Alex wore Saint Laurent Fall 2026, taking the cropped cable-knit sweater from the runway and giving it a much cleaner spin with wide-leg black trousers. I've been enjoying the collection's striped pieces on the red carpet, but I like that Alex didn't recreate the runway styling. The all-black palette puts the focus on the proportions, which is what makes this work for me.
Cassie opted for a Magda Butrym wool corset dress, and this is easily my favourite part of their couple's style moment. The precise darting and padded hips create that exaggerated hourglass silhouette the designer does so well, and you know I love a well-executed exaggerated silhouette.
The dress is so good that the shoes frustrate me even more. The bronze pointed-toe pumps with criss-cross ankle straps feel disconnected from the modernity of the silhouette. A pewter strappy sandal or mule would have been a much stronger finish and allowed the dress to have the final word.

When a subject has been as exhaustively covered — and as infamous — as Elon Musk, the electric-car-entrepreneur-turned-rocket-man-turned-richest-billionaire-in-the-universe-turned-Twitter-disruptor-turned-DOGE-destroyer-turned-God-only-knows-what-he'll-do-next, reviews of a documentary about him tend to lead by plucking out the film's incendiary bits of investigative reportage, the ones that feel worthy of a news headline. "Musk," Alex Gibney's 3-hour-and-45-minute documentary about the tech bro who would be king, has a handful of those.
The biggest revelation, to me, was the film's detailed history of Musk's attempt to put a self-driving car on the market — a technology that's sure to be here at some point, though Musk, in his race to be first, was far too eager to announce that it had already happened. Tesla released its Autopilot driver-assist system in 2015 (and then the Full Self-Driving Beta program in 2020), marketing the new technology with ads that exaggerated the car's powers. And so people were suckered. From the outset, there were accidents. More than 60 fatalities have been linked to Tesla's driver-assistance systems. Talk about something that could put a dent in your image! But Musk, for the most part, succeeded in hushing up the lawsuits, the federal investigations, and the fatal crashes, which were evidence of a recklessness that should have given the whole world pause.

With huge blond status wigs – Tennessee by way of the court of Versailles – a fondness for glitter and high heels and tightly cut clothes that showed off her exaggerated proportions, she made herself as recognizable as Coca-Cola while employing and subverting the tropes of femininity and of country music.

In his first 7 games of the season, Slade Cecconi got off to one of the worst starts to a season a starting pitcher could possibly have. He had a 6.56 ERA, a 5.79 FIP, and was giving up 2.02 HRs per 9 innings pitched. In the 9 starts since, his ERA has gone down to 2.96, his FIP to 3.47, and the HR/9 rate is down to 0.74. So, has Slade turned things around? Let's break it down.
Before getting into some of the changes he's made, it's important to look at the information we already have a bit more closely. There's a natural ebb and flow in a baseball season, as both hitters and pitchers will experience changing conditions in the field. Batted ball distribution, luck, and defensive performance behind a pitcher can fluctuate, and because of that, surface level results can often be cloudy. For example, on the surface, a pitcher putting up an ERA 3.50 runs lower than they had been and a FIP drop of almost 2.50 sound amazing, but if we look at his xERA and xFIP numbers, they tell a slightly different story. For example, look at the following table:
We can see that in those first starts, Slade was actually getting significantly higher than expected results, and in the more recent set of starts we see the opposite. (Granted, the more recent difference is not as extreme.) This leads us to conclude that baseball variance has amplified both ends of this equation. The good news is that even though the degree of the new performance is a little bit overexaggerated by the under and then overperformance relative to expected metrics, we can see there still appears to be a definite improvement that's happened, even if it's less of one than we originally might have thought. In order to get to an answer, we're going to take a look deeper at his more specific quality of contact numbers and see if we can find any differences that would explain this extreme change in results. He has covered a wide range of news and sporting events, including 15 Super Bowls, seven Olympics and countless Major golf tournaments.
I shot this photo because the evening sun was streaming through the stadium, creating long shadows of players on the field from my photo position way up in the catwalk. We usually don’t get to shoot from these elevated positions. It's a kind of catch-all photo position at larger events where we have a team of photographers on the ground. It’s not a primary position, but it can make unique photos that you just don’t see from down below. I thought the shadows could make an interesting frame and break up all the action photos my colleagues were shooting. It just took a little time before a couple players would enter the band of light and cast their shadows.
I made this photo from the stadium catwalk with a handheld Sony A1 Mark II and 600mm lens. An elevator ride, a hike up the stands and then a few tight ladders to climb. I tried to pack light, but didn’t. No going up and down for forgotten items. Dodging cables and ducking beams. Shooting through the stadium lights. Searching for ethernet lines that worked. Trying not to look straight down.
I think this frame works mainly because of the players’ body language and the ball — still flying in — are mirrored and exaggerated by the long shadow. The players' strained faces is a nice bonus.

Actor Charlie Sheen and "aka Charlie Sheen" director Andrew Renzi are reflecting on the actor's life following the much-discussed Netflix documentary. In a new interview, Sheen explained that being sober allowed him to participate honestly in the project and revisit some difficult topics, such as his past drug use and public scandals. Sheen also praised Renzi's approach, saying he felt the documentary focused on understanding him as a person rather than exploiting his past controversies.
