If you had the chance to ask your favorite celebrity any question, what would you ask? At Allrecipes, when we get that opportunity, it should come as no surprise that we're always wondering what's on their plates. We love to learn what actors, television hosts, and other professionally busy people eat on their days on, days off, and all other days in between.
Savannah Guthrie is no exception. The "Today" co-anchor, The New York Times best-selling author, and self-proclaimed "recovering attorney" is one busy woman. Her days start early—and we mean really early—and when she's not on duty at "Today", she's busy keeping up with her daughter, Vale (12), and son, Charley (9). So what's on her menu?
When we sat down with Guthrie for the Fall 2023 issue of Allrecipes magazine, she told us all about how she tends to mix it up at dinnertime. Living in New York City, she frequents Mediterranean, Thai, and Mexican restaurants in her neighborhood, but also still loves a good burger, fries, and milkshake ("I love a milkshake more than is reasonable for someone my age to love."). But when it comes to lunch, she keeps it simple.
"Embarrassingly, I eat [the same thing] for lunch every single day of the week." And she wasn't exaggerating—Guthrie even had it in her purse when we chatted. What's more—it's not a gourmet offering or one from a niche NYC deli. It's from a fast food chain we all frequent. So which sandwich secured the spot? None other than a breakfast offering from Starbucks.

Guernsey FC maintained their unbeaten start to their Southern Combination Premier Division season as they twice came from a goal down to draw 2-2 at Crawley Down Gatwick.
The hosts took a seventh-minute lead when Will Harley curled past Seb Sheppard after some neat passing following a counter-attack down the right.
James Laws went close to doubling the lead 25 minutes later before Will Fazakerley and Callum Le Lacheur had chances for the Green Lions as they went into the break a goal down.
But the visitors levelled six minutes after the break as Sam Murray nodded on Charlton Gauvain's cross from the right and Jamie Dodd was able to bundle the ball home at the far post.
The hosts were back in front just four minutes later as Archie Drillot's weak back-pass was picked up by Harley and substitute Callum Kilkenny finished well moments after coming on.

Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Charley Steiner, who has been in the business for 59 years, called Saturday night's broadcast of the Dodgers-Milwaukee Brewers game "the most meaningful game of my career."
It was the first time that Steiner called all nine innings of a game since Oct. 11, 2023 when the Diamondbacks were the last team to beat the Dodgers in a postseason.
Steiner, who has been battling cancer, began the season broadcasting just three innings in the first game of a home series this season, gradually building up to six innings, and now his first complete game.
"It means the world to me," Steiner told USA TODAY Sports.
Steiner was diagnosed with multiple myeloma blood cancer in January 2024 and was unable to work any games that season, but returned to the booth in 2025.

It may have taken decades, but Heather Locklear and Lorenzo Lamas have finally fallen into one another's arms. Sadly, love doesn't pay the bills, which is something Lamas, who rose to fame starring in nine seasons of "Falcon Crest" and five seasons of "Renegade," needed to learn the hard way. Lamas found himself in a financial pickle when the roles started to dry up, and with added divorce costs and Lamas' many ex-wives who came calling for their alimony, he was out $6,123 a month. On top of that was the cost of raising six children, and it didn't help that the actor had expensive habits. When he filed for bankruptcy in 2004, Lamas was over $600,000 in debt, with items like his Harley-Davidson, Hummer, and private plane hanging over his head.
Lamas filed for bankruptcy a second time in 2014. Where the actor had over $400,000 in ***** ets in '04, in the '14 listing, he was down to just $9,100, with only $430 in the bank. The good news was that his debt had been cut in half. The bad news was that even half the debt was still over $300,000. The "Bold and the Beautiful" star opened up on "Oprah: Where Are They Now" (via HuffPost), saying, "My greatest regret would be that I took my success for granted, because it was given to me at such a young age. I thought my acting career was going to just last forever ..." But the star wasn't going to sit around and wait to see what would happen. He took responsibility and found a way out of the hole he had dug.

Grant, a Californian, charged from the seventh starting position, passed Harley Burns for the race lead on Lap 18, then led the final 13 circuits to capture his third victory of USAC's nine-race 2026 Indiana Sprint Week series on Saturday night at Haubstadt, according to USAC.
Meanwhile, ******* mins, a Princeton native, finished the race third, but earned enough points to secure his first career USAC Indiana Sprint Week championship by a mere seven-point margin over Grant. ******* mins won last Thursday's Don Smith Classic at the Terre Haute Action Track, the seventh race in the ISW competition.

Amnerican Flat Track has appointed NASCAR Hall of Famer Rusty Wallace the Grand Marshal of the Caterpillar Jackpine Gypsies Short Track. The Flat Track round will be held August 10 at the South Dakota track, during the 86th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
Wallace made his name in NASCAR racing, winning the 1989 NASCAR Cup Series and earning 55 career Cup Series wins. But he also rides, and will be hosting a charity ride Aug. 15 in Deadwood, S.D., with the proceeds supporting the NASCAR Foundation and Special Olympics of South Dakota.

LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England – Charley Hull admits she never watches YouTube golf but nevertheless has decided to launch her own YouTube channel.
"Sweet Spot Golf" makes its debut this week with a tour 'round Royal Lytham and St. Annes, site of this week's AIG Women's British Open. Hull hosts the channel alongside good friend Ryan Evans, the guy she bet 10,000 pounds that she could quit smoking.
"Ryan is one of my very good friends, my best friends, and he's played golf with me since I was 10, 11 years old," she said during a pre-tournament press conference. "We was just playing loads of golf rounds last year, and like some of the rounds I was – I think one of the rounds I was 8 under through nine holes and then he birdied six of last seven holes to then be all square.
"I turned around to him I was like, oh, my gosh, like we have like played so well and like had so much banter in this round. Imagine someone recording this. It would be hilarious. He was like, yeah, and I was like, maybe we should start our own YouTube channel like joking around.
"I actually never watched YouTube golf, just to let you guys know. So then we've just thought, screw this, go ahead with it, and, yeah, launched it the other day."

That is because she is preparing to tee up in the AIG Women's Open - the first major of her career.
Still 18, Naughton only secured her spot at Royal Lytham & St Annes this week by virtue of winning the European Ladies Amateur Championship in Sweden on Sunday.
Now the young amateur heads to Lancashire to take her place alongside Charley Hull, Nelly Korda and the other star names of women's golf when the tournament begins on Thursday.
"I've always dreamed about it," Naughton told BBC Radio Newcastle. "I never really knew it would come this quick but I'm so happy and so proud to be able to play."

MANCHESTER – The Portsmouth Little League 10-12 all-star team will play for the District II championship on Saturday, July 25, after a 7-4 win over top-seeded North Manchester/Hooksett on Wednesday, July 22.
"The boys stayed composed and strung together good at-bats when we needed them most," Portsmouth manager Charley Raizes said. "Dreyton (Srimouksavanh) continued to battle on the mound when faced with some adversity and was able to help prevent a comeback. We're excited for the opportunity to compete for a district championship."
Portsmouth will face the winner of Thursday's game between North Manchester/Hooksett and Concord in the championship. The championship game will be played at Charles Dwinell Park in Tilton at 10 a.m.
After a scoreless first inning, Portsmouth broke through in the second when Sam Carter and Ryder Raizes each singled, and Joey Coakley added a third single to right field to score the game's first two runs.
Portsmouth erupted for five runs on four hits in the fourth inning. Srimouksavanh led off with a single, and two walks loaded the bases for Carter, who delivered an RBI infield single. Ryder Raizes followed with a two-run single to left field, and Bennett Smith added a two-run hit of his own to extend Portsmouth's lead to 7-0.

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France (AP) — Aki Iwai shot an 8-under 63 for a two-stroke lead on Thursday in the first round of the Evian Championship, the fourth women's golf major of the season, as top-ranked Nelly Korda struggled.
The 24th-ranked Iwai had eight birdies and no dropped shots in the sun-splashed lakeside town that three weeks ago hosted the G7 summit of world leaders.
Japan's Iwai made birdies at three of the last four holes, including the par-5 18th, and led by two shots from Perrine Delacour, whose 6-under 65 included an eagle at the par-5 15th and a pair of bogeys toward the end of her round.
A group of five players with 5-under 66s included the winner of the Women's PGA Championship two weeks ago, Haeran Ryu, and world No. 5 Charley Hull, who started the week as a guest in the Royal Box at Wimbledon.

The 8U 007's, a softball team based in Ascension Parish, won the Louisiana A Class State Championship, coaches announced.
The team defeated Velocity Softball of Pineville, 7-6, to capture the ***** le, per the announcement.
It was the third straight first-place finish and sixth of the season.
In the final inning of the game, Freya Gunness delivered the walk off hit to score Ainsley Matthews.

The 12U Alto Lady Jackets softball team earned the ***** le of state runner-ups in the Diamond Youth Softball State Championship. The tournament was conducted July 2 and 3 in Lear Park in Longview.
The Lady Jackets won their first state tournament game against Blanco 15-1. The win was followed by losses to Atlanta, 6-1 and 12-0, earning Alto the state runner-up spot.
Members of the team are Kamora Elam, Abbie Griffin, TeAsia Griffin, Macee Low, Kyndall Lucas, Cambrie Reagans, Amaya Reescano, Marlee Reid, Remi Reid, Emma Rowley and Journi Skinner.

For instance, did you know Charley Taylor was first an NFL running back before being moved to receiver? That's right, in 1964, they traded their quarterback, Norm Snead, for an Eagles quarterback named Sonny Jurgensen. The Redskins also drafted Taylor in the first round that year.
How good an athlete was Charley Taylor? Well, in his rookie 1964 season, he rushed for 755 yards and had 814 receiving yards out of the backfield. By the way, that was in a 14-game regular-season schedule. The Redskins then drafted tight end Jerry Smith in 1965. Following the 1965 season, Washington's head coach thought that moving Charley Taylor to receiver might really pay off, as it would create a starting group of receivers that included Taylor, Bobby Mitchell, and tight end Jerry Smith. Otto Graham, a former Cleveland Browns quarterback, believed that Jurgensen's development would boost their offense. Smith retired with a then record for NFL tight ends of 60 touchdown receptions, which wasn't broken until Shannon Sharpe.

Hull moved to the top of the leaderboard early in the final round at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles, but finished one shot behind Korda on seven under par – her fifth runner-up spot in major championships.
Mexico’s Gaby Lopez finished alongside Hull in second, with South Korea duo In Gee Chun and Sei Young Kim a shot further back.
“It’s just frustrating,” said Hull. “Another second place, I think that’s five second-place finishes I’ve had in majors now.
“It’s pretty annoying, but I played really well the last day. Obviously missed a couple putts on the back nine, but it was quite windy and I hit the ball fantastic, so fair play to Nelly Korda for back-to-back wins.

Nearly two years after Harley-Davidson said it was rolling back its diversity, equity and inclusion programs, activist Robby Starbuck has fired up his campaign again, accusing the iconic motorcycle company of breaking its promises to root out “wokeness.”
Starbuck, who led a consumer boycott in 2024 over a range of “woke” offenses, from hosting an LGBTQ+ boot camp to supporting gay and transgender equality legislation, called on ride-or-die Harley buyers to switch brands.
"Harley-Davidson said they were dropping all these crazy woke policies I exposed," he said in a video on social media platform X. "I regret to inform you that unfortunately today I am going to have to expose them again.”
Chief among his concerns is the leadership of Artie Starrs, Harley-Davidson’s newly minted CEO who took over in October.
"So after an extremely tumultuous period where your brand was torn down and now is seen as weird, woke and weak, you're gonna bring in a CEO that is gonna, like, project the masculine identity of the brand right? The pro-America identity of the brand. Well, maybe not so much," Starbucks said before calling out Starrs for sponsoring a pride group and an LGBTQ+ golf tournament that raised money for San Francisco Pride when he was running Topgolf and for launching antiracism training for educators while CEO of Pizza Hut.
