Glamorgan head coach Richard Dawson labelled his side's performance as "unacceptable" after they suffered a heavy defeat by Warwickshire in Cardiff.
The Welsh County were skittled for just 65 in their second innings in Cardiff as they were crushed by 257 runs and an innings in a dismal afternoon for the home side.
Despite Glamorgan's eye-catching start to life back in the Rothesay County Championship Division One, they have now lost three out of their last four games and could now face what previously seemed an inconceivable relegation.
"There's no hiding away from it. In front of our home fans, on our own pitch, that is unacceptable. I can't say any more than that really," said Dawson.
"The frustration is repeating mistakes, not just from the first innings but probably over the last few games as well. If you want to learn in any walk of life, you've got to be honest with yourself and look in the mirror."

Nottinghamshire have signed New Zealand A international fast bowler Fraser Sheat as an overseas player for the final five County Championship games of the season.
The 28-year-old from Canterbury, who played twice for Glamorgan in 2024, is in line to mark his return to English county cricket on Thursday as Notts play Warwickshire, one of their two main Division One ******* le rivals, in a meeting of third against first at Edgbaston.
"Fraser will add to our seam resources at a key point in the season," said Nottinghamshire head coach Peter Moores, who are without England paceman Josh Tongue on Thursday.
"Six games in six weeks is a heavy workload in the last part of this season and to have depth in our seam bowling will be key to staying competitive in every game. This feels like a great opportunity for Fraser."
Sheat, who was a runner-up in New Zealand's T20 Super Smash last winter, has not played any competitive cricket since April, when he was called up by the touring New Zealand A squad to play Sri Lanka A in Hambantota in April, taking one wicket and making a useful 61 not out.

Glamorgan coach David Harrison says individual players will benefit from their One Day Cup campaign despite winning only two of eight matches and finishing second from bottom in their group.
The club fielded four teenagers, including 17-year-olds Tom Edwards and Harry Wallace, and 19-year-olds Jack Hope-Bell and Romano Franco.
Three others aged 22 or under were among the 16 players used in the tournament.
"There have been so many positives in these past eight games even though we haven't got the wins we would have liked, there's so many things we've done really well," Harrison told BBC Sport Wales.
"For players getting exposure at first-team level at such a young age, like I did, like [director of cricket] Mark Wallace did, it'll accelerate their development."

All but two of the nine teams in Group A remain in contention to reach the knockout stages of the One-Day Cup following a day of unlikely results including defeats for the top three in the section.
Pacesetters Leicestershire missed the chance to advance in their final game of the initial phase, with their fate now out of their hands after losing at Kent, who were helped by a sensational display from Daniel Bell-Drummond. They now join Nottinghamshire, Lancashire and Surrey in the chasing pack on 16 points each.
Middlesex won at eliminated Derbyshire to remain top of Group B and ensure they will advance, with Durham also in a strong position immediately behind second-placed Yorkshire following their home win against Essex, who now cannot progress.
Elsewhere in Group B, Glamorgan damaged Worcestershire's hopes of a knockout-stage place with the final ball of the game at Cardiff, while in Group A second-placed Nottinghamshire narrowly lost at Gloucestershire and third-placed Lancashire lost at second-bottom Warwickshire.

In the countryside west of the Welsh capital, farmers have a WhatsApp group to warn of suspicious vehicles and some have barricaded the entrances to their fields with concrete blocks and fallen trees.
"They're watching us - which is probably the most disconcerting part about it," said Chris Edwards.
"We harvest the field and within hours, they're there."
He's seen gates "smashed off their hinges" and crops destroyed by trespassers illegally hunting hares with dogs. Neighbours have faced threats, "verbal and physical", when they've tried to intervene.
South Wales Police confirmed the Vale of Glamorgan was seeing an increase in hare coursing, and said the force was taking action.

Seam bowlers Tom Norton and Ned Leonard are missing from Glamorgan's Metro Bank One Day Cup opener against Sussex at the Gnoll, Neath, on Wednesday, 22 July.
Norton suffered an unspecified injury in England Under-19s training while Leonard has not played for six weeks because of a shoulder problem.
It is a setback for Norton's progress after claiming a hat-trick and a five-wicket haul in his first month in the Championship team.
The absences mean a first call-up for Connor O'Riordan, an Australian fast bowler who has had extensive trials for the second team.
England Under-19s wicket-keeper/batter Harry Wallace is included for the first time in a senior squad, while young batters Callum Nicholls and Jack Hope-Bell could make competitive debuts.

When Ben Kellaway struck the ball straight to Worcestershire substitute fielder Jake Libby in the 12th over in Cardiff on Sunday, the Glamorgan all-rounder quickly realised he was in trouble.
Libby made no mistake with a run out which ended Kellaway's innings on 43 and turned the momentum of the T20 Blast game firmly in Worcestershire's favour.
The Rapids went on to secure a 15-run victory at Sophia Gardens.
The result saw Worcestershire leapfrog Glamorgan into third place in the competition's Central and West Group.
The Welsh county now have little margin for error in their three remaining fixtures, with Kellaway left ruing a dismissal which was one of the defining moments of the match.

A teenager who killed a woman by driving into her has been jailed for life with a minimum of 17 years after being found guilty of murder.
Kian Bateman, 19, deliberately drove into Shelley Davies, 38, and her partner David Bratcher, 40, outside the 4th Glamorgan Homeguard Club in Caerau, Cardiff, at 00:30 BST on 27 September last year.

Newport County are finalising plans to host Italian giants Roma in a glamorous pre-season friendly at Rodney Parade.
The Exiles hope to face the Serie A side on Tuesday, 4 August in a high-profile warm-up for their 2026-27 League Two campaign that starts later in the month.

England stars Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson have been pulled out of their ongoing County Championship matches after a request from the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), a move that has fuelled speculation that both players could return for the third Test against New Zealand at Trent Bridge next week.
Neither Stokes nor Atkinson played in the second Test after they breached the team curfew while celebrating England's victory in the series opener at Lord's.
With stand-in captain Joe Root leading an inexperienced side, England struggled against New Zealand at The Oval and faced a difficult final day.
Before being withdrawn, both players had impressed for their counties.
Stokes turned out for Durham against Northamptonshire and bowled 25 overs on Friday before smashing 95 runs in an entertaining knock on Saturday. National selector Marcus North was among those watching his performance.
Atkinson also made his presence felt for Surrey against Glamorgan, claiming four wickets for 61 runs.
Following the ECB's request, Stokes was replaced by Colin Ackermann in Durham's playing XI, while Tom Lawes came in for Atkinson at Surrey.
Although England head coach Brendon McCullum had earlier voiced concerns over Stokes's mindset, Durham coach Ryan Campbell offered a different view.
"All I have seen is the same old Ben Stokes who loves being the Durham dressing room, who loves being around a cricket ground and who hasn’t missed a beat," he added.
According to reports in the English media, the ECB is still investigating the pair's breach of curfew, and no decision has been announced yet.
Likewise, England's squad for the third Test has not been confirmed. Any update on the matter is expected only after the conclusion of the second Test at The Oval.
Meanwhile, England suffered a crushing 253-run defeat to New Zealand at The Oval, squandering the momentum from their Lord's victory as the series was levelled 1-1 ahead of the decisive third Test in Nottingham.

Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson have been withdrawn from their County Championship fixtures in the clearest indication yet they will be available to play for England in the third Test against New Zealand.
Captain Stokes and pace bowler Atkinson were made unavailable for the second Test, which started on Wednesday, pending an investigation into an incident in a London nightclub.
But both were permitted to play domestic cricket, with Stokes turning out for Durham and Atkinson for Surrey in the first two days of matches that began on Friday.
They have been withdrawn before day three, meaning Stokes will play no further part in Durham's match at home to Northamptonshire and Atkinson has left Surrey's game at Glamorgan.
It emerged on Thursday that Stokes is likely to return to captain England for the third Test at Trent Bridge, alongside 28-year-Atkinson.

England Test captain Ben Stokes is set to return to competitive action after being included in Durham's 15-man squad for their upcoming County Championship clash against Northamptonshire at Chester-le-Street, which begins on Friday.
The all-rounder has not featured since being left out of England's ongoing second Test against New Zealand at The Oval. Stokes and fast bowler Gus Atkinson were both omitted from the match while investigations continued into a nightclub incident in London following England's victory in the opening Test at Lord's.
Despite the ongoing inquiries, both players have now been cleared to participate in domestic cricket. Stokes is expected to represent Durham in the Championship fixture, while Atkinson is likely to return for Surrey in their match against Glamorgan in Cardiff.
The controversy stemmed from events after England's 115-run win over New Zealand in the first Test. Stokes and Atkinson were found to have breached the team's midnight curfew while celebrating the victory and were present at a nightclub when a member of England's security staff was allegedly struck by a player from Saracens Rugby Club.
Investigations into the incident are continuing, with both the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and the independent Cricket Regulator conducting separate reviews.
In the days following the controversy, speculation emerged regarding Stokes' long-term future in international cricket, with some reports even linking the England skipper to a potential retirement. However, those concerns eased considerably after the 35-year-old resumed training with Durham.
His appearance against Northamptonshire will mark only his third county outing of the season and could provide a timely boost ahead of England's next international ******* ignment.

Jonny Bairstow inspired Yorkshire to a record Roses win over Lancashire Lightning, while Hampshire Hawks made it five wins from six on a busy Friday in the T20 Blast.
