Nottingham Forest boss Oliver Glasner, speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I'm really proud of the team's performance and the spirit they showed. We did better after 10 or 15 minutes but we were a little bit impatient in the final third.
"We were too impatient and eager. It was a little bit up and down. In the second half we moved the ball quicker and switched from left to right and we saw the confidence grow.

Nottingham Forest manager Oliver Glasner claimed the video **** istant referee (VAR) was "guessing" and should not have intervened in ruling out Neco Williams' goal in their 0-0 draw with Tottenham.
Williams' second-half effort was chalked off with the full-back adjudged to have bundled the ball in with his arm after some calamitous Tottenham defending at the City Ground.
The Forest defender denied it came off his arm and insisted it should have stood.

Forest fans were dreaming of a third consecutive league win at Anfield when Morgan Gibbs-White gave them the lead from the spot, but Liverpool rallied again and Victor Munoz's late strike ensured the points were shared.
"We should have won [the match] with the chances we created, especially in the first half," said Hodge on BBC Radio Nottingham. "We were against a really lacklustre Liverpool team, who at times looked weak at the back and unsure of themselves.

On the day Liverpool agreed to pay up to £123m for Bradley Barcola, the man signed for rather less, and with rather less fanfare, again spared Andoni Iraola a first defeat of his reign. On Sunday at Newcastle, Victor Munoz won the penalty that produced Dominik Szoboszlai's 99th-minute equaliser. On his Anfield bow, the £34m Spaniard delivered a devastating equaliser.
That both contributions came from the right flank, though he had started on the left against Nottingham Forest, may be pertinent. The presumption is that Barcola will be used on the left. While Liverpool are yet to replace Mohamed Salah, they got two equalisers from the men stationed in his old spot here, with Cody Gakpo affording Alexander Isak a tap-in. The Dutchman is scarcely a right winger and faces an uncertain future at the end of the window. If Munoz had a fine introduction, this could prove Gakpo's goodbye, and his was a valiant effort.
An encouraging element for Liverpool is that Iraola has exerted an impact with his changes in each of his first two games. Pape Matar Sarr hasn't been seen in a Tottenham shirt since preseason and there are plenty of rumors that both he and the club are looking for an exit from N17. According to Sky Sports France's Sascha Tavolieri, the club making a late push for Sarr is none other than our good friends Nottingham Forest.
Previous rumors suggested that Sarr had preferred a move to Monaco, which as a French speaking Senegalese dude makes a ton of sense and would be a good move for him. Tavolieri writes that the Monaco interest is real, but unlikely to happen before the last week of the season and is contingent on Monaco offloading American striker Folarin Balogun first. But staying in the Premier League would have its advantages as well.
The whole kerfluffle over Morgan Gibbs-White last summer seemingly hasn't dimmed Tottenham's relationship with Forest THAT much if they're still considering a a deal. A loan plus an option isn't the best outcome for Tottenham, but it beats keeping Sarr around if he's not going to play that much, which feels like the case. Honestly, Forest wouldn't be a terrible club for Sarr to land at — he's likely going to get more playing time there and Oliver Glasner is a pretty good coach with good midfield ideas. No guarantee that Forest's mobster-boss owner Evangelos Marinakis wouldn't sack Glasner in a fit of rage after three consecutive losses, either.

There were other indications of decline – a Champions League table with the reigning Scudetto winners Napoli in 30th or Italy's sole representatives in the last 16, Atalanta, going down 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern Munich – and they combined to paint a bleak picture.
So if Serie A returns with the sense its best days are behind it, some of its historic forces have the same feel. And yet that provided some of the drama last season: two of Italy's three most decorated clubs, AC Milan and Juventus, spurned promising positions to miss out on Champions League qualification. They will instead be the biggest clubs in the Europa League after being leapfrogged by Cesc Fabregas' insurgents from Como. The third of Italy's traditional powers, Inter, cruised to their 21st Scudetto in Cristian Chivu's first campaign in charge; equalling his predecessor Simone Inzaghi's total of Serie A **** les was at least compensation for faring far worse in Europe.
His rivals this year are set to be a mixture of the familiar, with Serie A's capacity to recycle its managers, and an intriguing newcomer. Oliver Glasner is a very interesting guy. He comes across really well, speaks really well. As a journalist, I always found that he engaged with questions brilliantly and was full of insight.
He's a really interesting football person and the impact he has had at Palace in recent years really cannot be put into words - a breath-taking journey. This latest development makes him an even more fascinating figure I think.
When we read this news he was joining Forest, I was pretty flabbergasted to be honest with you. When he left , there was this real sense he had done what he needed to do at a club of that size in the Premier League and he was casting his eye further afield. There was talk of AC Milan and Liverpool. For him to appear at of all clubs, Nottingham Forest, it made my jaw hit the floor I have to say.
If you look at the players he had to sell at Palace, they are some of the outstanding figures at the World Cup. To have a club that would give him the resources to keep his best players and buy new ones, I would imagine it will be quite appealing to him.
I would imagine given this latest chapter in the Forest-Palace tale, the kind of rancour we have seen in games between these clubs in recent years is only going to continue in the new season.

Fabrizio Romano drops the big announcement that could see Klopp return to the dugout, this time to take charge of the German national team.
Following Nagelsmann’s departure from Germany, all signs pointed to one name: Jürgen Klopp. Even though it seemed unlikely that he could return to the dugout, Fabrizio Romano has dropped the bombshell.
