Several flights across Europe have faced bomb threats, officials have said.
An Aer Lingus Airbus A320 plane which departed Dublin on Thursday morning issued an emergency alert, diverted and landed at Evreux air base in northern France.
Meanwhile, Finnish airline Finnair said there was a bomb threat against one of its planes travelling from Helsinki to the Italian capital on Thursday. It was escorted by air force jets and landed as scheduled.
It comes just days after eight European flights, including two departing from the UK, were targeted by suspected bomb threats. No explosives were found on any of the planes after searches.
A statement from Aer Lingus confirmed that flight EI402 from Dublin to Rome "diverted to Normandy this morning as a security precaution."

New Zealand vs India 4th T20I prediction, lineups and Eden Park pitch report — who will win? originally appeared on Cricket News. Add Cricket News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
India have already won the series, and New Zealand are running out of bowlers. The fourth T20I at Eden Park on Friday (12.30pm IST) will offer the hosts little comfort.
India chased 199 in 13.2 overs in Wellington, scoring 118 in the first six, the highest powerplay total in men's T20I history. Now they move to a ground where the boundaries are very short.
India have scored at 10.45 an over across 38 T20Is this year, the best of any Full Member. New Zealand have managed 9.37 across 23 innings. Finn Allen apart, their batters do not hit with the same power, and their bowling attack has been stripped back further. Lockie Ferguson is out for the rest of the series, joining Matt Henry and Zak Foulkes on the injury list. Blair Tickner may play.
India have won 22 of their 34 T20Is against New Zealand, losing 11 with one tie, and they have taken eight of the last nine meetings. Their only real choice is how much to rest, with the ODI and Test series still to come. Kuldeep Yadav, Varun Chakravarthy and Shivam Dube have yet to play on this tour, and Mayank Yadav could return. Even so, the top order of Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer would be hard for any attack to contain.

Kylie Kelce revealed why she wouldn't put her daughters' faces on social media. Recently, the mom of four appeared on a podcast and discussed her kids' involvement in her online posts. Kelce revealed she didn't struggle with it when she had her first daughter, but things changed eventually. As the family grew famous, the doting mother decided not to show her children's faces online.
Kylie Kelce and Jason Kelce protect their daughters' privacy on social media. During the podcaster's appearance on Tay Lautner's podcast, "The Squeeze," Kelce opened up about online privacy for kids. She and the retired NFL player share four daughters, Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley. They rarely feature in the couple's photos on Instagram.
Speaking of the same, the 34-year-old mom told Lautner that things changed when their family grew popular. "I post infrequently overall, and I post even less frequently about our children," she said.
"I didn't want to exclude them entirely, [but] I made it a point to stop putting their faces on my social media." Furthermore, she explained that Jason's retirement documentary became the "turning point" in their lives. It required the children to be on camera, which made her realize that people couldn't set boundaries for themselves. Hence, Kelce drew it for them.
"I feel really strongly about going forward just for their safety to not include them in anything," she said. According to her, their children's "safety" will always be their top priority. Kelce also admitted that she tries to be careful about what photos she posts online related to her kids. She worries about how they would react in the future when they search for it online.

Actor John Boyega, best known as Finn in the "Star Wars" sequel trilogy, is opening up about his personal life. In a recent interview, he was asked about the ring on his left hand. The "Attack the Block" actor then revealed the shocking news. Not only did he quietly get married two years ago, but he is also getting ready to welcome a child.

Although he is now a household name for his roles in "Pacific Rim: Uprising" and "The Woman King," Boyega suffered a tragic loss when he was only eight years old. At the time, his friend Damilola Taylor, 10, was stabbed and killed. In the opening scene of a new BBC Two documentary about the killing, Boyega said, "Speaking about it could possibly help. I haven't revisited this in a long time. Yeah, my heart is just beating."
In November 2000, Damilola was stabbed in the leg and left to die in a stairwell. He was attacked as he walked home from an after-school club at Peckham library in South London. The case shocked the nation, not only because the victim was so young, but because the suspects were also children. Boyega was one of the last people to see Damilola alive. Now, he is ready to talk about that day and how his tragic childhood experience will shape him as a father.

On September 9, 2026, Reuters reported that Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL)'s Google will invest at least €13 billion, or about $15.1 billion, in AI infrastructure in Finland over the next two years, its biggest European investment, including three new data centers and a 22-year deal for up to 50% of the output of one of Finland's two nuclear power plants. The agreement with Finnish utility Fortum is Google's first nuclear energy deal outside the United States, and Fortum's stock jumped as much as 15.5% on the news, its biggest gain in Europe that day.
Finland gives Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL) a potentially more cost-efficient location for its expanding AI infrastructure. Google plans to invest at least €13 billion ($15.1 billion) in three new data centers and related infrastructure in Finland during 2027 and 2028. The country's cold climate can reduce the need for energy-intensive cooling. The investment will also help grid improvements, clean-energy projects and battery storage.
The 22-year nuclear power agreement gives Google greater control over a critical input for AI infrastructure. Google will purchase up to 50% of the electricity generated by Finland's Loviisa nuclear plant, providing a long-term source of low-carbon power for its data-center operations. The agreement also gives Fortum greater economic certainty to extend and upgrade the plant through 2050. Google and Fortum plan to explore more nuclear and renewable projects.
Alphabet has strong demand drivers that can justify investment in AI capacity. The firm has increased its 2026 global capital investment target to $195 billion-$205 billion as it seeks to capture growing AI computing demand. Google is using the additional infrastructure to support Gemini, Search, Maps, and YouTube. It gives Alphabet multiple major products through which it can monetize greater AI capacity over time.
The Finland project adds another major commitment to Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOGL)'s already enormous AI spending program. Alphabet expects to spend $195 billion-$205 billion on capital investment globally in 2026. The Finnish project will require at least another €13 billion during 2027 and 2028. Investors need Alphabet to make enough incremental revenue and cash flow from AI services to justify an infrastructure buildout that is rapidly increasing the company's capital requirements.

With aviation often a prohibitively costly industry for individual players without major backing, several smaller and charter carriers did not survive the spike in jet fuel prices that came at the start of 2026 following the U.S.-Israeli strike on Iran.
Major recent news in this ***** e includes the collapse of Spirit Airlines and the bankruptcy filing of Latvian flag carrier AirBaltic. Smaller carriers that shut down in 2026 include Mexican holiday airline Magnicharters, Finnish charter airline Jetflite, and most recently in September 2026, French charter carrier AirAiles.
And in Colorado, charter broker and indirect air carrier OneFlight International is reportedly pausing all flights for 30 days as a long string of financial problems catches up with it.
The company does not own any aircraft but functions as a broker, organizing chartered flights by private jet and jet card subscriptions.
A jet card is a membership in which customers book flight hours on a private plane at fixed rates. Along with fractional ownership, it is one of two main ways that passengers who fly private book their flights.

The fate of Ed Sheeran's Loop Tour is suddenly uncertain after all of the British singer's remaining opening acts quit in solidarity with the rapper Macklemore, who was dropped from the remaining North American dates over pro-Palestinian comments.
Hours after Sheeran released a statement saying it was the promoter's decision to remove Macklemore from the tour and not his, the rest of his supporting acts — Irish singer Aaron Rowe, Danish pop band Lukas Graham and songwriter Finneas — as well as Sheeran's house band, Beoga, announced that they were pulling out in protest.
"Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed," Finneas, the brother of Billie Eilish, wrote in a note posted to Instagram. "I have decided to withdraw from my upcoming tour dates with Ed Sheeran. I stand with Palestine and its people."
The Irish artists cited their country's history of oppression in their decisions to drop out.
"I don't take the decision lightly. Ed has been a friend to me and has changed my life, I could never thank him enough for this," Rowe wrote in his own Instagram post. "But as Irish people we know all too well about genocide, forced famine and violent occupation. I cannot stand by and allow billionaires to use their position of power to silence the rightful voices of those who speak up against Israeli genocide and who highlight the savage murder of children."

Southampton head coach Tonda Eckert says his players "deserve all the credit" after they beat Bristol City 4-1 on Saturday.
Two goals from Cyle Larin, and strikes from Kuryu Matsuki and Finn Azaz capped off an excellent performance, and extended their unbeaten run in the league to six matches.
"If you see the block of games that we come from it's not easy, especially if you then face a team who had a whole week to prepare," he told BBC Radio Solent.
"The midweek game against Swansea we knew that we have to run more and we did run more and more intense than we have all season.
"Obviously that takes takes a toll, that's just the reality so early on in the season and then it was just different energy levels on the pitch today."

Bayer Leverkusen took a deserved lead into the latter stages of the first half against Bundesliga leaders Augsburg, with Christian Kofane rewarding an increasingly threatening display from the visitors.

Ibrahim Maza was next to threaten, driving into the penalty area before seeing a left-footed effort blocked, while Finn Dahmen was called upon to deny a further Leverkusen opening after Medina picked out a run in behind.

Billie Eilish had a special role in her brother Finneas O'Connell's wedding to Claudia Sulewski. The newlyweds both wanted Eilish to stand beside them during the wedding ceremony. Instead, they found another important way to include her in their big day. Eilish officiated the couple's wedding ceremony in Montecito, California.
Sulewski shared details about the wedding in a YouTube video released Wednesday, Sept. 9. The first person they called when they began planning was Finneas' sister Billie, she said. Finneas wanted Eilish as his best man, while Sulewski wanted her as her maid of honor. "So we thought, 'Okay, sounds like she needs to marry us,' " Sulewski said.
Sulewski became emotional while talking about Eilish's role in the ceremony. "And truly, officiating our wedding was, like, the greatest gift she could ever give us," she said. Sulewski, 30, married O'Connell, 29, during an outdoor ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 29. The couple chose not to have bridesmaids or groomsmen because they wanted to "keep the experience intimate," according to Vogue.
Several well-known guests came to Montecito for the celebration. Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, Jason Sudeikis, Nina Dobrev, Emma Chamberlain, Rachel Sennott, and Stassie Karanikolaou attended. Eilish's boyfriend, Nat Wolff, was also invited. CLEVELAND (AP) — Daniel Schneemann singled home rookie Angel Genao from third base in the 10th inning to send Cleveland to a 3-2 win over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday, the Guardians' third walk-off victory in the four-game series.
With a runner at second, Patrick Bailey opened the 10th with a single off Kyle Finnegan (3-1). Schneemann then ripped a 1-0 pitch into right, triggering another celebration by the Guardians, who are chasing Chicago in the AL Central.
The Guardians didn't lead at any point in the series until their final swing. Cleveland swept a doubleheader on Friday before being shut out Saturday.
Cade Smith (5-1) pitched two perfect innings, striking out the side in the 10th with an automatic runner at second.

Former U.S. Olympian David Hearn and his attorneys returned to court to urge the judge who previously oversaw his Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool vandalism case to formally bar federal prosecutors from seeking new charges against him.
In late July, the D.C. U.S. Attorney's Office moved to dismiss the criminal case against Hearn in a filing that acknowledged damage to the Reflecting Pool "was the result of flawed installation" and not the work of vandals -- prompting outrage from President Donald Trump.
Finn Gomez/Getty Images - PHOTO: Former Olympian David Hearn stands with his attorney Norman Eisen as he speaks to reporters and protestors gathered after his arraignment at Moultrie Courthouse, July 9, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
But the motion from U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro asked the judge overseeing Hearn's case, Todd Edelman, to dismiss the indictment "without prejudice," which would leave the door open for prosecutors to potentially seek to re-charge Hearn.
Hearn's attorneys have argued a series of statements from Trump and other officials in the weeks after Pirro's motion that falsely accused him and others of vandalizing the pool warrants dismissal of the case "with prejudice" -- effectively shutting the door for prosecutors to charge him again.

TRUMBULL - Finn Kilmartin and Will Zaccagnino were in the eighth grade when they found out they'd both be heading to St. Joseph for their high school years.
Since that time, they've become massive parts of the Hogs' football team, Kilmartin as a linebacker and sometimes running back, and Zaccagnino as a disruptive lineman wreaking havoc on both sides of the ball.
When Kilmartin sees the 6-foot-5, 275-pound Zaccagnino make a big play, he's not just celebrating with a friend or a teammate.
He's celebrating with his godfather.
Kilmartin converted to Catholicism with guidance from Father Ferry Galbert, the school's former chaplain, during his sophomore year and received the Sacraments all at once, with baptism, confirmation and communion at the Easter Vigil in 2025.

BECKER, MN — Entering the fourth quarter with a slim lead on Sept. 3, Becker took a commanding nine-point advantage with 7:48 left on the clock. In an outing that had been far from perfect, the Bulldogs could taste victory up two scores in the waning minutes of the game.
Then Orono senior quarterback Finn Dyvik found senior receiver Owen Paulson along the sideline for a 68-yard pitch-and-catch to score the first of 23 fourth quarter points for the Spartans to suck the out of Dwight Lundeen Stadium and escape with a win.
While it may not have been the storybook beginning to Becker's head coach Dwight Lundeen farewell tour after 57 seasons, the two most recent 4A champions did not disappoint as Orono bested Becker 35-28 thanks to its big fourth quarter effort.
Becker got the scoring started in the first half with a 14-0 lead heading into the locker room behind two first-half interceptions and a 40-yard touchdown reception from senior RJ Houle.
The reigning champs stayed calm, though. Coming out in the second half and scoring two unanswered touchdowns in the third quarter, including a second interception by Becker's senior quarterback Tristan Kowalkowski.

Europe's benchmark just swapped an old auto giant for an AI infrastructure comeback story. Nokia is back in the Euro Stoxx 50. Volkswagen is out. That says a lot about where investors think Europe's future growth is hiding.
Nokia will rejoin the Euro Stoxx 50 before the market opens on September 21, ending a one-year exile from the euro area's blue-chip stock benchmark.
The Finnish mobile network-equipment maker will enter alongside French utility Engie. Volkswagen and Dutch information-services group Wolters Kluwer will drop out.
The reshuffle is more than a quarterly paperwork exercise. Nokia shares have more than doubled over the past year as investors bought into the company's push into artificial intelligence and cloud infrastructure. The group has been shifting more attention toward fiber-optic equipment and network systems used by companies building AI data centers.

The severe disruption of oil and gas flows out of the Persian Gulf resulting from the war between the U.S. and Israel and Iran, has saddled energy-importing nations with soaring bills, supply uncertainty, and a murky outlook. However, there has been a silver lining: a rush to build alternative conduits for bringing oil and gas out of the Middle East.
The global total energy import bill swelled by $330 billion over the six months between March and August, Finnish climate outlet Centre for Energy Research and Clean Air reported earlier this month. This would not have been the case had the Strait of Hormuz remained open, the outlet noted in its report, highlighting the world's reliance on an energy export corridor vulnerable to adverse geopolitical events and their fallout.
Because of the closure of Hormuz, Persian Gulf oil producers had to idle wells and find ways to slip their stored oil out of the Gulf on tankers with their transponders switched off. Yet they also started working on alternative routes that bypassed the Strait of Hormuz altogether.
Saudi Arabia demonstrated foresight with its East-West pipeline that it used to reroute its export flows from the Persian Gulf to the Red Sea in the first weeks of the war, ramping up to some 7 million barrels of crude daily along the pipe that had previously handled much lower volumes. The only major constraint in that rerouting was the capacity of the loading facilities at Yanbu Port.
Later, of course, Saudi Arabia had to discover that the Red Sea is not safe because of the presence of the Yemeni Houthis in the Bab el-Mandeb strait and their affiliation with Iran. So, the Saudis had to reroute again, this time to the Suez Canal, which has an even more constrained tanker passage capacity. In other words, alternative routes are not perfect, but it is a good thing to have them.

Billie Eilish stood between her brother Finneas and Claudia Sulewski as they exchanged vows Saturday, taking on a considerably bigger wedding ****** ignment than simply showing up for the family photos.
Eilish officiated the Aug. 29 outdoor ceremony at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California, where Finneas and Sulewski married after nearly eight years together. Photos published by Page Six show the 24-year-old singer standing between the bride and groom as Finneas read his vows.
The couple's rescue dogs, Peaches and Moose, had jobs of their own. They joined the celebration as "flower dogs," wearing custom bows made from the same silk faille used for Sulewski's wedding gown. Finneas and Eilish's parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O'Connell, were also there to watch their son get married.
The guest list included Justin and Hailey Bieber, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, Emma Chamberlain, Rachel Sennott, Rebecca Black and Jason Sudeikis. Sulewski turned the weekend into a fashion project of its own with four custom Oscar de la Renta looks, while Finneas wore a black suit and Eilish chose an off-the-shoulder green dress for her role at the altar.
TMZ footage and photographs show her facing Finneas and Sulewski during the ceremony and confirm that Peaches and Moose were part of the celebration. The dogs' participation had been planned down to their outfits. During Sulewski's final fitting, Oscar de la Renta designer Grace McCoy revealed two silk faille bows cut from the same material as the ceremony gown. Sulewski explained that Moose would walk ahead of Peaches when the pair went down the aisle as flower dogs.

Claudia Sulewski didn't settle for one spectacular wedding dress when she married Finneas O'Connell. She had an entire bridal wardrobe.

And while the couple's nuptials attracted an impressively star-studded guest list, including Hailey and Justin Bieber, Nina Dobrev, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard and Emma Chamberlain, Claudia's four custom Oscar de la Renta creations provided plenty of fashion drama of their own.
