The Duke of Sussex's searingly honest memoir, Spare, became the fastest-selling non-fiction book ever when his tell-all tale about the royal family was published in 2023.
His explosive autobiography gave royal watchers a very intimate insight into all his personal goings-on, including introducing his future wife Meghan Markle to the royal family.
Although Meghan's first meeting with the late monarch was "pleasant", Prince Harry confessed his frustration at some of the circumstances.
"There was some bloke standing to the other side of Granny and I thought: Bogey at twelve o'clock," he wrote, referring to a friend of Sarah Ferguson. "Meg looked to me for a clue as to his identity, but I couldn't help – I'd never seen him before.
"[Princess Eugenie] whispered into my ear that he was a friend of her mum's. Ah, OK. I looked at him hard, 'Brilliant. Congratulations on being present for one of the most consequential moments of my life.'"

High school football is in full swing across the country. The Gophers' 29 commits in the class of 2027 were busy, and here are the most notable performances from the Week of Sep. 7-12. Last week's top performers.
The star-studded Spuds had another impressive 42-26 win over Woodbury in their second game of the season. Quarterback Jett Feeney went 15 of 20 for 206 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. Wide receiver David Mack had five receptions for 76 yards and DB/WR Zak Walker had an 88-yard kick return. Running back Taye Reich had the best game of the four with 12 carries for 177 rushing yards and 3 total touchdowns.
Picture via: tayereich (X)
Las Vegas, Nevada native Jayden Thomas continues to have a red-hot start to his senior season. He had three receptions for 87 yards this week, and his season-long total is now up to 28 catches for 591 yards and 6 touchdowns through five games.
Maryland native Carlos Ferguson probably had the best performance from the wide receivers this week with 7 receptions for 92 yards and 2 TDs. He now has 18 catches for 257 yards and 3 touchdowns through three games. Texas native Kevin Ferrygood also had a 20-yard touchdown. First-year wide receivers coach Isaac Fruechte's class looks promising.

The Los Angeles Rams time in Melbourne, Australia was short-lived and that might be for the best as LA suffered a 27-7 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday Night (Friday morning for others). Some might question the Rams decision to fly in the day before the game, although that did not seem to be a significant influence on the outcome in my opinion. Why did the Rams lose? Well here are 4 takeaways from Los Angeles's week one loss to their division rivals.
After picking off a Brock Purdy pass, Stafford turned the ball back over to the San Francisco 49ers on 3rd & 10 from the SF 35. Instead of taking his underneath option (Terrance Ferguson), Stafford tried to force a pass on a deep corner to Puka Nacua. The ball was underthrown; giving SF momentum and taking 3 points off the board for LA. Had the Rams kicked the field goal on 4th down, they would have had a 10-3 lead.
The other self-inflicted mistake was the turnover on downs with 3:46 left in the 3rd quarter. The Rams could not punch the ball in the endzone from 2nd, 3rd, and 4th & Goal (all within the 3 yard line). The latter being 4th & 1/2 yard. Those are simply must-have situations when down 10.
The Rams allowed 30 rushing attempts for 174 yards (5.8 yards per carry). The Rams won't beat a Kyle Shanahan offense with that type of formula. No, it wasn't because Aaron Donald was inactive. The Rams simply did not win the trenches getting pushed off the ball. Chris Shula will need to take a deep look at how to counter the 49ers usage of chips on his edge players as Myles Garrett was a non-factor in rushing the passer but also in defending the run.
The Rams offense was one of the best in 2025 because they were constantly in favorable down & distances. In this game against the 49ers, their 3rd down distances were: 5 yards, 2 yards, 6 yards, 10 yards, 13 yards, 1 yard, 2 yards, 15 yards, and 10 yards. The only true conversion was on 3rd & 2 via a Kyren Williams run. The other conversion was via defensive pass interference call late in the game.

Red Sox Prospect's Season In Jeopardy After Unfortunate Injury originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Kristian Campbell's bid to return to the Boston Red Sox took an unfortunate turn with little time remaining in the minor league season. The Worcester Red Sox placed Campbell on the seven-day injured list Thursday because of a left foot contusion, according to MassLive's Chris Cotillo. Infielder Max Ferguson was promoted from Double-A Portland to fill the open roster spot.
Campbell reportedly had been dealing with a sore toe before leaving Tuesday's game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the sixth inning. The timing makes the injury particularly frustrating. Worcester has only 10 games remaining before its season concludes Sept. 20, leaving Campbell with a limited window to return.
It also could eliminate whatever chance remained of Campbell joining Boston for its postseason push.
The 24-year-old has spent the entire 2026 campaign in Triple-A after struggling during his first major league opportunity. He batted .223 with a .664 OPS, six home runs and 21 RBIs across 67 games for the Red Sox in 2025. Campbell, once ranked as MLB Pipeline's No. 7 overall prospect, produced an encouraging opening month and earned American League Rookie of the Month honors after batting .301 with four home runs. His production dropped considerably afterward, however, and Boston optioned him to Worcester in June 2025.

Chanel shoppers are known to be a discerning bunch, but artist Tom Sachs has created an unauthorized replica of the luxury house's sought-after Paris boutique in lower Manhattan.
Located in Sachs' studio at 245 Centre Street, the phony Chanel store has a sign with 31 Rue Cambon on its front door, and a black Chanel-esque ensemble in one street-front window and a red one in the other. During a pass-by Monday night, the studio's security grates were down and a sign on the front door read, "NOTICE BY ENTERING YOU ARE TO BE RECORDED."
Media requests to Sachs were unreturned.
Although Sachs' outpost has a sign with what looks like a handwritten version of Chanel's proprietary interlocked "CC" monogram, the designer label has not been involved in the project in any way. A Chanel spokesperson said Thursday, "Chanel is not involved in this project, and we did not participate in its conception or development. This is not part of the cultural [programs] that Chanel supports around the world and has no affiliation with Chanel."
Scheduled to open Friday and to run through Oct. 10, Sachs' store will have highly limited access — with hours set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The artist's body of work includes jabs at consumerism, materialism, logomania and high-low dressing. His Centre Street studio's new faux Chanel outpost is prismatic in a few ways, including the fact that his ****** e is a short walk to Canal Street where counterfeit goods are sold in abundance.
Sachs' faux boutique coincides with the $20 billion Chanel's accelerating growth and shoppers' fervor for fashion artistic director Matthieu Blazy's designs. Chanel hauls have gone viral, thanks to influencers like Elle Ferguson, who posted in March about traveling 30 hours to get the other Chanel bag of the season — the maxi flap bag in shearling. (She already had scored the mini rectangular bag in gold.) TikTokers like Mikayla Nogueira are sharing their much-coveted loot too with followers.
Asked about the potential impact of Sachs' project on Chanel, Luca Solca, global luxury goods ****** yst at Bernstein, said Thursday, "Imitation is the best form of flattery. This seems to confirm how powerful Chanel has grown into our collective perception."
The New York-based Sachs focuses on recreating modern icons with everyday objects like plywood, including Le Corbusier's 1952 Unite d'Habitation with foam core and a glue gun or variations of NASA's ****** ecraft like the Lunar Module. His unyielding tongue-in-cheek career narrative touches on craftsmanship, luxury and nihilism.
In 1998, his notoriety or fame rose with the creation of a Chanel-type guillotine. Along with Chanel, Sachs has also taken aim at Hermès with his art projects including his 2006 Tiffany Value Meal — a riff on McDonalds' "Happy Meal" in Tiffany & Co's signature blue with what appeared to be the company's logo. When the Los Angeles Rams drafted tight end Terrance Ferguson in the 2025 NFL Draft, they felt they got away with highway robbery. Grabbing Ferguson in the second round was the ultimate payoff, as some believed that Sean McVay and Les Snead wanted him so badly that they were willing to draft him in the first.
However, the Atlanta Falcons gave them an offer they couldn't refuse for their first-round pick, adding a 2026 first-round selection that would become Ty Simpson, and two more 2025 picks. The Rams turned their 2025 selections into Ferguson and Konata Mumpfield, with McVay having his new athletic weapon that would revolutionize his offense.
We got a sneak peek of what that looked like last season. While Ferguson only hauled in 11 receptions, they were a fun 11, as those catches resulted in 231 yards and three touchdowns. What those targets also revealed was that Ferguson is a matchup nightmare for defensive backs and linebackers.
On Sunday, quarterback Matthew Stafford spoke about where Ferguson is in his development, stating he has a deeper understanding of the nuances of the system and is staying level-headed through the growing process.
"I think just his comfort within the system and where he fits," said Stafford. "He's a sharp guy just like the rest of those guys. I think tight end is one of the toughest positions to come in and play early. You're an extension of the offensive line in both the pass protection and the run game, but then you've got to go out there and run routes and win versus certain coverages and leverages and all that stuff too so it's a big adjustment. It's a tough thing to do.

Sarah Ferguson has reportedly offered to help Meghan Markle and Prince Harry reconnect with London's social circles. However, a source claims the offer could come with strings attached. The Duke and **** ss of Sussex recently returned to the UK with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet after six years in the US. Ferguson has also returned to England.
According to the National Examiner, Sarah Ferguson believes she can help Prince Harry and Meghan Markle find their footing in London society. The source claims the former **** ss of York still has valuable connections despite her complicated relationship with the royal establishment. "She wants to open doors for them in London society," the source reveals. "She may be persona non grata publicly right now, but she still has plenty of friends in those circles that can smooth things along for Harry and Meghan."
Ferguson has also recently returned to England. Her return comes around the same time that Harry and Meghan have begun establishing their new life in Britain with Archie and Lilibet. The source claims Ferguson is presenting her offer as a way to support Harry and Meghan because she understands what it feels like to find oneself outside the royal inner circle.
However, the insider suggests that Ferguson could also gain from helping the Sussexes. "She's framing it as a chance to help them out because she understands how hard it is to be an outsider," the source says. "But naturally this is really all about Sarah helping Sarah."
Harry and Meghan recently reunited with King Charles after years of strained family relations. The source argues that their renewed contact with the King could give Ferguson another reason to remain close to the Sussexes. "They have the ear of the King now, so it can only bode well for her if they're on side," the source explains.

For the second time in less than two weeks, the Brewers are set to face off with the Cubs. The two squads split a four-game set at Wrigley last week, and Milwaukee will play host for three games this week, the final regular-season showdown between the teams this year. Milwaukee is 6-4 against Chicago this season, though just 1-2 at home.
Since their last matchup, the Brewers dropped two of three to the Reds in Cincinnati, while the Cubs took two of three from the Marlins in Miami.
No big injury or roster updates on either side, though Chicago outfielder Ian Happ is considered day-to-day with left knee discomfort, and pitcher Javier ******* ad was recalled from Triple-A to replace Tyler Ferguson, who was optioned. Milwaukee's lone roster move is a waiver move, as Joel Kuhnel, who was DFA'd last week, was claimed by the Giants on Friday.
Just to remind you of what these two teams bring to the table offensively and on the mound, here's a quick rundown of both squads.
Milwaukee is hitting .256/.339/.400 (.739 OPS ranks fifth), with 133 homers (last), 726 runs scored (third), and 140 steals (tied for fourth). The Cubs are hitting .252/.340/.431 (.771 OPS ranks first), with 201 homers (first), 768 runs scored (first), and 102 steals (10th). Two high-scoring offenses, two very different ways of doing it.

Watch LSU fans loudly boo Jayden Daniels' name during win over Clemson originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Fans of the LSU Tigers didn't have too much to jeer at on Saturday night in Baton Rouge. Things took a turn for the worse, however, when former quarterback Jayden Daniels appeared on the scoreboard.
During a timeout, the school aired an "NFLSU" segment to commemorate past LSU Tigers who've made a name for themselves in the NFL. Lloyd Cushenberry III, Reid Ferguson, Damien Lewis, Zavion Thomas and Grant Delpit all received courteous cheers from fans remembering the good times that came from formerly watching those same players compete in Death Valley.
Amid his offseason controversy over his former No. 5 jersey being used for sophomore cornerback DJ Pickett, the Baton Rouge faithful did not take too kindly to seeing their 2022-23 quarterback's face on the scoreboard.
After much anticipation and preseason controversy, Lane Kiffin's debut began with a 51-10 rout over Clemson. Perhaps the only time LSU fans booed during Saturday's entirety, including the storm delay that postponed the game for nearly three hours, was seeing their friend-turned-foe. Here's a recap of what happened with Daniels and his former school.

Former UFC contender Tony Ferguson returns to the boxing ring Sept. 26 on the undercard of Henry Cejudo vs. "Deen The Great."
Ferguson will take on former professional soccer player Kenzo Biyong in a five-round boxing match for Misfits Boxing at James L. Knight Center in Miami.
Ferguson, 42, is 2-0 under the Misfits banner with one pro win and one exhibition win. He hasn't competed in striking competition since December when he beat Warren Spencer by unanimous decision. Prior to that, he defeated Nathaniel Bustamante, also known as "Salt Papi," by third-round TKO stoppage.
Since those boxing bouts, Ferguson took a wrestling match for RAF, which he lost to Arman Tsarukyan by technical fall.
Biyong, 28, has dabbled in combat sports before, though this will be his first outing involving striking. In April, he competed at UFC BJJ 7 and was quickly submitted by Raphael Ferreira.

There's few things more excruciating for a fantasy football manager than watching one of your players waste away on a bad offense. Whether it's poor play-calling, offensive line play or an incompetent quarterback, even the best receivers and running backs can struggle to break through because of their circumstances.
We've already identified the teams to avoid in fantasy for that reason, and now it's the flip side of that coin. Here are five teams worth targeting in 2026 fantasy football drafts, as they could produce enough offensive fireworks to have several players worth rostering.
The Chargers brought in OC Mike McDaniel to revitalize their offense after he did wonders with Tua Tagovailoa in Miami. Tackles Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt are now healthy as well, so it's full speed ahead for Justin Herbert, running back Omarion Hampton and receivers Ladd McConkey and Quentin Johnston. I'm targeting Johnston late in all my drafts, as he's the Chargers' undisputed deep threat with Herbert one of the NFL's best deep passers. Johnston is a steal at his current ADP.
Dallas has the NFL's most fearsome wide receiver duo in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens, plus a surgically accurate quarterback in Dak Prescott. Javonte Williams is also coming off a career year as the team's lead running back, and his powerful style should continue to be a perfect complement to the high-flying pass game. All four players are worth targeting, but tight end Jake Ferguson is a fade at his current ADP as his game is touchdown-reliant and lacks the verticality of, say, Isaiah Likely or Juwan Johnson.
Ben Johnson has a case to be the NFL's brightest offensive mind, so it's wise to load up on Bears in drafts. D'Andre Swift is a perfect RB2 if you go WR heavy early. Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III have a big chance to outplay their ADP if Caleb Williams can take the leap many are expecting. And as for the tight end skyrocketing up draft boards, Colston Loveland has a chance for a Travis Kelce-type season if he can stay healthy and build off the momentum he had late last season.

Many fantasy football managers will employ a late-round TE strategy going into their drafts. Once you get past the handful of elite options at TE, things get pretty flat pretty quick. With that in mind, Yahoo **** ysts Hayden Winks, Justin Boone and Scott Pianowski give you their favorite sleeper tight end for the 2026 season.
Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season
If you want the most terminally online deep sleeper, Ferguson is your guy. The 2025 second-round pick played in the most absurd role in tight end history last year under coach Sean McVay. Ferguson largely played a vertical receiving role in 2- and 3-TE sets as a downfield receiver in disguise. His average depth of target was 17.9 yards downfield. Only Tyquan Thornton, Alec Pierce and Kyle Williams were targeted more downfield!!! That will boggle the mind. Fast-forward to this year, the Rams need better talent at "WR," and Ferguson could be the answer based on what he provided last season. Davante Adams was dangled in trade discussions open to the public after a down season beyond the goal line, and trading for Tutu Atwell on Aug. 27 is never a great sign for the rest of the room. There's a chance (25%) that Ferguson is viewed as the team's WR3 this season. McVay's done crazy things like this before with Puka Nacua, Cooper Kupp, Kyren Williams, Blake Corum and 3-TE sets. — Hayden Winks

The loss of a true breakout receiver in Jayden Higgins will have significant ramifications on the Texans' passing attack. Nico Collins is an elite top target, with Jaylin Noel and Kayshon Boutte as quality contributors. However, fantasy managers shouldn't sleep on Dalton Schultz. The veteran tight end seems like a boring pick, but he's quietly coming off a strong fantasy campaign where he averaged the 11th-most points at his position over the final 13 weeks. That included finishing tied for third in receptions among tight ends (82) and sixth in receiving yards (777). With Higgins sidelined for the season, Schultz now has a chance to be C.J. Stroud's No. 2 target once again. You're not going to impress your leaguemates by taking the 30-year-old Texans tight end. But if you somehow miss out on the top-13 options at the position, Schultz is in the next group of high-end TE2s who could easily end the year as a fantasy TE1. — Justin Boone

The Los Angeles Rams are just a week away from kicking off their 2026 season in Australia, starting the year with a rivalry game against the San Francisco 49ers. Their 53-man roster is set and on Thursday, the Rams released their first unofficial depth chart of the regular season.
It's much briefer than the preseason depth chart because there are 37 fewer players on it, and even though it's unofficial, it's still useful to see how the team looks heading into Week 1. While it's not a direct reflection of how the coaching staff views starters and backups, it does show where the Rams are deepest and where they could use some more depth.
The Rams have plenty of talent at wide receiver with seven players on the depth chart, but it's clear they're a little thin at offensive tackle. Keagen Trost's injury makes David Quessenberry the backup at left and right tackle. Tutu Atwell is buried as the No. 7 wide receiver, behind CJ Daniels and Xavier Smith.
At quarterback, Stetson Bennett is penciled in as the backup to Matthew Stafford, though Sean McVay has yet to commit to a QB2 between him and Ty Simpson. As was the case in the preseason, the Rams have four co-starters at tight end: Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen and Terrance Ferguson.
There are no real surprises on defense. Aaron Donald, who was a late arrival after coming out of retirement, replaces Braden Fiske as a starter at defensive end, joining Poona Ford and Kobie Turner up front.

CHICAGO (AP) — Christian Yelich capped Milwaukee's four-run sixth inning with a tiebreaking two-run homer, helping the Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs 9-4 on Tuesday night.
Milwaukee used a 13-hit attack to restore its eight-game lead in the NL Central over Chicago, bouncing back nicely after losing 17-3 to the Cubs in the opener of the four-game series. The top three hitters in the Brewers' lineup — Jackson Chourio, Brice Turang and William Contreras — went 6 for 14 and scored four times.
A day after hitting a franchise-record nine homers, Chicago was held to three singles and three doubles on a muggy night at Wrigley Field. Tyrone Taylor drove in two runs, and BJ Murray Jr. singled in the sixth for his first hit in his major league debut.
Milwaukee went ahead to stay in the sixth. Turang scored on a balk by Daniel Palencia, and Andrew Vaughn's RBI double tied it at 3. Yelich then drove an 0-2 slider from Palencia (2-2) to right-center for his 10th homer.
Yelich also walked and scored on Joey Ortiz's eighth homer in the eighth, a two-run shot to center field off Tyler Ferguson that lifted the Brewers to a 9-4 lead.

€1 billion in 18 months: Enzo Fernandez deal means Enzo Maresca has no excuses in first Man City season originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
No amount of transfer outlay can make Enzo Maresca's Manchester City task straightforward. Following greats is hard, even for very talented coaches.
Some of the pre-season conversation saw the likes of Unai Emery and David Moyes mentioned alongside Maresca. They succeeded ******* ne Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson at ******* nal and Manchester United respectively and never really had a chance. How on earth can Maresca hope to follow Pep Guardiola successfully?
Emery and Moyes will be mentioned again after any moments of turbulence at the Etihad Stadium this season. Their cautionary tales were cited after ******* nal swept past City 3-0 in the Community Shield. There was a gulf, an unbridgeable chasm.
Of course, part of that was overreaction after a glorified friendly. The narrative of ******* nal being a stable and ******* ured force while half of the Premier League is in flux also appeals to purists' instincts. Other teams are spending hundreds of millions of pounds and sacking managers, just to try to catch up with a team that charted a steady course, trusted the process and finally won the league.

When thinking of the greatest managers of the Premier League era, ******* ne Wenger, Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola are names that belong high on the list.
They are three of the rare breed to have managed 250 games with a single Premier League club, and Mikel Arteta is now the 10th member of that elite group.
Monday's 1-0 win over Aston Villa was the 250th top-flight game in charge for Arteta with the Gunners, and his champions delivered a trademark performance.
At full-time at Villa Park, the travelling supporters sang about how they are going to win the league again with Arteta in charge.
With ******* nal coming into this season as trophy holders, and with transition affecting rivals Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United, it is hard to see how the fans' partisan prediction is going to be proved wrong.

Gary Neville couldn't speak highly enough of Bruno Fernandes following the midfielder's five-star display against Ipswich Town.
The Manchester United skipper notched a hat-trick to help cement a much-needed 5-2 victory over Ipswich in gameweek two.

Fernandes' efforts were paramount to United bouncing back from their dismal opening-day defeat to Hull City, and the Reds now have their first win on the board in 2026/2027.
Reacting at full-time on Sky Sports, Neville said: "He (Fernandes) is exceptional. He's the best United signing in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era by an absolute mile.

Actress Golda Rosheuvel opened up about a less-than-pleasant fan encounter she faced while on vacation following the global success of "Bridgerton," calling the experience "really weird and scary."
During her Tuesday appearance on Jesse Tyler Ferguson's "Dinner's on Me" podcast, Rosheuvel, reflected on the anxiety and loss of anonymity that came with her "Bridgerton" fame.
"It is helpful that we were together before it all went crazy," Rosheuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte on Netflix's romance drama, said of her wife, Shireen Mula. "Sometimes she still holds on to the old days, which can be a little difficult."
Rosheuvel offered up their newfound travel expenses as an example, noting, "I don't want to sound like a **** , but it's things like having to travel in a different seat than we used to. Do you know what I mean? And flying to Europe for £400 now rather than £50."
As Rosheuvel went on, she explained that this wasn't due to wanting a more luxurious travel experience, but out of a need for privacy.

Tuesday night was an opportunity for the St. Louis Cardinals to rebound from a profoundly disappointing end to the road trip returning home from Philadelphia, but would they? Much of that would depend on which version of Matthew Liberatore took the mound for the Cardinals. The answer is not the one most Cardinals fans were hoping for and the end result was appalling. Not to spoil this for you if you didn't see the game, but everyone in Busch Stadium that was not an Oriole's fan should demand their money back.
The game would get off to an auspicious start in the top of the 1st inning when Matthew Liberatore fielded Jackson Holliday's dribbler on the 1st base side of the mound and fired the ball over Alec Burleson's head into right field. Pete Alonso followed that with a solid single into left field with Holliday running on the play which gave the Orioles runners at first and third with no outs. Matthew would find a way out of the jam as he got Gunnar Henderson to pop out and then struck out Mayo and Encarnacion-Strand.
The top of the 3rd inning would be similar to the top of the 1st, but the result would be much different. Taveras reached as he beat out an infield hit. Jackson Holliday whistled a single into center which brought up Pete Alonzo who was not fooled by an 88 mph changeup which he sent soaring 435 feet deep into the left field stands for a 3-0 Baltimore lead. Two outs later, Encarnacion-Strand absolutely annihilated a 94 mph four-seam Liberatore fastball 450 feet even deeper into the left field stands for a 4-0 Orioles lead. That's the longest home run in Busch Stadium this season.
The Cardinals would not go away silently. Nathan Church waited on a 72 mph curveball from Orioles pitcher Chris Bassett and ripped it 405 feet into the Cardinals bullpen giving St. Louis a run making the score 4-1.
That brief moment of St. Louis Cardinals optimism was short-lived. Matthew Liberatore would not survive the 5th inning. Jackson Holliday led off with his third hit of the night followed by another single from Cardinals nemesis Pete Alonzo. Matthew Liberatore then walked Gunnar Henderson to load the bases with no one out. Liberatore's last batter was Mayo who he surrendered a single to making it 5-1 Orioles and even though Matthew was done, Baltimore wasn't done scoring. Liberatore's replacement was Peter Strzelecki who didn't fare much better than his predecessor. He immediately gave up a single to Encarnacion-Strand which plated two more Orioles upping the Baltimore lead to 7-1. Stzelecki did accomplish one good thing during his relief outing. He struck out Basallo and…yeah, that's it. Next he hit Franklin with a pitch, gave up a single to Taveras, a single to Holliday and a double to Alonzo. When the dust settled, it was 12-1 Orioles and by the time the horrific 5th inning was done, Caleb Ferguson was in the game as the designated "you're pitching until you're too tired to pitch for the rest of the game" guy.
