jays are acquiring starting pitcher Jose Soriano from the Anaheim Angels for minor leaguers Arjun Nimmala, Eddie Mitcheletti and Angel Rivero.
So we have got some of the rare buy-and-sell action from the Jays. At 4.5 games back of Wild Card 3 and 13.5 games back in the American League East, it makes sense that the Jays would deal Gausman, a 35 year old in the final year of a 5 year, $110 million deal. Gausman's 4.38 ERA in 2026 is the first 4+ ERA he's had in his time with the Jays, though his FIP of 3.51 and xERA of 3.95 are in line with what he put up last year, when he had a 3.59 ERA, 3.73 xERA and 3.41 FIP. Gausman was a stalwart in the Jays' playoff run in 2025, allowing ten runs in five starts and a relief appearance covering 30.2 innings in the 2025 postseason, and gives the Cubs a veteran arm to help them down the stretch and that can bolster their playoff rotation.
The return for Gausman is not as impressive as I would have expected. Southisene is #10 on the Baseball America Cubs top 30 list, and Bateman isn't on their top 30. Southisene is a 21 year old middle infielder who was a fourth round pick in 2024 and is slashing .306/.425/.372 between low-A and high-A this season. Bateman was an 8th round pick in 2023 out of the University of Minnesota, and has slashed .312/.430/.421 at AAA this season while playing primarily center field.
Having parted with a starting pitcher who was slated to be a free agent at the end of the season, the Jays are apparently replacing him with a starting pitcher who is under team control through 2028. Soriano, 27, is a righthander who had a dominating start to the season, allowing just one run in his first six starts. For the season he has a 3.29 ERA and 3.79 FIP in 123 innings over 22 starts. He's making just $2.9 million this season, and is likely looking at somewhere in the neighborhood of $6 million for 2027.
Soriano was reportedly generating a lot of interest, and the Angels were thought likely to deal him, though the expectation was that it would be a contender acquiring Soriano. Instead, the Jays were the top bidder, and while they are unlikely to be in the playoff mix this year, they do have someone they can pencil into their rotation for the following two years.

Indiana entered the matchup riding a four-game winning streak but struggled to contain Minnesota from the opening tip. The Lynx scored 64 points in the first half, shot 57 percent from the field and pulled away with an 8-2 run late in the fourth quarter.
Clark finished with 19 points and 10 ****** ists, while Kelsey Mitchell carried the scoring load with a game-high 37 points. However, the Fever's offensive production was not enough to overcome their trouble getting stops and finishing defensive possessions. Texas A&M's 2026 season is just a month away, as the Aggies will open the new campaign against Missouri State on Saturday, Sept. 5, which also means the 2028 recruiting class will begin to take shape, including a long list of priority prospects visiting the Aggies during one of seven games in Kyle Field.
Under coach Mike Elko, who is entering his third season at the helm, the Aggies are close to locking up the No. 1-ranked 2027 recruiting class, even after missing out on landing five-star running back Landen Williams-Callis, who committed to Texas on Saturday night. So far, A&M's lone 2028 commit is four-star Edge Chance Archangel, while the Aggies are heavily predicted to land blue-chip five-star quarterback Donald Tabron III.
Other names to watch include four-star running back and Aggie legacy Ian Thomas, while fellow A&M legacy and four-star wide receiver Dillon Mitchell has also been predicted to land with the Aggies. The college basketball landscape was rocked by yet another massive rule change over this weekend. A federal judge from Colorado granted an injunction declaring that high school class of 2022 athletes were eligible for a fifth season of play, retroactively applying the NCAA's new five-year eligibility model to this cohort.
Predictably, many fourth-year players are entering the transfer portal to use their additional year of eligibility, including former St. John's guard Oziyah Sellers. On3 reported on Saturday morning that the California native will return to college basketball for one more season.
A member of last year's star-studded transfer class, Sellers averaged 10.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.6 ****** ists on 42.9% shooting and 35.1% from three last season, leading the Johnnies with 53 three-pointers made.
Sellers went unselected in the 2026 NBA draft and suited up for the New York Knicks in last month's NBA Summer League, recording 5.8 points per game in five appearances off the bench.
Unlike fellow seniors Zuby Ejiofor and Bryce Hopkins, Sellers retains his college basketball eligibility because he did not sign a standard NBA contract or a two-way deal. Dillon Mitchell can still return to college basketball since he has yet to ink a contract with the Boston Celtics, but he could potentially take one of the Celtics' remaining two-way contract slots following an impressive Summer League performance that saw him average 13.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in three games.

Will Levis isn't the Tennessee ***** ans' starting quarterback. But he still believes he deserves to be someone's starting quarterback.
"There are not 32 quarterbacks in this league better than me," Levis told reporters after ***** ans practice on Aug. 1. "I know that for sure."
Levis has been practicing as a reserve quarterback behind starter Cam Ward since returning to the ***** ans in the spring. The embattled former ***** ans second-round pick and once-anointed quarterback of the future missed all of 2025 recovering from shoulder surgery, and he's returned to a team with not only Ward as the new quarterback of the future, but also with veteran Mitchell Trubisky installed as the likeliest backup option.
That puts Levis in a precarious position. Levis says one of his biggest emphases while away from the game was on learning how to express feelings he once would've suppressed. He's not holding onto his failures anymore. He's having difficult conversations. He's confronting himself and telling himself the truth. And it's letting him focus on having fun on the field rather than needing to constantly prove himself to the whole world, and to himself.
In Levis' mind, playing that way doesn't at all conflict with the conviction he's holding onto that he deserves to be a starter.

At the All-Star Break's conclusion, I wrote on expectations, and their virtue as an exercise with this franchise towards a more hopeful future near and far. These Seattle Mariners, 3.0 games back of the AL West and the third Wild Card spot alike, have earned little and less belief. They've played poorly, wasted chances, and frittered opportunities to cleanse their palates. Much has rightly been made of the necessity for the core players to perform at or near the standards they've set for several years. But Seattle is giving up massive production on the fringes, and they've forced themselves into an uncomfortable, desperate position.
It is time for them to call up Michael Arroyo.
Seattle needs right-handed hitting, and with J.P. Crawford sidelined at least for several weeks, there is no easy solution at third base. Brendan Donovan returns on Tuesday to rotate around the field, but it's hard to look at the lineup as constructed and see anywhere for him to play more frequently than the hot corner. Arroyo has played some third base, but it's realistically not where he could be thrown in, although his defense is less egregious and more limited if asked to play second base or corner outfield. But they need his bat, because the Mariners need to take some risks, and rotating Weston Wilson, Victor Robles, Rob Refsnyder, Leo Rivas, and Mitch Garver through to take flaccid swing after flaccid swing is a Wile. E. Coyote kind of road that the Mariners have been slamming into the wall of all summer. The Rainiers' roster is stocked with similar players who've struggled to set themselves apart this year and over many years, from Connor Joe to Patrick Wisdom to Stuart Fairchild, along with injured options like Ryan Bliss and Brennen Davis. With Luke Raley seemingly ailing, the M's have to be more aggressive to rev up their offense before it's too late.

Arroyo is a 21 year old Colombian ~utilityman whose profile made him the most-heralded hitting prospect from his burgeoning baseball nation since Colombia's first and greatest star: SS Edgar Renteria. The 5'10, compact youngster has never been at the top of Seattle's prospect list, but has hit his way into top-100 status nationally over the past couple seasons, with an approach I first wrote about in the winter before the 2024 season. Following a strong debut at age 18 with the Low-A Modesto Nuts, I said this of Arroyo:

Shane Drohan turned in six strong innings in a bounce-back outing, while the Brewers broke the game open with a five-run fifth inning fueled by home runs from Brice Turang and Jake Bauers. After dropping two of three to the Giants to open their California road trip, Milwaukee got back on track tonight with a 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels.
After neither team managed to score in the first, Bauers and Garrett Mitchell led off the top of the second with back-to-back singles off Angels starter Ryan Johnson. Up next was Cooper Pratt, who slapped a line drive into left field. With Bauers rounding third, Angels left fielder Jose Siri charged the ball in an attempt to gun him down at the plate but couldn't come up with it cleanly. By the time the dust settled, Pratt had reached second, Mitchell advanced to third, and Bauers had scored the Brewers' first run of the game.
Neither team scored again until the fifth, when Johnson walked Pratt to open the frame. Turang then hit a towering fly ball that had just enough carry to clear the center-field fence.
Johnson continued to unravel, allowing Jackson Chourio to single before walking William Contreras to put another rally in motion. He managed just one more out—a sharp lineout off the bat of Christian Yelich—before being pulled in favor of Jose Fermín, whose second pitch to Bauers, a slider low and inside, hung just long enough. Bauers crushed it 424 feet into the seats to make it 6-0, a lead that proved to be more than enough with Drohan on the mound.
Drohan was perfect the first time through the order. In the fourth, he allowed back-to-back singles to Zach Neto and Nolan Schanuel before bouncing back to get Jorge Soler to ground into an inning-ending double play. He surrendered a two-run homer to Denzer Guzman in the fifth, bringing the Angels within four, but retired the side in order in the sixth to finish his night. After allowing five earned runs against Colorado in his previous outing, Drohan responded with one of his better starts of the season, earning his sixth win. He's now gone at least 5 2/3 innings in all six of his starts during the month of July.

The Indiana Fever picked up their fifth straight win on Friday night, taking down the Portland Fire, 112-98 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.
Caitlin Clark had the fourth triple double of her career, notching 26 points, 10 ***** ist, and 10 rebounds in 34 minutes. Kelsey Mitchell also had 26 points, while Monique Billings added on 15.
The Fever have moved up to fourth in the WNBA and will finish out their road trip on Sunday against the Minnesota Lynx. Here's what I liked and disliked about the game:
Caitlin Clark's clutch shot: There isn't anything that Clark can't do. The Fever star, with less than five seconds left in the first quarter, sprinted down the court and three up a 3-pointer through contact. It was a shot, frankly, that looked like a desperate attempt to beat the buzzer. But it swished into the basket to give the Fever a two-point lead at the end of the quarter. Clark thought she was fouled too, but there wasn't one called.
Second-quarter takeaways: After what seemed like a lackluster first quarter, the Fever turned up their game in the second. Indiana picked up five steals in those 10 minutes, including a Sophie Cunningham steal that turned into a dime from Clark to Kelsey Mitchell, then an Aliyah Boston steal that turned into a knockdown 3-pointer from Cunningham. That helped the Fever to go on a 14-2 run throughout the quarter and extend their lead into halftime.
